Thanks every one for supporting this story sorry it took so long. Enjoy! Please let me know what you think.

"You don't have to lie for him, he can't hurt you any longer Trixie." Trixie was baffled by the nurse's shrewd attempt at sympathy.

"HE DIDN'T DO IT I SWEAR!" How did things come to this, she wished she had spoken up sooner.

Kyle had somehow managed to convince the entire school staff that he was a helpless victim in the matter. According to him he had only tried rescuing Trixie from Jake's forceful advances. You see, Jake was no angel in the eyes of his teachers.

They often thought him a troublemaker, which Kyle was totally aware.

The Wilkins boy would use his charm to get what ever it was that he wanted, and right now that was a defeated Jake Long and a defenseless Trixie Carter.

"Bullshit!" Jake yelled pacing back and forth outside of the office. There was no way he was going to let Kyle get away with this. Jake could never bring himself to lay his hands on a woman unless she was some bloodsucking creature from another dimension, but hey that didn't count. He would never abuse Trixie, she was his best friend, his confidant, and in a way his conscience, always there to talk him out of his stupidity.

At the sound of Jake's profanity nosy students and teachers poked their heads outside of their class ignoring their daily lesson to get in on the action. The security officer Eddie had been instructed to supervise Jake while Trixie was questioned in the principals' office. Kyle had already been questioned and was send to home to further tend to his wounds. His Father was requested to pick him up. It was beyond irresponsible to have him drive himself home with such terrible bruising.

"Jake never abused me, Kyle did this to me." She pointed to the red welts on wrist.

"Me and Jake been tight since we was both in diapers, he would do anything to protect me. "

"That hooligan should get what's coming to him!" Professor Rotwood countered Trixie's remark. "He's always causing trouble." Trixie glared at him for slandering her best friend due to his own mishaps with Jake and trying to prove his dragon identity to the world.

"Hans!" Principal Derceto intervened. "Trixie I've been over hearing students and their countless rumors, did he at all force himself upon you or touch you inappropriately in anyway? "

"UGG NO!" The frustrated girl snapped. She felt insulted on Jake's behalf.

"It was all Kyle! I swear on my Grandma's life."

"This was his second attempt …" Every one when silent "Kyle…He raped me… Kyle raped me. " Trixie said though broken spirit, her lip quivered uncontrollably from her failed attempt to hold in her cries.

"Why didn't you tell anyone before?" Asked the concerned principal. Professor Rotwood held a look of shock, while Nurse Karen looked to be a bit of a skeptic.

"I don't know." Trixie sobbed shrugging her shoulders. She didn't know if it was because she was embarrassed or frighten, or just ashamed.

Dolores Derceto could see the sincerity in the students' eyes. She too was of the magical world a mermaid only disguised as a paraplegic. And as a detective she could see the truth was right before he eyes.

Derceto knew the American Dragon would never harm the innocent. Sure Jake was rough around the edges but he had a heart of gold. A diamond in the rough she saw him as. Rolling her wheel chair around the oak desk she took a moment to try to sooth the weeping girl of her erratic sobs. "There, there Trixie, it's alright." She patted the girls back.

Trixie's eyes were puffy and red, no matter how eager Hans Rotwood was to expose Jake he too could also see Trixie was being truthful. Jake was more than loyal to the people he cared about and his friends Spud and Trixie were equally as loyal to him.

Nurse Karen on the other hand needed a lot more convincing she never liked Jake and didn't care to start now.

"That doesn't explain how Jake walked away without a scratch. He must have been the attacker." She puffed. "He must have threatened Trixie into covering for him."

"Karen! That is completely unacceptable, accusing a student blindly on pure spite. "

She folded her arms and rolled her eyes in annoyance. Principal Derceto would be speaking to Karen on this matter later due to her lack of professionalism.

"Did you see the scratches over Kyle's left eye, I did that to him when he attacked me isn't that enough proof for you. Aren't there cameras in the halls!?"

