Flipside (Super Paper Mario)
The four of them appeared on a pillar as they looked around. "Wait, what just happened?" Sora asked.
"Ah! You came at last." A voice said as they looked to see a wizard walking up to them. "Tippi, you are truly amazing. You found the exact heroes we are looking for."
"Well, they do fit the description of the Light Prognosticus perfectly." Tippi said.
"The Light what now?" Lightning asked.
"So...who are these young fellows anyways?"
"The guy with the mustache is Mario, the spiky haired kid is Sora and the girl is Lightning." Tippi replied.
"Welcome, you three! Welcome to the town of Flipside!" Merlon exclaimed.
"So...we're not in the Mushroom Kingdom?" Sora asked. "But in a different world?"
"Yes, but here's the best part. This town of Flipside is BETWEEN dimensions!"
All three of them blinked. "What?" Lightning asked.
"Between dimensions...? How is that even possible?" Mario wondered.
"Oh, don't let it bother you." He chuckled. "I am Merlon, a descendent of the ancient ones who made this town. I've been busy trying to stop the end of the worlds as we know it."
"End of the worlds, huh?" Sora asked. "Well, you called the right guy." He summoned his Ultima Keyblade. "I'm taking it there's Heartless?"
"Oh no, there's no Heartless in this world. There's something FAR more worse than that."
"Worse than the Heartless?" Mario asked.
"Hmm...so I take it Tippi didn't tell you." Merlon said. "I see..." He stroked his beard. "Well, to answer your question...look above you." He told them as they looked up to see some sort of tiny black hole.
"What the heck is that?" Sora wondered.
"That, my dear friend...is a hole in the very fabric of space. It's an interesting phenomenon. It may look all small now, but it will grow... and in the end...it will swallow all the worlds and dimensions." He looked at them. "The Mushroom Kingdom and your other worlds are in grave danger."
"Oh great...just what we needed..." Mario muttered.
"That void was created by Count Bleck...the man who holds the Dark Prognosticus." Merlon explained.
"A Fair and lovely princess, a furious monster king..." Tippi said. "The union of these two will call forth the Chaos Heart, the consumer of worlds." She recited from memory. "And the Chaos Heart will ravage the sky, and so bring forth the Void."
"That passage that Tippi just recited is from the Light Prognisticus from long ago. It also says this. 'The Void will swallow all...naught can stop it...unless the one protected by the dark power is destroyed. The heroes with the power of the Eight Pure Hearts will rise to this task.' At least, that's what it says." Merlon said and then suddenly summoned a Pure Heart.
"Whoa!" They all exclaimed.
"This, my dear friends, is just one of the many Pure Hearts. I am certain you are the ones spoken of in the Light Prognosticus. You are the ones who can defeat Count Bleck and save every world! Take this, and save everything from destruction." He ordered as he gave it to Sora.
"Hmm..." Sora looked at the Pure Heart. "Fascinating..." He said.
"Now, take this Pure Heart to the Heart Pillar and stick it on there. Tippi will lead you there...return to my place after you are done." He instructed as they nodded and took off.
One way to the Heart Pillar later...
"Here we are...the Heart Pillar." Tippi said. "Just place it on there." She said as Sora put it on there and then the whole thing lit up, blinding them and forcing them to shield their eyes as a door appeared on the pillar way above them, and then the glowing stopped. "Alright, now let's go see Merlon." She said as they nodded and then she guided back to the top of the tower.
"Now this is truly fascinating..." Merlon said. "This door will lead you to another world...to get another Pure Heart. Yes...one of the other seven lies behind this door." He looked at Tippi. "Tippi, you must use your power to aid Mario, Sora, and Lightning to find the Pure Heart and return here at once."
"Right." Tippi nodded.
"And...I have something for each of you that will help you on this journey." Merlon said as he tossed a red warp pipe to Mario. "Use this whenever you are in a pickle. However, be warned...it may not always work."
"Right." Mario nodded as Merlon looked at Sora's Ultima.
"Now, that Keyblade is truly fascinating indeed, but it is very worn. I think it is time for you to get a new Keyblade." He said, closing his eyes as a new Keyblade appeared in Sora's hand.
A Pure Heart for the Keychain, the handle was heart-shaped, the blade was like the Destiny's Embrace and the teeth were two Pure Hearts. "Hello!" Sora exclaimed.
"You like it? I call it the Pure Heart." Merlon said, as they just gave him a look. "What? It's a creative name for a Keyblade."
"Riiight..." Tippi said.
"And as for you, my dear..." Merlon gave a stone to Lightning.
"Uh..."
