Here's the complete summary (make sure to read below after you are done):

Meet Kathleen Gilbert. She's Elena Gilbert's identical twin sister, with only her curly hair as a way to tell the two apart. Growing up, she was always in Elena's shadow, though with the sudden death of her parents, she changes. No longer is she in her twin's shadow, but instead she is a strong and independent woman, with a mask tightly tied around her face. Though when two mysterious brothers come to Mystic Falls, what will happen? Will she find love? Friendship? Enemies? Although with each come secrets, and with secrets come danger.

"Kathleen!" A voice yells at me. Groaning, I roll over to my side, in an attempt to ignore the voice. It doesn't work, as I am soon pulled out of my bed. Opening my eyes slowly, I see I'm on my bedroom's floor with my twin sister's brown eyes staring back down at me. Reaching over, I grab my pillow, and hit her in the face with it; "Leave me alone. I wanna sleep." Rather than respecting my wishes, Elena pulls me up; "We have school today. Besides, if you get up now, I'll let you take the first shower." That draws my attention as I grab a pair of clothing and run as fast as I can to the bathroom.

Once out of the shower, I change into my outfit; a pair of black skinny jeans, my purple blouse, a black cropped leather jacket, and lastly my black high heeled boots. Smiling in content at my outfit, I begin to brush out my naturally curly, dark brown hair. Parting it to the left, I then add some dark red lipstick to my lips.

"Are you almost done in there Kat?" My little brother asks me from outside the bathroom. Laughing, "Just about!" I yell back as I add the last bit of make-up to my brown eyes, and walk out the door. Jeremy's a cute lean, little boy with practically the same dark brown hair and eyes that Elena and I have. Today, he decided to wear a pair of dark jeans and a black hoodie; "Sorry for taking so long. I'm a girl after all." I say with a smirk, then walk out of the bathroom, and make my way downstairs.

Downstairs, I see our Aunt Jenna running around the kitchen. Jenna's been taking care of us ever sense our parents passed away in a car accident. Both Elena and I had been in the car accident too, but we both had somehow survived from some miracle. Though I feel bad for her, it must be hard to take care of three teenagers. "Then go. We'll be fine." Elena says as I see Jeremy come into the room after me, "You okay?" I ask him. Glaring at me for a second, "Don't start."

Sighing, I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. Pulling it out, I see I have a new text from my friend Caroline. Opening it: Hey! Do you still need a ride to school? Smiling, I text her back: That would be awesome. Thanks! When will you be here? Almost on cue, I hear the sound of a car horn outside. Quickly, I grab my lunch, and place it in my back-bag. Then grab my to go coffee mug and run out the door, "See ya at school!" I yell out at Elena, then make my way out the door.

Closing the door behind me, I turn to look ahead at Caroline's car. Smiling at her, I'm about to walk over to her, but am stopped. Looking to my side, I see a large, black crow. It squawks at me, then flies away. Confused, I walk over to Caroline, and hop into the passenger seat.

Looking out the window, I notice the crow has flown back to my house, but it's now sitting on my window seal. It's beady black eyes stare at me as the jerking of the car brings me back to reality. "You okay?" Caroline asks me as she drives. Turning to her, I see she's talking about my parents. Ever sense our parents passed away, I've changed a lot. I used to be very shy and would always walk in Elena's shadow. Now, I have changed into what most people would probably describe as a bad girl. I was more sarcastic, and no longer afraid to speak my mind. Nor was I afraid of what people thought of me, as I used to be quite insecure.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I respond to Caroline's question as I turn and watch everything outside the window, as we pull up to the school. Parking, Caroline instantly runs into the school, while I make my way slowly. Walking into Mystic Falls High School, I find myself knocking into someone almost instantly. This causes my sketch book, and book-bag to fall to ground, as the person quickly helps me pick it all up; "Sorry, I wasn't paying attention." Looking up, I see the unfamiliar man that was helping me out, he looks to be my age with a pair of dreamy, forest green eyes and dirty blonde hair. They look somewhat familiar, but I don't know why. "It's okay, I'm new. Should have paid closer attention." He says as we stand up and he hands me my sketch book back. Smiling at him, he was definitely hot, but not my type by any means. Personally, I was more into the bad boy type, while he seems to be the do good kind of boy, more like Elena's type; "It's okay, I'm Kathleen, Kathleen Gilbert." I introduce myself as I hold my free hand out, with the other one holding my sketch book to my chest. Shaking it, "Stefan, Stefan Salvatore." he introduces himself with a smile as I notice a cool looking ring on one of his fingers; "Do you know by any chance where the office is?" Nodding my head, "Yeah, come on."

