Thank you for the well wishes everyone. You are all truly kindhearted people :)
To the Guest who mentioned Best Friend's Brother by Victoria Justice: did you know this story was originally going to be called My Best Friend's Brother? I changed it to Oopsidaisy on a whim because the original title didn't exactly capture the essence of the chaos I was going for with the story, but haha yeah. So I thought that was pretty interesting you brought that up :D
A/N: Have any of you guys seen Austin North's arms in the promo pics for Stevie Likes Lindy? WTF?! His arms are so muscular! I flipped out when I saw the pics! I don't normally fangirl over guys cuz that's not really me (unless they're animated haha ;P), but good googly moogly! Even I couldn't stop the drool from falling (In case you didn't know, I have this thing for arms. Especially sexy, toned ones).
Thanks for the reviews! I appreciate them all so much! :)

Logan is suspicious.
Jasmine stared off into space, poking idly at the lumpy mess of hash browns on her plate with disinterest. She knew she should have been listening to Lindy, but she was too preoccupied with her own thoughts. She had been so preoccupied with her worries, in fact, that she hadn't been able to get much sleep, among other reasons.
Other stupid reasons that included having to get herself off while imagining it was Logan's hand down there touching her. Or his tongue…
Jasmine closed her eyes temporarily and shifted uncomfortably in her seat. She almost groaned when she remembered the way his lips had felt against her cheek and ear. He had barely touched her, and she was so painfully turned on. Still turned on even after spending all that time last night with her good friend Mister Vibrator. What the hell was wrong with her?
Her usual response to her intense need was usually to find someone to screw, but in her current state, she doubted any guy would fit the bill… Unless it was Logan. But she knew that wouldn't end well.
On the one hand, she wanted nothing more than to just crawl into his bed and get fucked senseless by him, but on the other, she had to stay the hell away from him! For the safety of her secret and for the safety of her sanity. And the safety of their friendship.
Speaking of their friendship… was it even there anymore? Sure, she knew they were still friends, but she also couldn't help but feel like they were slowly being torn apart. All these almost kisses and touches and awkward happenings and suspiciousness were ruining their dynamic. Now she was scared to be around him, and he was probably pissed at her for lying to his face. She didn't know when she would next see him, but she knew she had to avoid him now. Not just because she was scared, but also because he could read her like a book and was trying to get her to fess up.
Which brought her to her current dilemma. They had Econ on Monday together. She hated skipping classes, but she would have been willing to skip it if only they didn't have that quiz. There were two potential problems. One, she always sat next to Logan. If she didn't, then he would definitely know that she was hiding something huge, and he'd probably work that much harder to unveil it. And two, if she sat with Logan, he would probably interrogate her and bug her all through class. It was a lose-lose situation. Jasmine never got in lose-lose situations. She usually always had her life under control.
Until now.
Jasmine could feel her anxiety starting to rise. She felt sick to her stomach. What was she supposed to do now? She couldn't think. And it didn't help that the dining hall was full of students loudly chatting with their friends as they ate. She couldn't believe how crazy things had gotten. And this was all because she accidentally slept with her best friend.
'And hid it from him.' A voice that sounded suspiciously like Delia cackled in her mind.
"Hey Jasmine, are you gonna eat those hash browns?" Delia asked.
"Hmm?" She snapped out of her thoughts, "Oh. No. You can have them."
"Score!" Delia cheered, shoveling the lumpy, greasy mess onto her plate.
"You missed it Jaz." Lindy continued. "During halftime, Brent got the entire football team and cheerleaders and marching band to spell out to Delia that he loved her."
Jasmine frowned, confused out of her mind, "Wait what? Brent Kevler did?! Delia how did you respond?"
"She didn't." Lindy replied, an eyebrow raised sassily, "Because that never happened."
"What?"
"We know you weren't paying attention, Jasmine." Delia said jovially around a forkful of pancake. "We asked you a while ago if you wanted me to shit on your toast, and you nodded blankly."
