Boston's Dark Knight: Volume II: Chapter Six

"Maura!" A voice echoed across the room. The blonde haired woman looked up to see a dark figure, coated in black clothing and armour. It took a while for Maura's brain to catch up with what she was seeing. Jane?! Her eyes widened at the realisation.

"Maura?! What's going on? What's that noise?" Frost's voice echoed out from the phone. "Barry I'm fine! J- There's someone here!"

"Oh thank god," an audible sigh of relief travelled through the phone.

"Barry, don't worry, the police are on their way, just-"

"Maura! We don't have time for this! Come on!" The dark figure shouted, dragging Maura behind her as they ran towards the door.

The sound of beeping started to commence as the two ran out of the building… an then everything when a bright red.

Cavanaugh let out a sigh of relief as his two of his man dragged Barrold Frost out of the building, but a loud beep caught everyone's attention and the team was sent flying off of their feet. Cavanaugh tried to sit up as quickly as possible as he heard the painful screaming of a man, looking up he saw in horror as the left side of Frost's face started to burn away like a candle made of solid petrol.

"Get a medic!" He screamed around, running towards Frost. Trying frantically to put the fire out while rolling Frost over.

The fire looked like it would never be put out until fire men arrived.

Being pushed away by the fire fighter's, Cavanaugh could only watch in horror.

"Jane?! When did you get back? Where's Frost? What's –"

"Maura, there isn't enough time to explain. You. Are. Not. Safe. You need to lay low." Jane said with such a force.

"But what about-"

"I don't know what condition Frost is in, but I need you to remain hidden. Get out of Boston, do you understand?!" Jane shouted at Maura. Only to receive a look of horror in Maura's eyes.

"What are you?!" Maura exclaimed, slowly backing away. "I don't…. I don't know you anymore!"

"Maura…" Jane breathed out, only to see the back of Maura's dress as she ran away.

Shit.
