Chapter 8- To the Rescue
As I enter the room, I notice it's extremely cold. As soon as I step into the room, I slip and fall, realizing there's ice on the ground. As I stand up, I see that the room is completely covered in ice and snow. Various objects have been thrown around, and I see broken pencils and even pieces of popcorn and other food items all over. I then look over to my desk, where my computer is, and glare at the being that occupies the chair.
Me (angrily): OLAF!
Olaf (turns around and faces me, a combination of surprise, joy and fear on his face): Oh, thank goodness you're here, I thought you'd never come back! By the way, I'm really sorry about all this! I know you trusted me enough to watch things while you were gone but-"
Me (interrupts him by raising my hand): First of all, would you care to explain all of THIS?! (I gesture to the chaos around us)
Olaf: It's not what it looks like! It wasn't my fault. Well, not entirely. Let's just say there was a slight problem while you were gone.
Me (still mad, but not as much as I was before): Judging by the state of the room, I don't think it was a "slight" problem.
Olaf: Okay, it was a HUGE problem! (Olaf stops talking, I just stand there with my arms crossed, expecting him to continue)
Olaf (takes a deep breath): Well, that one blue bad guy that's in the story you're writing now, I can't think of his name, came in here looking for you. When he saw me, he got mad and demanded to know where you were. I told him I didn't know, and he disappeared. A few minutes later, all these scary creatures came in and began to attack me. I looked for something to defend myself with, but all I could find was a bag of popcorn, some pencils and more food. I threw some popcorn and pencils at the creatures, but more and more kept coming. Finally, I tried doing what you do when you're in trouble and contact some help. I continued fighting the creatures until I felt the temperature drop.
Me: Let me guess, Elsa helped you defeat the monsters and saved you. (Olaf nods).
I (sighs): Well, at least everything's fine now. But why is this place still frozen over?
Olaf: Elsa said she'd clean it up once she finished dealing with the monsters.
Me: And where is she now?
Olaf: She went back to Arendelle to figure out what to do with the monsters. I don't know when she'll be back.
Me: Okay, well while we wait for her, let's clean up what we can.
Olaf: But what about the story?
Me: Oh, yeah, let's think of ideas while we clean.
Olaf: Okie dokie!
(In Oaken's voice) Yoo hoo! Hello readers (end Oaken voice). Sorry for the extremely long delay in updating, but this summer was really busy. The good news is that I will be updating my story. The bad news is that school has now started for me again, so you may have to wait a while for updates, but not as long as you had to wait for this one. In this chapter, we will see the good characters go head-to-head with the bad characters. We also will be seeing more of the princesses in this chapter (no I didn't forget about them). Reminder: I don't own any characters or locations mentioned in this story, the Walt Disney Company does. And with that, on with the story (finally)!
Once the group of heroes, princes and sidekicks, in addition to some newcomers that had heard about the incident and decided to help, finished discussing their plan of action, Shang said, "Okay, does everyone understand our plan?"
"So, half of us are going to go find Elsa and the villains while the rest of us make sure the princesses are safe and tell them what's going on," asked Olaf.
Aladdin nodded his head and said, "Yep."
"Okay, is everyone ready," asked John Smith. Everyone nodded and replied with various agreements. Then John signaled for his group, which consisted of him, Prince, Philip, Adam, Naveen, Kristoff, Happy, Dopey, Bashful, Jiminy, Timothy Mouse, Gus the mouse, Tramp, Flora, Merriweather, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Bagheera, Pongo, Merlin, Archimedes, Bianca, Thomas O'Malley, Toulouse, Robin Hood, Little John, Dodger, Tito, Basil, Sebastian, Cogsworth, Carpet, Iago, Simba, Timon, Rafiki, Hercules, Phil, Quasimodo, Phoebus, Yao, Ling, Chien Po, Tarzan, Terk, Pacha, Kronk, Stitch, Jumba, Mama Odie, Max, Pascal, Vanellope, Felix and Olaf. Everyone else said goodbye to the others and bade them good luck on their mission. They all then made their way to Cinderella's castle to tell the princesses the news.
