Chapter 2

I imagine the flashback is quite boring. But, I promise there will be more nalu moments to come.

Gray's flashback will end quickly.. I assure you guys.

She thought for a moment, with still flaring red glowing eyes.

"I still need souls to survive on." She gazed into my eyes, and as if a thought suddenly clicked in her mind, she smiled, "You'll make a great demon..." She whispered huskily in my ear.

"W-What?" Did I want to be one of the race that killed by parents? "No! L-Let go of me!"

"No..." She licked my neck, "You'll be a demon, in exchange for your human life." She proceeded a painful process of turning me, whilst at the same time devouring my human soul. Soon, my mind was blank and, dare I say, I was in thirst and hunger.

Flashback End

Lucy's POV

"And so from the female, he is who he is now." He looked off into the distance, "Still, you're quite feisty today. I can't believe you would force me to tell you." He grinned.

I gave a small laugh, thinking how pitiful Gray is. It almost regards me of Natsu and I, our current self that is. Our parents, they who cared so much for us. They aren't on this world anymore, a tragic topic that Natsu and I rarely bring up.

Aside that, I wanted to comfort Gray, as throughout the time-line of the Royal Promise I made to my significant other, he was a friend we were able to trust.

I should say something supportive to him. I was the one who itched to bring this up, so should the same person end it.

I turned to the side. But he wasn't there. Strange. A butler not next to his Lord. I turned back to Natsu to question him on Gray's whereabouts.

"Natsu, where's Gray?"

"He's probably inside the mansion somewhere, doing his job along with Lisanna. In fact, maybe he's helping her at this moment." He said calmly, "Why do you ask?"

"As I was the one to bring up a heart wrenching topic for him. I merely wanted to say something comforting."

"I see."

"Anyway..." I shifted uncontrollably on my spot, twirling my hair from time to time.

Noticing my abnormal behavior and actions followed by a slight blush, he smiled and pulled me closer to him.

"Are you quietly swooning over my handsomeness?" He whispered in my ear.

"What?" The temperature in my cheeks rose. His black onyx orbs were drilling into mine, trapped in them were love and lust.

"Besides me..." He eyed me up and down, "You're quite beautiful today, almost breathtaking."

He slid his arm down my spine leaving his warmth trailing down to be hit my the cold breeze immediately afterward. He pulled me closer to him so suddenly causing a small squeal to leave my mouth.

He lifted his other hand to my lips and with a thumb, he gently touched them. Leaving them with a burning sensation after he left them.

He drew closer leaving us only a hair's breath away from each other. I closed my eyes. It was like a predator to prey. So close and so intense.

He kissed me passionately. The taste of Natsu was driving me insane as if he himself was a drug that only I consumed. I was having an overdose of him.

"*cough* My lord?" Gray's voice interrupted.

We quickly broke the kiss and jumped away from each other. Natsu, facing the other direction was too embarrassed to speak. He left me no choice but to leave the rest to myself.

I turned around to talk to Gray, alongside him was Lisanna. She giggled as she saw my blush.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing serious, you two were... taking your time outside, so we thought we'll come and bring both of you inside." Gray smirked.

"I doubt that's what you thought..." I muttered under my breath. I looked at Natsu, "Well then, Natsu? Shall we get going?"

He turned around shyly. A blush still coated his cheeks, "Uh, yea." He said awkwardly.

As we entered our room. A thought continued to haunt me. So Gray's a demon, and he can live as long as he wants to. Where as we mere humans. We only get this lifespan of possibly over 90 years. Who knows how long Gray has lived for.

What if... Natsu and I were to be turned into a being like him. We could watch the world grow together and enter new eras together. We could witness planet earth grow. It bothers me so much. But then again, the price that we have to pay for it.

Our human soul. Consisted of our emotions and such. Of course Gray does have the aspects like a human too. But, being turned to a demon in exchange for our human soul basically says it all, that we are to die, our human remains dead. The dead remain the dead... Never again do we get a chance to experience the human world as a, human.

"Lucy?" Natsu asked strangely.

I snapped out of my thoughts and smiled warmly at him, "Yes? What's wrong?"

He chuckled softly, "You were day-dreaming again." He smiled, "What were you thinking about?" He lied down on the bed.

I smiled at the cuteness of his curiosity and sat down on my side of the bed, "Just something that's bothering me."

"And?" He shifted closer to me, "What was that something?"

I giggled, "You're so nosy." and flicked his forehead.

"How dare you." He pouted, "For that, you'll receive your punishment."

He grabbed me by the arm and pulled backwards onto the bed. I moved so that my head was on the pillow. My wrist were pulled above my head and pinned down. He looked into my eyes. Without hesitation he hungrily devoured me, passionately kissing me. He broke the kiss.

"We didn't really get to continue what we were doing before, did we?" He whispered huskily in my ear, and dove in for another kiss.

(Feel free to imagine the continuation of what they're doing, I'm just feel that because I am still a brat I really don't know what to write.)

Hello anyways! How was this chapter? I did add nalu moments to make up for the boring flashback.
