I still own nothing.

So I haven't updated this in a while so I made it crazy long. I hope you guys enjoy.

Derek slowly opened his eyes to see Penelope looking up at him with a sleepy smile. "Good morning, princess."

"Derek, you should have woken me up," she whined.

"No way! My girl needed her sleep."

Derek saw his cell phone vibrate on the coffee table, and noticed that he had two missed calls from JJ, one from Reid, Hotch, and Rossi.

As Penelope sat up and saw the Damn It! face he was making.

"Hot Stuff, call JJ back, and find out what's going on."

He sighed, but pressed the numbers anyway. "Hey JJ, wassup…How bad?...What do you mean outside help?"

He ended the call then looked at Penelope and said, "We have a case, but we aren't leaving Quantico for right now. JJ sent you the particulars of the case to your phone."

Penelope pouted. "I'll look at them when we get to work."

He cupped her face and said "Hey baby, if you aren't up for this, we can just use Lynch."

"Derek, this may be my last case for a while. I'll bejust fine."

"Okay P, if you say you're going to be fine, I'll leave it alone."

"That's all I ask."

He stood up. Penelope reached her arms out towards him. He chuckled but helped her stand up anyway.

They both glanced at the clock and realize they needed to get ready.

She was standing by the door pinning a flower in her hair. Derek jogged down the stairs and said, "Mom is gonna come get Clooney later."

"Well then, I suppose we're all set."

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

That afternoon Penelope was furiously typing while sipping lukewarm decaf tea from her Wonder Woman mug. The team had been sent out on a local case and were working along with Counterterrorism. Since the job was so large she enlisted the help of Kevin.

"Hey, take a look at this."

Penelope rolled her desk chair next to Kevin's as they skimmed through massive amounts of data.

She scooted Kevin out of the way and started typing commands the data went from one huge lump to smaller more manageable piles that could be separated by the many screens in her lair. Her fingers were poised over the keys to continue narrowing down what they had when she felt a slight twinge in her back. She winced, but continued her work.

"Kevin, I need for you to call Agent Todd and tell her what we've found."

Kevin grumbled, but picked up the office phone receiver anyway. As he was dialing the numbers he mumbled, "I don't see why you can't call her."

She stopped typing long enough to shoot him a dirty look. "Kevin, you know damn well I don't want to talk to that woman."

"Oh yeah, and I'm just ecstatic about having to talk to her."

As Lynch placed Jordan on speaker phone to explain what they found Penelope felt another slight pain in her lower back. She tried twisting and turning but the low constant of pain never left. She really wished that Derek was there to rub her back but he was off tracking some radical terrorist group placing small devices containing anthrax all around bus depots and train stations.

Kevin ended his call and Penelope laughed a little a the look of distaste on his face.

"She didn't even say thank you."

She sighed. "Well, what did you expect? I barely spoke to her when she was a part of the BAU. She's not exactly Susie Sunshine."

"She gave me some parameters to narrow some of this down."

"I'll call Hotch now and see if he has a working profile for me."

As she started to hit the appropriate button for Hotchner's number she let out a small gasp and wrapped her arm around her lower belly.

Kevin warily eyed her and asked, "Are you okay?"

She waved him off. "Yeah I'm fine. It seems the little one is just active today."

He let out a sigh of relief. Kevin had little to no experience with pregnant women, let alone one that was in labor.

Penelope looked down at her protruding belly and said, "Hey now little one, give me a break. We need to get Daddy and his team home safe and sound then you can perform your own three ring circus." She laughed when she felt an answering kick to her playful plea.

She reached again for the button on speed dial. She waited a moment and was satisfied that she would be able to make the call without any interruptions. After getting the working profile, they continued their work in silence.

Penelope and Kevin were able to narrow down the terrorist group and could pinpoint where the next attack would mostly likely be. After sending the address to both teams, Penelope sat back with her bottom lip between her teeth. This was the part she absolutely hated. She hated waiting to hear from someone on the team that they were all coming home safe and sound.

"Hey, come on. They'll be fine."

"I know, it's just-" Penelope sucked in a breath sharply. A stabbing pain rippled across her lower stomach causing her to curse softly.

"Are you sure you're okay? You've been pulling faces off and on all day."

"Kevin, I swear to you I'm-" This time she grunted.

"Penelope, I think we need to call Agent Morgan."

Once the pain subsided she smacked Kevin's hand away from the phone. "There's no need to call him I'm fine."

"Penelope, I think you're in labor."