As all of this was occurring, the princesses were telling Anna and Elsa about themselves and the stories that got them to where they currently were. At the moment, Mulan had just finished her story, and Anna had a lot of questions for her
"So, you're not a princess," asked Anna. Mulan shook her head. Before Anna could ask her next question, Mulan explained, "I'm considered a princess because of my heroic acts and me being a role model."
"So that's why Elsa's here, too," asked Anna. Mulan nodded again. Anna was uncharacteristically quiet for a moment as she thought this over. Anna then asked Mulan about her time in the war and what kinds of adventures she had, to which Mulan happily and proudly replied. Just then, there was a knock on the door. Everyone's conversation stopped as all of the princesses looked towards the door. They all then glanced at each other and murmured nervously amongst each other.
Jasmine stood up and offered to answer the door.
"It's probably just Elsa back from her 'emergency.'" As soon as she said this, the other princesses became relieved and continued talking amongst each other.
Jasmine made her way to the door, slightly cautious in case trouble lurked on the other side. When she opened the door, she was surprised and a bit confused to see Aladdin, Abu and Genie in front of her, looking very worried. Behind them were a large group of other characters, many of whom Jasmine recognized. She immediately knew that something was not right. Her theory was further confirmed when Aladdin said her name in a panicked voice.
"Aladdin! What's wrong," she asked, confused and worried. She immediately gestured for him, Genie and Abu to come in, shutting the door behind them. Aladdin and Genie then told her about Elsa and the villains. By now, the other princesses had gathered in the hallway upon hearing Aladdin and Genie's voices. They gasped and showed expressions of concern as they heard.
"We've got to do something," said Anna. Startled, Jasmine, Aladdin and Genie turned towards her. The other princesses agreed, some more hesitant than others.
"We have t' stop the villains and rescue Elsa," said Merida.
"A group has already set out to do that," said Aladdin. Merida crossed her arms and glared at Aladdin, grumbling impolite things to him. Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel and Anna all gave Aladdin looks as well.
"Look, I know what you're all thinking, but there's a lot of them, maybe even more than the villains," said Aladdin.
"Are our husbands a part of that group," asked Belle.
"Some of them are, yes," said Genie.
"Then we're going, too," said Mulan.
Aladdin looked like he was going to argue, but Jasmine gave him a look and whispered to him. Aladdin then agreed and told everyone to follow him.
Elsa slowly opened her eyes and sat up, her head pounding. She found herself in a dark and cold place, a place in which she was not familiar with. She slowly stood and began to wander around, trying to get a sense of where she was. After taking about five steps in front of her, she was zapped with a huge burst of electricity that knocked her to the ground. Elsa then walked a little bit backwards, with the same result. After going in two more directions, she realized that she was trapped in some kind of invisible electric field that prevented her from escaping. She then remembered what had occurred before she blacked out. She immediately became angry and annoyed with the villains because she knew it was them that had put her in her current position. She tried to freeze the field in order for her to escape, but the field was too strong. After about an hour, she sat on the ground and let her mind wander. Her thoughts then wandered to Anna and their friends, both old and new. Would they be all right? Would the villains be after them next? What if they were attacking them at this moment? Elsa sighed in slight defeat and even greater annoyance, not only over the villains, but mostly over herself once she realized that her powers were not strong enough to free her so she could check on everyone else. Elsa put her head down in defeat and began to cry, something she only did when she felt sad, depressed or defeated. She felt all three as she sat in her dark, cold prison awaiting her undetermined fate.
In another area of where Elsa was imprisoned, the villains were gloating about their victory with luring and capturing Elsa, and discussing what they were going to do next. All of a sudden, a huge clap of thunder sounded, drawing the attention of everyone to the entrance to where they were. Storm clouds began to form, which was odd, considering the location was not outside. Some of the villains murmured amongst themselves, knowing exactly what-or rather, who - was about to enter. Sure enough, the clouds soon disappeared to reveal a large, dark, demon-like creature. This was none other than the infamous Chernabog. Some of the villains, most of which were not expecting him whatsoever, looked at him, shocked. Others stared at him in fear. Even the other villains were afraid of Chernabog, further proving that he was the most powerful villain in the whole Disney Universe, even more powerful than Maleficent, who was the second most powerful. After a few seconds of silence, Maleficent, who was the only one brave enough to speak to him at the moment, stepped forward.
