Holy crap. So I saw a promo. And I'm actually so scared to watch Falling for who... Like scared excited. JOGAN. AH. I'm probably going to scream the whole entire episode. JOGAN. AH. Damn I am loving this season so frickin much!
I ended up cutting this chapter in half because I wanted it to end a certain way. I'll see if I change it later this week.
A/N: Hey guys, so someone I am mentoring asked me a while ago how I learned and improved my English. And I thought, why not share what I said. I don't know if many of you are ESOL, but if you are, the best advice I can give you is this: Watch all your favourite movies in your first language. (I tend to stick with Disney movies ;D) Memorize as many of the lines as you can. Or better yet, memorize the entire movie. Then watch it in English. Learn the nuances of the speech and how slang works and certain phrasing and figure out what words mean from there. Use subtitles if you have to. I didn't have access to books written in English when I was learning, so I watched movies and episodes of TV shows. It really does help :) Then I would recommend taking a grammar class anywhere available. If you have more access to books than movies, use the same method, but with books. That's how I improved my English. I hope that was somewhat useful!
Thanks for the reviews! You all are such sweettarts! :)

Jasmine came to a stop in front of the gym near the edge of campus, stooping over to catch her breath after her run. She smiled triumphantly, swiping away the sweat dripping down her face. That had been such a clarifying, mind-opening run. She didn't know why she didn't run more often. It was such a great way to relax and take her mind off of things. Especially Logan related things.
Once her breath was caught, Jasmine straightened and retied her sloppy ponytail. She waved to a friend as she walked into the gym, heading to the workout room on the third floor. Most people called it "Dude Central" and stayed as far away from it as possible because of the lingering stench of BO and other nasty odors that guys working out seemed to exude, but that workout room had the best and freshest cold water fountain on all of campus. A trek up those annoying steps was definitely worth the satisfaction and relief.
Sure enough, as she opened the doors, a wave of male stink hit her straight in the face, and she scrunched her nose in disgust. She paid no heed to the odd looks from some of the guys—it wasn't often that any girl showed up there, afterall—and headed to the fountain. She took long, satisfying gulps of the water, enjoying the feeling of relief as it cooled down her body. Sighing happily, Jasmine stood back up and stretched her arms contently. Now that her workout was done for the day, she'd go stretch and then study for econ.
"Jasmine?" she heard from nearby.
Slowly, Jasmine felt every muscle in her body stiffen. The exact person she had been trying to avoid was working out right in this gym. All anxiety rushed right back to her, and Jasmine was suddenly reminded of Logan's lips against her ear and his later threat that he would find out what her secret was.
Fuck this! I'm outta here!
Panicking, she spun around immediately, averting her gaze completely.
"Wait! Caref–!"
And then Jasmine felt abrupt pain when her forehead collided with some very solid steel. A white flash and spots danced in her eyes, and she fell backwards with a groan before her vision darkened.
~.~.~
Moaning, Jasmine sat up groggily, bringing her fingers lightly to the throbbing on her forehead. Damn. She didn't know what she had run into, but that shit had hurt. Her head was pounding, and she felt a little dizzy and nauseous.
"You okay, Jaz?" Logan asked, sitting in a chair next to the cot she had been lying on. He looked like he was holding back a laugh.
She groaned, removing her hand from the bump when it started to sting, "Yeah… Where am I?"
"Trainer's. You hit your head pretty hard on a barbell." he snorted in amusement, "You must have a pretty hard skull. I think the barbell took more damage than you, what with the sound it made."
She gave him a dry, annoyed look.
"Logan, shut up." Then she winced when her head throbbed again. "God… My head hurts like a bitch."
"I think you got a concussion. The trainer went to go get some Tylenol for you." He said, helping her scootch forward to the edge of the cot. "Here."
He stepped in between her legs and tenderly placed the ice pack in his hand onto the bump on her forehead. She hissed a little when the pack made contact, but sighed and closed her eyes when the cold helped to diminish the pain from the injury.
"Feel better?"