Walking through the hallway, we eventually come to the outside of the office; "Here it is." "Thanks, hopefully we'll have some classes together, then I'll least know someone." Stefan tells me. Giving him a smile, "Of course. See you around!" with that, he walks into the office. Smiling, I walk over to Elena's locker, where I see my twin, Caroline, and Bonnie.

Caroline's hugging my twin; "How are you? Oh, it's so good to see you. How is she? Is she good?" Caroline asks in her rush-speak, Caroline way. Laughing to myself, "Caroline, I'm right here. And I'm fine. Thank you." Elena tells her. "Really?" "Yes. Much better." "Oh, you poor thing." With that, Caroline pulls her into a hug once more, then even pulls me into a hug. Pushing her away, "Okay, Caroline." I tell her. Looking to me, "Oh! Okay, see you guys later?" "Okay! Bye!" Bonnie says, and with that, Caroline's gone. "No comment." My twin and I say at the same time, then look to each other, and share a small laugh together; "I'm not going to say anything." With that, the three of us make our way towards our first class, but are stopped when we come to the outside of the school office.

"Hold up. Who's this?" Bonnie questions. Looking over, I see it's Stefan; "All I see is back." Elena responds. "It's a hot back." Laughing at Bonnie's comment, I block out their conversation, till Elena walks off; "Please be hot." Bonnie says to herself. At that moment, Stefan walks out of the office, and towards the two of us; "Hey, Kathleen." he says to me with a smile, then heads off to class.

Spinning around, Bonnie turns to me, "You know him?" "Sort of," I respond as she stares at me in a way that's begging for more information. "I saw him when I got here. I lead him to the office. Besides, you didn't ask." I state, smirking at the end. Rolling her eyes at me, we both make our way to our History class.

Walking into the classroom, I move towards the back. Sitting at my desk, I place my bag on the floor, and sit down, placing my feet on the desk. Elena walks into the room as she sits down in the seat next to me. Noticing my feet on the table, "Put those down." she states to me in her strict, motherly tone. Turning to her through the corner of my eyes, I move my feet to the floor just as Mr. Tanner walks into the classroom, who's followed by Stefan. Looking to me, he smiles, then sees Elena, and sits down across from us in the only available seat.

Throughout the class, I don't pay attention all that much, but I notice Stefan looking at Elena a few times. As does she. I had a feeling they would hit it off, he just seemed like the guy she would date. At that, I'm reminded of Matt, Elena's old boyfriend. Mentally shaking my head, I hear the sound of the school bell ringing. Standing up, I make my way to my next class, though I was deeply dreading it.

Sitting with Elena, the two of us sit in the Mystic Falls Cemetery. It's here where our parents are buried, as well as a lot of other people from the town. Elena's writing in her diary, while I have my sketch pad out. With my pencil, I find myself drawling the crow I saw from earlier today. Finishing it up, I look up, and nearly knock into the grave behind me in shock. Those beady, black eyes staring at me.

The crow's sitting on our parent's grave; "That's not creepy at all." I state, my voice full of a sarcasm. Looking up, Elena sees the crow too. Standing up, Elena shoos the crows off, "Shoo!" Standing up myself, I watch as the crow flies off. Hands on my hips, "That's what I thought."

Suddenly, the crow reappears on the grave as some fog starts to ascend around the cemetery, and around the two of us. In shock, I turn to see what looks like, the silhouette of a man; "Elena. Run!" I yell at her. She turns to me for a quick second, her eyes don't even look at the man, but then runs.

My eyes don't leave the man, but soon, it disappears. Confused, I walk over to where I heard Elena run off to. Coming to her, "Really, it's nothing." she says. Confused myself, I watch as she turns back around, looking just as confused as I am; "Who are you talking to?" I ask my twin. Turning to me, "Stefan was here..." she trails off.