"If Jake hadn't been there"…..She cried once more shaking her head in disbelief.

They all did see the scratch above Kyle's eye that shown to the white meat. It was more likely that a small female would use her nails in defense as opposed to a well physique young man that could hold his own in a fight. With the amount of strength Jake possessed using his nails would be a last resort.

But before anyone came to a final conclusion they needed to hear Jake's side of the story.

"Alright send in Mr. Long and have a seat out in the hall, well get to the bottom of this." Trixie stood up from the spinning desk chair that held such comfort from its memory foam cushions. Turning the knob of the door she stepped into the hall wiping away at any shed tears. She saw the rage and defeat written on Jake's face. He had been holding his composure to the best of his ability trying not to break and throw things at the expense of his frustration.

Eddie the security guard simply just leaned against the wall, after all this was the most action that had happened since the new semester started in autumn.

"Jakey-boi, they called you in." Trixie lowered her dark curly lashes. Jake looked down at the girl he towered over, searching her eyes for reassurance.

"Don't worry Jake the ball is in our court right now." With that the young man held his shoulders high entering the dreadful principals office he became all to accustom to. He glanced back once more at his friend for a boost of much needed confidence, her soft smile was all that it took.

Jake had been scolded and lectured to by his authority figures and had been suspended from school for 2 weeks.

"Some how your always the center of trouble every time I turn around." Dolores acknowledged, her tone stressed with annoyance.

"Next time you need to come to me first!" She huffed. "But it's only fair to hear your side of the story." She sighed pulsing her index finger toward her temple.

Jake's piercing black orbs stared deeply into her own, eager to be understood.

"Me and Trixie always meet up at the same time every day for lunch, so when she didn't show up. I went to go look for her. " Professor Rotwood nodded in agreement, those two were joined at the hip since they first started at Filmore high and even more recently oddly enough.

"I figured she would be at her locker so I went up stairs, as soon as I got around the corner I saw that bastard with his hand up Trixie's skirt pinning her to the floor." Jake explained in disgust.

"She was crying out for him to stop, right then in there I lost it. I just blacked out and my body just took over. But I'm glad I kicked that son of a bitch's ass."

"Jake Long there will be no profanity permitted in this school."

"Oh my bad. Well I only ruffed him up a little, he got lucky." Jake said coldly, the nurse sneering at him as if her point was proven. "My main concern was Trixie once I came to my senses."

Nurse Karen grew frightened at the thought that Jake hadn't given Kyle the worst of his punishment.

"I wanted Trixie to come forward before and press charges against him but he threatened her. She begged me to stay out of it 'let it go Jake'." He mock in a girly tone of voice. "Incase you weren't aware Kyle raped her two weeks ago, he didn't even get half of what's coming to him." Jake threatened.

"Those are serious allegations …" Informed Nurse Karen before Jake cut her off.

"Well it's true!" He answered flatly.

The rest of that meeting went well in Jakes favor. Principal Derceto called the local law enforcement to look into the allegations made against Kyle, but he had fled his home and his parents were nowhere to be found either. A warrant was made for his arrest and word quickly spread around town. Jake vowed under his breath that the coward would suffer just as he made Trixie suffer.

The halls were filled with gossip. Even with all that had transpired both Trixie and Jake still had to serve their time in detention. The hour was at its end and the two teens stood in the schools lobby illuminated with florescent light bulbs. Other students that had detention descended from the stair well, they dared not ask details of the earlier situation from fear of being pummeled. The sky was as dark as midnight at that six o'clock hour.

"Doing any amdrag stuff later?" Trixie randomly asked as if nothing had happened. After all she couldn't think off much else to say. She was simply grateful that her attacker could harm her no more, well at least with Jake around finally giving her the attention she always wanted. Jake blinked at her reluctant statement. He pulled her into a heart felt embrace practically reading her mind.

"Get a room!" Snickered a converse clad boy covered in freckles.

