The Fairy & The Raven
A/N: Wassup fam. Me again with another chapter! It's been awhile and I know my update schedule is horrendous but I can't help it. I'm always looking to improve my writing and I never relaease anything unless I 100% think it's good, my beta helps tremendously :). If we wouldn't read it then you sure as hell wouldn't. On a more positive note, An AU story I've been working on will be replacing this story when I finish it next chapter(?) . Want to hear my AU idea? Send me a PM and I'll share! I'm sad to see this story near it's end but hey, that's just how it goes. This is honestly one of my best pieces of work and I'll always love it, and maybe I'll make some spin off stories off of this one. A new family for the lovely couple? Chapter 5: Rage
""The next fight will be Flare Corona vs. Lucy Heartfillia!"
Lucy's and Natsu's eyes widen in shock.
"What?" Natsu says quielty.
He looks over at Flare and see's her trembling. She looked scared and confused, not knowing what to do. He then looks at Lucy and see's the exact same thing in her eyes.
Fear...
Fear is what crept into Natsu heart as he stared at the two women. They where friends. How would they be able to fight one another with their new found friendship in place? They where trapped.
"Natsu... Wh-What do I do?" Lucy ask queitly, her eyes pleading for an answer.. but Natsu hadn't the faintest idea. He felt stuck, the love of his life had to fight his best friend and their was no way around it. If Flare gave the match Ivan would punish her, and if Lucy gave the match Fairy Tail could kiss the idea of being the #1 guild goodbye. Life was never fair.
Taking a deep breath, Natsu looks towards Lucy. "Luce... Do you're best... I support whatever you do.." Lucy could hear the helplessness in his voice and could see the pain in his eyes but he was putting his trust and faith into her. She wouldn't let him down. She wouldn't let the guild down. Flare may be her friend but she needed this for the guild. For Fairy Tail.
"Hai!" Lucy says with a fierce look in her eyes, her confidence returning.
Natsu gives Lucy a small smile and looks towards Flare and feels his heart break. She looked so scared. So helpless and confused. Ivan stood over her and had a dangerous look in his eyes. He looked angry at Flare and she was looking towards the ground. Anger began to take the dragon slayer.
"Flare..." Natsu mutters dangerously.
"Fighters! To the arena!" Chapati yells, causing an uproar of cheers from the crowd.
With Flare:
Flare was scared. She didn't know what to do. She didn't want to harm her friend, but there was another thing that was taking her mind.
Ivan was behind right behind her and she could feel his anger roll off his form. He was staring at Natsu. He seemed to be more pissed than usual and it scared her.
"Follow me..." He says darkly.
Flare whimpers as Ivan walks away. She felt a sudden pang of guilt and regret hit her, a foreshadow of what was to come. Casting one last glance at Natsu she swollows thickly and goes out to the hallway Ivan left through.
"Cherry-kun." She thinks helplessly.
"Arena Hallway:
"Y-You wanted to s-see me M-Master" Flare stammers out, fear rolling off her in waves.
Ivan says nothing and continues to stare off into the distance. He didn't move, blink, or speak. He just stood there.
"M-Mas-GAH!" Flare didn't get to finish her sentence as Ivan had turned around swiftly and picked her up by her throat, pinning her to the wall.
"What is going on between you and that pink haired man!" Ivan demands. His eyes held nothing but anger, hatred, and a promise of pain.
Flare began to cry as well as shake. This only made Ivan angrier and he tightened his grip on her throat, making speech imposible.
"ANSWER ME YOU WHORE!" Ivan bellows, slamming Flare's back into the wall.
She screams in pain and fully let her tears fall. Was this it? Was she going to die here? She continues to be choked by Ivan and could only pray that Natsu would somehow come and find her.
"Hmm. You don't have and answer do you." Ivan says lowly. He tightens his hold on her throat yet again and takes pleasure in her pain. "I'm going to say this once." Ivan begins. "You are going to get in there and win. You will beat that blonde bitch to a pulp and make SURE to use that little mistake to you're advantage. Destroy her or It'll be you." Ivan finishes.