Fixing my hair, I run downstairs. My twin and I were going to the Grill to meet up with Bonnie. Elena's behind me as I pull on my jacket, "We're meeting Bonnie at the Grill." Elena shouts out into the house. Looking to us, "Okay, have fun. Wait, I got this. Don't stay out late, it's a school night." Aunt Jenna says. Laughing, I clap my hands slowly, "Well done, Aunt Jenna." my voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Wait! I forgot my jacket!" With that, Elena runs back upstairs. Laughing, I suddenly hear the doorbell ring. Confused, I walk over to the door, and open it. Outside is Stefan, "Oh. Hey, Stefan." I say with a smile. "Kathleen?" He questions. Laughing, "No. I'm, Elena." I say in a series tone. Confusion is clear on his face, so I just laugh once more, "No, I'm Kathleen." I tell him. Smiling at me, I turn my head towards the stairs, "Elena! Get down here! Your Prince Charming is here!" I yell up at her. "I'm coming!" With that, Elena runs down the stairs, pulling on her jacket, then sees Stefan. "I'll leave you guys to it." I say, resisting a smirk, then walk over to the kitchen, where Aunt Jenna is.

"Who's he?" Aunt Jenna asks me as I sit on top of the kitchen's countertop. "New guy at school. Stefan Salvatore. Hottie, but not my type. Though easily Elena's." I sum up for her in a fast-paced tone, as I play with my ring on my finger. It's all silver, but surrounds a blue stone in the middle. It was my last birthday gift from my parents before they passed away. Now, I always wear it; "Kat!" Elena's voice calls out from the doorway. Pushing myself off the countertop, I walk back over to the doorway.

Elena and Stefan are still there, though I note that Stefan's still not inside; "Yeah, Lena?" "Stefan wanted to come with us to the Grill. I just wanted to know if that is okay with you?" Elena says. Looking to Stefan, I cross my hands around my chest, "I'm not sure..." I drag out. Then, I drop my hands, seeing they think I'm series, "Yeah, I don't mind. The more the merrier." I say with a smile. With that, the three of us make our way to the Grill.

Walking into the Grill, I notice Matt walking over to us; "Mr. Jealous one o'clock." I whisper to Elena. She returns my comment with a slight punch in the elbow, just as he walks over to us; "Hey, I'm Matt, nice to meet you." "Hi. Stefan." Turning to Elena, we both give him an awkward 'hey.' "Hey." He responds, though it's more to Elena then myself. Looking over, I see Caroline and Bonnie. Grabbing my twin's arm, I lead her over to our friends, as Stefan walks behind us.

The five of us sit at one of the tables. To my right is Elena, then Stefan, Bonnie, Caroline, and me. Drinking from my cup of coffee, "So, you were born in Mystic Falls?" Caroline asks Stefan. "Mm-Hmm. And moved when I was still young." "Parents?" Bonnie asks. "My parents passed away." Looking to Elena for a second, I put my mug down, "I'm sorry." I say, knowing that whatever comfort people gave you, time was the only thing that helps as I look down my ring; "Any siblings?" Elena continues. "None that I talk to. I live with my uncle."

"So, Stefan, if you're new, then you don't know about the party tomorrow." Caroline says, easing the awkwardness. He looks confused, "It's a back to school thing at the Falls." I explain to him. Giving me a slight smile, he looks to Elena, "Are you going?" Before my twin can say anything, Bonnie buts in, "Of course she is." Giving Bonnie my approving smile, I notice my twin looks nervous, not knowing what to say. All the while, Stefan just looks to her.

Sitting in History class the next day, I catch myself doodling in my sketchbook once more. Without realizing it, I realize I'm drawling the crow again. I saw it again last night, just before I went to bed. Attempting to clear my mind, I close my sketchbook, and decide to pay attention to our teacher, Mr. Tanner, as he lectures; "The Battle of Willow Creek took place right at the end of the war in our very own Mystic Falls. How many casualties resulted in this battle? Ms. Bennett?"

Clearly not knowing, "Um... a lot? I'm not sure. Like a whole lot." Laughing quietly to myself, but Mr. Tanner doesn't find it funny in the slightest; "Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Ms. Bennett." Then, "Mr. Donovan? Would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your embedded jock stereotype?" "It's okay, Mr. Tanner, I'm cool with it." again, I laugh to myself, but Mr. Tanner looks to my twin. "Hmm. Elena? Surely you can enlighten us about one of the town's most significantly historical events?" Like me, she doesn't know, "I'm sorry, I-I don't know." "I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, Elena." Looking to me, "The same goes for you, Miss Kathleen." rolling my eyes in response, "But the personal excuses ended with summer break."

