The minute Noire woke up; she knew something was very wrong. Coming with dealing with many of Neptune's crazy antics has honed her sixth sense to a degree she knew there was a disturbance in the Force. She could tell by sensing her Shares, which were vastly low, which should have been impossible. "Ah, you're awake! Oh, what a relief…" a voice spoke, and Noire knew that voice anywhere. She turned her head and saw Compa smiling at her. "Compa…what happened?" she asked as Compa sighed and she looked…nervous. "Well, after you lost to Storm he carried you to the nearest hospital to get treated. You've been out for a week." She explained as Noire immediately shot straight up in her bed.
"A week?! Then I-!"
"Also, there have been riots in Lastation and Leanbox. Due to you losing, a lot of followers are rioting and rebelling. Since you were out, Storm has been busy taking matters in his own hand and with help of others, managed to arrest a handful of them. Nep-Nep and Ge-Ge went with Naruto to find the leader of Lastation's rebels while Blanc, Rom and Ram went to Leanbox to help Vert. I stayed here with Iffy to help you recover your shares." She continued, not noticing Noire's darkening expression and depression at how everything was falling apart.
Was she this pathetic, she, who worked harder than any of the CPUs here, all of her work was torn down in one fight.
There is always someone better than you.
The words echoed in her head and she recalled what else happened immediately after that as her face went tomato red as she hugged herself and shook her head. She didn't like the kiss! She didn't! I-It wasn't like it was a good feeling, honestly!
Compa merely tilted her head to the side in confusion of Noire's change in reactions.
*Lastation*
"Hiya!" Storm exclaimed as he elbowed another rioter in the chest from behind him as he kicked another in the face. "Geez, just because Noire lost one time they all go crazy. How immature are these guys?" he grumbled as he cracked his neck. He stood on a pile of dead (actually unconscious) people as he sniffed the air as he triumphantly walked away as the police took them to jail. They were becoming harder to subdue with hand to hand combat, and worse, monsters are also being used. "Hey, how's things on your end?" he asked as he began communicating with his walkie-talkie. "All clear here sir," came a female voice as Storm nodded his head. "That's good, heard Noire is awake. Going to see her once we're done here?" he asked as the female voice stuttered. "Look, just try not to go…the way you usually do like when we first met 'kay? I'm sure she'll like your company." He told her as he hung up and looked up at the sky. "Things are really hectic as of late…" he mused.
*Leanbox*
"Sweeeeeeeeeeeet! Now that's what I'm talkin' about uh-huh!" Sasuke exclaimed with a little swag in his steps as he scored another headshot against a rioter. "You're telling me! That was awesome on a level of 1000 over 10!" Bold Text exclaimed as Vert with a classic pistol scored a headshot herself. "She's catching up, better step up our game." Underline Text told them. Right now, Sasuke was helping Vert deal with the rioters in a very strange fashion. They made it a game so that was reminiscing of a rail gun arcade game. Shooting down enemies and get the highest score was the challenge. Winner with the highest score is treated to something nice and fancy for dinner even if it costs them being in a lifetime debt. Sasuke was determined to beat Vert, and Vert wasn't one for losing as each one of them was shooting for supremacy.
But since these are people and not zombies or mutated animals of the sort, they had to use special tranquilizer bullets to knock them out. And their targets were the people, as the Lowee Trio are busy fending off monsters. Wolf monsters apparently, "Hey, you don't think this chapter is advertisement do you?" Sasuke asked as Vert paused and looked at him, while head-shooting a few more men coming her way. "What do you mean?" she asked.
"I mean, why only Leanbox and Lastation huh? Why not the other two nations? While I'm not game console savvy like Naruto, I know there's a big online game he's currently playing for a new expansion. Know any connected to Lastation's Network or Leanbox's Market?" he asked as Vert paused before shooting another headshot and thought for a moment. "Actually…there is, but why is that…?" she began as radios and televisions began emitting static worldwide.
"Testing, testing, argh, is this piece of junk on?" a garbled voice asked as everyone was paying attention. "Greetings and salutations my dear friends; I am Zero, leader of a new revolution into an era without goddesses!" the voice announced as everyone blinked in surprise at that bold declaration. "For eons pass, we've worshipped these goddesses as our saviors, protectors, a paragon for others to follow. But do not be deceived by their tarnished beauty, one is a slacker, one is as violent as a gorilla on weed, another is a NEET, but finally, one who closes herself off from the world itself!"
This got the ire of Blanc, Vert and Noire when he mentioned that. "But fear not, for us to truly live in peace without these goddesses, I say down with their tyranny! We, the House of Wolves shall bring judgment upon these self-righteous beings and bring true peace to the-!"
In Planeptune, Storm fired a bullet in the TV screen, destroying it as he blew the smoke from his gun's barrel. "Wow, talk about a dark twist to a usually happy-go-lucky story." Neptune remarked as Storm shrugged. "Bad things happen when I get involved." He replied nonchalantly as Nepgear looked worried. "Shouldn't we do something about them?" she asked as Storm smirked. "Wait for it…" he told her as Naruto's voice echoed through the radios and TVs (minus the one Storm shot at). "Hello people of Gamindustri, I Naruto Uzumaki, am offended by these twists thinking they are right. Who is he to call goddesses who are just as human as us tyrants?" he demanded as the charisma of Naruto swept through the hearts of the listeners.
"I hereby place bounties upon these fiends who dare upstart the peace of Gamindustri. Let them know my wrath as a «Player of this World»…Beware House of Wolves-"
"Let the hunt begin." Storm finished darkly.
Sorry 'bout this chapter ladies and gents, but I'm under the hype for Destiny right now but I guarantee next chapter will involve romances with the goddesses. Now if you would mind, I've got some wolves to skin. Oh, and good luck fellow Guardians out there with what awaits. Peace!
