Signed Sealed Delivered - Chapter 8

Main Pairing: Leon x Cloud

Warning: Male x Male Relationships, harsh language, AU, major OOC, characters from other games

A/N: To make up for the past two years. I uploaded this chapter a few days after the last one. Thank you for the wait ^^

When PS4 was released, I found a video of early working of KH3. It looked awesome, I want to play it, but then I realized it's for PS4… I was like "GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" like that T^T

Me and my friends, the poor gamers were all mourning that day. But it was hilarious, really. Because we talked about it for the whole day, but only could to stare at the machine in a game store from afar. It's beckoning us... gaaahhh... ==;

The game itself isn't released yet though. I don't know when they will release it.

Infinite thanks to Out-of-Character217 for beta-ing this story. Makoto ni arigato gozaimashita!

Don't flame me, please. It won't get me anywhere. Critiques and advices are much more appreciated.

"There's really nothing inside…"

Cloud was standing on his balcony that night, leering into Leon's balcony door. It was pitch black inside. He never really got a good look from his room before and to actually go inside was too… scary to be thought of. His house was a different story though; he'd had Zack with him that time. He'd been his backup in case something unexpected had happened. But his apartment room, even though it was just beside his own and even though Yuffie was there… He shook his head. No, that girl was no different. She'll just push me into the crocodile's lair with a smile on her face.

He frowned at the glass door. "What's he doing in that empty room anyway?"

"… Chasing my butt?" The blond panted heavily, his eyes blood shot.

"Well, yeah. You didn't respond to my calls or reply to my messages. What did you think I'd be doing here?" As expected, Cloud had already guessed what he would say next, but he never thought he would be so shocked like this himself.

"But…" Leon continued, "I still don't know if you're willing to give your butt to me or not." He said with a wicked grin.

He flinched sharply at the sudden remembrance, his ears reddened. "That bastard! Super ultra-mega, maniac pervert!" He fumed.

Another week passed and he realized that Leon's room was always dark at night. It seemed the brunet was in the apartment only in the day. He was always there to greet him in the morning and welcome him back in the evening. Sometimes he would lean on his balcony, grinning at him when he had to dry his laundry.

Cloud exhaled deeply, "Why do I have to be bothered by him now, after all this time?" He scratched his head absently, after one last glance into that dark empty room, he decided to go into his own room.

"I have to go to work tomorrow. Just forget about him already."

Who cares, was his last thought before unconsciousness beckoned him in to a deep sleep.

Zack was the only person Cloud could confide in. Ever since he'd lived alone in this town. He was a best friend, a brother figure, he was everything to him. So, if he wanted to talk about something he didn't want to talk to someone else about, or talk about something he couldn't easily say to someone else, he would talk to Zack. Zack actually wasn't the best adviser in the world; he could even be a nag to Cloud. But at least he was the best listener Cloud had ever had in his life.

So, today, after his deliverys were done, Cloud looked for the raven haired man in his workshop.

He was still bothered by it after all.

"Hey, Zack." The blond called. He was sitting on the back of Zack's yellow truck, thumping its side with a screwdriver before Zack snatched it from him and slipped it into his oversized tool belt.

"Don't mess around with my tools. What's wrong, you look down."

"No, it's just…" He paused. "Zack, have you ever gone into Leon's apartment?"

"Nope." Zack shook his head. "Just outside. Why?"

Cloud was silent for a moment, then shrugged. "I thought maybe… he doesn't really live in that apartment. I didn't see any furniture in it."

Zack laughed. "Well, of course. His real house is that big mansion downtown. About the furniture though, maybe it's because he just moved in, right?!"

"But it's already been a few weeks."

Zack boosted himself up, sitting beside Cloud on the truck.

"What? It's not like you to actually ask about someone else."

Cloud gasped sharply. "No! No-no-no-nothing. Just a bit curious, that's all." He said with a stutter.

"Curious? Eehhh… " Zack leaned back, propping himself up with his stiffened arms behind him. He stared at the roof. "So, you finally developed the same sickness as him?"

"What?

The older man turned his head aside to him, grinning. "You think I'm stupid enough not to realize the way Leon always looks at you, huh?!"

The blond's blue eyes grew as wide as saucers. His mouth was open but nothing come out of it. He almost choked when he tried to gulp and talk at the same time. "Bu-but how? Since when-"

"Since when did I know about his feelings?" Zack cut in. Cloud nodded. "Hm…" He scratched his cheek with his forefinger. "Well, I think for quite a while. When we were talking between your jobs that day, he shot me a dagger look from his balcony. I didn't know him at that time, so I ignored it. Then I saw in my rear view mirror he came over to you after I left. He looked really jealous." He ended his explanation with a snicker.

So he's known it from the very first time! He'd always thought he'd known Zack well enough. Now he felt like he was the one who was stupid. As it turned out, there was more to this man than met the eye. But that was why Zack had always been a reliable man anyway, so he didn't really feel offended by this.

"I also sorta confirmed it that day when we met for the first time. You know, when you went on a rampage in the bathroom?!"

Cloud thumped his forehead into his palm. That cursed day… As much as he wanted to, he couldn't forget.

Zack chuckled. "When he accosted me in front of your apartment he was smiling, but his eyes looked like he wanted to kill me or something."

"I'll kill his sorry ass first before he lays a finger on you." Cloud grumbled peevishly. Zack laughed out loud.

"Why don't we visit him now?" He said suddenly.

"What?" Cloud looked at the raven haired man like he'd sprouted some glittering mushrooms from his head.

Zack grinned. "It's almost dinner time."

End note: Zack, you actually… ==;

Anyway, I thought I've finished the next chapter. But, please wait again for a bit, okay. ^ ^