I'm left shocked. Mr. Tanner had no right to do this to us. I wanted nothing more than to snap back at him, but I'm stopped by an unlikely source. "There were three hundred forty-six casualties. Unless you're counting local civilians." Stefan's voice rings out. Silently, I thank him as I look over to him. "That's correct. Mister. . .?" "Salvatore." "Salvatore. Any relation to the original settlers here at Mystic Falls?" "Distant." "Well, very good. Except, of course, there were no civilian casualties in this battle." With that, Mr. Tanner begins to walk away, but Stefan stops him in his tracks; "Actually, there were twenty-seven, sir. Confederate soldiers, they fired on the church, believing it to be housing weapons. They were wrong. It was a night of great loss. The founder's archives are, uh, stored in civil hall if you'd like to brush up on your facts. Mr. Tanner." I'm about to crack up laughing at Stefan's comment, but somehow manage to just barely form a smile across my face. "Hmm."

That night, Elena and I went to the party at the Falls. Standing next to the bonfire with Bonnie and my twin; "Just admit it, Elena." I tell my twin. Rolling her eyes in defeat, "Oh, okay, so he's a little pretty." she finally admits. "Ha!" I yell out, then take the last sip out of my bottle; "He has that romance novel stare." Bonnie states, to which I laugh at, though she couldn't be more right.

"So where is he?" I ask my twin with a smirk, still holding my empty bottle. "I don't know." Looking to Bonnie, "You tell me, you're the psychic one." Elena had told about her conversation with Bonnie, and honestly, I thought it was crazy, but didn't say anything against it. "Right, I forgot. Ok, so give me a sec. Grams says I have to concentrate." "Wait, you need a crystal ball." I say in a series, but joking tone as I give her my empty bottle.

Bonnie takes it from me, touching my hand in the exchange. She spaces out for a while, scaring me, but then comes back to her senses, and abruptly pulls her hand back from me. "What?" Elena asks, beating me to the question. With her eyes still on me, "That was weird. When I touched you, I saw a crow." Fear spreads through me, nobody knew about that crow, besides me, and somewhat Elena; "What?" I ask, beating my twin to the question. "A crow. There was fog, a man." Still scared, but Bonnie acts like her normal self all of sudden, "I've had too much to drink. It's the drinking. There's nothing psychic about it. Yeah? Okay, I'm gonna get a refill." with that, Bonnie leaves us. Confused, I turn to my twin, "I'll go see what that's about. You go find your Prince Charming." Then, before she can stop me, I walk in the direction Bonnie went.

Coming over to her, I see she's near the gazebo, attempting to calm down. Throwing my bottle away, I walk over to her; "Bonnie?" Moving her head up, her olive green eyes pierce into my chocolate brown ones. Before I can say anything else, she runs off. I'm about to chase after her, but am stopped by Matt; "Hey, Kat. Have you seen Vicki?" Shaking my head, "No, I haven't. Sorry." With that, I walk back over to the bonfire.

A few moments go by, and my twin comes over to me, but no Stefan; "Where's your Prince?" I ask her. Shrugging her shoulders, "I don't know. One minute we're talking, the next, he's gone." she explains. Nodding my head, I then look over and see him with Caroline. Pointing him out, "Does that answer your question?" I ask. Turning, she sees him, and he sees us, as he approaches the two of us.

"I was wondering who abducted you, but now I know." Elena tells him, hinting at Caroline. Laughing at her joke, Stefan asks, "Is she like that with, uh, all the guys?" Laughing again, "No. You're just fresh meat. She'll back off eventually." I tell him, as I hear my twin, "Hmm. You gotta be kidding me!" Rolling my eyes, "What is it now?" I ask her as Stefan asks at the same time, "What is it?", then I turn to see Jeremy; "Our brother." I answer my question and Stefan's. I don't hear what Stefan says, but Elena responds, "That would be the one. Excuse us." Looking to me, my twin and I make our way after him; "Need some help?" Stefan asks us. Turning to him, "Trust, you are not going to want to witness this." I tell him as Elena begins calling after our brother, and I follow her into the dark forest.