"Try it out. Just concentrate really hard."
Lightning nodded and closed her eyes, gripping it tightly and then someone appeared in front of her. "What the...?! How did I get here?!" A familiar voice exclaimed as Lightning looked to see Sazh right in front of her.
"Sazh?!" Lightning exclaimed. "B-but...h-how?! You were lost in the darkness along with everyone else in our world!"
"Don't look at me, I have no idea how I'm actually alive." Sazh said and then looked at Mario, Sora, Merlon and Tippi. "And who are these guys?"
Lightning looked at Merlon with a confused look on her face. "You like it? I call it the summon stone. You see, you are the lone survivor of your world that was lost in darkness. However, the strong love you have for your friends was never lost. You can summon your friends whenever you need them for battle or a tricky puzzle."
A tear ran down Lightning's cheek. "...Thank you..."
"Ah, it was nothing."
Sazh looked at Lightning. "So you can summon us however you like, huh? Alright, now I'm liking this." He said as he took out his guns. "If you need me, you know where I'll be."
"Right." Lightning nodded as he disappeared.
"Alright, now let's-a go!" Mario exclaimed as they nodded as they walked straight for the door.
"Now hold on a second." Merlon stopped them. "I need to tell you something else. There is a dimensional flip technique that I am almost certain that Mario can only learn. Look for a man named Bestovius and he will teach you that. Now go!" He ordered as they nodded and walked through the door with Tippi following them.
Meanwhile...
Count Bleck's Plan (Super Paper Mario)
"BLEH HEH HEH HEH HEH! BLECK!" Count Bleck laughed. "This is going all according to plan. The Void is beginning to destroy all the worlds! It's all thanks to the Dark Prognosticus. It's just a matter of time before all the worlds will meet their final hour."
"That's just awesome!" A big muscle man exclaimed. "You'll erase all of those bad worlds...and then you're gonna build a better one without war and all those other nasty things!"
"Ah yes...no one likes those nasty things..." A magician said. "It sounds magical." He chuckled. "Ahahaha...I can hardly stand it."
"SORRY I'M LATE!" A voice exclaimed as the same muscle man landed on a platform, and then turned to see himself. "What in blazes?! How did I beat myself here? What's going on?!"
"Mimimimimimi...O'Chunks...you silly guy. You probably overslept or something." The first said...and transformed into Count Bleck. "Then again, it's hard to keep track of time when you're all muscle and no brains..."
O'Chunks growled under his breath. "NOW WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA, MIMI?! THINK YOU CAN JUST WALTZ IN HERE AND DRESS LIKE ME AND THE COUNT?! SHOW SOME DARN RESPECT, YOU CAN'T JUST GO AROUND AND BORROW HIS FACE!"
"Bleh heh heh heh heh...why Mimi, you look quite dapper as myself." Count Bleck said.
Mimi then transformed into Kairi. "Oh thanks! With you, it's all just really happy! Hanging out with you is my idea of a perfect world."
"And here...I thought Mimi's idea of a dream world was gems and hot boys who are really strong and manly." Dimentio chuckled.
Mimi transformed into Bowser and then hopped down, grabbing Dimentio by the throat. "HAVE YOU BEEN READING MY DIARY?!" She roared.
"Ahahaha! So it IS true!" Dimentio chuckled. "Now please let me go...I prefer breathing rather than choking..."
"Bleh heh heh heh heh...oh well, I guess each minion has their own ideas. What are you gonna do about it?" Count Bleck chuckled. "With all those rotten worlds gone, you'll have your own ideal worlds. However, we need to follow the Dark Prognosticus in order to do so."
"Um...not to ruin the moment..." Nastasia said. "But I got something from your inbox...saying that a couple of heroes are currently gathering the Pure Hearts as we speak. The Heroes of prophecy."
Count Bleck's eyes widened. "Oh no, they're gonna go and ruin everything! Are you sure they're the Heroes of Prophecy?!"
"Yep..."
"Hmm...we have no choice but to stop this nuisance before they put a damper on things." He muttered.
"Hey!" O'Chunks got their attention. "So these Heroes of Prophecy are gatherin' the Pure Hearts? Let me take a crack at them! I'll whoop them so hard, they won't know what hit them!"
"Very well, I'll leave you to the task. Do not fail Count Bleck." Count Bleck told him.
"You can count on me! Mimi! Dimentio! You should tag along with me, you're about to witness a proper chunking!" He exclaimed as he took off.
"Ahahaha...yes, I can't wait to see that." Dimentio said as he teleported.
"Guys! Wait for me!" Mimi exclaimed as she took off as well.