Flare nods weakly but was planning on running away as soon as he let her go. Ivan seemed to see this and smirks. "One more thing." A paper doll then forms behind Ivan and makes its way to Flare's thigh, crawling up her dress. She begins to squirm as she feels it settle on the inside of her thigh, hidden. She then begins to scream as it burns itself onto her thigh. It was painful, it felt as if the burn traveled up her body and settled in her brain, Ivan took pleasure in her pained expression.
"That doll will make sure you do you're job. I will be controlling you. One mistake and you're little boyfriend is dead." Ivan says lowly, tossing Flare to the ground.
"GET OUT THERE AND WIN YOU BITCH! GO OR I'LL KILL YOU!" Ivan shouts, leaving the hallway and going back to his spot.
Flare wanted to cry, she wanted to curl into a ball and just cry but she had to get out there and win. She didn't want to hurt Lucy or anyone for that matter but the doll somehow compelled her to go out there. She hoped will all of her heart that Ivan was lieing. She rises and heads to the arena, rubbing the tears from her eyes and trying to fix her nerves. This was going to be a long day.
The Arena:
"H-Hi Blonde." Flare hesitently.
Lucy felt her confidence faulter at the sound of Flare's voice but ignores it and puts on a brave face. "Hi Flare, sorry we have to fight, but I won't let my guild down. We may be friends but for today, right now we are opponents." Lucy gets into a fighting stance and places a hand on her keys. "Lets do this!" She shouts.
Flare frowns and shifts uncomfortably. She again feels tears in her eyes. She didn't want to hurt Lucy, she was her friend and Natsu's best friend at that. Ivan already gave her a plan that she had to follow but it was evil and not fair. What was she going to do. Throw the match or humiliate Lucy infront of thousands of people? Her decision would change the fate of her life forever.
"Kill her..." Ivan's voice had came into her mind and felt her eyes widen in shock. She felt numb and then she felt her body begin to be consumed in heat. "Kill her. Kill her. Kill her." Was being said over and over in her mind and she felt herself leave her body. She lost control.
Flare looks over and Ivan and see's him smirking and see's another paper doll floating at his side. This was it, he was in control.
"I'm so sorry...Lucy..." Flare thinks as she fully submits to Ivan's control.
She closes her eyes and takes in a deep breath, her body trembling. When she re-opens them, her red eyes are completly devoid of feeling and a manical grin creeps its way onto her face. She begins to bend and swoon her body crazily and a killer intent was beginning to flow from the woman.
"Good luck Blondie~" Flare says mockingly.
Lucy as well as Natsu are throw off by Flare's new persona and Lucy couldn't shake the feeling dread filling her stomach.
Natsu for his part was shocked. He hadn't seen this side of Flare before and it scared him. She was exactly what Ivan wanted her to be, a killer. Gripping the railing of the arena he growls. "Ivan..." His rage was filling fast and his fear was also growing.
"COMBATANTS FIGHT!" Chapati yells.
"Right!" Lucy yells. "Gate of the Golden Bull, I open thee! Taurus!"Lucy says and in a flash of light, Taurus was besides his master.
"MOOOO!" Taurus yells as he immediately takes a swing at Flare who jumps out of the way.
"OH MY! Celestial Spirit magic! Thats one of the 12 zodiacs! This is going to be good!" Chapati announces.
"One more! Gate of the Scorpion, I open thee! Scorpio!" Lucy yells and in another flash Scorpio appears by his master.
"WILD!" He says with his arms crossed.
"What? Two at the same time? Luce you amaze me." Natsu thinks with a smile.
"Wow! Since when can Lucy do that!?" Makarov yells.
Erza give a proud smile. "She's been training with me. Of course my woman would be strong." Makarov just gapes at Erza.
"Woohoo! 30 million jewel here I come! He shouts happily.
