Hey everyone. I've been trying to hang on to Jarida. Because of Jackunzel. Not that I like it, it just makes me sad that there are so little Jarida shippers out there because of that couple. That's why I haven't been really been updating. But now I'm back. There will DEFINETLY be a sequel to this story.

Speaking of which, our little 'Punzie makes her first appearance!

(c)Rise of the Guardians and Brave does not belong to me. They belong to Dreamworks and Pixar. I, however, own the story and plotline ^^(c)

Sonyia: You rhymed on purpose, did you?

...Maybe...

"Why would Pitch want to hurt her? Does he even know her?" Jack asked, anger slowly lacing his voice. Merida slowly sat up and cringed, mentally regretting that last action.

"I-I saw th' arrow fly in Jack's direction. It wasn't aimed towards me."

"Maybe zis new plan for Pitch. And Jack's part of it."

Merida diverted her magenta eyes to North. There was something about that name that sounded oddly…familiar. But her thoughts were shaken away as another wave of pain darted through her bloodstained wings. She lets out a gasp and a cry of pain.

Bunnymund tried to hide his worried demeanor, but failed. "North, what do we do, mate?"

North rubbed his snow white beard and a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "We can take her to Mother Nature's daughter. She can heal almost anything known to man. We can go by taking the sleigh."

As the carried her to the sleigh, they noticed more of her feathers began to fall off.

"We have to hurry!" The frost spirit shrieks. Merida didn't understand. She had only known this guy for about a week. He was cocky, annoying, and sometimes called her "Merri". A nickname she hadn't heard in a long time. But that's not what bothered her. What bothered her was that the fact that she was feeling scorching pain worse than her flaming arrows, but since Jack cared for her so much, it made her heart race and that pain vanish for just a second.

If Merida wasn't injured, she would have TOTALLY enjoyed that sleigh ride. As she was in the sleigh, Merida was panting. The pain was getting worse and worse. Jack's grip was tightening in a comforting way each time she let out sound of pain.

'Why?' Merida thought to herself. 'Why is he doing this? We've only known each other for about a week. Does he…"

Merida sighs and looks up at the winter spirit. "J-Jack?" she asks, trying to keep the pain out of her Scottish accent. Jack turns to look down at her, his ice blue eyes focusing on her rose ones. "W-Why do you all care for me? I-I mean, I appreciate it and all, but…why?"

Jack grins. "Because, if something were to happen to you, we wouldn't be able to bond, right? We are friends after all. Everyone thinks so."

Merida was shocked, then smiled. "Thank you, Jack…" she sighs, but this time with happiness, completely forgetting the pain in her wings. She gently rests her red bush onto Jack's shoulder and smiled. For the first time in 300 years, she had made friends.

The first thing everyone noticed about their surroundings.

Grass. Like everything was nothing but an endless sea of a grassy meadow. And flowers of all kinds, even magic flowers. Bunnymund turned his head to the left and noticed a large tree with a girl underneath it.

"'Scuse me shelia. Do you know where Mother Nature is?"

The girl looks up, and walks from under her favorite tree to the group. Everyone begins to take in her appearance.

Long, and I mean LONG glowing blonde hair and large green eyes that matched the meadow. She wore a bright purple corset dress and was barefoot. With every step she took, small buttercups and dandelions formed around her ankle. The girl waves and smiles with a cheerful aura.

"Oh, hi there! My name is Rapunzel, Mother Nature's daughter. She's not here right now. What kind of flower do you need today?"

"Actually child, we need no flower today. You have ability to heal anything known to man, no?"

Rapunzel tilts her head. "Y-Yes. But why do you-" That's when she noticed Jack holding Merida, who was pale and about half her feathers missing, with a few in the grass. She gasped, rushing over to the polar opposite guardians. "What happened to your wing?"

Merida groans, and chuckles. "I-I got hit by another guardian's arrow. They say this "Pitch" lad did this…"

The flower child gives a small smile. "Yep. I can heal her. You don't mind giving her up for a second, do ya?" She winks. Jack hesitantly, but slowly placed her on the grassy terrain, and Rapunzel kneels down on Merida's left. She takes a small, but thick portion of her hair and wraps it around most of the injured part of the wing. She closes her forest green eyes and prepares to sing the song that she enjoys singing the most. The song that can heal someone, or even save their life.

Flowers gleam and glow

Let your power shine

Make the clock reverse

Bring back what once was mine…

Tooth smiles at her voice, Bunnymund was in a trance from her magic glowing hair, the song was more or less a lullaby for Sandy, and North simply smiles. Jack stared as Merida's face slowly changed from pain to serene (That rhymes!) in her rosy pink eyes.

Heal what has been hurt

Change the fate's design

Save what has been lost

Bring back what once was mine…

What once was mine…

Tooth silently claps her hand as Rapunzel unwrapped her hair from the wing. All the feathers have been restored and the blood had dried up. "Can you fly like you used to?"

"I can try." Merida simply says. She stumbles up, with Jack's aid, and spreads her wings. The wind in the meadow felt good in her wings. She lets out an airy laugh and takes off flying around the endless meadow and laughs with that Scottish accent everyone had come to love…

…Especially Jack.

