Hey everyone, Chris here, finally! College sucks! Let's get into Chapter 30!

The camera points at Chris as he is seated in his trailer that is trailing the Total Drama Double-Decker and the pickup that's hauling the trailer.

"Last time on Total Drama Avengeance!" the Host started as the picture changed to show the events of the previous episode as Chris described them.

"I put the final 11 contestants, along with 5 cameos, into a Virtual Reality, 2-on-2, smashing, brawling, and melee-ing tournament challenge!" (Shows some highlights from the first round of the tournament)

"Some of the pairs I made up were awesome!" (Shows Noah and Justin, Lightning and Cameron, and Tyler and Alejandro)

"Others…not so much…" (Shows Ezekiel and Dawn, Harold and DJ, and Mike and B)

"In the end, the pairs of Noah and Justin, and Zoey and Anne Maria made it to the final round, where I decided to throw a wrench into their plans." (Shows the pairs winning their respective fights to get to the final round)

"Instead of just having them face each other, 2-on-2, I made the final round a Free-For-All fight!" (Shows Noah, Justin, Anne Maria, and Zoey turning on each other)

"Punches were punched, kicks were kicked, and bombs were bombed…" (Shows off the moments when each fighter was eliminated)

"But in the end, Justin stood victorious in the tournament." (Shows Justin standing alone in the virtual auto shop)

"Oh yeah! Did I mention that this challenge was a reward challenge? Cause it was! Ha-ha!" (Shows Chris smiling at the contestants at the "Elimination Ceremony")

The image changes back to Chris in his trailer.

"The reason why I made that challenge a reward challenge was because today's the final Pair Challenge before the real, official merge!" the Host said with a big grin on his face. "And, in order to have a pair challenge, I needed an even amount of contestants, which brings me to my next bit of news. If you watched the Total Drama Avengeance Aftermath Halfway Special Episode, you'll know that we have three old contestants coming into the game in this episode."

"If you didn't watch that episode, which I wouldn't blame you, since there was very little me on the screen, you probably don't know who those three contestants are. So, if you're one of those loyal me fans, you can find out, right here, right now, on…"

"Total!"

"Drama!"

"Avengeance!"

*Theme Song*

The Top Deck (11:00 AM)

The contestants that made up the pairs that were eliminated in the first round of the Street Fighter VR Tournament challenge all sat on the top deck of the Total Drama Double Decker Bus as it drove down a warm, sunny highway.

"Ahh…" Ezekiel sighed, contently. "Sure feels good to have a break from challenges for a couple days, eh."

"It sure has," Katie agreed with her arms behind her head, leaning back in her seat.

"Pfft!" Eva scoffed. "Winners never take days off," she said while lifting one of her personal weights.

"Sorry, Iron Woman, but we all can't have, like, big, buff biceps like you," the BFFFL responded.

"That'll just make it easier for me to survive longer than you all," the Muscle-bound Teen said with a shrug.

"Right… Because it worked so well for you back in season 1."

Suddenly, a thud sounded. It came from the weight that Eva was lifting, hitting the floor of the deck. Instead of picking it back up, Eva decided to get up from her seat and walk towards Katie was sitting.

Seeing this, the males on the deck got up to try and restrain her before she got to Katie.

"The reason I was eliminated in season 1 was because you and the rest of those so-called teammates got tricked by that witch, Heather!"

"Eva, calm down, eh," Ezekiel said.

"We weren't the only ones that got tricked by Heather," Katie retaliated, "Besides; she wouldn't have been able to trick any of us if you didn't drop your precious MP3 player!"

"Grr!" Eva growled.

"Ladies, stop!" Mike shouted.

"You wanna go, Katie?!" the Muscle-bound Teen threatened.

"You bet I do! I'll get revenge for you voting Sadie out!" the BFFFL responded.

"ENOUGH!"

All five contestants stopped what they were doing and turned to look at Dawn, who was looking at them angrily.

The Bottom Deck

All 5 contestants who were victorious in the first round from the last challenge were minding their own business in the bottom deck of the bus. Then they heard a loud shout, and looked up to the ceiling.

"Whoa… I wonder who that was," Tyler said curiously.

"It didn't sound like Katie…or Iron Woman," Noah commented.

