Fixing Mistakes

Chapter 15 - Family Time

Caroline awoke wrapped in Klaus's arms. Looking over toward the window she noticed a patch of sunlight creeping past the drapes. She stared at her newly returned ring as a thought occurred to her, in the future this is my daylight ring...could it still be? With that in mind she carefully untangled herself from Klaus and left the bed. Moving toward the window she held her hand out toward the patch of sunlight and held her breath as the sun touched her skin.

Sizzle.

Caroline hissed in pain as she snatched her hand away as it burnt in the sunlight. She flexed her hand out as it healed. So it was only Bonnie's magic that had made it a daylight ring and not the ring itself.

"What the hell are you doing?" Klaus exclaimed as he leapt out of bed. The smell of burning flesh had woke him and seeing Caroline by the window had caused his heart to stop. Was she trying to kill herself?

Caroline spun around to face Klaus, her hand was just turning pink from where it had singed. She winced at the look on his face, she admitted to herself it didn't look good. An embarrassed look on her face she confessed, "An experiment."

"An experiment?" Klaus raised his eyebrows in disbelief, "That you needed to burn yourself in the sun for?"

"Yeah?" Caroline answered in the form of a question.

"And what, exactly, was the experiment for?" Klaus asked, needing to understand why Caroline would do such a thing.

Caroline hesitating, going over what she could reveal in her head before answering, "I...had a daylight ring...back in Mystic Falls..." She bit her lip before continuing, "I wanted to know whether...the magic...still worked." She held up her hand and quirked her lips, "Obviously it hadn't."

Klaus narrowed his eyes at Caroline. That sounded like the truth and yet didn't at the same time. Her being from the future made it virtually impossible for him to dispute what she said, after all, how could he prove it? Deciding to let it go for now he enquired, "What witch made your ring?"

A wide grin overtook Caroline's face, "Bonnie, one of my best friends." She chuckled as she recalled herself, Bonnie and Stefan sitting in her room as Bonnie reluctantly made her a daylight ring, "She was wary at first of making me a ring but Stefan vowed that he would take care of me and she eventually agreed." Her grin died down until it was a sad smile, "He kept his promise. He helped make me into the person I've become and in the process he became one of my best friends. A few years later I returned the favour and promised him that I would look out for him."

"You and this Stefan were close?" Klaus asked, a jealous note to his tone.

"Very close." Caroline smiled as she thought of how easy it was between her and Stefan. She could be herself with him just as he could with her. There were no secrets and no judgement between them, "For a while it felt like it was just Stefan and Caroline against the world. All our friends had problems of their own and the latest thousand years old monster was trying to kill us. We had each others back." Caroline truly did miss Stefan, his calm presence, sympathetic ear, and his frequently repressed sense of humour. In a way Elijah reminded her very much of Stefan, they both had that calm and yet commanding presence.

Klaus didn't like it. He didn't like the smile on Caroline's face as she talked about this Stefan and sure as hell didn't like the affection in her tone. He knew she had courted another man, could that be him? He had to know. Clearing his throat he asked with trepidation, "Is Stefan the man you were courting?" He held his breath.

"What? No!" Caroline gasped in shock, how did Klaus get that impression? "God no! Stefan is my friend and mentor. He was made a vampire a hundred and fifty years before I was." She placed her hands on Klaus's and squeezed it in reassurance, "He is my friend and nothing more."

Klaus released a breath in relief, "I still don't have to like him."

Caroline bit her lip to hold in her grin, "One day you might."

"Not likely." Klaus huffed, he didn't think he would like any male in Caroline's life, friend or not. Cocking his head he had to ask, "Just how many men do I have to compete with?"

Caroline laughed, shaking her head with affection at her possessive husband. Deciding to tease him she replied, "Well, there's Stefan, and Matt, and Tyler, and Jeremy, and Damon, and Jessie but he died so he doesn't count."

Klaus growled. Hearing Caroline rattle off the names of the men she knew raised his hackles. She was his. His wife. HIS. No one elses. Curling his hand in her blonde tresses he pulled her to his lips and claimed her with a bruising kiss. He pulled back just enough to whisper against her lips, "Mine!" Before retaking her lips with his.