"Ah, Chernabog! What a surprise! We were not expecting you," she said in the nicest way possible, and even smiling at him, which was uncharacteristic of her. She, like all of the other villains, wanted to get on his good side, and she secretly wanted to outdo him in terms of power. Unfortunately for her, Chernabog was not happy at the moment.
"Why have you failed to inform me of your gathering," he roared.
"We tried, honestly," said Lady Tremaine, trying maintain her usual calm and collected manner. "But it seemed as if you weren't home when we paid you a visit."
Chernabog, who was slightly calmer now, turned to face Lady Tremaine and said, "And when, exactly, did you visit my domain?"
She turned to the other villains, hoping they'd have the answer she didn't. Thankfully, Hades answered for her.
"A little while ago," he answered with no fear whatsoever in his voice. Some villains were amazed and shocked at the bravery of those who had spoken to Chernabog. This gave them more courage in his presence, so they abandoned all signs of fear.
"I had a very important meeting to attend to," he explained, secretly smirking to himself.
"More important than ours," asked Jafar.
"Certainly not. But I was not informed of this meeting until one of the souls mentioned it after I returned from my first meeting." The other villains nodded.
Then, Ursula asked, "Might I ask what your previous meeting was about?" Chernabog was not expecting to be asked this, and he quickly thought of something to say, since he did not wish to reveal anything about his meeting.
"It is none of your concern," he stated coldly, but politely. He then asked the group, "All right. So, who is in charge of the meeting and why was I summoned here?" Immediately, Maleficent stepped forward and said, "I am the one conducting this meeting, despite the fact that this is Hades's realm. And to answer your second question, we have a special, shall we say, 'mission', to accomplish." She smiled evilly at this last part. This immediately got Chernabog's attention, so he asked, "What kind of mission?" The other villains then filled Chernabog in on what they had just got done doing and what their next plan of action would be.
Elsewhere, John, Merlin, Kristoff and Max, who Kristoff was riding, were leading their group towards where the villains were.
"Are you sure you know where we're going," asked Kristoff to John.
"Not really," admitted John. "But Merlin was kind enough to give me this magic map." He held up said map, which was glowing dark red in the upper right section. Kristoff turned towards the wizard, looking at him with slight confusion. John was also confused, so he was relieved when Merlin further explained the map. "If you look at the top right corner of this map," he explained, "You'll see that there is a dark red glow." Merlin held up the map and gestured to the glow so Kristoff could see. Kristoff slightly leaned to get a better look, being careful not to fall off of Max.
"The glow indicates where the villains are located. It will become brighter the nearer we are to the villains. That is how we will identify their whereabouts." Both John and Kristoff nodded in understanding, Kristoff uttering an, "Uh-huhhh," in thought and amazement. He had always been fascinated by magic his entire life, even though he was constantly exposed to it. There was something about it that was intriguing and, well, magical. That is, when it was used in a responsible and careful way. He had heard about those who were willing to use magic irresponsibly. He could think of a few examples off the top of his head, most of them from stories the other princes and some of the sidekicks had told him about their past experiences. He was pulled out of his reverie by a slight tap on the back of his shoulder and someone whispering his name. Kristoff turned around to see, to his surprise, Olaf sitting behind him.
"Guess you got tired, huh," he asked the snowman.
"Yeah, my feet were about to fall off, so I just thought I'd ride up here with you. Besides, the view is better from up here." He gestured around him at their wooded surroundings. The sun was setting, and it could be visible through the trees. Kristoff did have to admit it was a beautiful sight. But, that was not his main focus right now. After a few seconds of waiting for Olaf to say something else, Kristoff asked him, "What was it you wanted to tell or ask me earlier?" Olaf looked at him for a moment, confused. Then, realization dawned on him and he said, "Oh yeah, now I remember. I was going to ask you how long it's gonna take us to get there?"
"That I do not know. You will have to ask him." Kristoff gestured towards John, who was currently the one holding the map.
Olaf began to get John's attention. "Hey, uh…" he paused however, and whispered to Kristoff. "What's his name again?"
"John," reminded Kristoff.