"Sand Buster!" Scorpio yells as a torrent of sand is shot at Flare.
"Hahahaha~" Flare laughs as she jumps out of the way and unravels her hair, igniting it and countering the blast.
Lucy gasps. "Her hairs strong, I need to be carefull." She thinks aloud. "Hey Scoripo! Give Taurus a hand and give him a sand boost!" She orders.
"Thats perfect Miss Lucy!" Taurus compliments.
Scorpios sand soon begins to swirl around Taurus's axe and molds into a unison raid attack.
"ABSORB!" Taurus yells as his axe begins to charge.
Flare gasps and looks at the attack wearily. "Blondies strong." She says.
"Taurus now! Go wild!" Scorpio says.
"Sandstorm Axe!" Taurus then charges Flare and swings his axe at her hitting her directly. "Alderbaran!" He shouts.
"GAHH!" Flare screams as she takes the attack head on, being tossed into the air.
"Wow! This is amazing folks! Not only did Lucy summon two spirits, she also use a combined attack! She is not the same as she was 7 years ago!" Chapati yells.
"Great job you two!" Lucy shouts as she see's Flare fly into the air.
The two spirits soon fade and leave Lucy by herself.
"BLONDIE!" Flare screams as she corrects herself in mid air and counter attacks. "Hair Dog, Wolf Fang!" She counters.
"Wah? So thats her magic. Incredible." Natsu is shocked by what he was seeing. Flare was able to mold her hair into any form and was also able to ignite it. This fight was only beginning.
As the wolf of hair approaches Lucy, she counters with a move of her own. With a smile, "Gate of the Crab, I open thee!"
With a flash of light and seal, Cancer appears from the gate and cuts the hair to bits. "Cancer!" He announces, crouching on the ground.
"Huh? My hair!" Flare shouts, getting angrier by the second.
"Good job Cancer! You saved my behind!" Lucy shouts cheerily.
"Hmph. When it come to hair, I'm the best baby." Cancer says cooly, dissapearing in a flash.
Flare's eyes dialate and her rage consumes her. "YOU!" She screams and attacks Lucy with strike from hair. She sends her hair into the ground and when it emerges it wraps around Lucy's ankle and flails her around the arena.
"Ah!" Lucy yelps in response as the hair begins to swing her around.
Flare begins to slam Lucy on the ground and harshly drag her on the floor, laughing maniacally while doing so. "Blondie~" She says tauntingly.
"Lucy!" The members of Fairy Tail scream.
"Damit, I can't watch this! They can't fight eachother!" Natsu says and was prepairing to stop them but Erza's gauntlet clad hand stops him.
"Leave them, they'll be fine." She says reassuringly, Gajeel behind her had the same thing written on his face.
Natsu gulps and closes his eyes, scoffing. "I hope you're right..." He mutters.
"Take that!" Flare yells as she slams Lucy into the ground. "My pretty hair does what I say Blondie~" She says crazily.
Wincing in pain, Lucy reaches for her whip and speaks. "Ha, I have a trick of my own that can do that. Fleuve d'Etoile..." She says, igniting her other worldly weapon. She sends it out at Flare and it too wraps itself around her ankle.
"Huh! What is this!"
"You're end!"
The two then begin to spin wildly in the air, connected at the ankle to eachother.
"What is this people!? A sky show! The two seem to be engaged in an epic game of chicken!" Chapati announces.
"Yes, it seems niether girl wants to give up, both are putting up a good fight." Yajima says.
"Grrr. Blondie. Lets see how you handle fire!" Flare says loud enough for Lucy to hear.
She then ignites her hair and begins to sear Lucy's ankle with her fire.
"AHH!" Lucy screams out in pain at the burning sensation but was determined to not let go.
"Does it hurt Blondie~ You should let go before you get burned~" Flare says in a sing song like voice.
"GAHH! AHH!" Lucy screams as she's tossed in mid air to the ground.