"It couldn't have been Dawn," Zoey responded, "I've never heard her scream like that, other than when she was shot from that catapult."

Anne Maria chuckled a bit.

"Yeah. Dat was funny," she commented.

"Anyone wanna go up there and see what's going on?" Justin asked, "I would, but I wouldn't want to get my beautiful hands dirty if there's a fight going on up there."

The Cynical Bookworm rolled his eyes, sighed, and closed the book he was reading.

"I guess I'll be a man and go up there," he said as he got up from his seat.

"I'll come too," Zoey said as she got up to her own feet, "I wanna make sure Mike's alright."

"Yeah, you do that," Justin commented as they made their way to the stairs leading to the Top Deck.

The Top Deck

Mike, B, Ezekiel, Katie, and Eva all had their full-on attention on Dawn after her sudden and unexpected outburst.

"You two should be ashamed of yourselves," Dawn started, "You two have been teammates in two seasons and have been absent from the same exact seasons, yet, you still harbor hatred towards each other stemming from several years ago. I'm sorry to say this, but that is just petty of the both of you."

Mike, B, and Ezekiel dropped their jaws after hearing what the Moonchild had to say. The three males then looked back at Eva and Katie.

Katie looked to the floor in disappointment, while Eva continued to stare at Dawn in shock. Shortly, that shock changed to anger as the Muscular Teen started making her way towards the Moonchild.

"You really have some guts to speak to me like that, little girl," she said to Dawn, who stood her ground, even as Eva stomped her way towards her.

"But, what would you say, if I made those guts of yours fall out on the floor?" she asked threateningly while punching her left palm with her right fist.

The Moonchild continued to stand her ground and look Eva dead in the eyes.

"I'd say, 'you should learn a little more about love…and…tolerance,'" Dawn said, ending the sentence quieter than when she started it.

Eva dropped her fists to her sides, dropped her own jaw, and widened her eyes in surprise. Meanwhile, Noah and Zoey made their way up to the Top Deck.

"W-w-who..? H-how?" was all Eva could sputter out.

"It's all over your aura, Eva," the Moonchild replied, "It was hard not to miss."

At that moment, Eva's eye started to twitch as she realized that Dawn knew of her secret. Then, she looked back towards the other contestants behind her with slight worry in her eyes, before turning back towards Dawn.

"What will it take for you to be quiet about this?" she asked her quietly, but loud enough to be heard over the bus's motor.

"I am not blackmailing you, Eva," Dawn replied, "That goes against every virtue that I strive for in life. However, I would like for you to take the show's lessons to heart and apologize to Katie. Make up with her and try to tolerate each other for the rest of the season, especially today."

Eva sighed heavily.

"Fine…" she said in defeat. She started to turn back towards Katie and the rest of the group before turning back towards Dawn yet again.

"Wait. Why is today so special?" Eva asked.

"You'll see soon enough," Dawn said with a small smile.

The Muscle-bound Teen raises half of her brow before making her way back towards the others.

Eva - "That Dawn chick creeps me the heck out! And now, she knows my deepest secret! She better not use it as blackmail! Or else!" *She punches the wall that separates the confessional from the outside of the bus, leaving a hole* "That will be her face!"

*Static*

Dawn - "I have no intent of releasing Eva's secret to the public, no matter what she may do to me. It is up to her if she wants her secret revealed or not. Personally, I don't see what's so bad about it." *She shrugs* "To each their own, I suppose."

*Static*

Katie - *She looks at the hole in the wall of the confessional* "I think this confessional has gotten more abuse than any other confessional on this show."

The Bottom Deck (11:10 AM)

Noah and Zoey made their ways back downstairs.

"So, what happened up there," Tyler asked.

"All we saw was Eva standing in front of Dawn, looking like she was about to beat her up," Zoey started.

"Oh! Oh! Did she?! I hope she did," Anne Maria exclaimed giddily.

"Actually, no. They just whispered between themselves for a while, then Eva walked towards Katie and they apologized to each other."

"Apparently, Katie and Eva were arguing about something," Noah added, "and that's when Dawn spoke up. And by, 'spoke up', I mean she uncharacteristically yelled at them to stop."

"Whoa…didn't know creepy girl had it in 'er," Anne Maria commented.

