World 2-4: Spider Mimi?!

Merlee's Mansion (Super Paper Mario)

"Oh good, the basement..." Kairi said. "Not..."

"What's wrong?" Peach asked as they were walking down the stairs.

"I'm not a huge fan of basements." Kairi muttered. "Probably because of that one time when I used to live with my grandmother in Radiant Garden, I went to the basement to go get something...and then a Shadow Heartless shows up and scares the heck out of me. It was then that the world was being overtaken by the Heartless and it was then destroyed."

"Yeesh..." Sora sweatdropped. "So that's why you're not a fan of basements?"

"It's creepy, it's dark...and the fact that there may be Heartless down there and I'll be totally unprepared." Kairi said. "I was a little girl at the time."

"Luigi would be having a heart attack if that happened to him...but with ghosts instead." Mario said as they walked through the door.

"The Pure Heart is really close." Tippi said.

"That's all we needed to know." Lightning nodded. "Surely, it can't be that bad, right?"

One headache of a maze later...

"You HAD to ask..." Sora muttered.

"Sorry..." Lightning sweatdropped as they walked through a door.

"Oh good, a new scenery!" Kairi exclaimed. "It's better than dealing with a damp basement." She muttered as they made their way to the top of the room with the help of Mario using his 2D flipping power, much to Slim's confusion.

"Oh yay! You found me!" A voice exclaimed as they saw Merlee walking up to them...or IS it? "I am happy that you are here! You want the Pure Heart, yes?"

"Yeah." Sora nodded.

"Well you can have it...for ten million rubees."

"WHAT?!" They yelled as Lightning immediately looked at Merlee suspiciously.

"Yes...you heard me. Just sign on the dotted line and you'll have it."

"No way." Lightning said. "We're not doing it." She said, folding her arms.

"Uh...you COULD work it off, ya know!"

"Nope."

"Okay, how about this? A brand new Keyblade for the Keyblade Wielder! I call it Merlee's Fortune!"

Sora thought about it and was about to say 'yes', if it weren't for Lightning saying "No."

"Oh come on, that Keyblade sounds interesting!"

Oh you idiot... Kairi thought before shaking her head and trying to hide a smile. "Sora, it DOES sound interesting but I don't think Merlee could do something like that. Merlon could...but I don't see her doing it anytime soon."

"ARGH! Fine! How about a brand new diamond ring?"

"A diamond ring?" Peach asked. "What color?"

"Purple."

"Ew!" Peach exclaimed. "No thank you! Pink is where it's at!"

Lightning blinked in surprise. I didn't realize she loved pink with a passion. Good to know. She thought.

Merlee growled. "One last chance...how about...for the Pure Heart...you can have all the pasta you want?"

Mario's eyes widened. "Oh no..." Sora said.

"Uh...NO! A THOUSAND TIMES NO ON THE PASTA!" Peach yelled very quickly right before Mario went into a frenzy about all the pasta and snapping Mario out of it.

Good job! A voice thought as they saw an image of the real Merlee. That Merlee is a fake!

Mimi the Copycat (Super Paper Mario)

"Merlee" transformed, revealing to be Mimi herself. "Man, you are so annoyingly good, it's irritating!"

"You can't fool us." Lightning said.

"Alright fine...you want to be annoying?" Mimi asked. "THEN LET'S GET ANNOYING!" She screamed as she stood back and...started twisting her head until they heard the bones snapping as her head starting spinning until it was upside down, sprouting spider legs. You know...for kids!

Kairi and Peach just looked on in horror...before passing out as Sora and Mario had to catch them. "MIMIMIMI!" The spider creature exclaimed in a demented voice.

"EW!" Tippi yelled.

"That's morbid..." Lightning said.

Quick! You must get out of there! Come to my hiding place! Merlee requested as they nodded.

"MIMIMIMI! YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!"