"Okay, thank you," whispered Olaf. Then he once again called the attention of John, this time using his name. John turned at the sound of his name, and Olaf gestured for him to come closer, which he did.
"How much longer will it be before we get there," he asked.
"Well, that depends. I don't know if you heard Merlin or not, but he said that we would be close when this part of the map glows brighter." He held up the map to Olaf and gestured to the glowing part. Olaf's eyes widened immediately upon noticing the glow, and he gasped with amazement as he took the map from John.
"It's soooo shiny," he exclaimed slowly. Olaf stared at the glow for a moment before Kristoff said, "All right, Olaf. Unless you want us to get lost, I suggest you give the map back to John."
Olaf immediately snapped out of his trance and said, "Oh, right. Here you go," he said as he handed the map back to John. The group then continued on their way.
Meanwhile, the other group was searching the Magic Kingdom for Elsa and calling her name. After about an hour of searching, the group stopped to rest in the center of Fantasyland.
"Okay, now what," asked Eric, taking a seat on a nearby bench.
"We keep looking," stated a determined Anna.
"Where," asked Grumpy in his usual unhappy way. "We've searched the entire place and we haven't found her!"
"Well, there must be someplace we haven't looked yet," said Snow White, silently giving Grumpy a "be nice" look, to which he brushed off. As much as he liked Snow, he hated being told what to do, even by her. As everyone was thinking of their next plan of action, Alice heard a faint noise that sounded somewhat familiar to her coming from somewhere to the left. She then began to follow the sound, unbeknownst to everyone except for Wendy, who was really good friends with Alice, and could at least guess what she was thinking for most of the time. So, at the moment, she ran after Alice, calling after her. Once she caught up to her friend, Wendy asked, "Alice, where on earth are you going?!" She was worried that they would run into trouble, or get into trouble for not staying with the group, and was a bit annoyed that Alice once again let her curiosity get the better of her. It didn't help that Alice didn't answer her question, only mutter her usual, "Curiouser and curiouser," as she continued to wander. The sound, which Wendy had not heard before up until now, became more distinct as the girls got closer to the source. It sounded like someone humming. Upon hearing the humming, Alice immediately stopped and slightly rolled her eyes.
"What is it," asked Wendy.
"He's back," said Alice.
"Who's-"began Wendy. But before she could finish her question, a voice from behind them said, "Ah, Alice. There you are!" Wendy turned around to see none other than the Cheshire Cat smiling down at them from a nearby tree. She had heard Alice talk about the cat, but had never seen him until now. She had no idea how she should react around him, since Alice had told her he could be unpredictable. So, she let Alice do most of the talking, since she knew him a lot more than Wendy did. Unfortunately for Wendy, however, the cat had noticed her and turned towards her, still smiling his large, toothy grin. "And look, you've brought a friend."
Wendy smiled shyly and introduced herself. There was an awkward silence, as if Cheshire was expecting Wendy to say more. Thankfully, Alice broke the silence by asking politely, "What are you up to today, Cheshire?"
"I heard you were looking for something," he asked.
"Actually, we're looking for someone," corrected Alice. By this point, everyone else had gathered around the girls and the cat, some glaring at him or looking at him in an annoyed way. Cheshire noticed them and exclaimed in a somewhat mischievous tone, "Oh, look! More of your friends!" He smiled at them as he said this. Some of the newcomers as well as Wendy wanted to tell the cat of their mission, but they all thought better of it. After all, Alice was the one that knew him the most, so she knew how to deal with him and his sometimes confusing and misleading ways.
Anna, of course, was the exception. She stepped forward and asked the cat, "Have you seen a girl that looks slightly older than me, very blonde hair, blue dress..." Anna paused as she thought of more characteristics to describe her sister.
"We're looking for her sister," added Alice, not sure if that would help anything. But the look on Cheshire's face told her otherwise, and she quietly groaned to herself. What was he up to this time? As Alice predicted, the cat said in a thoughtful and mysterious way, "Oh yes. The one with special powers."
Anna's face, along with that of the others, save for Alice, brightened upon hearing the cat's recognition.
"You've seen her," asked Anna. Alice cringed upon hearing this. She knew better then to ask the Cheshire Cat more than one question, something she should've told her about before.