"Yeah, that's a big shocker…" Justin muttered, not really paying attention. However, something else that was said caught attention. "Wait. Eva apologized?!"

"I wouldn't have believed it either if I didn't see it and hear it for myself," the Bookworm said before taking his seat and looking into his book once again.

His rival, on the other hand, was thinking a bit about what had happened upstairs.

Justin - "Eva never apologizes! Not even when it's her fault." *He put his hand to his chin in a thinking pose* "Something's wrong here… I hope that my alliance isn't crumbling. I'd better have a little talk with Eva when this bus stops. Speaking of stopping…I wonder where we're going." *Suddenly, the speakers squealed to life, including the one that's in the confessional*

Chris - "Funny you should ask that, Justin! We're a few minutes from our destination. Maybe you should stop wondering and start looking out the window. Ha-ha! McLean out!"

Justin - *He rolls his eyes* "I know Chris favors me and he wants to make sure that no one else suspects that, but he could lighten up just a little bit."

*A Few Minutes Later*

The Total Drama Double Decker parked in the middle of a nearly empty parking lot. The 11 remaining contestants exited the bus in an orderly fashion and stood as a group in an amorphous shape on the concrete surface, waiting for their host.

Suddenly, Tyler gasped out of nowhere, leaving his mouth agape.

"Tyler? Are you alright?" Zoey asked.

"He's fine. He just figured out where we are," Chris said as he made his way to the group from his trailer.

"And where would that be?" Eva asked with her arms crossed.

"Da…da…da…" Tyler said breathlessly before Chris stretched his sweatband out and pulled it down so it would get in his mouth, preventing him from saying anything.

"I'll get to that in a few minutes. But first, I need some certain people to arrive," the Host said while looking at his watch.

"Let me guess," Noah started, "You're waiting on the returning contestants."

"Once again, you're correct, a-Noah-yance. Ha-ha! I like that. I think I'm gonna make that your nickname from now on."

The Bookworm definitely wasn't pleased with the new nickname, and it showed in his facial expression.

"I second that nickname!" Justin said with his hand raised.

"So it was voted, so it shall be! Now, as I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, the returning contestants are on their way here."

At that moment, Chris looked up into the sky to see something approaching.

"In fact, they should be landing in a few minutes, right over there," he said while pointing to a section of the parking lot that was devoid of parked vehicles.

After waiting for a couple of minutes, the Copter of Shame made its way to the parking lot and landed in the same spot that Chris pointed to.

"As some of you may remember from before the last challenge," the Host announced, "I told you that the cameo contestants have been competing in these challenge for a chance to enter the season midway through…"

Noah muttered something under his breath.

"…Well, I've got another announcement to make regarding that."

"What? Are you gonna bring in 11 new teenagers that we're gonna have to compete against for the rest of the season?" the agitated Bookworm asked.

"No…maybe for a future season, but not this one. Ha-ha! This season, we decided not just to bring one cameo contestant into the game, but also have two contestants, who were eliminated earlier, return!"

"So, we're getting three more contestants?" Mike asked.

"Correct, Mike! And heeeeere they come!" Chris exclaimed as the helicopter's door opened from the opposite side of the group of contestants.

Suddenly, Sirius by The Alan Parsons Project started playing in the background as four pairs of feet hit the ground on the opposite side of the Copter of Shame. The pair of feet closest to the rear of the helicopter started making its way toward it, with the other three in tow. As the four figures made their way towards the rear, only their faces were blocked from the group's sight by the helicopter's tail. However, the contestants were already drawing conclusions as to who the three contestants were. [1]

"Wait! Is dat…?!"

"No way!"

"He's back!"

"He's all better!"

As Chef Hatchet turned the corner around the tail propeller, the three contestants behind him flared out and stood beside him, instead of staying directly behind him.

"Welcome back, Trent…!" Chris announced to the group and the TV audience.

With his name announced, Trent flashed grin and waved to the 11 contestants.

"Hey guys!" He greeted them.

"…Brick…!"

The Cadet saluted with closed-eyes and a smile on his face.

"Private Brick McArthur, ready to compete once again in this season of To-Whoa!"

While he was speaking, Anne Maria managed to sprint from the group of contestants and tackle Brick to the ground with a hug.

"…and Cody!"