Rowdy Rumble (Kingdom Hearts II)

They quickly bolted from the crazy spider as they quickly made their way around another maze until they spotted a Cursya. "What's that?" Mario asked.

"That's a Cursya. If you touch it, it'll give you a status ailment for a while. This one makes you slow." She explained and then saw Mimi going after them.

Sora put Kairi on the ground, and then used Eruption on the Cursya, sending it flying straight to Mimi as it hit her. "OOOF!" Mimi yelled, unaware that she was slowed down as Sora picked Kairi up and then took off again as they eventually came across two restrooms.

"I think Merlee is in there." Lightning said, pointing to the girl's restroom.

"No way, I'm not going in there!" Sora protested.

"Well would you like to get mauled by a morbid girl that turned into a spider?"

"Uh...good point."

"We don't have time to hesitate! We need to move!" Mario exclaimed as he was pushing Sora in the restroom as Lightning closed the doors behind her.

Merlee's Mansion

"Ugh..." Kairi was coming around as she and Peach woke up on the ground as the trio were discussing about what to do with Mimi, even the Pixls were wondering about it as well. "Where are we...?"

"In the girl's bathroom." Thoreau said. "Safe from that weirdo."

"Oh." Peach nodded. "I just hope we don't have to come across her again."

"Me too...but I doubt we've seen the last of her." Kairi sighed.

"Is that you, friends?" A voice asked as they looked at one of the stalls as Lightning walked over and opened the door, as Merlee emerged from the toilet. "Hello..." She said, not even bothering with a fly near her.

"Why were you hiding in there?" Sora asked.

"When you're life is in danger by one of Count Bleck's minions...you have to find some sort of hiding spot...even if it means the most disgusting places..."

"Good point..." Mario muttered.

"But other than that, now that you've found me...we can finally put an end to Mimi's reign of terror!"

"MIMIMIMI, THAT'S WHAT YOU THINK." A voice exclaimed as their eyes widened in horror to see Mimi crawling to them and then changing into Merlee after walking above her.

Laughter and Merriment (Kingdom Hearts II)

"Hey! You're copying my look!"

"I'm the original here! You're the faker!"

"Who are you calling a faker? At least I'm beautiful!"

"Beautiful? Ha! With THAT outfit? You're nothing but a hag!"

"Care to repeat that?"

"You. Are. A. Hag."

"Alright, you asked for it, you snob queen!" Merlee tackled...Merlee to the ground...and cue a fighting dust cloud!

"A cat fight between Merlee and her clone...i'm not sure how I feel about this..." Sora said.

"It'd be much better if it were two different people." Mario said as Sora nodded in agreement.

Kairi rolled her eyes. "Oh you guys..." She held back a chuckle.

Eventually, they were tired out and they looked at them. "Alright...which one of you thinks one of us is real?" One of them asked.

Lightning thought about it. "I have an idea. I'll quiz you...only five questions."

"Sounds fair." One of them nodded. "What do you got for us?"

"Where did that come from?" Sora asked.

"Just trust me on this." Lightning replied. "Alright, first question. What is your favorite anime?"

"Oh! That's an easy one! It's Fairy Tail!"

"Boku no Pico. That's a good anime."

Lightning raised an eyebrow at that one. "Okaaaay...question two. Where was Mario born?"

"Why, he was born in Italy of course! He moved to Brooklyn when he got older with his brother Luigi...and then they discovered the Mushroom Kingdom from a magical warp pipe they found!"

"The Mushroom Kingdom. Everyone is born there."

"Third question. Did Sora become Master after completing the Mark of Mastery?" She asked, as Sora looked down in disappointment.

"Even though he and his friend passed, it was Riku who became the Keyblade Master after saving him from sleep."

"Of course he became Master! He has tons of Keyblades, doesn't he?"

"Fourth question: Who is Sora's Nobody?"

"Roxas."

"Um...I...uh...I think his name was...Steven?"