She nodded, looking up to thank him, but then froze. Her eyes met his concerned azure gaze, and she suddenly realized he was a lot closer than she had thought. So close, in fact, that she could easily see the flecks of gold in his irises and catch the scent of his deodorant. Gasping in surprise, she quickly averted her gaze to the floor, her face heating up immeasurably. Out of her peripheral, she saw Logan's mouth turn down into a frown and his brow lift incredulously.
Crap.
Her reaction had been too strong. She knew what was about to come before he even asked the question.
"Okay, Jasmine. We need to talk about what the hell is going on with us."
She opened her mouth to respond. And then closed it again, sighing in defeat.
"Look, we're just a little messed up right now–"
"Because you're keeping a secret from me." he quipped.
"But," she shot him a quick glare, "it's not like our friendship is screwed up or anything."
"Jasmine, you lied to my face. More than once. And if you think I'm going to take this sitting down, you're wrong."
She frowned, "I didn't lie to you."
"Yes you did. You've been lying to me about something since you found out about the mystery girl I slept with." He asserted, still staring at her, waiting for her to look up again. Jasmine refused to.
"I… Well, there's…" she sighed, "Okay, so maybe I was a little secretive."
"A little?" He scoffed sarcastically. "Yeah, because The Incident is such a small secret."
Jasmine clammed up. Logan wasn't ever going to let this go, was he? She'd already planted the seed of doubt and suspicion in his head and now he planned to follow his suspicions through to the end. Lindy was right. Logan was deadset on figuring out what her deal was.
"So? What do you want me to do about it?" she muttered under her breath.
"I think some of the problems began with the whole mystery girl issue. So maybe if we get that issue out of the way and return JK's brush, then we can focus on fixing our problems." He took a deep breath, "And I think I know a way to fix this."
She also knew the easy way to fix this clusterfuck of a mess. All she had to do was tell him everything. And reveal to him what had happened. Or at the very least, come clean.
Jasmine's hands shook and she wrung the hem of her t-shirt anxiously. "Logan, I have to tell you something."
"Wait. Let me go first." He removed the dripping ice pack from her head and set it on the small table beside Jasmine. He moved back and leaned against the counter across from Jasmine's cot. "I know who the mystery girl is."
Jasmine's face fell entirely, and her eyes shot to his in shock. She could feel her insane pulse vibrating in her ears. He knew? She half expected him to reject her completely and tell her their friendship was done, but to her surprise, his expression didn't seem telling in the least.
"Logan, I can exp–"
"Well, I mean I will know. Or rather… I could know." He scratched his cheek and clarified.
The sigh of relief that passed through Jasmine slackened her entire body, and she slouched, momentarily closing her eyes and feeling ease. It was as she thought. She still definitely didn't want him to know at the moment. Now just wasn't the right time. But that brought on a whole other round of questions to what Logan had just said.
She narrowed her eyes, "Neither of us knows who the mystery girl is. We've looked for her for a week and didn't come close to finding out. So how could you possibly find out so easily?"
I swear if Delia is trying to sabotage…
"Okay so remember that promise we all made to each other? Freshman year?"
"Yeah… I remember." Freshman year, Jasmine had had a mental breakdown and an anxiety attack that left her unable to go to classes for almost a week. Her friends had stayed with her through it all and from then on, they'd all decided that they would always support one another through big decisions. But why was he bringing it up now? She could feel herself sweating nervously. "Why?"
"I need you to let this slide."
"You can't just say something like that and expect me to agree to it automatically." She narrowed her eyes dangerously, "What are you about to do?"
He grimaced. "…So I might be getting back together with Tracy. Just for tonight."
Jasmine stared blankly at him, her jaw tightening and her breath coming out short. She slowly rose a brow, her fists clenching and bunching up the bottom of her t-shirt. Logan had told her he had no interest in getting back together with Tracy. In fact, Logan had told her that he had no interest in Tracy right before he had almost kissed Jasmine! What the fuck was up with that? She knew she had no claims over what or who Logan wanted to do, but there was no way she was going to support this decision.
"What?" she growled lowly, pinning him with a displeased glare.