"This battle has only begun and the two are alreay at eachothers throats! What will happen next!? Niether woman is throwing in the towl!" Chapati yells.
Lucy was crounched down on the floor with her ankle slightly burned but luckily her boot took most of the damage. Lucy had a fierce look in her eyes and wanted revenge for that dirty trick.
Flare was smiling widely at Lucy and took pleasure in the pained expression on her face.
"Lu-Chan, are you okay!?" Levy shouts.
"Come on Lucy, remember you're training! Crush her!" Erza yells.
"Hey thats my girl you're talking about." Natsu says playfully.
Erza smiles. "All's fair in love and war." She says with an edge.
Lucy's leg was burned and was smoking. "Damn that burns." she says through grit teeth.
"Hurts doesen't it? Hard to stand eh Blondie~" Flare taunts.
Lucy scoffs and stands up, tossing her charred boots at Flare. "Hah, that was a little warm but these babies saved the day. I really liked those too, you're gonna have to pay." She says with an edge, much like a certain red head.
Flare gasps. "What!? My red hair only hurt the boots!?" She thinks. Her eyes soon contort into anger and dialate even further. "Blondie!" She shouts her hair becoming active once more. She shoots her hair down into the ground again.
"Watch out Lucy! Without you're boots you'll get burned!" Gray shouts.
"Be careful Lucy!" Happy shouts.
"Flare... Please don't hurt her.." Natsu thinks.
Lucy watches Flare and tries to sense where her hair was going to attack from. "Huh? That's strange, I can't sense anything." Lucy thinks. She had to concentrate hard on where Flare's hair was going to be, without her boots she'd get burned so had to be ready.
"What? What's she doing?" Nastu says out loud.
"Hmm. Thats strange Lucy stopped attacking." Erza says.
"HEY! Come on Lucy, show that Raven Tail girl how Fairy Tail does it!" Makarov yells.
Lucy looks towards her guild members and see's them cheering and dancing for her.
"Lucy! Lucy! Lucy! Lucy!" They chanted.
Lucy smiles and goes back to watching Flare. "What's wrong Flare? Change of heart?" She taunts.
Flare smiles and arches to the left with a wicked look on her face. "Patience Blondie..." She mutters, looking off to the side.
Ivan was staring at Flare and when the two meet eyes he nods and Flare smiles wickedly again.
"Blondie~" Flare sings.
Lucy gets into a stance and readies herself.
"LUCY!" She hears being shouted by Erza. She looks her way and see's her making a heart with her hands, mouthing "I love you". Lucy blushes and nods but something catches her eyes. Behind her cheering friends was a strand of red hair. Flare's hair! Behind Asuka!
"Asuka-chan watch o-Gah!" Lucy wasn't able to finish as Flare's hairs wraps itself around Lucy's mouth and suspends her into the air.
"Nah ah ah Blondie~" Flare says. "We're going to have fun~"
Lucy was struggling in her binds and tried to free hersef but she was bounded tight. She looks towards Asuka again and see's the hair all around her.
"NATSU! ERZA! TURN AROUND!" She yells but it all came out as a muffled cry.
"OH! This is a turn of events! Lucy is at Flare's mercy! What will happen next!" Chapati yells out.
Flare was swooning from side to side crazily and her maniacal smile never leaving her face. "We're going to play Blondie~ You're going to do anything I say and If you don't the baby will go bye bye!" She says happily.
Lucy gasps and begins to struggle more but is silenced when Flare slams her into the ground.
"Lucy!" Fairy Tail screams.
"Blondie~ Blondie~ Blondie~" Flare sings as she repeatedly slams Lucy into the ground, each and everytime she let loose a grunt of pain. Bruises where beginning to cover her form as well as scrapes and cuts. Tears where starting to fall off her face, feeling like a failiure. She was letting Fairy Tail down.
"I'm sorry...everyone..." Lucy thinks sadly.
"Is this it folks!? Is Flare going to best Lucy! This has turned into a one sided fight!" Chapati announce.