"Seen who," asked the cat.
"Elsa," answered Anna.
"Who?"
"My sister."
"What about your sister?"
"You said you knew where she was." At this point, Anna, along with everyone else, was beginning to get frustrated with the cat, who appeared to be of no help whatsoever. She was glad when Alice quietly let her know that she would handle him.
"Cheshire, would you be so kind as to tell us where Anna's sister went," Alice asked the cat, trying her best to be polite and patient.
"Oh," exclaimed the cat, trying to make it seem as if he just now understood what the two were trying to ask him. "Why didn't you say so?"
"I did say so," muttered Anna. But the cat either ignored her or pretended not to hear her, and said, "Well, you could go that way," he said, pointing behind the group. "Or this way." He pointed behind him. He then pointed in every direction imaginable and said, "Or this way," just like he had done with Elsa. After what seemed like the millionth "Or this way," the Cheshire Cat finally said, "But, if I were you, I would take the shortcut." He then gestured towards the Winnie the Pooh ride. Everyone either looked at each other, the ride, Cheshire, or all three, in confusion.
"But, isn't that a ride," asked Pumbaa. But the Cheshire Cat did not answer him. He only disappeared and began to hum his signature tune, leaving everyone else confused and slightly stunned. After a few seconds, Shang gestured for the group to follow him into the ride. Maybe there was some kind of clue inside of the ride as to where Elsa was.
Meanwhile, the group that had originally set out to find Elsa had been searching for what seemed like three hours, and they still hadn't found the villains. At the moment, Olaf was laying on the back of Max, reading the map very intensely. Being the curious snowman Olaf was, he wanted to look at the map, not just because of the glowing, but because he was interested in seeing if there was anywhere else worth exploring.
"Ooh, look," he exclaimed to Pascal, who was looking at the map with him, "I wonder what's over there?!" He pointed to a part of the map that was green in color and had a grey drawing that looked like a rock. "I wonder if there's any talking rocks there." Pascal looked at Olaf and made confused noises. Olaf turned to Pascal and saw his expression. "What," he asked. Pascal chirped, to which Olaf responded, "Yeah, I thought they didn't exist at first, too, until I saw them." Pascal chirped again, but something else caught Olaf's attention. He noticed that the glowing part of the map was even brighter now. Olaf's eyes widened in fascination and he gasped in excitement. He then remembered that he was supposed to tell everyone else when he saw anything different, so he held the map in the air and waved it around as he called, "Hey guys!" Everyone stopped and turned toward Olaf expectantly. As soon as he saw Olaf wave the map around, Iago muttered, "Finally," to himself, for he was getting tired of flying. Kristoff held his hand out and Olaf handed the map over to him. Immediately, everyone gathered around him, all trying to get a look at the map. Some even pushed and shoved, while still others shouted and began arguing with each other. This only made Kristoff nervous and annoyed, for he hated it when people crowded him. The only exceptions of that would be his family and his closest friends. Eventually, Kristoff became so annoyed with everyone that he said, "Okay, okay, one at a time, please." He tried to be patient with the group, but an exasperated sigh escaped him, thankfully not noticed at least to most of them. Everybody then backed away from Kristoff, with the exception of John, Olaf, Max, Pascal, Flora, Merriweather, Peter, Tinker Bell, Archimedes, Merlin, Robin Hood, Little John, Carpet, Iago and Stitch. Kristoff rolled his eyes, but sighed in defeat. He figured that no matter how many times he would tell everyone, there would always be those in which curiosity got the better of him, which was clearly the case right now. Those who were looking at the map were all looking for what had changed.
"Hey, look," said Peter all of a sudden, pointing to the glow, which now was also a darker shade of red.
"Oohh, shiny," exclaimed Stitch, who was on Kristoff's left shoulder and hadn't gotten the chance to look at the map yet, since he was in the middle of the pack previously. Stitch then reached out and grabbed the map from John.
"Hey," protested John, which only caused Stitch to childishly blow a raspberry at him. John sighed in irritation and said to the experiment, "You're worse than Meeko!" Stitch only muttered something in his alien language and began to take a closer look at the map. John grumbled to himself and marched over to Jumba, who hadn't seen what just happened. He had something to tell him about a certain mischievious creation of his. Peter snickered at this interaction, only stopping when Merriwether gave him a stern look.
