Chapter 4

I own nada except for the OCs of mine!

June 19th 2008

It had been a few days since the family dinner at her grandparents and after Rick had come and apologized to her about trying to pursue a relationship with her because of how he had believed Ridge had been treating his mother and him saying how it had been for the wrong reasons and that since he now knew what had actually happened between his mother and Ridge, he wanted to make sure she knew that his actions were based on lies from his mother and not actual feelings on his part, Phoebe told him that there weren't really any feelings from her side either and that events at the family dinner had proved that to her, though it still hurt her deeply that someone could use someone else like that because of something that they had heard from someone.

Phoebe had been having these dreams about a woman with long brown locks, green eyes with a slight brown tint to them and the most alluring lips she'd ever seen for years now, she even had them during her brief relationship with Rick and that's what caused her to realize that maybe she wasn't into guys as most other girls were, but what had started her thoughts that she might be into girls was when she had started High School and she saw one of the most gorgeous girls she'd ever seen. Lillian 'Lillie' Jaks, all red hair, green eyes and her laugh just lit up the world. She loved dancing and she was in most of the plays that the school put up. Since Phoebe was so shy, she didn't have the courage to speak to Lillie, so she decided to join the cast and this is how she discovered her singing voice. The moment Phoebe realized that Lillie was going to graduate that spring, she had a bit of a small melt down, she realized though that there were other girls in the world. When Rick started to pursue her just as she turned 18, she still wasn't completely sure that she was only into girls, but believing that Rick was with her because he wanted to be with her made her atleast try to be, but it didn't matter and when their relationship ended after she had heard that her fathers girlfriend was Ricks ex from Paris and that Rick was keeping Phoebe from finding this out, she was relieved that it was over. Then that family dinner turned everything on it's head and it all made perfect sense now. Kimberly Fairchild was the woman in her dreams and there was nothing else to think about, for the last three days she's been trying to find her, without it being too obvious. Just as she was walking into the coffee place, she noticed Kimberly was walking towards it too, so she waved and as Kimberly got closer she asked 'You getting a coffee?' Kimberly looked up from her phone as she heard someone talking to her and she replied 'Phoebe, Hi! Yes, I am, would you like to join me?' At this question Phoebe's stomach started fluttering as the butterflies were exited. She answered 'Yeah, I'd like that' Kimberly then asked what Phoebe wanted and then told her that she'd get the coffee if Phoebe got them a table. Phoebe found them a both by the window so that they could look out on the street if there was an awkward pause or something. She sat herself down and waited for Kimberly to arrive with their coffee, which didn't take long since there weren't that many people in line.

'Oh, you know what, this is my favorite place to be when I'm here in town' Kimberly stated. At this Phoebe looked a little disappointed 'Why is that?' Kimberly sneaked a look at Phoebe and her stomach went into overdrive with the butterflies flying everywhere. 'Well, we moved away from here a few years ago and the only times that I've been here since, this is one of the first place I go to when I'm here on business. You know this town is constantly busy and there is always something happening, in this place I can find some of the peace that I crave to function in the crazy life that I have, but since we're moving back here now and taking the agency with me I can go here when ever I want to and that is awesome.' At first, Phoebe was listening closely to what Kimberly was saying, but as she was talking Phoebe found it harder to focus on anything other than the way Kimberly's lips where moving as she talked and she found herself longing to kiss her so bad that she almost did it, instead she stated 'I've been dreaming about you for years!' Kimberly had been keeping her eyes on Phoebe the entire time she'd been talking and she saw when Phoebes eyes started to move from her eyes towards her lips and the chills down her spine when Phoebe stated that she'd been dreaming about her for years were thrilling. 'What?' 'Yeah, I've been having dreams about this woman for years and when I saw you at my grandparents three days ago, I recognized you instantly, I had no idea who you were though. Then the whole introduction happened and when we locked eyes I just knew I had to get to know you!' Kimberly was a little shocked, but happy that Phoebe had had the same reaction that she had had and she remembered Taylor's words from two 'I noticed the looks you and my daughter were giving each other at the dinner and I wanted to caution you that she doesn't have any experience, nor does she know where she's at emotionally since her and Rick broke up so if you feel for her the way I think you do, do not pursue her, let her take her time to realize what it is she wants and let it all unfold the way it should. I do believe that you'd make a great couple, but let her needs come before yours and let things take the time it needs! If she comes to the same conclusion that I have and your relationship develops into something very serious, we'd be happy to welcome you into the family and I believe that we will.' It seems as if Taylor was right on the money so she decided to take a chance. 'Will you go out on a date with me?' Phoebe was a little taken aback by this question, but as she saw the sincerity in Kimberly's eyes, she knew Kimberly was really asking her out because she wanted to take her out on a date and not because of anything else, so she replied with a 'Yes, I do wanna go out on a date with you'. Kimberly then noticed the time and told Phoebe that even though it had been nice to sit and talk to her, she needed to get back to the office and get some work done and that she would get back to Phoebe about choosing a date for the date and what to do on it!