"I KNEW IT! YOU OWE ME 20 BUCKS!" One student with red hair gasped at her curly haired best friend after making a bet that Jake and Trixie were exclusive. Trixie's cheeks were rose tinted though her sienna complexion. Jake caught a glimpse of her blush feeling a warm sensation in the pit of his stomach.

He glanced down at his knockoff Rolex his beyond cheap Grandpa gave him for Christmas. The time read six o'clock.

"Hold on wait for me there's something I gotta do." With that he left Trixie sitting in the lobby of their high school prison. Jake had a promise to fulfill and he was sure not to break it.

"So you made it." Rose's lips curled into a sly smile, her arms sliding around Jake's shoulders to the base of his neck. He had met with her at the old clock tower just like he said he would. Rose tried guiding Jakes head in for a smooch, but was highly insulted when he jerked his face away from her hold.

"WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM JAKE!" She screamed.

He shook his head, his eyes fuming with flames.

"The hell is my problem? You have been blowin' me off for months now castin' me to da side till you feel like being bothered with! Now all the sudden you wanna get all buddy buddy!"

"You lie! You're the one running around fucking your so called bestie!"

"What!? I never cheated on you not once." A vein popped in his neck.

"Oh please, you think I haven't heard what people have been saying? " Rose threw her dainty hands onto her hips.

"RUMORS, THAT'S ALL THEY ARE!" He yelled frustrated.

"Honestly Jake I see the way you look at her!" Rose sneered.

"Your seriously trippin'." Rose rolled her eyes at Jake's words. "Why are you always tryin' to flip the script! This is about me and you! Every time I address a problem with you, you always tryin' to throw it back off on me! " Rose laughed from a malicious nature clearly at a lost for words. "But you know what! IT'S OVER, I'M DONE! It's over Rose. "

"Fine! I hope you and your dumb whore will be happy together, somebody has to put up with your sorry ass!" She screamed to his back as he walked away.

"FUCK …YOU!" Jake yelled defensively while displaying his middle finger. What a rough day. His true intentions were to break things off on good terms, but at least he got the chance to get that off his chest.

Jake made his way back to the school lobby. Trixie looked up from her novel noticing Jake's reddened face and shortness of breath. The never under his left eye continued to throb. He plopped down in the seat next to her puffing out a ragged breath.

"You all right Baby boi?" Trixie placed her hand around his fore arm. He puffed again looking away for a moment but quickly demonstrated the cheesiest fakest smile she'd ever seen. "I broke up with her." His smile dropped. Even though their relationship had been broken for months now it still hurt to know that it was over just like that even if it was his decision.

"Im sorry Jakey." She rubbed his back in circular motion indicating her concern.

"I'm cool." He took in another breath break ups were never easy but he'd be dammed if he was going to cry because of it.

DA DO DA DA DOO DOO

A jest of vibrating motion could be felt from his pocket. "Yo?"

"Hey bro! I'm back!" the voice on the other end of the phone expressed with glee.

"Awesome Spud!" Jake said though a large grin, yea Trixie was his best friend too but there was nothing like a true bromance to get you through your darkest of troubles.

"You and Trixie should meet me at Jonny's Pizza!"

"Alight then see you in a few." He ended the conversation and turned his attention back to Trixie.

"What's Spud doing back so early?'" She asked

"Hmm, don't know but he wants us to meet him in a few."

Rose Hunter barged into her bedroom clawing at any reminder of the love she and Jake once shared. She had her eye on someone else unbeknownst to his knowledge but she still loved him, so she may have secretly even cheated once or twice but he's didn't know so what gave him the right to stray from her? She had only become distant due to her new mission but she didn't need to explain herself. The thought fueled her with anger.

