World 1-4: The Yold Ruins
Yold Ruins (Super Paper Mario)
"I can feel it...it's close." Tippi said.
"These are some interesting ruins." Lightning said as they walked around, looking at the many Buzzy Beetles walking around.
"This looks so cool..." Sora said. "But I have to wonder...why is there quicksand in here?"
"I dunno." Mario shrugged as they walked around while avoiding the Firebars.
"Wait a minute..." Tippi said. "I'm also sensing some powerful being here. I wonder what it is."
Sora glanced at a Buzzy Beetle. "Could it be a more powerful Buzzy Beetle?" He asked as they all just looked at him. "What?"
"I doubt they can get more powerful." Mario said as he stepped on a Buzzy Beetle and kicked it into another, knocking them both out.
"I could've just picked it up and thrown him...but that works too." Thoreu said as they came across a locked door.
"Well now what?" Lightning asked as she glanced at Sora. "You got a Keyblade."
"I'll try." Sora said as he summoned it and fired a beam of light at it, as the lock broke and the door opened. "Wait a minute...why didn't I do this in Hooktail's castle?! We could've just saved all of that time not looking for the keys!" He exclaimed.
"Idiot..." Lightning muttered under her breath as they walked in to see another door locked right next to it while there were tons of Buzzy Beetles walking around accompanied with fire bars. "Okay, we can either look for a key or use Key boy over here."
Sora blinked. "Key boy?"
"I have this feeling she's not gonna let you live that down." Mario said.
"No, I am not." Lightning chuckled as Sora fired a beam of light at the Keyhole and then they walked in through the door as a Buzzy Beetle curiously looked on before it closed.
In the next room, they noticed a spring as they hopped on it and went up higher as Mario and Sora helped up Lightning and then they went up the ladder. "Yo, I see a switch over there." Thoreau said, motioning over to it.
"Well...let's go hit it." Sora said as he walked over to it as Mario followed, but Lightning stopped him.
"Wait..." She said. "This is too easy."
"What makes you say that?" Mario asked.
"I feel as if there's a trap here." Lightning said, glaring at the wall. "Sora, you might want to come back here. I'm not trusting that wall."
"What's so bad about it? It's just a wall." Sora said as he was about to hit it, but Thoreau picked him up. "HEY! PUT ME DOWN!" He yelled.
"Come on; let's get you to safety before you get yourself killed." Thoreau said as he dropped Sora as Lightning took out her sword and aimed at the switch.
"Thunder." She said, using Thundaga on the switch, as a huge switch appeared near then...and then the wall opened up, unleashing a lot of Spiny Tromps. "I knew it." She said as Mario hit the switch, as the floor just opened and dropped every one of them down to the ground below.
"Well...thanks." Sora said as they hopped on down and getting to the door and then walked in to see four switches in numerical order, but they're switched around.
"I got this." Mario said as he hit the ones in order as a huge staircase appeared in front of them. "Whoa..."
"Dang, that's cool." Lightning said as they walked up the steps and then walked into a warp pipe, taking them out of the ruins and back outside.
Mount Lineland (Super Paper Mario)
They hopped out of the warp pipe. "I can sense the Pure Heart in that building." Tippi said as they nodded and walked in, but before they could...
"HALT!" A voice yelled as a dragon came out of the sand and looked at all of them. "You are trespassing! Leave before you are destroyed!"
"Oh you gotta be kidding me." Sora said as they got ready for battle.
"Wait a minute...hold on. Analyzing." The dragon scanned them all. "You three...are the heroes that I have been waiting for." He said. "You three are very late."
"How late...exactly?" Mario asked.
"1,500 years late." The dragon replied, as they all sweatdropped.
"Yeesh..." Sora blinked.
"Never mind about that. I am Fracktail...the guardian of the Pure Heart. I will allow you access. Now go." He ordered.
"Ahahahaha...I wouldn't be so sure about that." A voice said.
"Who speaks? Show yourself." Fracktail ordered as a certain magician appeared in front of them.
Dimentio, Charming Magician (Super Paper Mario)
"Who are you?" Lightning asked.
"Allow me to introduce myself...I am...the pleaser of all crowds! Dimentio!"
"Dimentio...that name rings a bell..." Tippi said.
"This is as far as you go." Dimentio said. "For you see...it'd be quite boring if you just waltzed right into that building without a fight." He said, and then snapped his fingers as Fracktail short circuited. "And now...I will leave this big boy to it. Ciao!" He waved before disappearing.
"You're kidding me, right...?" Sora asked.
"ERROR! ERROR!" Fracktail suddenly exclaimed. "SUBJECTS ARE NOW A THREAT TO THE PURE HEART AND MUST NOW BE DESTROYED!"
"Uh oh." Mario said.
"Attempting to reload the error!" Fracktail exclaimed. "Can't seem to fix the problem...way to go genius." He muttered. "SUBJECTS ARE STILL A THREAT! DESTROY!"
"Crap..." Sora said.
"Well this is going to be interesting." Mario said.
The Encounter (Kingdom Hearts II)
Fracktail burst out of the sand and flew around, and then trying to ram them but they quickly dodged as Fracktail then flew above them. "Wait a minute, how come he isn't breathing fire?" Sora asked.
"Don't look at me. I dunno." Lightning said.
