Chapter 7- Plots and Plans
AN: (while I'm sitting in front of my computer thinking of what to include in this chapter, there's a knock at my door. I go to open it)
Me: (gasps and appears shocked, not knowing what to say)
Eugene: Hi! (I still look at him, shocked and in awe that he's in my room)
Eugene (confused and freaked out): Did you need me for something?
Me: (I continue to stare, then realize he asked me a question) Huh?
Eugene: You summoned me. That must mean you need me for something.
Me: (Now it's my turn to look confused) I never summoned you.
Eugene: Uh, yeah you did. You stopped by our castle in Corona and told one of our guards that you needed me for an "urgent matter."
Me: That wasn't me.
Eugene: Are you sure? The way the guard described the person sounds exactly like how you look.
Me: (I stare at him, confused for a moment, then remember something) Well, I did summon you, but I never went to Corona. (Eugene looks at me confused; I give him a knowing smile).
Me: Let's just say one of my friends with transformation abilities acted as my indirect messenger and summoned you for me. (Eugene is still confused)
Me: It's a long story and I don't feel like telling it to you at the moment.
Eugene: (looks disappointed for a moment, then changes the topic): Okay, well, anyways, why am I here?
Me: (trying not sound flirtatious) because I want you to be. (Eugene looks confused again)
Me: I was lonely and needed company. Plus, I thought it would be really cool if you and I met and hung out.
Eugene: Uh, don't we know each other already?
Me: Kinda, but just the stuff that everyone else knows about us.
Eugene: So, you pretty much want to just chill with me?
Me: (looks at him with an expectant look) Yeah!
Eugene: (smiles, mostly to himself, then chuckles): Okay, I guess I'm gonna be here for a while. How long do you want me here?
Me: As long as you can.
Eugene: Will anyone be able to contact me if they need me?
Me: Yeah, you guys can communicate with me through the computer and when I watch your movies, remember?
Eugene: Oh, yeah, right. So, I guess I'll just stay here until someone needs me or until I'm ready to go home.
Me: Cool, sounds like a plan! Oh hey, while you're here, would you like to help me write the next chapter?
Eugene: Depends on how often you're planning on including me.
Me (slightly annoyed yet amused): Don't worry, I'm planning on you being in this chapter a lot.
Eugene: But how often exactly?
Me: Let's find out together, shall we?
Eugene: Ok! (Eugene and I then begin discussing story ideas)
Hi everyone! As you can see, I have yet another visitor, but this time I'm letting him stay (In the words of said visitor: yay!), mainly so he can help me with ideas for the story. Speaking of which, this chapter will include more of the princes and sidekicks than the previous chapters did, since that was requested by a few of you. The main plot of this chapter will revolve around everyone putting their plans together and the good guys preparing to confront the villains. Once again, remember to read and review! I do not own any of these movies, settings or characters, they all belong to Disney! And now, ladies and gentlemen, on with the story!
All of the sidekicks, along with those that had told them about the villains' plan, were gathered in front of Cinderella's castle, anxiously awaiting what was to come.
"What in Walt's name are we doing here," exclaimed a very frustrated dwarf, who was appropriately named Grumpy. "Aren't we supposed to be savin' the day and all that?!"
"We will, as soon as Stitch and the princes get here," assured Hercules.
Grumpy then muttered something about not needing the princes. Unfortunately for him, Olaf happened to hear him, since he was close enough to him. He gasped in shock and exclaimed, very defensively, "What do you mean 'we don't need them'?!"
Grumpy, who was not affected at all by Olaf's outburst, looked him straight in the eye and retorted, "Exactly what I said, we don't need 'em."
"But, without the princes, we won't be able to fully defeat the villains."
"We can take care of 'em ourselves. There are more of us than there are of them."
Olaf, who was getting unusually frustrated and annoyed with Grumpy's negative attitude, gave him a look and said very clearly without sounding too angry, "The princes are our friends. We can't just go off and save the day and leave them to sit around and do nothing!"
"Why not?! Some of 'em would be more than happy to!"