"Why isn't Lucy fighting back!?" Makarov says shocked.
"I don't know, Lu-chan looks scared." Levy says worriedly.
"Come on Lucy! You're better than this!" Gray says.
"Show her Lucy! Show her you're stronger that her!" Happy shouts.
"Natsu? What's wrong with Flare? She's like a completly different person." Erza says.
"Salamader. What did Ivan do to her." Gajeel demands.
Natsu began to shake and anger began to roll of his form.
"Ivan..."
"GAHH!" Lucy yells as she hits the ground again, gasping for breath.
"Is that all Blondie? Come on, the fun has only just begun." Flare says as she lifts Lucy off the ground with her hand and feet binded together by her hair.
"I want to here you scream Blondie~" She says crazily, her red eyes full of malice.
Lucy was gazing into her red eyes and could see fear and regret behind them. She felt her heart drop at the sight. She looked so scared and sorry, she wasn't herself and Lucy saw that. She needed to help her and she'd make sure she did. For Natsu, for Fairy Tail, for Flare.
"Flare.." Lucy say quietly. "Please.. This isn't you... You're better than this... Don't let Ivan control you.. Fight it." She pleas, tears falling from her face.
Flare faulters and slightly drops Lucy. "Wh-What?" She says.
Lucy coughs. "This isn't you Flare... Natsu didn't fall in love with this... He fell in love with the real you... Show him the real you Flare..." She says with tears in her eyes.
Flare's own eyes began to water and her bottom lip began to quiver. "C-Cherry-kun?" She asks.
"Yes... Thats him... You said you loved Natsu and that you'd always love him... Then don't do this... Don't listen to Ivan... Show Natsu that you love him and listen to yourself.." Lucy says with a teary smile.
"H-H-He loves me?" Flare asks, her red eyes where beginning to turn to normal and her overall composure was returning. Natsu's love and Lucy's friendship where overpowering Ivan's control.
"Yes Flare... Natsu loves you more than anything... Show him the girl he love... Show him what his mate really looks like..." This was Lucy's final hope. She couldn't fight any longer, but this wasn't about the fight anymore. No. It was about Flare. She needed to be freeded from Ivan's contol and shown again that she was loved by Natsu, by herself and Erza. She needed freedom once more.
"Cherry-kun..." Flare says silently. The memories of all the time she's spent with Natsu invading her mind, causing her to drop Lucy. She falls to her knees and clutches at her head, screaming with tears falling from her eyes.
"NATSU-KUN!" She screams at the top of her lungs, shocking the crowd as well as Natsu who was about to bolt over the railing but Gajeel and Erza where restraining him.
"LET ME GO! SHE NEEDS ME!" Natsu yells but Gajeel and Erza wouldn't let him free.
"Natsu If you go down there we're disqualified!" Erza reasons.
Natsu stops all struggles and falls limply to the ground. She was right... "She needs me.." He says almost silently.
Flare was still clutching at her head, all the love Natsu had for her was filling her senses, the love they shared, the safe invicible feeling she felt when she was with him and the promise of forever. She was slipping into a void and was losing her grip on reality. Soon darkness takes her but a familiar voice guides her away. The voice she grew to love more than life itself.
~~~"Flare... After the games... I have an important question I want you to answer. I won't tell you what it is but I want you to know I will never force you to do anything nor do I want you to feel obligated to do so. Okay?"~~~
Flare's Void:
Natsu's calm soothing voice came through to her. It shocked her and she looked up and could see him standing infront of her. He was dressed in the white suit he wore today but he looked older and felt stronger. She was shocked at what she saw, but was shocked even further when she say a baby wrapped in a white blanket in his arms.
"Hi my love." Natsu says lowly. His voice was deeper and he sounded much older.
"N-N-Natsu-kun?" She says with a quivering voice.