This should determine things. She thought. "Where did Mario and Sora first meet me?"

"Glitzville. I was there for every fight."

"In a bar."

Lightning chuckled and unsheathed her blade. "Thundaga." She said, using it on the second Merlee as she screamed in pain before falling to the ground, revealing to be Mimi herself.

"Gah!" Mimi exclaimed while coughing out smoke. "Those were easy questions! How did I lose so easily?!"

"It's simple. When you said 'Boku no Pico', I knew that you were the fake, but I kept going with the other questions just to make you a fool of yourself." Lightning smirked.

Mimi growled. "Well played...but YOU WON'T MAKE A MOCKERY OUT OF ME ANY LONGER!" She yelled as she started transforming into that spider form of hers, complete with neck snapping and head spinning. Merlee sweatdropped and ran outside.

"I'll be out here cheering you on for support!" She exclaimed.

"MIMIMIMIMI! WE'LL SEE WHO'S THE SMARTEST NOW!"

I'm Not Nice (Super Paper Mario)

Mimi started off the battle by tossing rubees everywhere but Sora picked one up and threw it to her, shattering the invincibility shield but Mimi was oblivious to this. "MIMIMIMI! NICE TRY!" She cackled...however her cockiness was short lived when Mario stepped on her. "OW! Wait, WHAT?! I'M INVINCIBLE IN THIS FORM! HOW CAN THIS BE?!"

"I may or may not have done something about it!" Merlee called out from outside and then Kairi used Strike Raid to seal the deal...and one of the legs just fell off.

"Grr...you'll pay for that!" She growled. "RUBEE TIDAL WAVE!" She yelled as they saw tons of rubees coming right for them.

"Get behind me!" Peach ordered as she took out her parasol and put it in front of her, holding it like some sort of battering ram while they got behind her, and a lot of rubees bounced off of the parasol, some of them hitting Mimi and taking off some legs in the process.

"OW OW OW! YOUR PARASOL SUCKS!"

"I prefer the term 'overpowered'." Peach giggled as she jumped up and slapped Mimi on the cheek while Lightning used Firaga to take out two more legs. Only one remained.

"GAH! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!"

"Oh it's happening!" Sora smirked as he used Strike Raid on Mimi to deal the final blow, causing Mimi to fall and turn back to normal.

Merlee's Mansion

"This...just isn't my day..." Mimi muttered.

"Face it, Mimi. You've lost." Sora said.

"Mark my words...i'll be back." Mimi said as she teleported away.

"Bravo! You defeated the beast!" Merlee exclaimed as she walked in. "Now...where is that Pure Heart?" She wondered and looked at Sora. "Oh, before I forget. I have something for you." She said as a new Keyblade appeared in Sora's hand. A rubee for the keychain, Oathkeeper-like handle, the blade was like the Kingdom Keys, except it was colored like Merlee and two more Rubees for the teeth.

"Oh, what's it called?" Sora asked.

"Mimi said it." Merlee said. "I wanted to surprise you, but she spoiled the name for me. So it's Merlee's Fortune."

"Ah." Sora nodded as the Pure Heart appeared near Merlee.

"And I believe THIS belongs to you." She smiled as it floated to Mario's hands.

"Thanks." Mario smiled.

Meanwhile...

Count Bleck's Plan (Super Paper Mario)

"I just got a memo from Mimi, saying that she screwed up bad and is calling Keyblades a cheating device." Nastasia said.

"A cheating device, you say?" Count Bleck asked. "Hmm...these Keyblade Wielders are something else..." He said.

"Yeah." She nodded. "We need someone else to deal with them...while I deal with a few more stragglers."

"I see..." Bleck put his hand on his chin in thought.

"I'LL DO IT!" A voice yelled as O'Chunks landed on a pillar. "I'll teach 'em not to mess with poor ol' Mimi!"

"I love your enthusiasm and all...but have you finished your report about your utter failure?" Nastasia asked.