The winter guardian was surprised by this girl.

She was strong and brave. Something like that could have killed her, and yet, she hung on to her life.

This girl, was truly amazing…

The other guardians went back to the workshop while Jack and Merida went back to Burgess Park. They sat in a large tree, the same tree that Merida likes to hangout. They were talking about things like family and their abilities. Merida had to admit, he was still quite annoying, but she just needed to get to know him. She knew she just met the snow guardian, but there was a nagging feeling at the back of her head that she felt something, a feeling that she had never quite felt for anyone boy outside her family.

Jack lets out a bubbly laugh. "You have younger brothers?"

A grin crosses Merida's small pink lips. "Aye. 8 years apart. Ye should meet them sometime. I'm sure you'll get along real well."

Jack looks to the moon, and back to Merida. "So..what's your favorite color?"

Merida snickers. "Ah, th' old fashion question. Well obviously red, but th' color that takes my interest is…blue."

Jack looks at her. "Really? Mine too. Why's that?"

She looks to the moon, her rose eyes full of thought and wonder. "While red reminds me of my passion and destiny, blue reminds me of my freedom. It's the color of the open sky, the endless seas…"

'And it's the color of your eyes…'

Merida's round face was flushed at that thought. But she shook it away. "Jack…Thank you far savin' me. I've never really got a chance to say that about anyone outside my family… You all are really good friends…" They both hear talking below and see two people. A male with jet black hair, holding an acrostic guitar and a white rose. A women with long brown hair was walking towards the park bench where the man was sitting. The redheaded matchmaker looks to the frozen teen. "Want to see how my job is done?"

Jack grins. "Sure."

Merida takes a glowing magenta arrow that was the same color of her eyes, and aims it for the guy's heart. The guy calls the girl over.

"Now watch as their love grows…"

"Ch-Chelsea. There's been something I've wanted to tell you for a while now. Maybe you should hear from a song. " He starts to play his guitar, the familiar tune picking up on everyone.

"I don't want another pretty face
I don't want just anyone to hold
I don't want my love to go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul"

Jack laughs. "I know this song. Jamie's older cousin was listening to this song the other day."

Merida gives him a confused look. "Jamie?"

"A human boy that I've known for about a year now. You can meet him tomorrow if ya want."

"Sounds like a plan."

"I know that you are something special
To you I'd be always faithful
I want to be what you always needed
Then I hope you'll see the heart in me…"

Jack looks to Merida and gets an idea. "Wanna dance, princess?" He bows in a playful manner. Merida raises a red eyebrow then catches on and snickers. "Why, I'd be delighted, ." He takes her hand and they start dancing in their own way.

"I don't want another pretty face
I don't want just anyone to hold
I don't want my love to go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul

You're the one I wanna chase
You're the one I wanna hold
I wont let another minute go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul, your beautiful soul…"

Jack dips and twirls Merida and hugs her from behind and Merida laughs. She's never had fun dancing with guys in Scotland like this before.

"You might need time to think it over
But I'm just fine moving forward
I'll ease your mind if you give me the chance
I will never make you cry, c'mon lets try

I don't want another pretty face
I don't want just anyone to hold
I don't want my love to go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul

You're the one I wanna chase
You're the one I wanna hold
I wont let another minute go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul"

They stop dancing to view the couple. The girl looks like she was on the verge of tears. Happy tears. Jack wonders if Merida would react the same. 'Probably not. She seems like the type of girl who wouldn't cry over a boy confessing.'

"Am I crazy for wanting you?
Maybe, do you think you could want me too?
I don't wanna waste your time
Do you see things the way I do?
I just wanna know that you feel it too
There is nothing left to hide"

As Jack continued his dance with Merida, he wondered if he should tell her what she was thinking. When would be the right time? Where? Jack never thought he would think so much about a girl. Should he give up and be friends? There has been others girls on his mind before he met the fiery spirit.

"I don't want another pretty face
I don't want just anyone to hold
I don't want my love to go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul

You're the one I wanna chase
You're the one I wanna hold
I wont let another minute go to waste
I want you and your soul

I don't want another pretty face
I don't want just anyone to hold
I don't want my love to go to waste
I want you and your beautiful soul, beautiful soul"

He did have a little crush on Tooth, but he decided they were nothing more than friends. And that Rapunzel girl was pretty cute. But Merida really caught his interest. And he wanted her, and no one else.

He wanted her beautiful soul.

"Your beautiful soul…"

When the song was over, the girl, or Chelsea, ran over to him and gave him a kiss. For a split second, Jack envied the newfound couple. He felt like he wanted to be the guy and for Merida to be the girl. They both walked off and talked about their future.

"Wow. The power of love is stronger than I thought."

"It is. That's what I love about my job. I've never been in love before, but it's nice to see others happy in the world for a change. But someday-" She looks to him and smiles. "-I'll find someone for me."

Something about that comment made Jack smile. 'I'll for sure tell her when the time is right…'
