See I promised I'd have chapter 9 up :) enjoy. Please comment and review.
"You sure?" Trixie asked the disoriented young man. Spud's face only turned bright red when he was very upset much like right now.
"I said I'm fine."
"Chill Trix." Jake whispered to her, he knew Spud needed time to calm down.
"I'm gonna head home I'll see you guys later." Spud thought it was best to remove himself until he was in a better mood. The last thing he wanted to do was blow up at his friends they were only trying to help in fact the only ones that showed they cared for him. They were his real family.
"See you later man." Jake said. Spud exited the room leaving the other two teens behind.
Jake and Trixie sat silently until they were sure Spud was out of the house.
"Poor Spud, I wanna know what happened. That ain't like him Jakey. Some body musta done somethin' to him."
"Donno Trix, he'll come around. At least I hope so." Jake looked down at Trixie's legs again they seem to glisten in the sunlight seeping in from the window. Maybe he was imagining things but it appeared magical in a way. His finger traced the skin from her knee to her thigh.
"Jakey! What are you doin'?"
Jake studied her face for a moment. "Your legs are glowing."
"Jake you feeling ok, you didn't hit your head did y…" Her voice was silenced as Jake's lips met with her own.
Her eyes widened in shock then fluttered shut inviting his tongue to play with her own. She pull back to gaze into his dark eyes. Jake's hand caressed Trixie's outer thigh nearing his face close to hers, she glanced at his full lips then crawled into his lap deepening their lip lock. Jake leaned back into the bed, enjoying the pressure of Trixie's weight on top of him. His arms wrapped around her waist massaging her curves. Her body grew warmer, the area between her thighs felt moist. Her body began to take over, her hips grinded against his. Jake felt himself grow larger. He could feel her warmth through his basketball shorts. The brown skinned beauty felt a hard bulge massage the skin beneath her panties.
"Mmmm." She moaned. Jake's breathing grew heavier. He wanted to roll on top and take her right now.
"Trixie I make you and your friends some cookies." Grandma Louise barged through the door. "WHAT THE HELL!"
Jake's heart nearly jumped out of his chest. Trixie felt embarrassed and frightened for dear life, all at once, quickly climbing from off of the boy's sweaty body.
"OUT!" The old woman raised her voice at Jake. He knew Trixie's grandma wasn't one to play with unless you wanted to get whooped with a switch she didn't care how old you were. "And you get some dam clothes on walking around like that, I know I raised you better than that." Trixie's long tee shirt had rode up revealing her lace panties.
"Grandma it's not what it looks like." She quickly covered herself.
"I don't wanna hear it. I'm scheduling you a doctors appointment."
Jake was still in the door way looking like he was on cloud nine. His mind wandering back to that naughty place again.
"You two won't be makin' no babies under my watch. Your getting on birth control."
"And I hope your using protection young man." Trixie's face turned a shade of red.
"You kids are in such a hurry to grow up you got all the time in the world for that. That dammed hip hop music y'all be listenin' to putting these silly ideas in y'alls heads." She mumbled in frustration.
Trixie was mortified, her grandma could be so bold.
"Mrs. Carter I would never disrespect your home like that. I wouldn't have allowed it to go that far. I just got lost in the moment."
"It's true Grandma we were only kissing."
"HUSH CHILD! That one moment is all it takes. But you seem to have a good head on your shoulder James so I gonna give you one more chance. But ain't gone be no hanky panky up in here."
"Now y'all eat these here cookies, making me miss my show. Where'd that Potato go?"
"He left."
"Oh, well I'm watchin' you!" she warned before slamming the door, running for the couch and turning all her attention towards the flat screen TV.
Jake leaning against the door breathing out a puff of smoke. He was so nervous.
"I can't believe after all these years she still thinks my name is James."
"BA HAHAHHAHAHHA!" The two burst in laughter.
Trixie wrapped her arms around Jake shoulders his hands resting on her hips. They looked into one anothers eyes for a moment and kissed once more.
"AND Y'ALL LEAVE THAT DOOR OPEN!"
"Dang she got radar or somethin'. What are we gonna do with her?" Trixie complained.
"Don't know baby." Jake squeezed Trixies plump backside.
"So… how long have you been waitin' to do that?"
"Hmm. I don't know maybe seven hundred thirty two days. Maybe longer, some thing like that."
"Mhum." She lifted her arched brow. She wasn't sure whether to be disturbed or flattered.
"So I don't have to go to school and your allowed two days off what do you want to do?" He slyly rubbed her shoulders.
"Eat! I'm so hungry." She said stuffing a chocolate chip cookie into her mouth.