"Even if their loved ones are in danger?!" Grumpy, who was tired of arguing with Olaf, just crossed his arms and turned away. Olaf, however, wasn't finished.
"There is a saying that I always say. 'Love is putting someone else's needs before yours'. And since the princes love the princesses, they would do anything for them, which includes helping us rescue them." By this point, Grumpy had walked away, muttering to himself again.
"I'm telling the truth!" Olaf called to him. "They'll help us!"
"Pay no attention to him. He's nothing but a grump," said a voice behind Olaf. He turned around to see-
"Sven?! Did you just talk," asked Olaf in shock.
"No, sir. That was me," exclaimed a voice that clearly wasn't Sven's. Olaf looked up at Sven's head to see the green cricket, whose name was Jiminy.
"Oh, hi Jiminy. Sorry, I didn't see you there!"
Jiminy chuckled lightheartedly and said, "That's all right! Most people have a hard time seeing me. That's one of the reasons why I'm a conscience." There was a pause. Then, Olaf asked, "Remind me again of what a conscience is?" Jiminy then explained to Olaf about what a conscious was and what his role was as one.
Meanwhile, Genie and Lumiere were discussing various topics. Lumiere happened to glance over to where the others were gathered and talking amongst each other. He then turned towards Genie and said to him, "Pardonez moi monsieur, but there appears to be someone missing." Both he and Genie turned towards the other sidekicks. Genie then said, "Hmm, there is someone missing. But who could it be?" As if to answer his question, both he and Lumiere overheard Olaf ask, "Hey, what happened to that cat?" Lumiere and Genie both looked at each other, then shook their heads in pretend annoyance. Even though the Cheshire Cat was very sneaky, manipulative and mysterious, Lumiere and Genie enjoyed his company, when he chose to be good, that is. They then began discussing where they thought Cheshire Cat was at the moment, and what he was up to.
Elsa found herself in a dark, unknown place. She had no idea where she was, nor how she got there. The last thing she remembered was following two guards to one of the castles in the Magic Kingdom, but she couldn't remember which one? Did they even tell her? As Elsa was attempting to remember what had previously happened, she noticed that wherever she was felt cold. Her eyes immediately went to her feet, where ice was beginning to form. This was a huge signifier that Elsa was very nervous, for that was the only time she unconsciously released her powers. Elsa took deep breaths and tried to calm herself down, in order to make the ice go away. The ice was receding, but there was still some around her feet. Feeling like she was calm enough, Elsa then wondered aloud to herself, "Hmm, I wonder how I could get out of here." Just as she was about to find a source of light, a voice behind her said, "Perhaps I can help you." Elsa turned towards where the voice was, but saw no one. As she was about to walk away, she heard someone clear his or her throat behind her. Elsa immediately turned around, slightly startled by the noise. She was so startled that she almost released an icy blast, but managed to make it disappear before it could do any real damage. Once she had her powers in control, Elsa looked in the direction where she had previously heard the voice. To her surprise, a dark tree stood in front of her. But, what was even more surprising to her was the purple and pink striped cat that was perched on one of the branches. This cat was none other than the Cheshire Cat.
"Who are you," asked Elsa, trying to hide her fear.
"I believe the question is 'who are you'" replied the cat.
"I'm Queen Elsa of Arendelle."
"Oh, you are, are you," asked the cat, obviously in thought. Then Cheshire Cat said, "Something tells me you are lost."
"Yes, I'm trying to find a way out of here," answered Elsa.
"Well, you could go this way." Cheshire Cat pointed to his left.
"Okay, thank you," said Elsa. But as she was about to head in the direction she was prompted to go, the cat said, "Or you could go this way." Elsa stopped, trying to think about which direction would be the best. As she was about to make her decision, Cheshire Cat then said, "You could also go this way." He pointed upwards. "Or this way." He pointed downwards. Elsa was now very confused and frustrated. All she wanted to know was how to get out of here. How difficult was that? Finally, after a few more "or this ways," and pointing in various directions, Cheshire Cat said, "The best way to get out of here, however, is that way." He pointed in the direction he had first pointed in, At this point, Elsa was beginning to get very annoyed with the cat, but she managed to maintain her composure in front of him.