"Jeremy, where do you think you are you going?" I question yell at him. "I don't want to hear it!" He responds back to me. "Yeah, well, too bad!" I snap right back as I see him trip over something. Running over to him, I'm shocked to see Vicki's body. It looks as if she's been attacked by some wild animal. Thinking fast, I look to my siblings, "Okay. Jeremy, you carry her. Elena, hold your hand on that wound to try to stop the bleeding. I'll go on ahead." None of them disagree, guess it's cause I'm technically the oldest, well, not really, Elena's older by a minute or so, but don't tell her that. Though they do as I tell them to, and I begin to make my way back to party, with my siblings close behind me.

"Somebody help! Please!" I yell out. People turn to me as I emerge from the forest in confusion, then I hear my siblings, and move to the side, allowing them to move Vicki out of the forest. So many voices at once, I block them out, as we lead her to a picnic table. "Somebody, call an ambulance!" Matt, her brother, yells out. Without a second thought, I grab my phone from my pocket, and hand to Elena. She dials the number, talks for a few moments, then passes it back to me, as we try to do whatever we can to help Vicki.

3rd Person POV

Stefan's now at the Salvatore Boarding House, as he enters his bedroom. The crow, from before, appears out of nowhere, and flies into his room. Not a moment goes by as he turns to the balcony, "Damon." On the balcony, wearing a leather jacket and a smirk-like smile, "Hello, brother."

"Crow's a bit much, don't you think?" Stefan asks him as they talk; "Wait till you see what I can do with the fog." The crow continues to squawk; "When'd you get here?" It's quite clear Stefan's not happy about Damon being in Mystic Falls; "Well, I couldn't miss your first day at school." Looking at Stefan's bookcase, "Your hair's different." turning back to his brother, "I like it." "It's been fifteen years, Damon." Moving his attention fully to his brother, "Thank God. I couldn't take another day of the nineties. That horrible grunge look? Did not suit you. Remember, Stefan, it's important to stay away from fads." as he says all this, he moves around the room.

"Why are you here?" Stefan asks, not a second later. Looking to his brother again, "I miss my little brother." "You hate small towns. It's boring. There's nothing for you to do." Stefan responds quickly. "I've managed to keep myself busy." Damon says with a smirk, still walking around the room. "You know, you left that girl alive tonight. That's very clumsy of you. " Gritting his white teeth, "Ah. That can be a problem..." then wears a straight face, "For you." he looks as if he's about to smirk.

Shaking his head, "Why are you here now?" Stefan asks him again. Wearing a bad boy smirk, he walks closer to his brother; "I could ask you the same question. However, I'm fairly certain your answer can be summed up all into one little word... Elena. But let's not forget about the other little word you might be looking for... Kathleen."

Kathleen's POV

Still at the party, Elena and I watch as the ambulance drives off with Vicki and Matt. The police cars' red and blue lights blink in the dark night, while the animal control van also drives away. "Hey." A sudden voice says. Turning, I see it's Bonnie, and she looks so much better than earlier; "We're gonna go to Mainline Coffee, wait for news." Nodding our heads, "We gotta take Jeremy home." Elena says quickly as we both look over at our baby brother. "Kat," Looking back at Bonnie, "There's no way I'm psychic. I know that. But whatever I saw, or I think I saw, I have this feeling..."

Now scared, I find myself shaking my head slightly. "Bonnie, what?" Opening her mouth, she then closes it, as if trying to find the right words. Elena turns as Bonnie finally speaks, "That it's just the beginning."

3rd Person POV

The two brothers are still in Stefan's bedroom as they continue talking about Kathleen. "She took my breath away. Kathleen. She's a dead ringer for Katherine." Looking to his brother, "She's not Katherine." Stefan says each word slowly. "Well, let's hope not. We both know how that ended." Damon responds, then decides to mess with him and Elena; "Tell me something, when's the last time you had something stronger than a squirrel?" "I know what you're doing, Damon. It's not gonna work." "Yeah? Come on. Don't you crave a little?" Damon starts to hit Stefan, "Stop it." Stefan says back. "Let's do it. Together. I saw a couple girls out there. Or just, let's just cut to the chase, you just go straight for Elena. As for me, I'll go for Kathleen." "Stop it!" Stefan yells back. "Imagine what their blood tastes like!" Damon yells out too.