Jake grabbed a few to munch on. He sat Indian style on the floor opening the doors to Trixie's chestnut wardrobe revealing her high definition flat screen. In one of the drawers he scurried through her endless supply of video games.
"Dang Jakey, you think you can just go though ma stuff with out askin' now?" Trixie teased.
"Cause I can." Jake simply smirked, then stuck out his lizard like tounge. "Wanna play?"
"Nope, I'm bout to fix me something to eat. "
"Good, go make me a sandwich!" Being half dragon he quickly worked up an appetite even though he ate before arriving here.
"Make you a sandwich? What I look like the maid?"
"Naw, you look like my woman!"
"I want extra pickles." He bluntly stated. Trixie blushed like crazy, so much that she couldn't even argue with him. She tried to suppress her girly giggles. She felt butterflies in the pit of her stomach, she wanted to scream at the top of her lungs and jump up and down singing to her favorite 90s love song. After yanking the boy's head to steal another kiss she once again tried to playfully smack his neck. Jake reflexes were at an all time high thanks to his hormones and before her hand made contact he caught her wrist pulling her into his lap.
"Nope, no you don't." He spanked her hard on her round toosh watching it jiggle back into to place.
"You freak!" She giggled ignoring the sting.
"You know you like it baby. Now go make my samich!"
Jake and Trixie had finished their late lunch, confiding in one another about their troubles.
"I asked her not to tell them, it's better they don't know." Trixie informed Jake of the conversation she had with her grandmother about the whole Kyle ordeal.
"I don't want them to come all the way here just to feel sorry for me."
"Trixie." Jake gave her a stern look. "They have a right to know."
"It's not about feeling sorry for you. When the people you love are hurting you just wanna do every thing you can to make it right again."
"Love?" Trixie's big coco orbs peered into his eyes.
"Yeah." He tenderly kissed her.
Trixie laid her head into the pillow Jake laid beside her starring at her lavender ceiling. He appeared to be thinking deeply about something. Trixie only wondered silently. She nuzzled closer to him laying her head on his chest.
"I'm tired." She yawned, her eyes grew heavy drifting into sleep. She was soon followed by her new boyfriend.
Upon closing his eyes Jake's dreams took on a life of their own. Figures ran about a hazed battlefield like an abstract painting mused from rage and hatred. Thousands of skulls scattered the earth searching for their bodies. They cursed in an eerie dead language. A masked silhouette trampled over the skulls on horseback he drew his sword aiming at Jake, his target.
He spoke these words. "Some one you love might get hurt!" As he neared closer he became familiar. The masked resembled the skull of a dragon.
"HUNTSMAN!" Jake's body rippled into the likeness of serpent, spitting fire toward the Huntsman's direction. He vanished in thin air leaving Trixie in his place.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Jake wailed watching his love burst into flames. He had been flying so fast he couldn't redirect his path. SNAP! His large reptilian body had crushed the girl on impact snapping her little neck like a bird. He shifted into a human teenager. His eyes burning threatening to spill tears. Jake mighted her head watching it dangle loosely with no sign of life.
"TRIXIE! NOOOOOOOOOO!"
"TRIXIE!"
"JAKE!" Trixie shook his shoulder trying to wake him. He began kicking and swinging his arms about knocking Trixie in the nose.
"Oww!" She slapped his cheek so hard her handprint became red and very visible on his golden beige skin. His eyes flashed open.
"What were you dreaming about?" She asked rubbing her nose.
Jake rubbed his face. "NOTHING!" He lied. "Why does my face hurt? What happened to your nose?" He grabbed her face paranoid at the blood he saw streaming from her nostril. Trixie just starred at him like he was a little on the crazy side.
"You busted me in the face while you were sleep."
"I'm so so sorry." Jake tenderly cusped her face in his palms. "I'm so glad your ok!" He hugged her so tightly rolling on top of her, she could barely breath.
"Jakey." She giggled.
The door barged open "I though I told y'all no hanky panky!" Grandma Louise pulled Jakes underwear giving him a mondo weggie. She instantly though the worst after hearing Jake cry out Trixie's name from down stairs.
"OUT!"
"YES MAM, YES MAM!" He squealed.
"You.. you on lock down child, no granddaughter of mines is gonna be making any babies under my watch!"
Trixie giggled watching her grandma toss Jake out of her room like a rag doll. It reminded her of the way Uncle Phil from 'Fresh Prince' would throw Will. Jake and Grandma disappeared on the other side of her door. She waited ten seconds then stepped on to her balcony and just as predicted Jake was perched on the edge of the rail like Romeo sneaking of to see Juliet in the night.
"Get down off of there before you fall."
"Ha ha, I can fly remember." Jake rolled his eyes. "I'm bout to head over to Gramps' shop wanna come too?"