Natsu smiles. "Yes, It's me Flare." His voice was as she remembered. Calm and loving. She finally remembered who she really was. She was not a monster like Ivan wanted her to be, but rather a shy caring young woman who was hoplessly in love with Natsu Dragneel. Relief as well as salvation washes over her and tears begin to flow from her eyes.
"W-W-Where are we?" She questions still crying.
Looking around she was still in the arena but eveything was frozen. She saw herself and all the people around her frozen, but what stuck out most was Natsu. He too was frozen but had a look of fear in his onyx eyes. That alone caused Flare pain.
Natsu chuckles. "We're currently in you're mind. I'm only here because I need to help you overcome this." He says.
"You were luckily saved by Lucy but you're still at a cross road. I'm her to help you along. Whatever you choose with drastically alter the future but you're free to do as you wish." Natsu says seriously.
"You've come to a point in you're life where you're decision will change the fate of you're life as well as the world. You can choose to listen to Lucy and forfit the match, or fully beat Lucy and win. I can't tell you what will happen if you choose but know that it is all you're choice." He says.
Flare sits and listens to Natsu and could only be confused by what he's said. What was she to choose? What was the right choice? What would happen if she choose the fist option, what of the second? She was afraid.
"I-I-I don't know what to do..." She says sadly, looking at the ground.
Natsu smiles and kneels before the woman. "Here, she should help." He says handing the baby to Flare.
Flare is shocked and was about to refuse but when she saw the babies red hair she couldn't. She looks at Natsu shocked and slowly picks up the baby. She could fully make out the babies features now. Pale skin, long red hair, and red eyes...
She was an exact replica of Flare. Flare begins to tear up and looks at Natsu who is smiling.
"Cherry-kun... Is she..." She couldn't finish her sentence as the baby grabbed her thumb and held it while saying something she never saw coming.
"Mama.."
Flare gasps and fully begins to cry. This was her baby. Her's and Natsu's baby girl. This is what her future had in store for her but which one?
Natsu smiles again and takes the baby from a crying Flare. "This is what our love created. You should now know what to choose. I believe in you love. You're happiness awaits you, now go! Go and show my younger self that you're in control of the future! GO!" He says with his famous grin on his face.
Flare smiles and wipes the tears from her eyes. "Hai!" She say with new determination. "I won't let you down Natsu-kun! We'll be together forever! Keep our daughter safe!" She shouts as she fades from her mind scape.
"That's my girl.." Natsu muses, looking at his child.
The Arena:
Flare gasps heavily as her eyes widen, feeling herself return to normal.
"Flare... Please..." Lucy says tiredly.
Flare gasps and goes to help Lucy up.
"I'm so sorry Lucy-san... Please forgive me... I'm going to make things right... Forgive me." She says as she hugs Lucy tight and replaces her hair behind her in a braid. She helps Lucy sit up and gives her a soft smile which Lucy found in herself to return.
She rises and puts on a brave facade but in reality was scared to death. This would not turn out well but for the sake of her future she had to take a chance. For her love and her child this needed to be done.
"I-I forfit the match..." Flare says quietly.
*GASPS*
"W-What? Do my ears decieve me!? Flare Corona forfits the match!" Chapati yells.
"This was definetly not seen. What are the reasons behind it?" Yajima says.
"Are you sure-kabo?" The pumpkin man asks in shock. (A/N: Don't know his name lol.)
Flare gulps and nods silently, the feeling of her masters angry eyes on her back. She begins to shake and tears brimmed her red eyes.
"It is finalized! Lucy Heartfilia win!" Chapati announces.
*CHEERS*
"Lucy!" Erza yells as she goes to the arena along with Natsu to get Lucy.
With Fairy Tail:
"Why did Flare yell for Natsu Makarov?" Mavis says interested.
Makarov strokes his chin and eyes Natsu and Flare wearily. "I have no idea First. Do any of you know what's going on?" He asks.
Gajeel steps foward with a downward gaze. "I'll talk master. Natsu needs help." He says seriously.