"That's ridiculous. I'm not due for another three weeks."

Kevin eyed her warily.

"I'm going to get some more tea. Could you stay here just in case the team calls?" She tried to stand up, but quickly sat back down. She gripped the sides of the chair and tried to breathe. The sheer force and pain she felt wrapped around her midsection caused tears to pool in her eyes. Before Penelope could protest Kevin picked up the phone and dialed Morgan's number. He muttered a curse word as his call was sent to voicemail.

"Agent Morgan, uh, not to alarm you but if you could please return my call. I think Penelope's gone into labor."

Through gritted teeth, she yelled at Kevin, "I should smack you. See I'm perfectly fine. Ow! Mother of fuck why does this hurt so much!"

Kevin patted Penelope's shoulder and said, "Wait here. I'm going to get help."

Penelope watched as Kevin dashed out of the bull pen. A minute later, a frantic Anderson was trailing Lynch into her office. Anderson quickly stood next to Penelope. "Okay we're going to get you out to the car and then to the hospital. Sound good?" he asked.

"No it doesn't sound good because I'm not in labor! This baby isn't due for weeks and Derek's not here."

Anderson looked at Kevin and said, "She's in complete denial."

"See what I've been dealing with?"

Anderson squatted next to Penelope and placed his hand on top of her's. "Garcia, listen to me. You're in labor. This baby is coming whether you like it or not."

She sighed and tried to stand up. Another contraction tore through her midsection causing her knees to buckle.

"Kevin, how far apart are her contractions?"

"How the hell should I know?"

"You're supposed to monitor these kinds of things. Don't you watch Grey's Anatomy?"

"Uh, no! I'm more of a Babylon 5, Stargate Atlantis, Firefly kind of dude."

"Hmm, I never took you for a Babylon 5 guy. What did you think about how they ended Stargate Atlantis?"

"It was far too rushed and disappointing."

"Right? I mean they just landed-"

"Can you two idiots continue this conversation at the hospital?" Penelope groaned.

"Oh, right! Sorry Garcia. Kevin, stand on the other side of her chair and help me get her up."

"I can get up on my own, thank you." After a few attempts, she sighed and rolled her chair back further away from her desk. She held her arms out, they each grabbed one, and helped her up.

Anderson moved to stand behind Penelope and gently pushed her forward to get the momentum going. They waited for the elevators to reach their floor and they boarded. right before the doors closed Penelope let out an ear piercing scream.

Once they got her situated into the SUV Anderson was driving and Kevin was continuously calling Morgan, Penelope's contractions seemed to wane a little bit much to the relief of the gentlemen in the front.

"Morgan must be in an area with poor cell service."

"Call everyone on the team until you get somebody."

Kevin nodded and began scrolling and calling.

Penelope tried hard not to scream. She knew her contractions weren't that close together but they hurt like hell.

Anderson flipped on the siren and lights on the government issued SUV and began to press the gas pedal down.

Kevin grabbed the handle attached to the door and held on for dear life as Anderson navigated his way through the busy streets of downtown Virginia.

"Slow down."

A wail from the back seat quickly shut down that argument.

"Oh God, I am going to kill Derek the second I see him!"

Anderson glanced in the rear view mirror and said, "Okay Garcia breathe with me. In and out. That's it; in and out."

As another contraction hit Kevin found himself breathing along with Penelope. He was breathing so deeply he started to see stars in front of his eyes.

"Kevin, I swear to God if you pass out I'm going to kick your ass!"

"Huh?" Lynch adjusted his glasses on his face and the white spots in his vision were dissipating.

"We're here. I'm going to go inside and get her a wheelchair. You stay with her and help her breathe."

"Doesn't this go beyond ex-boyfriend duties?"

"Lynch, get your ass in the back seat and help her!"

Penelope cradled her stomach with both of her arms and looked up at the SUV's ceiling. She wanted to know what the hell she had done in a former life to be stuck with these two morons.

Kevin opened the back door and said, "Hang on just a little bit longer."

"Hang on? Kevin, I know you've never felt like you're being torn in half, but telling me to hang on just makes me want to kick you!"

"I'm sorry. I just don't know what to say."

"Move out of my way. With a not so gentle nudge from Anderson, Kevin found himself on the ground.

He stood up and said, "Okay that was not called for."

"Can you two please just help me get inside?"

Anderson rushed Penelope inside with Kevin jogging next to them.

A nurse from behind the circulation desk looked up from her computer screen and smiled. "Okay Miss...?"

"Garcia, my name is Garcia."