"Yeah let me get my shoes." The dark haired girl now clad in baggy green cargo pants a navy blue zip down hoodie and a white midriff baring crop top slipped on her black vans. She hopped on the back of the magnificent beast that appeared to be a normal human boy moments earlier.
It was midday and the air was dry and chilly. Fall was beginning to unleash it's self. Trixie could not understand why Jake and Spud continued to dress like it was 90 degrees outside. Jake had worn a white beater and black basket ball shorts lined in a white trim with red and black Jordans. Spud chose khaki shorts, a green polo shirt and a pair of grey low top Converse.
Jake leaped from the edge of the balcony descending like the car of a rollercoaster speeding from a hill of tracks.
Trixie felt her stomach flutter; she hugged her body to his to ease her fear of heights. The hair of his black and green mane tickled her no longer bleeding nose.
They flew into the city.
"HA HA HA! I Knew it look, up there a DRAGON!" Hans Rotwood pointed to the sky. He spotted a red snake like being soaring through the heavens with its impressive wingspan.
A few individuals looked up and around but saw nothing at all. Every one thought the sad little man was insane. He was shopping for groceries at the local out door farmers market. "But it was a Dragon I swear!"
"Mommy there was a dragon I saw it." Raved a four-year-old boy.
"Don't make up stories like that man sweetie, He just crazy."
"Shut up you loser!" A larger man in a leather jacket screamed in Rotwood's ear shoving him as he walked pass.
Jake had flown lower to the ground, weaving trough a few trashcans. He landed behind a crate returning to his human body.
"You must like being on my back don't cha!" Trixie was still latched like she wanted a piggyback ride. It was becoming a habit for her not to let go after a flight.
"Maybe." She kissed his ear lobe.
He carried her past the vending tables. "Hey Rotwood!" Jake greeted his weird looking teacher. Trixie waved.
"Don't hey me, and it Professor Rotwood as I've told you many times before! And don't think I didn't see you flying up there one day I will have the proof I need to expose you dragons!" Rotwood thought Jake, Trixie, and Spud were all dragons he felt Jake was the alpha male of the pack actually the description beta seemed to fit him better.
"Yeahhh. Good luck with that." Rotwood was always good for a laugh, he was extreme and odd.
"Humf! I hope that you two have been working on your assignments, and not kanoodling around. Don't think I haven't caught on to your adolescent hormones. It's dragon-mating season! "
"WOW!" Trixie laughed, her eyes widened.
"What happens between me and my baby stays between me and my baby, right Trix."
"Yea' Boo." Rotwood rolled his eyes at the teenaged fluff.
"Welp see ya later!" Jake whiffed away like a ninja. Rotwood squinted his eyes upset that he had missed out on yet another chance of revealing dragons to the world of science.
CHIME, the doorbell swung back and forth as Jake and Trixie entered the electronics shop.
"Hello welcome to the Canal Street Electronics shop, how may I…. oh it's just you." Lao Shi began.
"Well hello to you too Gramps. What's new?"
"Quite a few things I would like to discuss with you. I was just about to call you here."
"Well well well, look who's here."
"Hey Fu!"
"I was beginning to think you were AWOL."
"Naw, it's just been a lot going on lately."
"Speaking of which are you alright Trixie, Susan told me the terrible news." Lao Shi slapped the back of Jake's head. "My grandson never mentioned it."
"Oww. Dang what is it slap Jake around day?" Jake complained.
"A goo goo goo goo." Fu dog laughed.
"I'm fine, just taking things day by day."
"Well you know you are like family to us, if you need anything."
"Thanks Gramps." She smiled in appreciation.
"So any thing on the shrine we found?" Jake wondered.
"Yes actually. The amulet Trixie found is called the arpanile it was used in ancient West African tribes to resurrect the dead and allow spirits and demons to possess the body." He opened a magic encyclopedia; the illustrations popped right off the pages animated into life. It was like a window through the past watching warriors chant until their deceased host was reborn gasping for air and in shock from being pulled from the heavens.
"SOOO if somebody wants to raise the dead then why'd they kill all those magical animals?"
"Legend states the amulet only works from sacrificing the hearts of the most pure."
"I get the unicorns, but the Cerberus pups?"
"That I am still unsure of young one."
Lao Shi held the gold necklace in the sunlight.
"Let's just make sure no one gets a hold of it to find out. " Fu dog exclaimed.
Trixie starred at the onyx colored gem in the center of the pendant. She felt her body being drained of energy, her eyes felt heavy and her head felt like it weighed a ton.
"Babe, you alright?" Jake caught the nearly fainting girl. He rubbed her back.
"I'm ok."
"Babe?" Fu raised his wrinkled brow.