"Okay, thank you, I'll take that route."
"Good luck, my dear," said the cat.
"Thank you," said Elsa. And with that, she headed down the path. Once she was gone, the Cheshire Cat grinned his signature wide grin and said to himself, "You're going to need it." He then began humming the 'Twas Brillig song as he disappeared. It turned out that the real way to get out of the place was to the right, but being the cat Cheshire Cat was, he couldn't resist tricking Elsa. Besides, there was another reason why he decided to trick her.
Meanwhile, the sidekicks, along with Hercules, the two mice, who were named Bianca and Bernard and the detective mouse, whose name was Basil. Pooh the yellow bear, Tigger the tiger and Eeyore the donkey had decided to not join them on the rescue mission because they, even Tigger, thought it would be too dangerous for them. They were all waiting for Stitch to arrive with the princes. Just as it looked like they weren't going to show up, everyone heard what sounded like unintelligible chatter. Everyone turned towards where they heard the voice to see Stitch standing with the princes.
"Told ya they'd show up," murmured Olaf to Grumpy, who only glared at the overly cheerful snowman.
"Well, it's about time you guys showed up," snapped Iago.
"Well, we would've been on time had someone not decided that we all needed to grab weapons at the last minute," roared Adam at Shang, who glared back at him.
"Would you rather we all get killed," retorted Shang.
"Isn't that what hand-to-hand combat is for?!"
"Yeah, but that's not enough to fully protect ourselves. Didn't you learn your lesson from the last time you fought a villain?!" At this, Adam's expression immediately went from angry to sad. He walked towards a bench and sulked, thinking about the night when he had fought Gaston… and lost. He felt ashamed for himself. Belle and the others had told him that they had won, that Gaston was gone. That was true, but someone or something, he couldn't remember specific details, had defeated him instead. He had failed at protecting his friends and the love of his life. He buried his face in his hands, trying to hold back the tears that were nonetheless escaping his eyes. As he was about to give up and let it all out, Adam felt movement next to him. He looked up to see Aladdin looking at him in a concerned way. He then looked around to see everyone else giving him the same look. Adam immediately covered his face with his hands again, this time embarrassed that he had caused a scene.
"Hey, it's alright," comforted Aladdin. There was a semi-awkward pause as everyone thought of what to say or do next. Then, Shang cleared his throat and said to Adam, "Hey, uh, sorry about what I said just now. But, protecting yourself is just as important as protecting others. That's why I insisted we bring weapons. We are going to be facing some of the most dangerous creatures in the Disney Universe, after all." At this, Adam sighed in defeat and continued to hide his face in his hands. He felt like he was back in the castle, hopelessly waiting for someone to come to the rescue of him and the rest of the castle residents. He looked up once again, this time startled, when someone put a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, at least it was only Gaston that time," said Eugene. That didn't make things any better for Adam. He sighed and put his head down. "That's why I failed everyone! He had no magic powers or anything! I'm stronger than him, I could've defeated him!" Adam was about to continue his rant, but was stopped by Mrs. Potts, who shushed him.
"Master, you didn't fail us," she said. Adam looked down to where she was in front of him, confused but wanted Mrs. Potts to continue. As if on cue, she did. "We all thought, and still do think, it was very brave of you to stand up for us, especially Belle, like that. Things probably would've gotten worse if you had remained in the West Wing."
"But I died," protested Adam, still not convinced he was as heroic as people said he was.
"Nooo, you almost died," corrected Eugene. Everyone turned to look at him, a little shocked that he would say something like that. "I've been in a similar situation as you, remember?" Adam slightly nodded. There was another pause. Then, Kristoff approached Adam and said, "I know how you feel. I kind of felt the same way when I thought I had lost Anna. I thought that I was weak and defenseless. But then, I thought about everything I had been through, and how brave I was to go through all that. That's one of the things that kept me from turning around and heading back to the woods."
"At least your battle ended well," growled Adam softly.
"But it did end well," said Lumiere. Adam looked at him the same way he had previously looked at Mrs. Potts.
"Belle saved you, remember?" Adam looked slightly more cheerful, but was still down.