The Arena:
"Lucy honey are you okay?" Erza asks worriedly, looking over Lucy's form with a watchfull eye.
Lucy chuckles "I'm fine Erza. Just abit banged up I'll be okay." She then casts a glance at Flare who was being comforted by Natsu. "I'm glad I got through to her." She says quietly, her eyes closing. Drifting off into slumber.
Erza smiles. "Sleep well my love."
"C-C-Cherry-kun... I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry.." Flare cries, weeping into Natsu's chest.
Natsu rubs her back soothingly and held her tight. "It's okay Flare... It wasn't you're fault... That bastard Ivan is the one to blame... Not you.." He felt so helpless and afraid. Flare looked so scared and broken and it hurt him. Flare continues to cry, her breath hitching every so often. Without warning he lifts Flare's crying face to meet his and places a soft kiss on her lips, calming her instantly.
The crowd all gasp and eye the odd pair.
"Thats Natsu's girlfriend?"
"Oh no! Natsu-sama is taken!"
"Haha! Great job Natsu-san!"
"Wow! You two are so cute!"
The crowd was frenzying just at the sight of the pair, but as all good things go, they come to an end.
Pulling away, Flare see's Ivan standing behind Natus with a furious expression on his face. The sweet taste of Natsu's lips helped comfort her but it'll only last so long.
"Right now..." He says lowly, but dangerous.
Flare whimpers and pulls away, walking towards her master. Natsu was about to protest but a hand on his shoulder stops him. It was Erza. She had a concerened look in her eyes but she had reason.
"You can't attack him Natsu, you'll get us disqualified. We have to trust her." She says calmly but still scared.
Natsu furrows his brow but nods casting one last glance at Flare and almost see's an apologetic look in them, fear returning to his heart.
With Fairy Tail:
"And thats what's happened master." Gajeel has just told the story of Natsu and Flare and the guild all felt the same as him, Erza, Lucy, Natsu and happy.
"Why is she still with them?" Gray asks.
"Yeah, She should come here. We'd keep her safe." Levy adds.
"Yes. My son is worse than I thought. Hurting such an innocent girl. She needs help and we'll help her." Makarov adds, an angry look in his eye. "How dare he hurt a child like that! He will pay!" Makorov adds in his head. Laxus who was off to the side was also as angry as his grandfather. "Damn bastard. Hurting someone just for you're own sick gain. When I see you again old man, you're done." He rages, leaving the arena to cool off.
The Arena:
"Well that is all folks! Come back tomorrow for the final day of the game's and we'll crown a winner!" Chapati says.
"Come Natsu, lets go. We'll wait for her at the hotel. She'll come. I know she will." Erza say, taking Natsu's hand with Lucy on her back.
Natsu nods follows Erza, looking at the spot Flare just was at and silently praying she'd be alright. "Stay safe Flare..." He thinks.
Fairy Hotel:
"Natsu my child... I'm sorry I made you feel the way you did. You thought you couldn't trust me and I am truely sorry. I hope you can forgive me." Makarov says quietly, sitting on the bar of the hotel.
Natsu smiles. "It's okay gramps. I never thought that, I knew you'd welcome her with open arms. I was just scared. She was part of Raven Tail so I just was scared. I'm sorry master." He finishes bowing his head.
Makarov chuckles. "Raise you're head child there's no need for it. Rest assure she has a spot in the guild. My son will not harm her any longer and I apolosise for his actions." Laxus steps foward and too looks sorry. "I'm sorry too Natsu. It's my old man who's been abusing you're girlfriend. I should have seen something when I met with him. I'm sorry." Natsu smiles and waves a hand their way. "No need for that guys, really. You couldn't have ever predicted this. She's strong and I know she'll be okay. She's not the girl we saw in the arena today. Thats what Ivan wants her to be, not what she wants to be." Natsu finishes.
The guild all smile at Natsu and await Flare, ready to welcome her into their family, ready to protect her from Ivan.
"Haha. That was a really good fight, Flare really knows how to fight." Lucy chuckles who was covered in bandages.