"Gosh… I'm sorry guys." She said, sighing, "I've just got a lot on my mind with the whole Logan stuff. It's starting to take its toll on me."
"It's only been a week." Lindy said reassuringly. "He'll forget about his mystery girl and all of this soon enough."
Jasmine bit her lip, debating whether or not she should tell them about the latest development.
"I'd like to make a toast!" Delia announced to the two of them, lifting up her glass of orange juice, "A toast to the fact that we've made it through one truly terrible and nerve-wracking week since The Incident. Here's to another week of drama free, dense Logan fun!"
"Here, here!" Lindy said, tapping her cup against Delia's. "Here's to hoping he'll forget about this whole mystery girl BS and drop the issue soon. Right Jasmine?"
Jasmine tried to smile, but it came out as a grimace. Both Lindy and Delia picked up on her hesitation when she took a rather long drink of her water. Lindy placed her cup down on the table suspiciously.
"Jaz…" she said slowly, "Why are you making that face?"
"No reason." She squeaked, her voice cracking.
"You've got bags under your eyes," Delia pointed out mischievously, "Did you sleep with Logan again?"
"No!" Jasmine snapped, giving her a dirty look, "I just didn't get much sleep. Too much on my mind."
"Jasmine?" Lindy asked. "Did something happen after you left the game?"
She hesitated, but finally relented.
"Logan was super suspicious. He tried to trick me into telling him what The Incident was… by seducing me." Jasmine said, picking at her eggs with her fork, "And the worst part was… It kinda worked. I messed up and revealed something I shouldn't have."
There was silence.
Jasmine looked up to gauge her friend's reactions. Lindy and Delia were staring at her in slight shock, neither of their expressions and reactions to Jasmine's confession were able to be deciphered. And then Delia exploded into a barrage of laughter, slapping the table to calm herself down.
"Delia shut up! It's not funny!"
"Oh my God! Yes it is!" Delia started laughing harder, clutching her stomach and gasping to catch her breath, "He succeeded in seducing you?! How? What the hell did he do?"
It finally took Lindy and Jasmine both shoving a biscuit into Delia's mouth to shut her the hell up.
"Well what did you reveal?"
"I told him I didn't sleep with Garrett… He may not be that interested in investigating JK the one night stand all that much anymore, but he's definitely trying to investigate me. Which means I got out of the frying pan, and hopped face first into the fire." Jasmine groaned, plopping her forehead onto the table with a soft clang. "Dammit… I really messed up."
"Yeah." Delia said, "That was your cover, and that's been blown to bits and pieces."
"What are you going to do if Logan deduces you're the mystery girl JK?" Lindy asked, scootching her chair forward when someone tried to squeeze by.
"I have no idea what to do. I need your help guys!" Jasmine whimpered. "How do I control the situation? I need to contain the damage and fast. Before something gets fucked up."
"You could always just tell him the truth." Delia pointed out, stuffing her mouth with a sausage and gesturing to her with her fork, "The only reason he tried to seduce you is probably because he got the sense you were lying in the first place. Do you see how lies cause problems? The lesson from this that you should learn is that you should stop lying to him."
Jasmine stared at her dryly for a second before turning to Lindy. "Lindy? Got a better idea?"
"Actually…" Lindy stretched the word, popping some fruit in her mouth with a shrug, "I'm gonna have to agree with Delia on this one."
"Urgh…" Jasmine leaned back in her chair, rolling her eyes in exasperation, "So you're both saying I'm fucked."
"No. We're saying you should just reveal everything to him." Lindy responded, "Have a heart to heart. Before you guys ruin your friendship. And who knows, maybe this whole mess will blossom into a beautiful relationship for the two of you."
"I'm fairly sure Logan has no feelings for me…"
Jasmine frowned. But, that wasn't necessarily true, was it? Logan had reacted to some things pretty interestingly. Especially with the jealousy from the afternoon before. He wouldn't be so protective and behave that way unless he honestly had been peeved about her relationship with Garrett and Luke. Did Logan have feelings for her? Of course, there was the possibility that he had pretended just to get info out of her… but then again…
"Who the hell cares if he has feelings for you or not?" Delia said brusquely, "Would you rather he finds out some other way and then he never talks to you again?"