Caroline smiled into Klaus's kiss. Even though his werewolf side was bound the instincts and behaviours of the wolf still recided within him. He was possessive, quick to temper and craved loyalty. He needed a pack, and above all he needed to belong to something. He treated his family like they were his pack and as if he were their alpha - vampires however were not werewolves - and soon that relationship could become controlling and stifling. Same thing with his Hybrids, he sired them so that they would obey him and would never leave him or betray him like he perceived his family had but that hadn't worked. The sirebond - which forced them to be supernaturally loyal - made them resentful of Klaus's control over them and their inability to resist his commands. So they rebelled, and all died in the process. Betrayed by their friend, killed by the hand of their maker, and all of it was just so Silas could rise, take the cure and then die. The whole thing was pointless and tragic.

Klaus broke the kiss and rest his head against Caroline's. He knew he was a possessive creature and he didn't care. Once something was his it would always be his. And Caroline would always be his no matter how many men he would have to kill or compel to keep her with him. He made no apologies for the way he was. Recalling that Caroline was unable to walk in the sun he promised, "I will summon a witch to rectify your daylight issue."

"You don't have too." Caroline smiled at Klaus gratefully for the offer but it was already taken care of, "Elijah has already sent for a witch and she is due any day now."

Klaus was unhappy that Elijah had been the one to help Caroline when it should have been him. He reached for her left hand and brought it to his lips where he brushed a kiss against her ring, "I am sorry that I was not there for you like I should have been." He held her gaze as his eyes filled with sorrow, "And I am truly sorry for the hurtful things I said to you. I did not mean any of it."

"I know." Caroline replied softly, "I know how you are. I know you lash out at the people you care about when you are hurt. And I forgive you." She wrapped her arms around him and held him against her as she took comfort from his presence, "But...thank you for apologizing. That means everything to me." She kissed his pulse point, "I love you."

"I love you too." Klaus replied, smiling into Caroline's hair.

"I see you've finally made it out of the bedroom." Rebekah commentated as Caroline and Klaus joined them in the dining room.

"Bekah!" Caroline glared, and blushed, at Rebekah's comment. It was true, she and Klaus had spent the last two days hashing things out and reaquanting themselves.

Klaus smirked, his eyes devilish as he recalled all the ways he had indulged himself in Caroline's body. He still was nowhere near done with her, he had six hundred years to make up for.

Caroline hit Klaus on the arm, "Stop smirking, Niklaus!"

Klaus's smirk grew wider.

Caroline rolled her eyes.

"Nice to see you two being nice to one another." Elijah noted smiling. It was hard to watch his brother be so horrible to Caroline when he knew how much Klaus had missed her. It heartened him to see them happy now, they may be bickering but he could see their underlining love for each other.

"Yes, it was rather tense this past week." Rebekah agreed, she knew Klaus was an idiot for trying to push the love of his life away, especially as she could see how miserable he had been watching Caroline from afar.

"Well," Klaus placed his arm around the back of Caroline's chair and stroked the bare skin of her shoulder, "how am I to resist her? I never could when we human."

Caroline grinned. Klaus had been damn near insatiable once he had a taste of love making, whenever Ayana was not around - which was a lot, bless her soul - they would indulge their bodily craving. Caroline was sure that if she hadn't travelled through time and become a vampire again she could very well have ended up pregnant. Not that that would have been a bad thing, per se, but something she was not quite sure she would have been ready for. She had made her peace with the fact she would never have children, the immortality she received in return would more than make up for it, she now had forever to do everything she had ever wanted too and she could explore every single inch of the world.

Klaus smirk turned into a smile as he caught Caroline's gaze. He knew what she was thinking about, their very active sex life. He recalled one memory where he had taken her against the tree in the orchid where he had seen her and Henrik pick apples. He was completely lost in her as a human, he rushed through his daily chores so that he could return to her and make love to her. Those memories of their too short wedded bliss had sustained him for centuries, when he was at his lowest he would lose himself inside his memories and cherish the happiness of their time together.

Rebekah decided to interrupt before Caroline and Klaus were lost to the bedroom again, "Are you going to finally tell us just how you and Henrik came to be here now that you've informed Nik?" She raised her eyebrow, "You have told him, haven't you?"

"Yes, I've told him." Caroline rolled her eyes at Rebekah's impatience, "And yes I will tell you what happened to Henrik and I."

"Go on." Rebekah motioned her hand at Caroline for her to continue.

"Let us at least have breakfast first." Klaus shook his head at Rebekah's need to know everything, it had grown tiresome over the last few centuries. He motioned at the maid to bring himself and Caroline food.