This causes Stefan's face to transform. Fangs form in his mouth, while veins form under his eyes, and his eyes almost red. "I can." Damon responds. "I said stop!" With that, Stefan runs into Damon, throwing him out of the window, and breaking the glass window in the process.

When he lands on the pavement, Damon is no longer there with him. Pulling himself up, he looks for Damon, who now sits on a hedge; "I was impressed." he says as Stefan begins to get up from his position. "I give it a six. Missing style, but I was pleasantly surprised." Then, "Very good with the whole face - thing. It was good." he adds as he imitates Stefan's own face and laughs.

Walking towards his older brother, "You know, it's all fun and games, Damon, huh? But wherever you go, people die." Shrugging his shoulders, "That's a given." "Not here. I won't allow it." Stefan says back as Damon hops of the hedge, and begins to walk towards him; "I take that as an invitation." "Damon, please. After all these years, can't we just give it a rest?" "I promised you an eternity of misery, so I'm just keeping my word." "Just stay away from Elena and Kathleen."

Deciding to joke around, "Where's your ring?" Damon asks. Looking down, Stefan realizes it's gone, as Damon continues, "Oh, yeah, sun's coming up in a couple of hours, and, poof, ashes to ashes." Laughing at his brother's worry, "Relax. It's right here." Damon shows him his ring, which is in his palm.

Taking it slowly, Stefan puts it on. Suddenly, Damon grabs Stefan by the throat. His fangs and veins in pure view, as his blue eyes almost look silver. Then, he throws Stefan against the garage. He falls to the ground as Damon is now next to him. In a stern tone, "You should know better than to think you're stronger than me. You lost that fight when you stopped feeding on people. I wouldn't try it again." Stopping, he listens to something, then smiles, "I think we woke Zach up." With that, he walks towards the Boarding House, "Sorry, Zach." then whistles all the way, as Stefan lets off groans of pain.

Kathleen's POV

At the party, I stand with Jeremy, who's drinking from a bottle, as Elena walks over to us. Putting her hand on his shoulder, "You okay?" he just shrugs off her hand in response. "I called Jenna, she's on her way." Jeremy's obviously sad, but doesn't know what to say, so he keeps drinking his drink; "Those people in uniforms, last time I checked, they're the police." I say in an attempt to stop him from drinking, it doesn't really work. Instead, he just chugs down the rest of his drink, then throws it behind us.

"People are going to stop giving you breaks, Jer. They just don't care anymore. They don't remember that our parents are dead, because they've got their own lives to deal with." Elena continues on, but I finish her train of thought before she can continue. "The rest of the world has moved on. You should try, too." "I've seen you two in the cemetery, writing in your diary and drawling in your sketch pad. Is that- is that supposed to be you guys moving on?" He asks us.

Pinching my lips together, I hold my tears within. Looking to Jeremy, he looks the same way, as does Elena. Grabbing both of their hands, I open my mouth; "Mom and Dad wouldn't have wanted this." They get the message as we remain quiet, waiting for Jenna to come and take us home.

Sitting in the living room, I draw in my sketch pad. Again, I'm drawling the crow, but I go into details with it. Even the beady black eyes. The eyes that scared me the most, it just made me feel as if I'm being watched by someone. Shaking my head at that thought, how crazy was that?

Finishing up the sketch, I hear Elena walk down the stairs. She doesn't even acknowledge me, just walks over to the door, even though I haven't heard the doorbell or even a small knock in the entirety of tonight. Opening it, "I know it's late. But, uh... I needed to know that you guys were okay." Stefan's familiar voice speaks from outside the door. Standing up from the couch, I walk over to the doorway, where Stefan stands.

Relief seems to flood through his eyes, as if he thought one of us would have gotten seriously hurt. Giving him my fake, but still convincing smile, "You know, for months, that's all anyone's wondered about me. If I'll be okay." Elena turns to me slightly as she squeezes my hand in a sisterly manner. I knew what she was talking about; "What do you tell them?" Stefan asks us. Turning to him, "That I'll be fine. That we'll be fine." I say as my sister smiles slightly. "Do you ever mean it?" Looking to him, "Ask us tomorrow." Elena says.