"I know… I don't want to ruin our group dynamic." Jasmine sighed, "But anyway, things have gotten way too out of hand and twisted to just reveal it. If I tell him now, after lying to him for forever, our friendship is as good as gone. I have to keep this going to the end."
"What kind of end are you even envisioning?" Delia asked hotly, "You know what I see if you continue this charade? A friendship in brambles. The loss of the best friend who understands you the best. You watching the guy you like end up with someone else while you sulk in the background, not even able to talk to him because he has decided to cut ties with you. Honestly Jasmine, you're in college. This isn't high school anymore. Own up to the mistake you've made and confront the problem head on. Yes, there will be consequences. Maybe good, maybe bad. But it's better than getting everyone else twisted and tied into your convoluted mess of a problem and him finding out in a worse way. Talk to him. Talk this whole thing out and discuss the problem. Discuss your relationship and figure out where this mess will leave you. That's the only way you can end this without ruining everything you guys have built for over a decade."
Lindy and Jasmine were left speechless, staring at Delia as if she had suddenly transformed into a mythical creature. Maybe she had. Honestly, they just could not understand how she had such insightful commentary to make when she acted so strangely most of the time. How the hell was she so good at that?
"Why are you guys staring at me like that?"
"Are you a secret genius, Deels?" Jasmine asked almost breathlessly.
"It's not a secret." She said smugly, crossing her arms against her chest, "I am a genius."
"Delia, I think you should write an advice column for the school paper." Lindy said. "Do you know how many girls would kill for good advice like that?"
"Well, I have been giving advice to the ladies in the nursing homes. I guess I could advise a younger demographic." She put her glasses back on and pulled out her notepad, scribbling into it furiously.
Lindy turned to Jasmine, "So what will you do?"
"I need time to think." Jasmine said quietly, "I know you both are right, but you don't know what this is like for me. It's easy for you guys to just say 'tell him', but do you know how scared I am to lose him? My unrequited crushing on him notwithstanding, Logan is like, my soulmate. I don't even mean it in a romantic sense. If I lost him, I think… I'd be losing a part of myself too…"
Lindy and Delia glanced at each other in concern before turning back to Jasmine, sympathetic looks on their faces.
"Jasmine, we get it." Lindy said, "We'll help you figure something out, but you do have to think about what you'll end up doing. If Logan is as suspicious as you say he is, then he's not going to let this rest until he figures it out."
"Yeah… I'll think about it." she sighed, uncrossing her legs and stretching dramatically. "I'm going for a jog guys."
"Okay Jaz, we'll see you later."
"See you back at the apartment."
Gathering up her dishes and her tray, she walked to the backed up dirty dish conveyor and set her tray on top of the already growing pile. She wrinkled her nose when some milk in a bowl almost splashed out at the impact. How long had the conveyor belt been backed up since the morning?
"Good afternoon."
Jasmine turned around at the almost sickly sweet voice and glowered at Tracy. Was Tracy here to pick a fight? Because Jasmine had her hackles up, and she was ready for her. But Tracy wasn't looking particularly peeved as she always did. In fact, her facial expression was more along the lines of haughty. She had this smugness to her expression that made Jasmine's eyes narrow.
"What do you want Tracy?"
"Nothing Jasmine Kang. Nothing at all…" Then she walked off with a final side look at Jasmine, a sharp, dangerous glint in her hazel eyes.
Jasmine felt apprehensive. She wasn't scared of Tracy—not by a long shot—but when bitches got had and wanted payback, they tended to fight dirty. Jasmine still remembered Tracy's parting warning on Friday night. And Tracy was Bitch Extraordinaire. Alpha Bitch of the pack. Jasmine would have to pay more attention. Who knew what that scheming bitch would try to do to her.
With that, Jasmine retied the laces of her sneakers and then exited the dining hall, beginning her long jog to clear her head.