A few minutes later plates filled with bacon, eggs, tomatoes and toast were placed in front of Caroline and Klaus. A moment later wine glasses filled with blood were placed in front of them.

Caroline dug into her food as she was starving after her and Klaus's activities. Obviously she was hungry for blood but she found if she lined her stomach with food first the blood would sustain her longer. Whenever possible she sublimated her human blood diet with the occasional animal she hunted in the woods, it had not been easy as she can only do it at night, at least until the witch Elijah had sent for arrived.

Rebekah waited long enough for Caroline and Klaus to empty their plates before asking, "Ready to talk?"

Caroline nodded and took a sip of blood before answering, "Henrik and I were transported through time."

"What?! That's not possible." Rebekah gasped shocked. Time travel was not possible, every witch knew this and she had been studying witchcraft before becoming a vampire.

"Trust me, it is." Caroline replied, she herself thought time travel was impossible but she was living proof that it indeed was, "I would never have met any of you if it wasn't."

"What do you mean?" Rebekah asked.

Before Caroline could reply Kol entered the dining room. He gestured for the servant to bring him blood and sat down next to Elijah. Grinning at his family he asked, "Why the serious faces? Are you discussing adult things? If so let me put my serious face on." He furrowed his brow and pursed his lips. He placed his elbows on the table and rest his chin on his hands.

Chuckling at Kol's serious face Caroline picked up where she left off, "I am originally from the year 2014. I was in the woods one day when a storm came out of nowhere, lightning hit the ground in front of me and I was encircled in a ring of fire. It grew so hot that I passed out and the next thing I knew I woke up on the ground and the first person I saw was Finn." She hesitated for a moment before revealing, "I knew instantly that I was no longer in my time."

"How?" Elijah asked. His suspicions were confirmed that Caroline was from the future, after what she told him about Katerina he was certain that she was from another time. He was curious as to why Caroline would know it was the past from Finn's appearance.

"Because I had met Finn in my time. As a vampire." Caroline answered.

"Then why wouldn't you just assume that he was the Finn from your own time?" Elijah asked, eying Caroline with sharp eyes, "You couldn't know instantly that he was human."

Caroline shared a look with Klaus, she widened her eyes as she asked his opinion without words. His gaze immediately shuttered and his hand tightened almost painfully on her shoulder. He understood.

So it was Finn. That was whom Caroline, or one of her friends, had killed. Klaus had an urge to run to the basement and check on Finn, to make sure the dagger was still in his chest, that he was only sleeping and not dead. Swallowing down the impulse he gave Caroline an almost indiscernible nod of his head.

Caroline took a deep shuddering breath, "I did know when I saw him because where I'm from Finn is dead."

Chaos exploded around the room.

"Not even Finn would be so stupid as to die." Kol exclaimed, disbelieving that his eldest brother would die. He may be a bore but he was still his brother.

"No!" Tears sprung to Rebekah's eyes at the knowledge her brother was to die in the future.

Elijah noted Klaus's barely hidden rage, and prior knowledge of their brother's death. Only he and Klaus knew of Finn's thoughts of suicide, that he so hated being a vampire and despaired of himself for turning Sage into a monster that he attempted to contact Mikael to kill himself. That was why Elijah and Klaus had put Finn down together, his actions had endangered their family so they daggered him and vowed to one day let him out. Now they knew he would die, the only question was how? Did he commit suicide or was he murdered? And if it was, was it their father or someone else?

Klaus knew Elijah's gaze was fixed on him. He locked eyes with him and shook his head, telling his brother that he didn't know how it happened, Elijah raised his eyebrow and Klaus nodded his reply. He would find out how it happened and most importantly when.

"So." Elijah cleared his throat of the emotion clogging it, he would not get upset about his brother's impending death because it would not happen. He would not let it happen, "If you knew Finn in your time as a vampire then you knew when you met us as humans what we would become."

"I did." Caroline confessed, she was scared of their reaction to her prior knowledge so she elaborated, "It happened slightly different the first time."

"How?" Elijah asked, he was not sure how he felt that Caroline knew their mother would turn them into vampires and did nothing, to his knowledge, to prevent it.

"Well, Henrik died and in her grief at losing a child Esther turned you all into vampires." Caroline twisted her hands together and added, "So it was a good thing Henrik came with me because he is now alive when he should have been dead." She held her hands up and reassured them, "Not that I planned it."