A moment of silence, "It's warmer in the house. We can talk." I suggest, "Would you like to come in?" Smiling, "Yes." Stefan says and then enters into our house. Elena follows after him as I look out the door. Looking through the corner of my eye, I see the crow again. It's beady eyes peering into my own. Without another thought, I close the door.

Author's Note:

Hey guys! This is my first fanfic on here, so I hope you guys like it! (I also have a Wattpad account)

So, for all of you that haven't see TVD, go give it a chance! It's my favorite show right now! But for all you TVD fans out there, I know you have probably seen this (as well as my other TVD FanFiction 'The Little Salvatore') idea before. Though I promise to try to make this as unique as possible! (With a lot of twists and turns that I don't think anybody's going to expect!) As well as some different perceptive, then just Kathleen's. Though at first, it's mainly going to be her POV, with a few third person, but later on, you will get an insight into Damon, Elena, and maybe even Stefan's POV! And yes, this is going to most likely be a 'Stefan/Elena and Damon/OC' story, but I hope that won't turn you off from it. I've put a lot of effort into this, and can't wait till I get further into the story for you to see the many loops I go through! So, I hope you will enjoy (read, vote, comment), and below is my OC Outline the main character of 'Kathleen Gilbert' for everyone that wishes to see it!

Name: Kathleen Eliza Gilbert

Nicknames (and who calls her them):

Kat- Pretty much everyone calls her this, except for Damon Salvatore.

Kitty Kat- A nickname that Damon gave to her as a joke, and still calls her it to mess with her from time to time.

Katy- Given to her also by Damon, and like 'Kitty Kat,' only Damon uses it on her. This is also her favorite nickname she has ever been given, though she wouldn't admit it at first.

Age: 17/18

Species: Doppelganger Human

Physical Appearance: (Played by Nina Dobrev) Almost identical to her twin sister, Elena Gilbert, they share only a few differences in their appearances. The first to note, is that they both share the same oval face, doe-like eyes, light olive skin tone, and dark brown hair. Though despite those, Elena has naturally straight dark brown hair, while Kathleen has natural curls, much like Katherine's, though she parts it to the right, while Katherine parts her's to the left. Kathleen also wears, not a lot, but more make-up then her sister.

Though for their style of clothing, it's completely different. For while Elena wears the typical clothing, Kathleen prefers to wear a little bit more out there clothing. For when they were younger, she always walked in Elena's shadow, and now wishes to be her own individual person. So, wearing her clothes and make-up different helps her be her own unique individual. (In her mind at least)

Personality: At first, Kathleen seems to be a little shy and insecure (as she was in her early years), but once you get to know her, you realize she isn't at all. She enjoys having a good time, but is easily hurt, though she tries to hide it. For once her parents died, she slipped on, what she calls, 'the mask.' By wearing this, it's hard for other people to tell her emotions, but the more the story goes on, you will see that it comes harder for her to wear it, even slipping off at times.

Though as she finally removes it, she lets the whole world to see her as her true self. She doesn't care what people think about her, or what she does, not letting anything get to her, even taking charge for what she believes in. She's also quite caring and sweet when you've known her long enough, but hardly anyone's see that side of her, even some of her closest friends. Overall, her personality is sort of a mix of Elena Gilbert, Katherine Pierce, Damon Salvatore, and even some of myself is thrown in there.

Back-story: Born on June 22nd, 1992, she grew up, Kathleen was the twin of Elena Gilbert, and the older sister to Jeremy Gilbert. Most people would get her and her sister confused, but she was too shy to say anything against it. This continued on through high school, causing her to practically walk in Elena's shadow. Never once did she even have a boyfriend.

Then, one night, Elena and her snuck out to a bonfire school party without telling their parents and Aunt. This resulted in them deciding to head home, as Elena had a fight with her boyfriend. Though on the way home with their parents, the car unexpectedly went over the Wickery Bridge.

Somehow, Elena and Kathleen were saved, but their parents weren't as lucky. It was at this time that Kathleen slipped on 'the mask' and tried to help her siblings through this hard time. Their Aunt Jenna, who took them in, also tried helping, but it isn't easy taking care of three teenagers.