"Report? Bah, you gotta give me a break, lass! A thousand pages is just too much!"

"I know just the person." Bleck said. "Dimentio!" He called out as Dimentio appeared before him.

"Yes?"

"I need you to deal with those pesky do-gooders."

"Ah, say no more. I will do what I must. Ciao!" He teleported away.

"And now, I'll be dealing with the stragglers." Nastasia said and then disappeared.

"Those no good heroes..." Bleck muttered. "They have no right to destroy my plans..." He said. "They have no idea what I've been through..." He said as he disappeared. "Love is nothing but a mere fantasy..."

Meanwhile...

In the Darkness (Super Paper Mario)

"Ugh...mama mia..." Luigi groaned as he woke up, seeing Riku stirring as well.

"Well..." Riku muttered as he got up. "That went well..."

"I remember we were trying to save Peach." Luigi said.

"Hey hey! You're alive!" A voice exclaimed as they spotted two Goombas walking up to them. "We thought you were dead!"

"It'll take more than that to take us down." Riku said.

"Say uh...listen...we need to get out of here." A Goomba said.

"Get out of here? With tons of guards? NUH-UH!" Luigi protested.

"What a shame...because we heard all about your efforts into saving a princess named Éclair." The other said. "Super Luigi, that's what everyone is saying."

"Uh, what about me?" Riku asked. "I helped Luigi to save Éclair."

"I'm sorry...who are you?" The first Goomba asked. "You're not important unlike Luigi. He has tons of fangirls unlike a nobody like you."

Ouch. Riku thought.

"Oh, I'm honored." Luigi said as he hopped up. "Come on, we gotta get out of here! My fans are depending on me!" He exclaimed.

Something's fishy... Riku thought as he glanced at the Goombas, who were busy snickering at each other.

They started walking, while the Goombas were praising Luigi as he was only chuckling and blushing in embarrassment while Riku was still wondering how come they never heard of him since he saved Éclair as well.

But eventually, they came across a dead end. "Ah great, a dead end." Luigi said.

"Oh well, I guess we'll have to take a different route before we're spo-" He suddenly yelled in pain. "HAIL BLECK!" He yelled as the trio's eyes widened as they saw Nastasia and a few others behind her as well.

"Oh no!" Luigi exclaimed as Riku summoned his Keyblade.

"Not Gary! Anyone but him!" Goomba exclaimed. "That's it...they're going to pay for that." He said as he let out a war cry and ran straight to Nastasia and the others.

"Goomba, I don't think that's a good idea!" Riku exclaimed.

"He's brave, I'm sure he can handle it." Luigi said.

Goomba stopped running. "Hey, mind if I join you? Count Bleck sounds like an awesome guy." He said as Luigi anime fell and Riku just facepalmed. "Hail Count Bleck!"

"That's good." Nastasia said and looked at the guys. "Sieze them." She ordered as they nodded as they took Riku first.

"Get off of me!" Riku exclaimed, but Boomerang Bro and Fire Bro held his arms back.

"Now, hold still." Nastasia said, reaching for her glasses.

"NO!" Luigi yelled as he got in front of Riku and taking the hit of the hypnotizing spell.

"LUIGI!" Riku yelled.

"Well, not what I had in mind...but oh well." Nastasia said, watching Luigi's clothes change and a mask appeared in front of his eyes.

"Luigi?" Riku looked at him.

"...That's not my name..." He said as he looked at Riku. "It's Mr. L to you."

Riku growled under his breath. "You rotten..."

"All the insults will not save him." Nastasia said as she readied her glasses. "Now...time for you to join our ranks." She said, but suddenly something surrounded Riku and teleported him away. "WHAT?!" She yelled. "HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN AGAIN?!"

"Never mind about the silver haired boy." Mr. L said. "He'll be taken care of soon enough."

Nastasia growled under her breath. "Fine..." She said before walking away.
