Chapter 9 ~ The Last Entry
Many days later . . .
"Are you sure Bulla? I really think we should join you." Trunks followed his younger sister.
Bulla smiled, "I'm very sure Trunks, I'll be fine, it's just a funeral."
Trunks crossed his arms, "Mom wouldn't allow this, she requested before her death that I stay by your side."
Bulla sighed, "Trunks, I'm not a little girl anymore. Face it. I'm now beginning to become an adult. I am in that time that I can take care of myself."
"But Bulla . . . !" Trunks sighed.
"Trunks, I'm a lady, not a girl."
Silence then hovered through the area, it was so silent that Bulla swore she could hear grasshoppers hopping about.
Trunks then broke the silence, "Fine, but just be careful."
Bulla smiled and hugged her brother, "Thank you Trunks! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
Trunks smiled as Bulla ran off, their hands waving goodbye towards each other.
Trunks' smile then disappeared, his hand going down, "Please, be safe."
Trunks sighed again.
"Hey! Trunks!" A voice yelled from inside the bakery, "We have customers!"
Trunks gasped and began to barge into the bakery through the back door.
"Sorry! I got carried away!" he laughed nervously as the 2 other Z Fighters looked up at him.
"Sorry isn't going to fix the money we might loose, now get to work!" Gohan frowned as he put the sweet bread up for display, more customers coming in.
Goku marched to them, welcoming them as Trunks slipped his Capsule Corp. jacket off, his biceps and deltoids sparkling in the sun's rays as he began to work on the dough. Sprinkling flour and water on the ball over and over again until it got to a reasonable size as his muscles flexed over and over again, giving them a good workout.
"Bulla, I really hope you'll be ok." Trunks worried as he worked, the girls in the bakery steaming up as they watched in awe.
Goku shook his head and smiled, "Hey Gohan, let's take off the top part of our gi's!"
Gohan stared as his dad for a while, a 'What? Are you crazy?' expression on his face.
Goku chuckled as he began to take off his orange shirt, then ripping off the sleeves of the blue shirt beneath. he then stared at himself.
"Ah, what do you know? I look like a sexy ass like this!"
He then looked over at his son, "What do you think Gohan?"
"D-Dad . . !" Gohan shook his head as he sighed and went back to work.
"He's gone cray . . . !" Gohan thought.
"Yaten, chill your legs, you're walking too fast!" Taiki sighed as he followed his fast brother, the other Senshi keeping up close behind.
"Do you think I will?" Yaten spilled out stubbornly.
"Ugh, you just never change!"
Hours then passed, the funeral coming to a close as Bulla approached Seiya's coffin, tears running down her cheeks.
Yaten looked confused, why would an awkward girl be attending in Seiya's funeral?
Curious and furious at the same time, he approached Bulla.
"Who must you be?"
Bulla looked up at Yaten, "I'm Seiya's girl."
"Seiya's girl?"
"Yes, I was there when he died."
Yaten's eyes widened, his hand forming into a fist, "You . . . IT'S YOU!" Yaten yelled.
Bulla's eyes widened.
"It was you who was responsible for Seiya's death!" Yaten screamed.
The other Senshi looked over to see what was happening.
"N-No! It wasn't me! It wasn't me!" Bulla wailed.
"You can't deny it! Because of you, our family is grieving!"
"N-No!"
"Yes!"
"No!" Bulla then ran out of the funeral house.
"Wait!" A white haired servant ran after Bulla.
Bulla didn't stop, she continued to run, her high heels clicking rapidly.
"The story is over now . . . !" A figure approached from the shadows.
Bulla stopped in her tracks, the feminine maid looking over, "What's going on? Who's that?!"
"The . . . END!"
"What's taking her so long? It's been 7 hours!" Goku worried.
"Yeah . . . " Gohan sighed.
"I knew I should've gone with her!" Trunks' fist hit the table.
"Bro, calm down, you'll see that she'll be back in no time and in perfect conditions."
The Z Fighters then sat down calmly for another 20 minutes, nothing coming from their back doors, just the chilly wind of the night.
"Where could she be?!" Trunks sighed as there was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it!" Trunks ran over to the front doors of the bakery with a smile as he opened the doors, "Bulla! You're bac-!"
Trunks' sentence got cut short as he saw police standing before him.
"What's going on?" he asked.
"Trunks Briefs?" one of the officers asked.
"Yes, that's me."
"I'm sorry to tell you this, but, we saw a corpse lying near a lagoon not far from here, she was recognized as Bulla Briefs."
"Is she ok?!" Trunks asked, the other fighters approaching the doorway.
The other police officer sighed, "I'm sorry Trunks, your sister has passed away."
Trunks gasped as he felt a crack in his heart, his lungs feeling out of air, like if he just finished swallowing a large pill.
"No . . . NO! NO! NO! NO! NOOO!" Trunks cried as the other fighters tried to calm him down.
"She needs me! I have to go now!" Trunks began to run off, but Goku grabbed his shoulder and pressured him down.
"Trunks, calm down."
"No! No! NOO!" Trunks cried, "It's my fault, it's my fault! I knew I should've gone with her!"
Gohan hugged Trunks, "Bro, calm down, she's in a better place now."
Trunks sobbed loudly, "BULLA!"