"That's not exactly that different to what we thought had happened." Rebekah stated, her mother had turned them into vampires because she was grieving the loss of Henrik and Caroline.

"True." Caroline agreed, before adding, "What was different was that this time around I was there and I married Niklaus."

"Is that why you never changed anything or told us about what would happen to us?" Elijah asked, curious to know Caroline's answer.

"I thought about it." Caroline admitted, recalling the decision to let what would happen happen as she stared at the Great White Oak tree, "I looked upon that tree and thought how easy it would be to prevent every person you'd ever killed from dying if I just burnt it down."

"What changed your mind?" Klaus was the one to ask this time. He needed to know why Caroline didn't prevent them from turning into vampires, he had noticed that she never killed and reluctantly drunk the blood that was put in front of her.

"You." Caroline smiled at Klaus, "And all of my friends in the future. If one of them was never made into a vampire he wouldn't be around to save the life of my best friend." Another thought occurred to her, "Or I might never have been born. A lot of things could change by my acts." She snorted in amusement, "I don't even know how much I've changed it already by marrying Niklaus and saving Henrik. Though you were still turned into vampires so at least that didn't change."

"Why did you not tell me? I was your best friend!" Rebekah cried, upset that Caroline had lied to her when they were human and didn't feel that she could tell her.

"Bekah..." Caroline sighed before asking, "Honestly, would you have believed me?"

Rebekah thought about it for a moment before replying, "I do not know."

"Did you try and change anything once you came to the past?" Klaus asked.

Caroline nodded, "Do you remember the night of the full moon when the wolf attacked me as I was searching for Henrik?"

"Of course." Klaus replied, "Why?"

"I don't know for a fact but I am pretty sure that was the night that Henrik was supposed to die." Caroline pushed some hair behind her ear as she shared more, "I spent so long in the woods looking for him because I was convinced that he was going to die and I was going to do everything in my power to prevent that."

"Good." Elijah was pleased to know that Caroline had actively tried to prevent Henrik's death. Now he just needed to know more about Finn's death.

"Thank you!" Rebekah's gaze was filled with nothing but sincerity.

"I was not going to let anything happen to him. He is innocent and didn't deserve that fate." Caroline answered honestly, "I didn't care if I never became a vampire again so long as he was alive."

"I am grateful that you did." Elijah replied, he was thankful that Caroline had saved Henrik from death. Henrik did not deserve that, his brother was the kindest and most gentlest soul he had ever known.

"Thank you, Caroline." Klaus slipped his hand in Caroline's hand and squeezed it gently. He was still angry about Finn's death in the future, and they would hash that out, but for now he was grateful that she had saved Henrik.

"Thanks, sister." Kol was very grateful to Caroline. He may not always get on with every member of his family all of the time, but Henrik however was someone that he always had time for and enjoyed joining in with his childish games.

Caroline ducked her head at their praise feeling that it was undeserved, especially from Kol. Klaus now knew that it was Finn that had died but she hadn't told him that Kol was also dead. How would that affect their marriage if she told him that she was involved in one brother's death and knew of the others. She did not have any knowledge of what Elena and Jeremy had planned, she didn't know Kol was dead until after the fact. She winced at the memory of all those things she said to Klaus and what a heartless bitch she had been provoking him while standing next to the blackened corpse of his dead brother. At the time she had truly meant them, hating him for what he'd done to Tyler's mother and the Hybrids, but underneath all that was bitter disappointment that the Klaus she had been growing closer to had done that. She was more angry at herself because she was falling for him. Then he bit her and she was dying, she could barely remember half of what she said but she does recall telling him that she knew he was in love with her, she doesn't remember his response but she heard in the darkness a desperate calling of her name.

Henrik entered the room. He was escorted by a new servant, Etta, that the Mikaelson's had hired to help take care of him. She was compelled to forget everything she saw or heard. She was also aware of them being vampires but she could not tell anyone else. Etta was around five foot tall, in her late thirties and had mousy brown hair that was tied in a braid that reached the middle of her back. She wore a dark grey, long sleeved, button up dress. Her face was plain, dull dark brown eyes, a crooked nose that slanted to the left, sullen cheeks and a small for her face mouth that had thin lips. Her voice was the most remarkable thing about her and that was only because she was Irish.

