A/N, so here is the next chapter, this chapter will have him getting his revenge on an old rival. This tournament should only last about one maybe two other chapters. It will not be the only one I have planned. As far as fairy typing goes Ash is not familiar with it yet, so I will be revealing that soon enough. I also have plans for mega stones should he receive any of those.

Chapter 7

Serena walked into Ash's room expecting to have to wake him up. She found his room empty with a note on his bed.

'Serena,(I'm guessing your coming in not the other two)
I've gone out to train my Pokémon and get my next opponent, if you want to find me ask Pikachu.'

As if on cue Pikachu ran up to Serena from where he was lying down on Ash's bed and onto her shoulder.

"Pika"

Serena smiled down at him lets go see Ash.

Line break

She led the other two following Pikachu, Tierno and Trevor had both required a lot of effort to get up. Eventually Pikachu had run out of patience and had shocked them both.

They rounded a corner and Pikachu sped up. There in front of them was Ash with nine Pokémon out. Pidgeot and Fletchinder were flying around above the other Pokémon. Froakie and a Weasel like Pokémon were sparring. Ralts was firing attack after attack straight at a flying butterfly that was deflecting them with psychic. Primape was sparring with a Heracross. Only one Pokémon was not doing anything, Sceptile who had just moved from sparring with Ash suddenly shot towards the approaching group.

Pikachu jumped into the air and unleashed an iron tail that was met by Sceptile's Leaf blade.

Ash turned to them and the two disengaged and ran over to Ash. Ash then gestured for his three companions to come over to him.

After a moment of silence as they watched all of Ash's Pokémon training Serena asked Ash a question, "Ash, who are you battling today?"

"I'm sure Trevor will know him, he defeated me in the silver conference. He was one of the last people to defeat Charizard in a battle."

Trevor thought for a second, "Harrison?" he asked.

Ash nodded, "I'm looking forward to it."

Line break

Ash walked across the field and met Harrison in the middle, "you were really impressive in the first round Ash, but I'm not going to let you past me."

Ash gave him a smile, "I have some Pokémon who have wanted to battle you again for a long time, I hope you can live up to their expectations."

With that they returned to their boxes.

"This is a three on three battle between Ash Ketchum of Pallet town and Harrison of Littleroot town." The referee looked at the two trainers who nodded assent. He swung down the two flags, "Red corner release your Pokémon first."

"Come on out Bayleef." Ash commanded.

"Weavile lets go."

"Weavile use ice shard."

"Bayleef block them with Vine whip."

The ice shards shot forward only to be shattered by the two vine whips.

"Weavile quick attack."

"Bayleef catch it." Bayleef tried to catch Weavile but it was too fast and hit Bayleef sending her flying back.

"Bayleef steady yourself." The grass Pokémon landed and dug in her feet. "Now use Vine whip once again."

"Quick attack again Weavile." Harrison said shaking his head.

"Bayleef meet it with headbutt." Bayleef rammed forwards slamming into Weavile who had gotten too close to dodge. "Now follow up with body slam."

The leaf Pokémon smashed down on Weavile knocking it out.

"Return Bayleef, you've done great" Ash said surprising everyone. He now had to show his Pokémon first not Harrison.

"Snorlax you're up."

"Come on out Blaziken." Harrison commanded.

Ash was temporarily surprised, he had not thought that Harrison would use his ace so early.

"Blaziken use close combat."

"Snorlax meet it with mega punch."

The flame Pokémon shot forward and unleashed a flurry of hits on Snorlax only to be thrown backwards by a single hit.

"Now use body slam."

"Blaziken dodge."

At the last second Blaziken used dig to hide underground. Ash smiled, "Now use earthquake."

Harrison winced, no Pokémon could withstand that and indeed Blaziken rose up to ground level only to faint.

"Houndoom come on out."

Snorlax started glaring at the Pokémon as soon as it was revealed.

"Ash." Harrison called from across the field, "I was only able to find one of these for this Pokémon not Blaziken unfortunately." He raised up a stone of some kind and it reacted with Houndoom who was standing on the field. Houndoom started to glow and when the light disappeared a mega Houndoom stood there.

Ash didn't falter. Snorlax was one of his most powerful Pokémon, it would be a good time to see how mega stones affected Pokémon.

"Houndoom use flamethrower."

"Snorlax protect."

A huge blast of fire shot across the field and slammed into Snorlax's shield. Ash raised an eyebrow, this was seriously impressive.

"Snorlax use earthquake."

"Houndoom don't let him, use flame charge."

Snorlax created an earthquake and a second later Houndoom smashed into him. Snorlax was sent flying back. Even as Snorlax landed Ash could see the earthquake had made an impact on the Houndoom who winced.

"Use earthquake again."

"Houndoom flare blitz."

This time Houndoom was encased in a blue flame. When he hit Snorlax he was blocked by something.

"Now Snorlax use headbutt."

Houndoom was sent flying back towards Harrison. Who was gaping at how Snorlax was still standing there.

"He used protect Harrison," Ash yelled at the confused trainer.

"Now Snorlax finish this with body slam."

Snorlax jumped up in the air and landed on the already immobile Pokémon.

When he got back up Houndoom was knocked up and reverting to its normal form.

Ash walked out of his box and over to Snorlax. "You were great buddy." He said as Snorlax engulfed him in a hug.

He walked over to Harrison, "That was a great battle,"

Harrison shook his head and recalled Houndoom, "I don't know how you did it Ash but well done, You have earned your place in the semi-finals."

"Thanks Harrison, we will need to battle again soon." Harrison gave a Ash a friendly nod and walked off the field.

"What a great battle folks," the commentator announced. "but will Ash Ketchum be able to give a challenge to his next opponent. In one semi-final we have the Kanto Champion, Lance facing off against Steven the champion of Hoenn. Ash will have to face off against Cynthia the champion of Sinnoh and her undefeated mega Pokémon.

I personally thought that this chapter went better than the last one. I am going to be explaining how mega stones will work in this story very soon so if you have any queries you can ask but, it won't be long until it is explained anyway.
