Angelica shivered at the sound of Sister Alexandria's voice. "What do you want?" Angelica asked. She could've been nicer, but since she wasn't affiliated with this woman anymore, Angelica saw no reason to try and appeal to her better nature. Sister Alexandria cocked an eyebrow.

"You will watch your tone with me, Miss Angelica. And don't think that I haven't forgotten the day when you stood up and left. Now, you will follow me, and you," she jabbed a finger at Stephanie, who had crossed her arms, "will go to bed this instant." Sister Alexandria shuffled out of the room. Angelica stomped out after her, silently cursing the old woman.

Angelica was never fond of Sister Alexandria. Even when she was learning the ways of being a nun. Alexandria was always the one who gave them smaller meal portions. Always the one who gave them extra chores. Always the one who sent the girls to bed early. Angelica had no idea how long Alexandria had been a Sister at this convent.

Walking down the hall, Angelica noticed that Jack wasn't there. "Where is Jack?" She demanded. Sister Alexandria barely looked over her shoulder.

"Who? Oh, the filthy pirate. Yes, I took care of him. In here," she opened an oak door that led to a very cramped space. It smelled like mothballs and had cobwebs strewn along the walls and ceiling. Taking a seat in the only chair of the room, Sister Alexandria crossed her ankles and placed her hands on her lap. "Well? Why were you here? Explain." She said bitterly. Angelica stood silent for a while.

"I'm not telling you," She said defiantly. Alexandria raised an eyebrow.

"You will do as I say-"

"I don't belong to this convent anymore," Angelica interrupted bitterly, "I don't belong to you."

"Miss. Angelica-" Alexandria started to speak, but was cut off again by Angelica.

"Angelica. Nothing more, nothing less. I have no interest in being a nun anymore. I realized that the second I met you," Angelica spit the words harshly. She didn't care if she was being rude. Alexandria had been rude to her for 24 years.

"Fine," Alexandria said coldly, her lips forming a tight line. "Now I will ask again. Why are you here?" Angelica had no choice but to respond.

"I wanted to retrieve something that I left here." Angelica said.

"If you were so keen on leaving, you shouldn't have left it in the first place." Alexandria's voice was becoming louder and meaner. She didn't like talking to people for this long, much less people who chose to talk back.

"It wasn't my choice when I would leave. Somebody else offered to take me, and God knows I wouldn't refuse," Angelica retorted. Alexandria lost her calm. She stood up and slammed her hands on the table.

"Do NOT take the Lord's name in vain in my office. I don't know what kind of dirt you pirates have said, but let's make one thing clear: I will not have dirty-mouthed wenches in my convent. Do you know why I've been so harsh? It's because I want these girls to grow up to be strong young women. They learn from me personally to not disrespect their elders and superiors, or they will suffer the consequences." Alexandria furrowed her eyebrows, giving Angelica an angry look. Angelica stood there, livid from what she just heard.

"You don't want these children to be strong. You want them to bow to you like you are their leader. You wanted everyone to respect you and only you. Don't you even think that what these girls want to learn is what you're saying. Well, you're wrong. Isn't that why many girls, including myself, have left?" Angelica didn't know how Alexandria would react, but she wanted to get that off her chest. Alexandria stood silent for a while before opening her mouth.

"Juan! Julio! Get in here, now!" She barked. Seconds later, two strong men walked into the room, stomping their feet. Angelica backed up, smiling nervously at them. She waved slightly. They looked towards Alexandria. "Take Miss Angelica to our place for…special people." Alexandria smirked coyly as each man grabbed Angelica by the arms and dragged her out of the rooms. She kicked and struggled to get free.

"Where are you taking me?" She demanded, trying to reach for her sword. The bigger man looked down at her.

"Quiet!" He yelled. His voice echoed throughout the chapel walls. Before long, the men were pulling her down a deep staircase. They came into a room that was dimly lit. From her peripheral vision, she saw unlit torches adorning the wall, and metal bars along the walls. The floor was brick, but it felt like mud with all the water pooling in cracks. There was a deafening squeak of a door, and Angelica was thrown into a hard pile of hay. She ran to the door, but one of the men slammed it shut. They both laughed, mocking her.

"Damn you!" She yelled forcefully, not caring that she was under the roof of God. She banged on the door until she realized it was no use. She hung her head; not from sadness, but from surrender.

"Good to see you, love," A voice purred right next to her ear. Angelica screamed and hit the stranger in the stomach, whirling around and brandishing her sword. She dropped it in annoyance when she saw his face.

"Jack! Don't do that," she playfully punched him in the arm. Hard.

"Ow!' He protested, rubbing his shoulder. "Don't leave me alone in the halls of Hell," he replied. Angelica couldn't help but laugh. Her religious side was long gone. "Well, tell me. What happened?" Jack asked Angelica, sitting down on some hay.

"I was rude to Sister Alexandria. How did you get in here?" Angelica asked, taking a seat next to Jack, looking into his dark brown eyes.

"As soon as that one girl woke up-I swear that woman has a bloody alarm system everywhere- those two bastards came down the hall and yanked me off my feet and threw me in here. Stupid convents. Now you know why I stick to pubs." Jack grunted.

Angelica chuckled a bit and smiled at Jack. "Well, at least we're in a cell together. I mean, look around. There can't be less than 50. We can come up with an escape route." Jack nodded closing his eyes. He breathed heavily and opened his eyes to Angelica, staring at him a few centimeters away. He leapt back in surprise, but she put a hand on his shoulder and gave him a light kiss. "I'm going to sleep," she said nonchalantly, backing up into a pile of hay. She lay down and closed her eyes, and she could swear that she sensed Jack smiling to himself.

Heyo! Sorry this chapter is short, I couldn't realty think of a plot for this and it got kind of boring. S I added some flirting and there you go. I have a plan for the rest of the chapters, so I won't be stuck with writer's block at all. Sadly there is only going to be 23 chapters, because there is only so far a treasure hunt can go. Xc BUT DON'T WORRY I HAVE THE PERFECT ENDING. Hope you enjoyed!

Please review! I know it's such a little thing, but everything helps. My goal is to have 200 comments by the time this story is done, so please tell your friends and followers about this. I would be MORE than happy. :D