"And let's not forget the time when you saved Belle from the wolves," reminded Naveen. At this, Adam immediately perked up. He had completely forgotten about that incident, especially since there was now no evidence it had even happened.
"There we go, see, we told you you're a hero," said Eugene. Adam smiled at Eugene, thanking him and everyone else for their kind words.
"I hate to break up the therapy session, but we kinda have a SERIOUS PROBLEM here," screeched Iago. Aladdin turned and smiled at Adam.
"What do you say, Adam? Are you ready for another adventure," he asked. Adam looked at him, then at the other princes, sidekicks and other heroes that had come. Then, he gave everyone a determined look and said, "All right. So, what's the plan?" Everyone smiled at him and gave him more encouraging words. Then, everyone began discussing their plans for defeating the villains.
Elsa found herself once again lost, still in complete darkness. She was starting to become very nervous, as indicated by the trail of ice that was gathering behind her as she wandered around, searching desperately for a way out. After wandering around in complete darkness for what seemed like an hour, Elsa began to become frustrated and angry. So much so that she couldn't help but loose her temper, something she would never do in front of anyone, including her sister.
"That stupid cat! I knew he was up to no good! I should've never listened to him…" Elsa's angry rage, as well as her ice trail, faded as she saw a dim glow ahead of her. It was flickering, so Elsa assumed that it was some kind of flame. Happy to finally be out of the darkness, Elsa ran right towards the light. Unfortunately for her, though, that only made things worse for her. To her unpleasant surprise, there, in front of her, were the villains. Elsa didn't know who they were, but she knew enough about them to recognize them as villains.
"Well, well," smirked Maleficent. "Looks like we have a new member." She chuckled evilly. Elsa's anger immediately returned, sensing what the villains were up to. Her anger increased once she saw Hans standing next to Maleficent, smirking and chuckling evilly along with her.
"Hello, Elsa, it's so nice to see you again," said Hans, sarcastically.
"What a surprise," Elsa murmured angrily. She tried to maintain her regal, calm composure, in order to follow her rule about losing her temper in front of others.
"Hello Hans," said Elsa, this time trying to sound nice. However, it came out colder than she expected. At this point, however, she didn't care. She couldn't stand the sight of the man that had hurt her and her sister. Not only that, but he was obviously hanging out with the wrong crowd now. She was angry at all of them, for she now realized that she had foolishly wandered into a trap. This was further confirmed when Cheshire Cat appeared at the Queen of Hearts' feet. She glared at the cat, who simply smiled and waved at her.
"Might I ask what you were looking at just now," asked Jafar coolly.
"That ca-" she stopped once she realized Cheshire Cat wasn't there anymore. She groaned and muttered impolite things about the cat under her breath.
"Ah, a temper I see," said Captain Hook. "You'll make a very good addition to our group." He smiled evilly at Elsa.
"I will never join you," stated Elsa angrily. At this point, the entire room was beginning to freeze over. Unfortunately for her, that only made the villains even happier. They looked around, interested at Elsa's powers. They had only heard about what she was capable of, but to see it in action was even better than they had expected.
"Whoa! Now that's evil," exclaimed Hades. Elsa only glared at him.
"Come on, you wiped out a whole kingdom with that," he continued, only to infuriate Elsa even more.
"I did NOT 'wipe out' Arendelle!"
"But you almost did, didn't you," asked Frollo. Elsa chose not to answer him. She only glared at him. Then, she said, a little calmer, "Look, no matter how much you all convince me to join you, I won't. Now if you'll excuse me, I will continue to find my way out of this place.
As soon as Elsa turned to leave, the Queen of Hearts stopped her and said, "All ways are MY way here!" Elsa glared at her.
"Who put you in charge" challenged Hades.
The Queen of Hearts glared at Hades and shouted, mostly to him, "Since you failed to have noticed, Wonderland is MY kingdom! Therefore, every way is MY WAY!" She stood in front of Elsa with crossed arms.