"Well, I guess we're almost there," said Merlin. He then turned to Stitch and asked "Is that right, little one?" Stitch didn't answer, for he was too mesmerized by the glow on the map. Archimedes immediately flew over to him and shouted, "HEY," which startled Stitch so much that he jumped and exclaimed something in his native language. When he realized who it was, he immediately calmed down and said, "Sorry." Archimedes simply gave him an angry look and said, "In case you haven't noticed, you are being spoken to!" Archimedes, much like Merlin, didn't like it when others were being impolite, so Archimedes usually was the one to reprimand them, even though he wasn't exactly the calmest creature. Stitch growled at Archimedes, and mumbled something incoherent. But, he looked up from his map so he could speak to whoever spoke to him.
"Thank you for that Archimedes," said Merlin, secretly giving him a scolding look. He wished Archimedes wouldn't have such a temper, and he had been trying to teach him to control it for as long as he could remember. He then turned towards the alien and asked him again, "Is it true that we are getting closer to our final destination?"
Stitch nodded his head and said, "Ih."
Everyone then continued onwards, excitedly murmuring to one another. It turned out that they didn't have very much further to go. A few minutes later, they came to what looked like a dark, ominous cave. Everyone looked at the opening, terrified, with the exception of Hercules and Phil, who looked worried. They knew exactly where the opening led to, and it was not a place they were looking forward to entering. The cave turned out to be none other than the entrance to the Underworld.
"Oh, no," muttered Hercules. He and Phil then began to talk quietly amongst themselves.
Olaf stared at the opening, very nervously.
"No thanks, I choose life," he said and began to walk away, only to be stopped by Phil.
"Hey, now wait just a minute here. You're not going anywhere, pal," he said indignantly.
"Oh, don't worry about me" said Olaf, pretending to act more courageous than he felt. "I just thought, you know, I'd stay out here and keep watch, you know, just in case something comes after us."
"You know what," said Prince. "I cannot believe I am saying this, but that actually sounds like a really good idea." A few others agreed with him.
"Look, guys," said John. "We came all this way, right?" Everyone else nodded.
"And you want to save your friend, right?" Everyone once again nodded.
"Do you think that by standing around out here will do anything to help us rescue her?"
"It's only a few of us," said Cogsworth.
"I understand that," replied John, "But how do you think Elsa would feel if the rest of us came to rescue us, and she found out that all you did was stand around and wait?"
Everyone else thought about this for a moment. Most of them didn't know Elsa, but still considered her a friend based on what Olaf had told them about her. From what he had said, she seemed like a very kind, selfless person, despite her title and abilities. Olaf, meanwhile, shuddered at the thought of being turned into an ice cube because of his cowardliness. So, he, along with the others that had originally backed out, agreed with John. They then proceeded into the dark cavern, with Hercules and Phil leading the way, since they knew where they were going.
Back in the Underworld, Elsa's imprisonment had become entirely covered in ice due to the young queen still being an emotional wreck. At this moment, she was sitting on the ground, contemplating on whether or not she should make an attempt to escape. All of a sudden, she heard a faint rumbling off in the distance. She listened for more, but it was silent. About half an hour later, she heard footsteps and voices coming from somewhere nearby. Pain and Panic then came around the corner, saying something to some unseen person or other creature. As soon as they rounded the corner and saw Elsa, Pain called again to whoever or whatever was not visible. Elsa could see them at the end of the hallway whispering to themselves and appearing to be looking for something. Pain then pulled an object from seemingly nowhere and showed it to his partner. They both nodded and appeared to be chuckling. Elsa immediately became even more worried, for she knew those two were up to no good, especially after she had gotten an unpleasant visit from them and their employer earlier. She shuddered at the thought of what had happened earlier. Hades had almost barbequed her because she had once again refused Hades's offer for her to join the villains, and created a wind that she thought was going to knock him out and allow her to escape. Unfortunately, both the god and her imprisonment were both stronger than her, although she still didn't know how that was possible. Then, to make matters worse, a new villain that Elsa didn't recognize had come and introduced himself to her. He was not that much nicer than Hades, in fact he was much more terrifying, even though he just wanted to "check on things" as he had put it.