Lao Shi placed the amulet into his pocket to examine the girls' symptoms. Jake helped her to the couch in the library.
Trixie felt something race up her spine her eyes became dilated for a moment then return to their normal size she shook her head.
"Just a sharp pain maybe a head ache."
Lao Shi entered the room with a cup of tea. "Here drink this." He instructed.
Trixie did as she was told, it did help relieve the pain.
"BABE?" Fu ask again.
"What?" Jake blushed. Trixie smiled softly. Fu stared waiting for an explanation.
"Rose and me broke up. I'm with Trixie now."
"I knew it! You owe me seven hundred dollars." Lao Shi cheered.
"Dang Gramps, you made a bet on us?"
"If that's what you want to call it Jake. Fu dog insisted you both were just friends, but I could sense a young romance blooming between you two for months now. I was only waiting for Jake to make a move."
"Was it that obvious?" Trixie looked up.
"To every one but my dog and my grandson."
Trixie blushed.
"Well I get first dibs on the news. Magic People Magazine will pay out of the ass for a story like this. I can see it now 'Heart throb American Dragon Jake Long falls for beautiful sidekick." Fu dog declared.
"Sidekick?" Trixie rolled her eyes.
"Hey, we can work with the title."
"Wait people actually get paid to make all those rumors up about me?" Jake looked dumbfounded.
"Of course you can't get an unnamed source out of thin air."
"It was you who leaked that picture where it look like I peed my pants after being tied up by the trolls!" Jake gasped.
"Uh don't know what you talking about." Fu lied in his thick New Yorker accent.
"Well if your gonna do that I might as well get first dibs on all the money" Jake grabbed Trixie's hand. "Come on baby let go take some racey photos to leak for the highest bidder!" Jake partially joked.
"Boy please, I ain't bout to be the Kim KARDASHIAN of the magical world! Women get ridiculed for stuff like that."
"BUT….BUT. The MONEYYYY." Jake whined.
"Boy come on!" She grabbed him by the ear. "And don't be givin' him no more crazy ideas Fu!" She screamed at the greedy dog.
"Yes mam, heh heh heh heh." Fu took advantage of this moment to take a few snap shots of Trixie dragging Jake through the door.
"Oww oww oww, so abusive babe."
Stepping out side a large rumble was felt under their feet. "What the hell?" Jake's eye's narrowed mentally preparing himself for a battle.
Crowds of people were heard screaming in the distance, birds were ascending from every direction trying to escape what ever was beyond those buildings.
Car horns blasted and clashed with the sound of police cars and fire truck sirens.
The boy and girl ran toward the scene of commotion colliding into a few individuals running in the opposite direction. "Take my hand!" Jake propelled Trixie on to his back running through the mad crowd. They were like wild deer escaping from a vicious predator.
"MOVE LADY!" A guy in a blue beanie pushed a petite red head to the ground.
Just before the crowd could trample her, "Wings of the dragon!", Jakes body sprouted wings allowing him to yank the woman to safety placing her on her feet before she knew what hit her.
"Hang on Trixie." Warned the girl as he leaped into the sky flapping the wings attached to his human body. He soared near the roof of an apartment building.
"Stay here, am gonna see what's up with every body." He commanded.
"You can't just leave me up here! I'm coming too!"
"NO!" He pecked her lips with his own just before diving head first off of the building.
"JACOB! Oooo I'ma kill dat boy." She snarled.
Jake expanded his wings gilding high into the atmosphere taking on his full dragon form.
"WHAT… THE… FUCK… IS… THAT?" He asked himself.
A deformed looking creature thrashed through the city causing a ruckus.
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHAH! The monster growled. Jake flew in closer to get a better look. The brute beast was the size of a school bus walking around on all fours. Its tail was as long as a fire hose, the skin was rock like and jagged which made the thing look disgusting.
"Aye, you know that car would taste a lot better if you added some salt to it."
GRAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHAAAAA!
"Dang bra! Didn't yo' mama ever tell you to brush yo' teeth, cuz ya' breath is straight kickin'?"
The grotesque fiend stuck Jake with its sledgehammer like tail ramming him onto a flower cart.
"Oh.. You wanna play dirty huh, bring it on!" Jake pounced on the oversized vermin.
Trixie paced back and forth looking out into the city. "How the hell do I get off this roof?" She tugged on her deva cut curls. The door to the stair case was locked from the inside leaving her trapped. She was going give Jake a piece of her mind when he got back.
"SPUD!" She expressed overjoyed, remember her long time buddy was back at home.
She scrolled through the contacts of her cell phone. RINNNGGGG RINNNGGGGGG she heard through the phone. "Please please please pick up Spud."
"Hello?"
"Oh thank God! Spud I need your help!"