"I don't care whose way it is, I'm going home," stated Elsa. She tried to go around the queen, but was stopped by Hades.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, what's the rush," he asked. "You just got here! We've gotta at least see more of those cool powers of yours! Haha, you get it? 'Cool' powers? Because…" Once he realized he wasn't getting a response from Elsa, he gave her a slightly annoyed look and said, "Hey, come on, you gotta admit that was funny!" When there was still no response from Elsa other than a glare, Hades sighed and said in a threatening way, "Okay, fine, if you're gonna play that card, we'll just have to raise the stakes!" All of a sudden, Elsa felt herself being pulled away from where Hades was and straight towards a small table with six chairs. Elsa began to get up from the chair and continue to walk away, but some unknown force was preventing her from doing so. She looked around to try and figure out what it was. To her confusion, dark figures were under the table, holding her feet down. Yzma, Jafar, Maleficent, Hades and Dr. Facilier then joined her at the table, Yzma carrying a tray with six goblets on them. She then handed out the goblets, very carefully and slowly, almost as if she had filled the goblets too high with whatever was in them. Elsa was confused when she received hers, and gave the villains a look.
"Glad to see you finally decided to join us," said Dr. Facilier.
"I didn't-"began Elsa. But, Yzma cut her off before she could continue.
"Let us toast to our new member," she announced. Everyone raised their goblets to join in the toast. Elsa looked at everyone else suspiciously, then joined them in the toast. When she went to sip from her goblet, she noticed that whatever was in there smelled and tasted sweet. She couldn't identify what the substance was, but it was very delicious. Once she put the goblet down, she thanked the villains and told them how delicious the drink was.
"Thank you, dear, I made it myself," said Yzma. Elsa saw an unusual look cross Yzma's face. But before she could process what it was, she all of a sudden began to feel somewhat nauseous and very, very, tired. She tried to stay awake, but whatever had caused her to feel the way she was feeling had overcome her so much that she finally gave into her fatigue and passed out, falling to the floor. At this, the villains, minus Hades, laughed evilly.
"At last, she will be ours," said Yzma.
"Nice work," said Hades to Yzma. "I've gotta admit, that was a pretty good plan you worked up."
Yzma smiled proudly and said, "Thank you. I told you the plan would work!" She then began to continue bragging about herself before Hades stopped her.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, we get it, you're a good villain. Now, where are we gonna put her?" He gestured towards the still unconscious Elsa.
Maleficent smiled thoughtfully, then said, "I'm sure we can find- appropriate- accommodations for her." The villains, once again, minus Hades, began laughing evilly. Once they were finished, Hades said to them, "I still don't know why you guys do that."
"Do what," asked Dr. Facilier.
"That evil laugh thing. I mean I know you do it because you think it's 'cleansing for the soul' and all that, but I still don't understand why you guys think it's fun. I mean, no offense, but it's kinda pointless, you know?" The other villains glared at him. Then Jafar said, a little calmer than he was feeling, "Yes, but it makes us feel better, as I have mentioned to you before."
"Yeah, but why," asked Hades. There was a pause as everyone else thought about this. They had never really thought about why they laughed whenever they succeeded, they just did. Finally, Dr. Facilier said, "You know, I'm not really sure. I guess it's just something we do." Hades looked at them, not believing them. Then, he sighed and said, "All right, if that's your thing…" The villains, still minus Hades, then continued to evilly laugh at the fact that they had succeeded. Hades just sighed and shook his head, obviously annoyed with his colleagues', in his opinion, strange way of expressing their joy.
AN: Hi guys! So, the bad news is that Eugene had to go back to Corona to attend to some important matters back there, and also, this story is almost at its end. The next chapter will feature the climax of the story, which will then lead to the ending, as per tradition of most movies I've seen, especially Disney ones. But, this is not the last story I will write, so be on the lookout for more after this story, even though it may be a while until a new story is posted. I hope this chapter was to your liking, it took me at least a week to type this up. As usual, feel free to point out any errors or make any suggestions, but do it in a nice way please!
Until then, adios amigos! That means "goodbye friends" in Spanish, for those of you who don't know.
PS: Yes, I do have a crush on Eugene, even though he's not real and he's taken already :(. But hey, a girl can dream, right?! :D