"Guys, he's coming this way!" Mario exclaimed as Fracktail was coming back.
"Quick! Jump on to him!" Tippi exclaimed as they jumped onto Fracktail's back before he flew off again. "The antenna's the weakspot!" She told them as Frackles appeared on the back.
"Guys?" Lightning got their attention. "We got company."
"I'll deal with them!" Thoreau exclaimed as he grabbed the Frackles and threw them to the antenna as Lightning used Thundaga and Sora used Strike Raid as Fracktail roared in pain and then did a flip, causing them all to slide.
"Jump!" Mario exclaimed as they jumped off the tail...however Sora jumped a bit too early as he accidentally fell.
"WHOOOOOA!" Sora exclaimed.
"Sora!" Lightning exclaimed.
"He'll be fine...the sand will cushion the blow..." Tippi reassured. "I hope."
Lightning and Mario continued to attack the antenna while Thoreau threw another Frackle, causing Fracktail to do the same loop but they jumped at the right moment and then Lightning slashed RIGHT through the antenna and landed near Mario. "SYSTEM ERROR!" Fracktail yelled.
Fracktail was back to normal. "Agh...forgive me of my foolishness. I did not know what I was thinking... heroes...gather the Pure Hearts...and save...this...world..." He said before he exploded.
Mount Lineland
"Agh..." Sora got up, shaking the sand off of him as Mario and Lightning landed near him.
"You okay?" Mario asked.
"Nothing but sand in my hair...but other than that, I'm fine." Sora replied.
"Alright, let's go." Tippi said as they walked into the building.
Soft Light (Super Paper Mario)
"You came." A voice said.
"Who's there?" Sora asked.
A spirit appeared in front of them. "I am Merlumina...I have been waiting for 1,500 years to give you this Pure Heart."
"Oh..." Mario said.
"Yes." She nodded. "But...before I give you this Pure Heart...I will tell you about my history." She said. "You see...a long time ago..."
A few hours later...
"And that's my tale..." She said and then glanced at them, who were all fast asleep. "Huh? Hey, were you asleep this whole time?"
They immediately woke up. "No...we just got comfortable." Lightning lied.
"Oh...okay then." Merlumina nodded. "Here is the Pure Heart." She said, giving them the Pure Heart. "Farewell...heroes." She said as she disappeared as Mario took the Pure Heart.
"Alright...let's find the next one." Mario said as they nodded and walked out.
Meanwhile...
In the Darkness (Super Paper Mario)
"Mmm...ugh..." Kairi woke up and looked around. "Where am I?" She wondered and then spotted Peach. "Peach!"
"Ugh..." Peach got up, rubbing her head. "Kairi?"
"Hey." Kairi smiled and then looked around. "What happened? How did we get here?"
"That wedding was a set up!" A voice exclaimed as they looked to see a Hammer Bro and a Koopa walking up to them.
"Oh! Hammer Bro! Koopa!" Peach exclaimed. "What do you mean by a set up?"
"That wedding was nothing but a fake." Hammer Bro said. "That Count Bleck guy used you and his Nastiness to just make a Chaos Heart and destroy every world in existence."
"So my world and the Mushroom Kingdom are in danger?" Kairi asked.
"Yep." Koopa nodded. "What's worse is that most of our men are brainwashed. If we don't get out of here soon, we could be next."
"He's right, we need to get out of here." Hammer Bro said. "Koopa, you go alone and get these girls out of here."
"What about you?"
"Me?" Hammer Bro smirked. "I got more men to find." He said and then ran off.
"Good luck, Hammer Bro." Peach said, watching him run off.
"Come on now, let's move it! We got no time to waste!" Koopa exclaimed as they nodded and took off.
As they kept running, they heard something as they peeked around a corner. "What is the meaning of this?!" Hammer Bro exclaimed.
"Come join us." A Boomerang Bro said.
"Count Bleck is awesome. Join us." Fire Bro said.
"BOOMERANG! FIRE! SNAP OUT OF IT!" Hammer Bro yelled. "So help me, I will knock you BOTH out!" He exclaimed, but then he started screaming in pain before his eyes turned red. "Hail Count Bleck!"
"Oh no, Ha-" Kairi put her hand over Peach's mouth.
"Alright...I need to find more stragglers." Nastasia said. "Go find them." She ordered.
"YES MA'AM!" They yelled and took off together.
"Ah crap! They got Hammer Bro!" Koopa exclaimed. "This is bad! We need to get out of here now!"
"B-but...Hammer Bro!" Peach exclaimed.
"It's too late for him now. Let's get the crap out of here." Kairi said as they ran off, but they eventually reached a dead end.
"Oh no! We need to turn around now before it's too la-" Koopa screamed in pain before his eyes turned red.
"KOOPA!" Peach yelled.
"There you two are." Nastasia said. "Now...come join us. Count Bleck is a good leader."
"Like heck we are!" Kairi exclaimed, summoning her Keyblade and getting in front of Peach. "There's no way you'll get US to do your dirty work!"
"I guess I'll have to force you." Nastasia said. "Very well then." She said, reaching for her glasses...but suddenly Kairi and Peach were developed in light and they disappeared. "HEY! WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA?!" She yelled.
She calmed down. "Never mind...we don't need them." She said. "We got more things to worry about." She said and then walked away.