At the moment, the imps disappeared around the corner. About a minute later, they returned, Panic carrying what looked to Elsa like a plate or a bowl. They then began heading her way. Elsa immediately stood, ready to attack if necessary. As they got closer, Elsa noticed that they both had big, cheesy grins on their faces. This was further proof to Elsa that something was not right. The two then, to Elsa's shock, managed to step right through the electricity.
"How did-" began Elsa, but then stopped. She knew that even if she did ask the imps how they got through, they probably wouldn't tell her. Instead, she looked at the two, sternly but calmly, waiting to receive whatever torment or torture they had in store for her next. But, instead of attacking her, the imps simply continued to smile at her.
Panic then offered the bowl to Elsa, still smiling.
"We thought you might be thirsty," said Pain, giving her a look that was similar to the one Olaf would give her when he expected something. She studied the two for any look of mischief or malice. To her surprise, they looked like they actually wanted to help her. So, she took the bowl, still a bit suspicious. Why would they all of a sudden act nice towards her? Elsa pretended to not be worried about it, though, and smiled sincerely at the two. "Thank you," she said as she took the bowl. The imps stood there, still smiling.
"Is that all," she asked as if they were one of her servants back at the castle.
"Aren't you going to drink it," asked Panic.
"Eventually, yes, but not right now," said Elsa.
"You must be really thirsty after being locked in here for so long," said Pain.
"Not really," said Elsa. This was true, for her ice powers fortunately kept her from dehydrating.
The two continued to stand there, much to Elsa's annoyance.
"You two aren't going to leave until I take a sip, are you?" The two shook their heads.
"We want to make sure you like the water," said Panic, continuing to smile expectantly.
"Okay," said Elsa slowly. She wasn't sure what they meant by "like," since water pretty much tasted the same to her no matter where she was. But, to please the imps, she took a sip from the bowl.
"Well," asked Pain.
"Do you feel better," asked Panic.
"Actually, yes. I do feel better," said Elsa. That was only half true, for she felt a little tired. But, she dismissed it, seeing it as a sign of exertion from the day's events.
"Good," said Pain. The two then headed out of the imprisonment, but not before giving one last smile to Elsa.
"We'll be back," they both said. They then disappeared from sight, something Elsa was still startled by. She wasn't used to people appearing and disappearing out of nowhere like Hades and his minions did. She then began to feel lightheaded, similar to how she felt earlier before the villains had imprisoned her. She then once again collapsed to the floor and collapsed.
About an hour earlier, the rescue party had entered the opening, only to be met with darkness, which was strange even to Phil and Hercules. Usually, the entrance to the Underworld was dimly lit with eerily glowing green torches and a staircase led to the actual Underworld. But, neither of these were to be found. All of a sudden, Hercules heard a thump and what sounded like someone groaning in pain. Hercules quietly signaled for everyone to stop. Just as he was about to investigate the noises, he heard a bunch of people shouting and what sounded like swords being taken out. Just as Hercules reached for his, he felt something hit his head and everything went black.
Kristoff groaned and opened his eyes, confused and a little shocked and scared to see that he was in what looked like a prison cell, only this one was made of some kind of dark stone. He heard groaning and turned to see Stitch rubbing his head and beginning to stand up. He then heard another groan and turned to his other side to see Olaf doing the same thing.
"Where are w-" began Olaf. He stopped and became panicked when he saw something behind Kristoff.
Olaf gasped in fear and worry and exclaimed, "Elsa!" Immediately, Kristoff and Stitch rushed over to where the ice queen was groaning and looking as if she had just woken up as well. Kristoff and Olaf helped Elsa sit up. As soon as she did so, Elsa immediately came to her senses.
"Kristoff? Olaf," she asked. They both gave her weak smiles.
"Where's Anna," she panicked, immediately worried about her sister.
"We don't know," said Kristoff. Elsa looked at him, shocked and confused. Kristoff explained about the different groups and what their jobs were.
"But don't worry," Olaf said, placing a hand on Elsa encouragingly. "I'm sure she's safe with the others." He smiled at her reassuringly.