"Okay Ms. Garcia, your boyfriend here was telling me you were in labor and your contractions seemed about seven or eight minutes apart.

She shook her head and said, "Oh, he's not my boyfriend."

"Oh! I'm sorry." The nurse then looked at Kevin and asked, "Are you the proud papa?"

He cleared his throat and said, "No, ma'am."

"Oh I see," said the nurse in the Mickey Mouse scrubs. "So she's your surrogate?"

Anderson scoffed and Lynch looked like he swallowed his liver.

"First of all, I could do better."

"Shut up, Anderson! If anything I would be too good for you."

"Really? Did anyone forget about the woman in labor here. Somebody try Derek again." Just as soon as the words left her mouth Kevin's cell phone began to ring.

"Morgan."

"Here. Give me the phone I'll talk to him."

Kevin crossed his arms and said, "Why you?"

"Because, dumbass, someone has to fill out the forms and considering you two used to date, it should be you."

Lynch took the forms from the highly amused nurse and began wheeling Penelope to a delivery room.

The nurse stopped Kevin from following them into the room. "She needs to get changed and hooked up, then you can come in."

"Fine with me."

Penelope looked around the hospital room and then down at the ugly hospital gown on the bed. She felt so unprepared and she wanted Derek there now. She hurriedly took off her clothes and placed the gown on and slipped into the bed under the covers.

The nurse came back in with an OB, and after a quick check, the doctor informed Penelope that it could be several hours before she was ready to push.

With relief, Penelope thanked her. Derek would now have time to make it to the hospital.

Anderson came into the room. He sat next to Penelope's bed and said, "Okay, Morgan is on his way now. Just like we thought, he was in a bad area for cell service."

"Is he freaking out?"

"Well he did seem to panic a little, but I think Rossi smacked him and told him to get it together."

The hours seemed to pass slowly for Penelope. She sat in the hospital bed a twiddled her thumbs. She kept looking at the clock on the wall wondering what the hell was taking Derek so long. She still wasn't given anything for pain yet and to top it all off she had to watch Anderson and Kevin fight over the tv remote like to spoiled brats.

Just when Penelope was about to pull her hair out the door opened.

"Oh! Dr. Gimbel, you're here."

The smiling brunette donned a pair of rubber gloves and said, "I wouldn't miss my favorite patient's big day."

Penelope felt at ease seeing one familiar calm face.

"Okay Penelope I'm going to need to check your progress okay?"

"Sure." Pointing at Kevin and Anderson, Penelope said, "Hey, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Get out!"

Anderson quickly stood up and said, "Alright Tweedle Dum, it's time to go."

"Why do I have to be Tweedle Dum?" Kevin protested.

"Because I'm smarter than you!" Anderson retorted.

As the hospital door closed both doctor and patient laughed as they heard Kevin declare that he was indeed Tweedle Dee and Anderson was Tweedle Dum.

"Okay Penelope, I'm going you're going to feel some pressure." Penelope winced and grumbled. The doctor looked up from under the sheet and asked, "Have you had constant back pain?"

Uneasily Penelope responded, "It's been constant, but nothing too painful. Why?"

"This baby is ready to come out."

Penelope's eyes widened, "No its not time. Derek's not here! Look he's on his way. Can't you stall or something?"

"I know you want Derek here but the fact that I'm still sitting here and not rushing for a nurse is not making anything better. Can one of the guys you were with step in until Derek get's here?"

"Uh, yeah." She mulled it over for a minute. Hurriedly she hollered, "Kevin!" as a contraction unlike any other she'd had before left her in excruciating agony.

The doctor tossed her gloves in the trash and left rather quickly. A few moments later Kevin was by Penelope's side with wide eyes and slightly shaking. "Penny, I'm honored you want me in here, but I'm not sure how helpful I'll be," he said nervously.

Through heavy pants, Penelope said, "Just….Now! Just keep holding my hand."

Kevin's knees buckled as Penelope squeezed his hand and she swore she could hear the sound of bone breaking in her ex boyfriend's hand. Kevin squeaked and placed his free hand on top of Penelope's in a futile attempt to loosen her grip.

The pain seemed to take over her entire body. She barely registered the nurses and doctor coming into the room prepping her to have her baby.

As if emerging from a tunnel Penelope finally took inventory of what was going on around the room, A nurse had adjusted her bed so she would be sitting up more. She understood it was to help facilitate the birth bat the angle she was sitting in was hurting the hell out of her back.

