I still remember the first time like it was just yesterday even though that was over three years ago. But since it was a moment that would eventually shape the next several years the memory is constantly coming to the forefront of my mind. It was when I had first joined the FBI and the BAU had a case across the country. As we boarded the jet I felt the butterflies in my stomach settle into place.

Had I flown before? Well yes I had. But those first few times had been absolutely horrible. Everything that could have gone wrong did and that always stuck with me...especially since I had an eidetic memory. At this moment every recollection that I had that pertained to this came flooding back. But still I took my seat without so much as a squeak and waited patiently for the briefing to start.

Take off started and I immediately felt my stomach drop. That feeling that usually accompanied the losing of one's breakfast floated inside and for an instant I thought that I was going to embarrass myself. My face contorted into what I could only guess was not a pleasant expression. Just as my hands clenched into fist and I had the urge to bolt out of my seat I felt a hand cover mine.

I blinked my eyes open and once they adjusted I noticed that it was the hand of the one and only Derek Morgan. I slowly looked up to meet his eyes with the expectation of seeing a look of mockery or pity. That, however, was not the case. What I saw made my breathe catch in my lungs. There was a lazy grin spread across his face and something dancing in his eyes that couldn't quite put into words. It was at that moment that I noticed his very handsome features. His beautiful bone structure and the brown of his eyes. The lazy smile that currently covered his face. Then he spoke and the deep timbre of his voice made me shiver.

"It's cool Pretty Boy. You will be fine."

"What makes you so sure?" I winced at the shakiness of my voice.

"Because I'm here and I'm not going to let anything happen to you."

And sure enough he held true to his vow.

"Pretty Boy! I'm home!" I met Derek in the foyer and before he even had time to lock the door I had my lips on his. He responded immediately and only after we were both breathless did he pull back.

"Well, hello to you too handsome." That made me blush. "What was that for?"

I stalled for a moment before I finally answered his question. "Just my way of saying thanks and I love you."

"Well, I don't know what I did but you're welcome and I love you too."