"No body dumps the Huntsgirl and gets away with his head." Rose screeched while sniping Jakes head off a snapshot of the two from their first real date. She honestly was planning to dump him, she just hated that he beat her to the punch. She swore on every bone in her body that she would have her revenge; she gave up every thing and every one she loved for him and that was how her repaid her. She grabbed Jake's large tee he left at her house after a pool party that she slept in as a nightshirt. Zooming down the stairs she threw the cloth over the flames of the fireplace along with a few other items that once held sentimental value. She then watched as Jake's photo deteriorated in the blazing inferno.

The fire dance and flickered as Rose's expression began to display a sort of deranged look. She had sworn she saw the face of her beloved Huntsmaster it was as if her was trying to tell her something as though he was directing her toward her destiny. There would be no mercy for the American Dragon.

"Wait so all of this has been going on since I left town?" Spud questioned in disbelief.

"YEP!" Both Jake and Trixie voice in perfect synchronization.

"WOW! And I thought shit was crazy at Aunt Janis'. That was a nightmare."

"What happened?" Jake raised his brow.

"Fill you in later, I still need to talk to Stacy. But are you alright Trix?" He held his female bestfriend's hand in concern only in a way Spud would show it.

Spud was across from her in the small booth while Jake sat beside her.

"OMG! I knew it you cheating spaz. With that! You could at least have better taste than that!" Stacy whined in the all to familiar insulting pitch.

"NO!" Gasped Tracy and Lacey.

Startled Spud snatched his hand from Trixie's quickly throwing himself at Stacy's feet like some thing from a Shakespeare performance.

"It's not what it looks like my love! I only have eyes for you."

"SAVE IT!" Jake was surprised to see tears forming in Spud's eyes.

"YO STACY! My boy Spud here has been faithful to you this whole time, guess you haven't heard but Trix is my girl!" Jake announced to the small pizza parlor buzzing with gossip as he pulled Trixie in to his lap.

"Right Baby?" Jake motioned for her to play along but she was to dumbfounded from being so close to him to even think straight. He then planted a peck on her berry-tinted cheek. The chemistry and the spark roaring at the pit of their stomachs didn't go unnoticed by either of the two.

Both Stacy's and Spud's mouths gaped to the floor in utter shock. Never in a million years did she think they'd end up together although they did have a lot in common.

"You mean to tell me you two losers are dating!" She stared in disbelief. Both Jake and Trixie nodded.

"AH HA HA HA HA HA HA!" She laughed hysterically, soon to be followed by Tracy and Lacey.

"Yeah I know right!"

"Right. Like why would anyone would fall for these lames. Ugg!"

"Ok potato boy you've got one more chance. Now carry my books to our table."

"Yes my sweet as you wish! I'll catch up with you guys later, I didn't know you were dating."

Trixie chuckled and shook her head. "Honestly Jakey I don't know what he sees in that girl."

"I don't know Trix but there's somebody out there for everybody." Jake grinned caressing her back. She blinked realizing she was still seated in his lap blushing beyond control. She leaped from his thigh onto the forest green cushion of the seat though she seemed to be sitting closer to him than before. Jake reached into his pocket fiddling with a round silvery object.

"What is that Jake?"

"I don't know, I found it last night when I was looking for you."

"Let me see." Trixie observed the little crest only to cut her index finger on it's jagged edges. "OWW!"

"You ok? Hmm. " It was a deep cut now leaking a thick amount of blood. Jake glided his tongue along the wound.

"UGG JAKE, that's nasty!"

"What dragon spit heals cuts faster."

Trixie rolled her eyes. I'll be right back. "You know you like it." Jake winked while Trixie crosses her leg over his to get to the opening of the booth.

"What eva." She play smacked the back of his head.

"She loves me." He told himself leaning into the seat.

Standing at the sink of the girl's bathroom she observed her deep gash, it burned like hell and seem to be pulsating almost like a parasite was crawling threw it.

"What the?!" It stopped suddenly. "Way…weird." She washed her hands and wrapped her finger in a makeshift bandage there was nothing worse than getting pizza sauce into a fresh cut. As gross as it was for Jake to lick her finger the bleeding did manage to stop.