"I hope you're right, Olaf," said Elsa, still worried. After a few minutes of silence, Stitch approached Elsa and cleared his throat. Elsa turned towards him, startled at his appearance.
"Don't worry, he's nice," said Olaf. Elsa sighed with relief. She then turned towards Stitch and said hello, and he did the same.
"Me Stitch," said Stitch, introducing himself and holding out his left hand for a handshake. Elsa took his hand and said, "I'm Elsa." There was a pause. Then, she asked Stitch, "Are you a part of the group that was supposed to rescue me?" Stitch nodded and said, "Ih."
Elsa smiled at him and said, "Thank you. Sorry it had to turn out like this."
"It's okay," answered Stitch. Elsa's thoughts then turned toward Anna, and she hoped that her sister was all right. She then looked around at her cellmates, feeling horrible for putting them in this position. If she hadn't left the other princesses, this wouldn't have happened. If only she didn't fall for the villains stupid traps, not once, but twice, and both within a few hours of each other. Elsa brought her knees to her stomach, buried her face in her hands, and began to cry.
"Elsa," she heard Olaf ask. Elsa kept crying, ignoring the snowman who was obviously trying to comfort her. She knew he was just trying to help her, but no matter how much he may have tried to comfort her, she wouldn't stop thinking and feeling the way she was thinking and feeling at the moment.
"How could I have let this happen," asked Elsa, mostly to herself. "Once again, I have managed to put so many in danger. Not only that, but I've put my sister in possible danger again!" She sobbed even harder at this. "I promised her I'd be there for her, no matter what. She's going to think I abandoned her if she gets hurt." She sobbed again and then said, "I'm such a terrible sister for letting this happen. And not only that, who knows how many others are in danger because of me? Maybe the villains are right. Maybe I do belong on their side." Elsa continued to sob as Olaf stroked her arm, trying to comfort her. Elsa would normally find this creepy, but she didn't care. She felt a coarse but warm hand link with her own, and she knew that Kristoff was holding her hand. But, she paid him no mind. All she cared about at the moment was the well-being and safety of Anna as well as that of whoever was with her and those that had come to save her.
"Elsa not bad," she heard Stitch say. She looked up at the blue alien, who was now seated in front of her, surprised. She had expected Olaf or even Kristoff to say that, but not this creature who barely knew her.
"Elsa not built to destroy," he continued. By now, Elsa had stopped crying and looked at Stitch curiously, although a range of emotions were still swirling around in her head.
"Elsa is good. Elsa is just mis…miss," Stitch struggled on the last word, since he had trouble pronouncing more complex words in English, such as this one.
"Misunderstood," guessed Kristoff.
"Ih," said Stitch, not taking his eyes off of Elsa. Stitch walked up to Elsa and gave her a hug, to which Elsa awkwardly returned, surprised that the alien would do something like that. He reminded her a lot of Olaf, in a way. When they pulled away, Elsa looked at the alien, studying him for a moment. Then, she said to him, "These two must have told you a lot about me for you to come to that conclusion."
"Stitch knows," said Stitch. "Stitch felt same way."
"What do you mean," asked Elsa. Stitch then began to tell the story of how he was created, how he and Lilo had met and how he had learned about his true self. The other three listened intently to the alien, but especially Elsa, realizing that she had a lot in common with this creature, even though he seemed very different.
Author's note: Phew! Finally finished! Again, I apologize for the long wait, I appreciate your patience. Sadly, Olaf had to leave once Elsa had come and helped us clean up. He and Elsa had to go back to Arendelle. But, at least I've now written another chapter, thanks partially to the adorable snowman we all love. Sorry if some of the characters appear randomly, but some of them were requested and I tried to fit them in the best I could. Also, if any characters are out of character, I'm sorry for that, too. On a happy note, while I was away, I got Frozen on DVD for my birthday, which I'm super excited about, especially since it was from my parents, and they usually don't get me stuff like that. Now I can officially see Anna, Elsa and the gang whenever I want without having to either pay to watch it on pay per view, rent it, or watch it online! :D Please remember to leave a review with constructive criticism. Thank you all once again for staying with the story even with the long waits for the updates!
Until next time fellow Disney fans!