She wanted Derek there feeding her ice chips and rubbing her back like she'd seen on tv. She wanted two minutes of pushing followed by the wonderful sound of a baby cry followed by the man she loved looking down on her in pure adoration after the makeup crew came in and made her presentable again.

If she had to guess she looked like a drowned, panicking rat. Penelope was sweating profusely and she was sure she had a look of absolute terror in her eyes.

"Okay Penelope it's time to start pushing."

"But Derek-"

"I know you want Agent Morgan here but you do have a friend by your side...so let's get this little one out."

"Okay Dr. Gimbel."

"Now Kevin- Is that your name?-" Lynch dumbly nodded. "I need for you to leverage her up on my count of three. One..Two..Three"

He did what he was asked and Penelope almost laughed at how badly he was shaking. It wasn't like he was the one having the whimpered as he used his injured hand to help anchor her forward. he noticed that the pain in his own hand started to throb as well.

"Okay Penelope, I now want you to bare down as hard as you can okay?"

Without saying a word, Penelope did what the doctor requested.

"Now rest."

Many minutes later the doctor finally voiced that the baby was finally making progress, which in Penelope's pinion was fantastic because she never experienced pain like that. Even when she was shot she passed out immediately.

The doctor shifted the sheets and said, "Okay Penelope, the last few pushes are going to count the most. Kevin, I need for you to really support her because this baby will be here in a few moments."

Penelope patted Kevins now swollen hand and whispered thanks. She turned her head to look at him only to snort when she saw he had closed his eyes.

"Kevin, what are you doing and why are your eyes closed?"

"I don't wanna see," Kevin muttered, not opening his lids.

Penelope let out a loud laugh that startled lynch. "It's okay just keep holding my hand."

The doctor removed the sheet completely much to Penelope's delight. The fabric made her skin itch and increased her body temperature which was what she didn't need.

"Alright, are you ready?" Penelope nodded as she focused on her doctor.

Blindly, Kevin helped Penelope to sit up again so she could start pushing.

"I see a-"

The door flew open and Anderson with a panic stricken Derek Morgan right behind him.

Derek moved around Anderson to stand next to Penelope. If she hadn't been in so much pain she would have cried in relief.

"Baby, I am so, so sorry!"

"Hot Stuff, it's okay. You're here now."

"Oh, thank God!" Kevin exclaimed. He went to move, but stumbled.

"Lynch. Man, open your eyes."

"Hot Stuff, he doesn't want to see," Penelope explained.

Derek's forehead wrinkled in confusion. "Huh? Why not?"

"She's right. I just I might see something I can't unsee-"

As soon as the words flew out of his mouth they all heard a thud near the door. Penelope looked up and over her stomach to see Anderson scrawled out of the floor.

"Did- did he just pass out?" a nurse blurted.

The doctor's voice filled the room. "Bethany, I want you to guide Ray Charles over there out of the room." She pointed at Kevin. "Then find someone to take whomever that is scrawled out on my floor down to the ER. You-" She pointed at Derek. "Take her hand, hold her up and let's get your daughter out."

After a few moments of horrific pain followed by the feeling of expelling the baby from her body Penelope's body stayed rigid until she heard the loud cry of her baby,

The doctor held the squirming, furious baby who seemed none too pleased with leaving the safe warm place she had resided for the past eight months.

"Would you like to cut the cord?" Gimbel asked Derek, smiling up at him.

"Go on, Handsome, "Penelope coaxed.

After taking a fortifying breath Derek did as he was instructed. Immediately a nurse whisked the baby away to get cleaned up.

Derek once again stood beside Penelope and said, "I'm so proud of you baby girl."

"I'm just glad that you're here."

He gazed at her sweaty glowing face in a look he knew was nothing short of awe. He brushed her damp bangs out of her face and gently kissed her lips.

The doctor smiled at the couple cradling the baby in the pink blanket and said, "She's beautiful."

Derek just smiled as he watched the doctor place the baby in Penelope's arms. "Well, my job is here all done here. I'll have a nurse bring you two down Then you guys can fill out the rest of the paperwork and officially name her."

"Thanks again doc for taking care of my girls."

On her way out of the door the doctor blew on her nails and buffed them against her shirt. "It's all in a days work. Congratulations."

"Look at her, P. She looks just like you. She's beautiful."

"She looks like you, too, handsome. Look she has your eye color and your hair color. Ooh! She has dimples!"

Derek chuckled. "I guess Mama was right when she said we'd make a pretty baby."

This chapter is crazy long so I'm ending it here.

As always read and review!