Cody showed off his gapped teeth with a small smile and a wave.

"Heya!"

After the reintroductions were done, the other 10 contestants made their ways to the 3 returning/new contestants in a calmer fashion than Anne Maria.

"Great to have you back, Drama Bro!" Justin exclaimed happily as he greeted Trent with a fist bump.

"Yeah, man! And it's great to see that you're all healed up!" Tyler chimed in.

"I told you I was a quick healer," the Cool Guy said, calling back to the Indianapolis challenge.

"And you're back to 100%, right?" Eva asked with crossed arms.

"Yep! Never felt better."

Meanwhile, Cody had a group of friends around him as well.

"Welcome back, eh!" Ezekiel said excitedly.

"Heh…thanks, Zeke!" the Tech Geek responded with a slightly awkward chuckle.

"So, how exactly did you manage to beat out Duncan, Gwen, Owen, and the others to be a contestant this season?" Noah asked with the hint of a skeptical tone.

"It was decided by a vote."

"Heh! Should've guessed…Well, if I had to choose any of those who were available, you'd definitely be my top choice. Good to have you back, Cody," the Bookworm concluded with an extended hand, which Cody happily shook.

"I agree," Katie added, "I'm so glad that you're not Duncan, Heather, Lightning, Alejandro, or Gwen. Any of them would have been, like, total bummers."

"Agreed," her boyfriend added.

Meanwhile, Brick had his own group of friends surrounding him.

Brick got back up to his feet, while still being hugged by Anne Maria.

"I'm so happy you're back, Brick!" she exclaimed.

"Heh! So am I. I missed you…all of you guys!" Brick responded with a big smile plastered on his face.

"We missed you too, Brick!" Mike responded happily.

"Although, none of us could have missed you as much as Anne Maria has," Zoey added.

"Oh? Is that so?" the Cadet said with a raised brow, looking at the Jersey Girl who released him from her hug.

"Heh-heh-heh…" she chuckled nervously as her tanned cheeks managed to turn a little red.

"It's true," Dawn started, "You should have seen her that night, after you were eliminated. She sat on the bus by herself until our next destination."

B nodded in reaffirmation.

"Ok…dat's enough…" Anne Maria told the others through her gritted teeth.

"I agree, Anne Maria," Chris said into his megaphone as a record scratch stopped the background music. "That is enough of the catching up…because it's time for the last pairs challenge!"

"Pairs challenge?" Brick and Trent questioned.

"Oh, right. Neither of you were here for that," the Host realized with a shrug, "Oh well. No need to explain, the challenge will do it for me, but first…let's make our way into the location of our challenge."

"Wait! Didn't you say you were gonna tell us where we were after 'some certain people arrived'?" Eva questioned gesturing to Chef, Cody, Brick, and Trent as she said the last four words.

"Ooo! Someone's being attentive today."

"Ooo! Someone's been reading their dictionary," Noah said mockingly.

"Well, contestants and a-Noah-yances," Chris said, not-so-subtly responding to Noah's mocking, "today we are in sunny Daytona Beach, Florida, and we are standing in the parking lot for… the Daytona International Speedway!"

"YEEEEEEEEAH!" Tyler shouted out loud.

"Great…another death trap race…" Noah snidely remarked.

"Don't count your chickens before they eat you, Bookworm," the Host responded quickly, "Just because we're at a racetrack for car races, doesn't mean that that's the challenge for you guys. I'm sure that Trent is relieved to hear that after his incident."

"That Noah was responsible for…" Justin muttered, barely out of the Bookworm's earshot.

"Actually, I wouldn't have minded another car racing challenge," Trent commented, "As long as I didn't have to be a pit crew member…"

"Well, you won't have to worry, Trent, my boy," Chris told him with a pat on his raven-haired head. "Because today's challenge is gonna be a footrace around this historic track!"

"But…isn't this track…"

"2-and-a-half miles long? Yes, yes it is! That's not a problem, is it?"

Chris's question was met with some mixed retorts.

Noah - "That 20K run back in season 1 almost murdered me…! But, running a fifth of that should be too difficult…right?"

*Static*

Eva - "No sweat."

*Static*

Justin - "Easy peasy."

*Static*

Tyler - "YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAA-"

*Static*

Trent - "Glad I came back to this challenge. Should be an easy one."