"Here you are, Master Henrik." Etta pulled out a chair for Henrik and sat him at the table, "I will be back in a moment with your food." She was back in a few minutes with a plate of bacon, eggs and toast, with a tall glass of orange juice. She folded her hands in front of her as she told Henrik, "I will be in my quarters if you need me." She raised her head to address the rest of the Mikaelson's, "I shall take my leave now."

"Go." Rebekah waved her hand dismissively, "We'll call if we need you."

Etta bowed before leaving the dining room and walked towards her room. She tried not to be in the same room as the Mikaelson's for long as they creeped her out and terrified her that she would be next on their menu.

The conversation dulled at the table as they waited for Henrik to finish his meal. They all knew it was past time to let Henrik know what they all were, the only reason he hadn't asked was because Rebekah had compelled him not to.

"Henrik?" Rebekah called once Henrik had finished eating, once their eyes locked she compelled, "I release you from all compulsion."

Henrik's eyes clouded for a moment then he closed them and gasped as he was finally aware of what he had witnessed since reuniting with his family. Rebekah, Klaus, Elijah and Kol with faces like Caroline drinking what he thought was red wine but could be only one thing if they were what Caroline was. Blood. Staring at his family with wide eyes he whispered, "Vampires." At the truth in their eyes he repeated, "You are all vampires."

"Yes we are." Elijah replied, honesty in his eyes as he spoke for all of his family, "We were created after you and Caroline disappeared. Mother was so despaired at your deaths that she didn't want to lose another child so she made us vampires."

"How are you still alive?" Henrik asked the question that had been plaguing him.

"Mother made us immortals." Elijah gestured to himself, Kol, Rebekah and Klaus, "We are the first of our kind, the Original family of vampires, and we cannot be killed."

"We will live forever," Rebekah spoke next, "which is how we are here now, unchanged, centuries after you last saw us."

Henrik took that information in for a minute. His whole family were now vampires, were they monsters like the man that had attacked him or were they like Caroline? Think about her brought a question to his lips, "You knew. That is how you know more about us then you let on."

"I did." Caroline answered truthfully, there was no need for secrets now, "I knew your family in the future."

Henrik tilted his head and asked, "Are you immortal like my siblings? You cannot die."

"I could possibly live forever but no I could be killed if someone staked me." Caroline answered, explaining to Henrik the difference, "Your siblings are special, they are the first of my kind, I was turned by a vampire that was created by someone they had turned. All vampires come from them."

"You're wrong, Caroline." Klaus stated.

Caroline creased her brow in confusion, "What do you mean?"

"There is no maybe about it." Klaus slipped his hand into Caroline's and squeezed, "You WILL live forever. I will make sure of it." He leant his head toward her and brushed his mouth against her cheek, "I will never lose you again."

"Except if I am sent back to the future." Caroline reminded Klaus, not wanting him to forget what could still happen, "Then you could lose me."

Klaus shook his head, "Not even then." His gaze never leaving Caroline as he promised, "I will never lose you because I will always find you." He rubbed his nose against her, "No matter where or when you are I will find you."

Caroline couldn't help the grin that covered her lips as Klaus repeated his promise to find her. How did she get so lucky as to fall in love with Klaus not once but twice. In the future, the past and now, she loved him and she would never stop. Tilting her head up she covered his lips with hers.

Klaus kissed Caroline gently, his lips just brushing against hers, teasing himself with just the barest hint of her taste. While he would love to indulge himself and feast on her delectable mouth, he was aware of his family so he kept the kiss sweet, lightly brushing their mouths against each others.

"Are you done?" Rebekah huffed, knowing that she would have to get used to them being all over one another, as when they were humans they were slightly more reserved.

Caroline giggled as she broke away from Klaus. She laid her head on his shoulder and shot Rebekah an apologetic smile.

"What blood do you drink?" Henrik suddenly asked, "Human or animals?"

"Ew!" Rebekah shuddered, "Why on earth would I drink from disgusting animals."

"Caroline does." Henrik replied.

Every eye in the room turned to Caroline with equal looks of disgust and curiosity.

Caroline swallowed hard before explaining, "I prefer not to hurt anyone if I can. Drinking animal blood is gross but it does sustain me."

"But why?" Rebekah asked, her lip curled with distaste, "There are plenty of humans around and you don't have to kill them if you don't want to." She shrugged, "Just compel them."

