Sorry this took so long, this year has been hectic. It's like once one huge event/tragedy gets finished another begins. But I graduate in seven days, then I'll have plenty of time to write and catch up on all my fanfictions.
also- random thought alert- I want to say thank you to all my readers from Canada, for sticking with America even though we're stupid and arrogant. Thanks for having our back. End of random thought.

"Why did you do that?" Nixie yells at Aquata, who is extremely confused.
"He was attacking you, was he not?"
"No he wasn't! We were playing...That doesn't matter." She runs over to cam, checking his head there is a little blood but nothing serious. Hopefully.
"Is he okay?" Aquata ask, in the same sing-song-y voice Serena uses when she's worried. Nixie's running theory is that both Serena and Aquata use that voice because they're sirens and when they sing it helps to calm the agitated person. But nixie is not affected by it for two reasons: 1) she's grown up with Aquata and Serena, and 2) she is a nixie mermaid (yes like her name) which is just a more powerful version of a siren.
"Yes I think so, no thanks to you. What are you even doing here?" Nixie pulls cams injured head into her lap, using her powers she pulls two bubbles of water out of the moon pool to clean the blood off the wall and cam's head. While she does this Aquata tells her story.
"The pod saw the blood moon and felt the tremor. I was worried about you, Serena, and..." She pause trying to remember the third girl's name. "Lillian-"
"Lyla." Nixie corrects her.
"Exactly, so I ask the council and they sent me to make sure you all were okay."
"I am obviously fine. Serena and Lyla are too. They went on shore with Zac and David." Aquata nods
"We were just worried that you all might have gotten into some kind of trouble."
"Well, we haven't. So you can go now."
"Okay..." She sinks under the water then quickly pops back up." One question, if you three didn't cause it then what was the tremor?" As if on cue cams tale appears. Water nixie used to clean his head must have caused it.
"Well I guess that answers that question."
Serena and David just finished practice when Rita call and ask for them to meet here in her cave. When they had arrived Zac and Lyla were already there. Rita sat then down and told the group that cam had become a merman. She said something to do with the blood moon and a bunch of other real technical stuff about molecules and history. But Serena couldn't focus on that, cam is a merman.
Cam is a merman. It's so wonderful, she couldn't contain her joy. He can now join their pod-of course he officially joined the pod last night, but now he could swim with the pod and really be a part. This new pod is really shaping up, all that's left is to somehow make David a merman. But maybe that's not a good idea. David is a good human.
Lyla and Zac were not as enthusiastic.
"What?!" Lyla shout, shooting up off the couch and away from Zac, who is show is displeasure a little less verbally. "How did he manage that-" Lyla turns on Zac. "He couldn't have done it alone."
"Are you accusing me of helping him? One- I thought we had all forgiven cam. And two- how could I have helped him, we don't even know how he got his powers."
"That's not entirely true." Rita stands up for the stool she had previously been perched on. "You don't know how he got his powers, I do." She grabs a large, old book from her desk, flipping quickly to a marked page and handing it to the angry Lyla. Zac leans over her shoulder so he can see too. Both me and David wait. They will show us when they are done.
"The blood moon, so us locking him in the cave did this? So are we-" she stops.
"The one who gave him his powers." Zac finishes her sentence. Rita smiles, a 'yes you are and I know I'm gonna have to clean up your mess' kind of smile and take the book.
"Well do we know how to take the powers away?" Lyla turns towards Rita, shutting Serena and David out of the circle.
"Well, the book does have some information about..." They continue to discuss stripping cam of his abilities. Serena can't take it, so she stands and screams.
"Stop! No one is taking away cam's powers. He is one of is now and we have to teach him, and love him, not take away his tail." All the other people stare at her, but no one speaks. "I know Cam messed up in the past, but he apologized-it's that good enough?" Lyla rolls her eyes.
"Can't you see, his apology wasn't real. All this time he's been trying to get close to us-and-and trick us into locking him in the cave-That's it- besides he isn't a mermaid/man that tail isn't really his." At this point Serena is beyond all reason. 'How could Lyla be so hateful to a fellow pod-mate?' She thinks to herself. David wraps his arm around her shoulders reassuringly, as the tears begin to spill onto her cheeks.
"I don't really know much about this mermaid thing-but it seems to me that Lyla's logic is fairly sound." He pauses, Serena is shocked that he would agree with Lyla, who along with Zac, seems very smug. But then David continues.
"But if what you're saying is true, then wouldn't that apply to Zac as well?" They leave the couple in their stunned silence. Serena has a new mer-brother to congratulate.