She looked at her reflection fixing her heat straightened waist length hair. She noticed her eyes appeared to have a luminous bluish glow. She blinked hard then splashed her face with cool water thinking she was just seeing things. Her eyes were the same deep chocolate they always were when she took a second glance. "I need some rest, ya losing it Mama Trixie." She told herself on the way back to the table.

"Took you long enough, number two? " Jake teased. Trixie looked mortified.

"Boy shut up!" She spat out her tongue. She plopped back into her seat taking a sip of her root beer that arrived during her time in the ladies room.

"You alright?" Jake asked after watching the most bizarre expression take life on Trixie's face. Her eyes appeared to be jumping around in her head.

"Huh…Oh.. yeah." She paused a moment unable to fathom the intensity of his gaze. Trixie directed her eyes past his shoulder.

"That guy over there keeps staring at us."

"Who?" Jake turned swiftly only to feel a whack of pain in his back.

"Owww!"

"Don't make it look so obvious stupid." Jake rubbed the aching area of skin. Trixie seemed to enjoy whopping the mess out of him more often than usual. Maybe it was just an excuse to touch him.

"Dang, my bad!" He chuckled lightly. "Let me get a better look, I'll be right back. Want a refill?"

"Yeah here." The girl handed her pretend boyfriend the glass as he slyly caught a glimpse of the mysterious being on the way to the fountain.

"Eye's of the dragon." He spoke under his breath. The iris of his eye glowed like a burning ember and his pupils became reptilian like slits. His heightened dragon sight magnified every thing in the diner. He could clearly make out the lanky figure a young man with prying eyes on Trixie like a lion stalking a young gazelle. The blue veins running through his tawny colored neck were very visible and made chills run down Jake's spine. Who ever he was he was not of this world. There was something unnatural about his eyes. They were nothing like his onyx human eyes. They were sinister up against his blank lifeless expression. He looked possessed. The black hoodie just made him look like the freak of the week even more.

Jake quickly filled the cups with root beer and cream soda mixed. The American Dragon was clearly uneasy of the other male's gaze. Most people looked away when they were discovered for staring, but this guy didn't budge.

The bronze skinned teen scurried back to their booth to join his female counter part.

"Dam he got a starrin' problem or somethin'." Trixie puffed annoyed.

"I know right, hell if I didn't know any better I'd think he's got the hot for you. "

"Hmph! He wishes he could have some of dis'. But seriously Jake he's creepin' me out!"

"I'll give him five minutes then I'll knock his lights out for you, Kay." He laughed.

At that moment the waitress arrived at the table with a piping hot pie. "Here's your half meat lovers half cheese pizza. Is there anything else I can do for you guys tonight? " She asked setting them upon the table.

"No thanks." Jake smiled in gratitude.

The waitress then placed a container of red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese on the table.

"Let me know if you guys need anything."

"We will." Jake said through a stuffed mouth, Trixie simply nodded.

The waitress grabbed the menus swing her tousled brown pony tail as she walked away.

Once she was out of the way the two couldn't help but notice the hooded young man was gone. Jake looked to Trixie in disbelief. "That was weird as fuck!" He expressed.

"Hmmm. Ya think Jakey boy." She blinked. Trixie adjusted the make shift bandage before fixing her plate. Jake was already on his third gooey slice. A large dollop of tomato sauce adorned his full lips, then spilled on to his chin.

"Boy, I swear you eat like a little kid."

"Well dang, MOM!" He rolled his eyes. Trixie took a deep red cloth napkin from the table setting aside the eating utensils from within. She carefully removed the contents of food from his face. Her eyes slowly traveled from his chin to his lips up to his dark eyes. Jake met her eyes for a few moments until Trixie bashfully turned away. She shoved her own slice between her lips. Jake swiped a chunk of marinara on the tip of her nose playfully.

"Ugg!" She giggled.

"Now who's the child." Jake smirked.

"Pfft. Boy please, I'm grown."

"Almost."