*Static*

Mike - "Oh…I've never run any kind of race like this before. Maybe once Svetlana kicks in, it'll be a breeze."

*Static*

Zoey - "This will be my first time doing an actual long-distance run. I've always stayed away from them because of those jerky jocks that competed in them…but, now, I'm gonna be running with Mike! He should be great at encouraging me to keep running to the end."

*Static*

Anne Maria - "I really hope dat Brick will be a gentleman and carry me all 2-and-a-half miles. Dat would be so dreamy…Or, would he run along with me and push me to the end?" *She shrugs* "Eitha way, it'll be romantic!"

*Static*

Brick - "A 4K? Ha! I can do that in my sleep! In fact, I actually might have sleep-ran a 5K, at least that's what my drill sergeant told me."

Tyler - "-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"

Parking Lot

"Wait," Cody interjected, "Didn't you say that this challenge was the last pairs challenge? Well, how is running a race by ourselves a pairs challenge?"

"Oh, right! I almost forgot… these!" Chris said as he pulled out…

"A bunch of handcuffs?" Katie asked.

"Nope! A bunch of ankle cuffs!" he replied while giving Chef the ball of ankle cuffs, "You see, in today's challenge, you won't just be running a regular 4 kilometer race. You'll be running…a 4 kilometer 3-legged race!"

Trent - "Ok…not as easy as I thought, but-"

*Static*

Eva - "Still easy. Whoever I get paired up with better be ready to run, because I'm not slowing down for anyone!" *She pauses* "E-except maybe Dawn…"

*Static*

Noah - "I hope I don't get paired up with Eva. Otherwise, I'm gonna be a skid-mark on this track."

Tyler - "-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"

Pit Road

The group of 16 made their way onto the track and onto pit road.

"Alright, now it's time to get paired up!" Chris announced, standing in front of the group of 14 teenagers. "Now, these pairs were chosen at random by me. So, if you don't like your partner…tough. You're stuck with them for this challenge. Ha-ha!"

"I hope we get paired up, Mike," Zoey said as she put a hand on her boyfriend's shoulder.

"Me too," he replied, grabbing her hand with his own.

"First pair…Mike and Zoey!" the Host announced.

With that said, Chef, who seemingly came out of nowhere, cuffed the lovebirds' ankles to each other's.

"Wow! What are the odds?" the Indie Chick wondered out loud.

Confession Cam

*Static*

Zoey - "This is gonna be so awesome! I can't wait to run along with my Mikey! Maybe we can have a conversation about our future together while we run. Or…maybe I shouldn't…I wouldn't want him to change to Chester again while we're running."

*Static*

Mike - "This is great! Zoey and I get to be together for a challenge that doesn't involving babies or marriage. And we'll be so busy running that we won't have time to talk about any of that stuff again. Sweet!"

*Static*

Pit Road

"Next pair is…Katie and Eva…"

"Again?!" Eva and Katie asked simultaneously.

"I told you it was randomized. You know I wouldn't pick a pairing twice in a row," Chris reassured them.

With that, Chef locked the Muscular Teen and the BFFFL together at the ankle.

Eva - "This must be why I needed to tolerate Katie, especially for today." *She thought for a second* "How did she know…Never mind. I just need to concentrate on the race."

Pit Road

"Pair three will be Noah and B," Chris said in an almost poetic meter.

The two geniuses looked at each other with some hesitation before Chef shackled them together.

"Next… Trent and Justin!"

"The Drama Bros are back again!" Justin exclaimed as he and Trent exchanged fist bumps.

"Aren't you forgetting someone?" Cody asked, standing next to Trent.

"Cody! You're paired up with…Dawn!" Chris announced.

Dawn looked over to her new partner, who replied by grinning and waving.

"Pairing number six will be… Oh, this should be good…Tyler and Ezekiel!"

The two friends tried to give each other high fives, but they missed each other's hand. Instead, Tyler hit Ezekiel's toque, knocking it off of his head, and the Ezekiel hit Tyler's face.

"And last, but probably not least, is the pair of Brick and Anne Maria."

"Yay!" Anne Maria cheered as she hugged Brick, who smiled wide, even though his ankle was being restrained to the Jersey Girl's ankle.

