Finally he opened up to her.
It took a long time, but she was glad she stuck it out. She understood, now, what had been going on in his head and why things had been so hard; why he had struggled so much to function, to tell her.
Things would be easier now, she thought. Not just for him but for her.
He needed her because he needed someone to depend upon. She needed him because she needed to feel depended upon.
Things worked better now, though she almost wished they didn't. Maya had never liked this side of her, though maybe Mikoto did.
Maybe that was why their relationship worked, in more ways than one.