As Phoebe was leaving the coffeehouse a few minutes after that, she had the biggest smile and felt like she needed to talk to someone. The first one she thought of was Steffy and as if some magical force was driving their lives, Steffy called just as she thought she wanted to talk to her. 'Guess what!' Phoebe said as she answered. 'What?' The brown haired mirror image of Phoebe asked. Phoebe giggled a little and then dropped the bomb. ' I have a date' And then Steffy shocked the living crap out of Phoebe when she asked 'Who is she? Do I know her?' Phoebe felt like she needed to sit down from the shock of her sister knowing her secret. ' What? How? When? What? How do you know about that?' Steffy laughed a little and then stated. 'Well, I've known for years now, ever since you had that crush on Lillie Jaks and I was a little surprised that you entered that relationship with Rick when I knew that it wouldn't lead anywhere and I was really happy when it ended. So, who is she? Do I know her?' Phoebe had always thought she hid it so well and was surprised to hear she hadn't. 'Well, you met her on Sunday and she came with Sally and Adam. Neither of us really know her yet though. Well, Rick and the rest of our family knew her once, years ago, but I think that the girl they knew, aren't the same woman that she is now. We where very young when she, Sally and Adam moved away, but their back now and she and I are going to see how things goes. We haven't set a date and time for the date yet, but I think it'll be soon. I can't wait!' Steffy laughed and said 'Oh, the browned haired woman who came with Sally? She's hot! I can't wait to see you two together in a few months. So who asked who?' 'She asked and it's gonna be so awesome, I'm so giddy right now!' Steffy gave a big smile into the phone and said she totally understood and that she expected details on how the date went!

Thomas had been working on a sketch for the last half hour and it just didn't turn out the way he wanted it, so when Abby walked in the door he was happy to have the distraction. 'Hi honey' Abby said.'How are you doing?' Thomas gave a huge sigh and said 'I'm good, this design isn't though.' 'Well, I can see that and based on that adorable sigh you just gave I'd guess you've been working on it for a while. Can I see?' Thomas gave a small smile as he remembered how well Abby knew him even though they had only known each other for 5 months. They had met before Taylor woke up and Thomas first introduced Abby to his mother about two weeks after she had woken up and to Taylor this meant that it was serious, her little boy was growing up real fast and that his happily ever after was coming real fast. They had started getting a little concerned though about their parents relationship these last few weeks and they could see the cracks starting to form, they didn't know why though, but felt it wasn't their place to force their parents to talk to them about it so they just watched it unfold, both of them knew though that it would not affect them at all. 'How about if you put some buttons down the front and then run the satin band down the sides of the jacket instead of using the bands as the closing part?' 'I've tried that already, it doesn't work.' 'Okey, so how about you put this design away for a few hours, come to lunch with me and spend some time with your girlfriend?' Thomas thought about this for a moment and came to the conclusion that he was indeed hungry and that he was craving pasta, so they went to their favorite restaurant and there they had an amazing lunch date and talked about everything between heaven and earth. At the end of lunch Thomas had an epiphany in regards to the design and Abby felt extremely happy that her little plan had worked. Thomas gave Abby a big passionate kiss and then he left to work out the kinks and linings on the design.

June 20th 2008

Rick had been roaming the halls of Forrester Creations just trying to get some sort of inspiration for something, he'd been feeling down ever since the talk he'd had with his father and he had come to the conclusion that maybe being in the fashion industry wasn't for him anymore, he had also been thinking about how he could get Kimberly to go out with him again and he had come to think that maybe he shouldn't ask her out, but rather just run into her somewhere and invite her to join him for lunch or dinner.

Kimberly on the other hand where planning her date with Phoebe and she had come to realize that a dinner and a movie weren't either of their styles and that going to the bowling alley was probably the best idea, it was a good place to go since there was food and activities, plus bowling was fun. Now all she had to do was call Phoebe to set a date for the date and they would be all set. As she waited for Phoebe to pick up the phone she didn't notice that she was doodling on a piece of paper and that it was starting to resemble Phoebe with a very high likeness to it. 'Hello! This is Phoebe!'

'Hi Phoebe!, It's Kimberly, I was wondering if next Friday would work out for you in regards to our date?' Phoebe thought for a second and then said 'Yes, that would be great! What are we doing?' At this Kimberly got a little mysterious and told her that was was for Kimberly to know and for Phoebe to find out. 'A tleast tell me what I should wear?' And Kimberly told her 'You could wear anything you like as long as it's not to fancy, casual is always best.' Phoebe agreed to this and as then were hanging up the phone, Kimberly looked down at the paper she'd been doodling on and thought to herself that it would be a perfect end of the first date gift to Phoebe.

The following week were full of funny events for Kimberly, but Thursdays lunch with Rick didn't turn out the way she'd hoped it would, it didn't on his part either, but somehow it'd made them both really uncomfortable. It had started out really casual, but then taken a turn for the worse when he asked if she'd go out with him seeing that they had had so much fun during lunch and as she gave him the same explanation that she did the first time and added the name of the girl she was interested in, it kind of clicked for Rick that a relationship with Kimberly was out of the question and he decided that he was going to wait for the perfect girl for him. Little did he know that just on the other side of the restaurant there was sitting a beautiful blond girl with the most gorgeous brown eyes he'd ever seen having a ball with her younger sister and some of their friends. He had been hearing her laugh off and on their entire lunch, but didn't think much of it, even though it was quite possibly the most amazing laugh he'd ever heard.

And there you have it. The first mention of Rick's dream girl! Next chapter will deal with Ridleys break up, Kimebe's first date and we do a time jump ending with two people meeting for the first time and someone asking someone else a really big question!