"Tracy told me she knows who the mystery girl is."
Wait, wait, wait. Hold on.
"Tracy?!" Jasmine exclaimed incredulously. There was no way she knew. Jasmine hadn't told anyone, and she doubted, even if Tracy had seen the comb, that she knew it belonged to Jasmine in the first place. How the hell could she know?
"She kind of propositioned me."
Of course she propositioned him. That was right up her twisted alley.
Jasmine rolled her eyes, "Let me guess. You can never talk to me again?"
"It's worse than that." he said, looking a little embarrassed.
Jasmine stared at him and somehow just knew from his discomfort and the slightly sheepish and apologetic look in his eyes exactly what the proposition was. Of course.
"What the hell? That's disgusting! Don't tell me you're actually considering it?"
Logan rolled his eyes, starting to get fed up. "Jasmine, I mean, if this will help us find the mystery girl, we can put this crap behind us and move on."
"There are a number of reasons why this isn't a good idea at all!"
Like the fact that I'm mystery girl. Like the fact that you'll figure out the incident from Tracy. Like that fact that you'll sleep with Tracy!
But it wasn't like she could say any of that.
"Like what? Hmm?" she could easily pick up on his irritation, "Don't you think I thought about that? And I figured this would be the best solution. I don't see what the problem is."
"So just to figure out who the mystery girl you slept with was, you're willing to sleep with Tracy? You don't see something wrong with that?" she shouted, blood boiling.
"No. Why the hell are you getting so mad?"
"Well then go right ahead you dumbass! Go ahead and ruin everything we've…"
Jasmine's eyes widened when she realized what was about to come out of her mouth, and she tapered off, hoping so badly that Logan hadn't heard her right. But Logan's eyes narrowed almost immediately, and he pushed himself off of the counter.
"Everything we've what?" he said slowly, stalking over to her.
"Nevermind." She said quickly, trying to change the subject, "I just don't think it's a good idea."
He was undeterred by her failed and pathetic attempt at a diversion and continued to approach her slowly, expression unbelievably pissed off.
"So you're going with more secretive stuff now?" he placed his arms on either side of her legs, leaning down a bit with a miffed expression on his face. "What were you about to say, Jasmine?"
Jasmine's breath caught. She had forgotten how imposing Logan could be when he wanted to. Especially since he was a lot taller than her. But she wouldn't be seduced. Not this time.
"I said nevermind Logan." She said sharply, sitting straighter and meeting his gaze head on, despite the fact that her heartbeat was drumming in her ears.
Something in Logan's eyes flashed momentarily in ire, but then Jasmine felt chills run down her back when his lips curled up into an alarming smirk.
"Fine. I think I'll just go tell Tracy I accept her proposal then."
She took in a sharp breath, "No!"
The smirk grew. "Why?"
Shit.
She was caught. And he knew it.
"The way I see it, Jaz, you can either answer my question. Or I can go find Tracy right now." He wasn't smiling anymore. "So why are you so against this?"
Delia's annoying words to just tell him the truth came up in her mind again, but despite the warnings going off in her head that she was about to make things a hell of a lot more complicated, she still didn't care. She could only think of one thing to say.
"Jasmine–"
"Because I like you, okay? There. I said it." she finally snapped, knowing there was no going back. "That's why I don't think it's a good idea. I don't want you to hook up with her, Logan."
His eyebrows rose slightly, his expression a bit astonished. Logan searched her eyes, the heat and intensity in his gaze slowly making Jasmine's face burn.
"You like me?"
"Yes, okay? Go ahead and laugh at me all you want, but there's the truth. And I don't care if you don't feel the–"
Her words were cut off abruptly when Logan curled his palms around her neck and brought his lips to hers without a word. Jasmine's breath caught, and she was stunned for a moment as heat flared in her chest and spread through her entire body. She was sure her heart had stuttered to a stop. And then Logan pressed harder, and she shuddered into the kiss with a sharp intake of breath. Her eyes fluttered closed, and she grabbed his t-shirt, dragging him closer before sliding her arms up his back, parting her lips and kissing him back with everything she had.