"When I was human the first time, a vampire used me for blood and..." Caroline remembered Henrik's presence and changed what she was going to say, "other stuff. He compelled me to forget, or to not react to his vampirism, but I still had holes in my memory that I didn't understand and whenever I was near him I felt this fear that I didn't understand." She bit her lip, tears in her eyes as she continued, "Not until I transitioned and I remembered everything he had ever done to me or made me do. I never wanted to make another person feel like that."

A crack was heard. Klaus had been holding on so hard to the wooden arm rest of his chair that it broke in his hand. He knew what Caroline hadn't said, he could read into her words and her body language, this vampire had used her for sex. The thought made his fangs want to slide out of his jaw and rip apart the man who'd dared lay a finger on his wife. Clenching his jaw he growled, his voice deadly, "Who is he?"

Caroline winced at the menace in Klaus's voice. She should have known that he would have figured it out, he wasn't stupid. No matter how much she disliked Damon she could not reveal his name, he was Stefan's brother and Elena was in love with him. If she told Klaus his name Damon would be dead the first time he met Klaus or even before he came to Mystic Falls. She couldn't risk it.

Klaus noticed Caroline's hesitation. How could she even hesitate to name the man whom abused her, the mere thought that she was trying to protect him caused his anger to flare, "Who. Was. It?"

Caroline looked down at her lap and answered quietly, "I can't tell you."

Klaus grabbed hold of Caroline's chin forcing her to face him and yelled, "TELL ME!"

Caroline's eyes dilated and she answered, "Dam-" She slapped her hand over mouth and mumbled the rest into her hand. Jumping out of her seat she turned betrayed eyes on Klaus and slapped him in the face, "How could you do that to me?"

Klaus rubbed his cheek and glared at Caroline, "You wouldn't tell me."

Tears filled Caroline's eyes, "After what I just told you how could you think it was okay to compel me?" Not waiting for Klaus's response she addressed Elijah, "Could you get me some vervain please, Elijah," she glared at Klaus, "as soon as possible."

"Caroline..." Klaus began to speak before Caroline interrupted.

"No." Caroline turned away, "I will not speak to you again until I have vervain in my system." She whooshed away.

"You are an idiot." Rebekah declared before following Caroline.

"You are in the doghouse." Kol sing songed, a smirk on his face and a chuckle in his voice.

"Be quiet, Kol." Klaus hissed, wanting to kill something so bad for upsetting Caroline but still not sure he had done anything too bad.

Kol just laughed in response, "I shall enjoy having Caroline back very much."

Klaus growled.

"Leave and take Henrik with you." Elijah ordered Kol.

"Elijah.." Kol pouted.

"Go." Elijah's voice brookered no argument.

"Fine!" Kol huffed before walking to Henrik and holding his hand out, "Come, Hen, let us have some fun."

Henrik was slightly wary after everything that had just happened, but Kol was still his brother and some fresh air would do him good. He took Kol's hand and followed him.

Elijah and Klaus sat in silence for a few minutes before Klaus grumbled, "Stop staring, Elijah."

Elijah slightly smiled, "Do you know what it is that you've done wrong?"

Klaus crossed his arms over his chest and narrowed his eyes at Elijah.

Elijah's smile turned into a grin, "Then I shall still stare at you until you do."

Klaus just glared.

Caroline paced in the library, she was so angry that Klaus thought it was alright to compel her, especially after she told him what Damon had done to her. They had only just got back on track and now he did this.

Rebekah entered the room and sat on one of the armchairs, "My brother is an idiot."

"I know." Caroline huffed.

"He will always be an idiot." Rebekah smirked, "A gigantic ass of an idiot, in fact."

"I know that too." Caroline replied.

"But you love him anyway." Rebekah smiled knowingly.

"Yes, I do." Caroline sighed, her anger giving way to hurt, "Doesn't mean I have to forgive him straight away."

"Then don't." Rebekah furrowed her brow as she thought hard. As an idea came to her, she grinned widely and her eyes lit up.

"Do I even want to ask?" Caroline asked, hesitating at the glee on Rebekah's face.

Rebekah smirked, "I shall throw you a ball."

"A ball?" Caroline raised her eyebrows.

Rebekah nodded enthusiastically, "I shall dress you in the most amazing gown and make you the most beautiful woman there, besides myself of course." She grinned evilly, "All the male attention you will be getting will make Nik so jealous that he will beg you to talk to him.

Caroline smirked, her eyes were as devious as Rebekah's as she thought of how jealous Klaus would be, paybacks a bitch, Klaus.