"Alright! Now that all of you are cuffed together, I can tell you more about the challenge!" the Host told the contestants.

"Isn't it just a 3-legged, 2.5 mile race?" Cody asked.

"Mmm…kinda, but I didn't explain the immunity conditions."

"Let me guess," Noah started, "Only one member in the first pairing to finish will get immunity, after they go against each other in some additional post-challenge that you neglected to tell us about in the beginning."

Chris chuckled heartily.

"While that does sound like something that I'd do, I'm happy to say that you're wrong, A-Noah-yance. Ha-ha! That never gets old…"

Noah gave the Host a sharp glare as he chuckled at his own joke.

"The first three pairs that cross the finish line will get to kick back in the luxury of the Bottom Deck to our next destination. But actually, it's not about the first pairs to cross, it's about the last pair. Because today, we aren't just eliminating one contestant; we're eliminating two! As in, both members of the final pair to cross the finish line will be automatically eliminated. Meaning, those contestants will go directly into the Copter of Shame, and go directly back home. 'Do not pass "Go"; do not collect five million dollars!' Ha-ha!"

After receiving this news, some of the contestants looked between each other and their partners.

Confession Cam

*Static*

Noah - "I'm glad that I wasn't paired up with Justin again, but I'm not too sure about B. I know he's somewhat athletic and intelligent, but I wonder if he has the stamina to run 2.5 miles. For our sakes, he'd better have more than me."

*Static*

Pit Road

With all of the contestants shackled to their partners, Chris and Chef got them all lined up at the Start/Finish Line on pit road. All of the contestants stood in ready stances, with their cuffed legs in front of the opposite leg.

The hosts stood on the opposite side of the pit wall, with Chef holding a starting pistol in his hand.

"Now, remember," Chris said out loud, "The rules for this race, are as follows: You cannot run onto the racing surface, meaning the area to the right of the double yellow lines. If you do, you will be disqualified and automatically sent to the Copter of Shame. So, no running around the 10 obstacles that have been placed around the track! Alright… On your mark…"

"Wait…obstacles?" Justin asked.

"You never said anything about obstacles!" Noah pointed out.

"Oh, I didn't? Huh…Get set…!"

"Wait!" Cody shouted out, "Aren't you gonna tell us about the…"

"GO!" Chris shouted as Chef shot the starting pistol.

While a number of the contestants were still in a state of confusion from the sudden bit of news, Eva started to run as soon as the pistol was shot.

"AH! Wa-a-ait, Eva! I wasn't ready ye-e-e-et!" Katie shouted in protest as Eva continued to run, dragging the BFFFL behind her on the asphalt.

Chris watched the mismatched pair run towards the end of pit road, and then turned to look at the other six pairs that continued to protest the obstacles that they were recently unveiled to them.

"You guys better get a move on if none of you want to be eliminated, or lose a spot in the Bottom Deck, if you don't get kicked off," the Host told them.

"He's right, Trent! Let's go," Justin said to his partner as they started to run.

"Let's go, B!" Noah said to B, who nodded in response.

Soon after, the rest of the pairs started running as well (and tripping in the first few steps), leaving Chris and Chef alone on pit road. That was when Chris spoke into a Walkie-Talkie.

"Get the last obstacle ready on the front straightaway," he said with a mischievous smile before turning towards the camera that was pointed at him.

"How will our contestants fair, running on this 2.5 mile long D-shaped oval on foot? How will they all do on the obstacles that I've placed all along the track? And which pair will be eliminated? Find out when we return to…"

"Total!"

"Drama!"

"Avengeance!"

At that moment, a seagull fell from the sky and landed right in front of Chris. [2]

"I thought you said that pistol only had blanks!"

"My bad…" Chef muttered.

[1] - If you played that song during that moment, you might recognize how epic it sounds. It was used as the intro music for the Chicago Bulls during the Michael Jordan days, and I felt it was worthy of playing when Trent, Cody, and Brick made their return.

[2] - This is a bit of an homage to Dale Earnhardt, 7-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion, who actually had a seagull fly into his racecar's front bumper during the 1991 Daytona 500, believe it or not.

Glad I was finally able to upload this chapter! I'm sorry it took so long, but like I said before, school has to come first. And boy, did it come... Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and look forward to the next one! See ya then!