Erza too chuckles and wraps and arms around Lucy. "That it was. You did great my love." She says sharing a kiss with her blonde lover.
The guild smiles, happy for the couple. Now another couple would join the guild, they really where growing up.
*SLAM*
Suddenly the guild doors where slammed open and all the guild turn towards the noise. All are shocked at what they see.
It was Flare.
She was bloody, broken and beaten.
Her dress was tattered and she held onto her right arm which was visibly broken. She had cuts, scrapes and bruises all over her body and her hair was a mess. She was panting and crying heavily, looking to be on the brink of death.
"Cherry-kun..." She whipsers as she falls fowards and comes into contact with the wooden floor.
"FLARE!" Natsu yells as he bolts foward and takes the girl into his arms, crying at the sight of his love.
Erza, Gajeel, Wendy, Lucy and Makarov all rush foward with Natsu and crowd around the woman.
"W-W-Wendy. Help her... Please.." Natsu begs.
"H-H-Hai." Wendy says as she takes Flare from Natsu and sets her on the floor, beginning to heal her.
Natsu fully began to cry and Lucy was the shoulder he used. "I-I-I don't want her to d-d-die." He cries.
Lucy just shushes him and rubs his back and hair. "She'll be okay Natsu. I promise." She cooes.
Erza, Gajeel and Makarov both looked enraged. Makarov more so than the others. His own son did this and he'd pay dearly for his crimes.
"IVAN!" Makarov bellows, his magic flaring greatly.
Erza and Gajeel both back away from the enraged man, both looked on with fear at the man. His power was deafening and the rage in his voice was enough to make the devil himself shit his pants.
"Gramps, you need to calm down." Laxus says, placing a hand on his grandfathers shoulder. His own rage present on his face.
Taking in deep breaths, Makarov calms slighlty and looks to his grandson. "Thank you." Laxus smirks. "Anytime."
Coughing is soon heard coming from Flare and the two look at her and see her quivering.
"C-C-Cherry-kun.." She whimpers.
Natsu rushes to her side and begins stroking her hair. "It's me Flare. I'm here my love." He says hoarsly.
Flare begins crying and hooks her good arm around his neck and begins sobbing loudly, clinging to him in fear.
Natsu allows her comfort and holds her tight, promising him as well as her to never let go.
Wendy still heals Flare but does her back. She lifts the tattered dress slighty and gasps and what she saw. "F-Flare-san what happened?" She questions.
Flare knew what she saw and held onto Natsu tighter, crying even harder. Natsu who was confused looks towards Wendy's stare.
Bruises where on her thighs...
Bruises in the shapes of fingers..
...Ivan's fingers..
Rage...
... White hot rage fills Natsu's entire being. A man dared touch what belonged to him, and that man was Ivan.. The man thats caused his mate so much pain and suffering dared touch his woman...
There's a saying. "Never touch what belongs to a dragon." Ivan's just sealed his fate.
Natsu's eyes turn pitch black save for red slits. Black marking begin to take his arms and cover the sides of his face. His magical aura inflating greatly scaring his guild.
"N-N-Natsu?" Lucy says.
Natsu doesen't reply just continues to stare at Flare's legs.
"Wendy..." He says in a sinister doubled voice causing said girl to jump in fear. "Did he..." He questions.
Wendy was paralized in fear but answers Natsu. "N-N-No. Their just bruises N-N-Natsu-san." She says fearfully.
Flare whimpers. "He tried to touch me but I fought. My body is for Cherry-kun only so he beat me. He almost killed me but I got away. Please don't make me go back." She sobbs.
Natsu continues to hold her "I'm not letting you leave me now, remember our promise?" He asks. Flare nods and continues to be held by him until she suddenly falls asleep in his arms. Exhausten obviously taking the woman. He looks at Wendy and speaks.
"Can you save her?" He asks.
Wendy was thrown off by the question but answers anyway. "H-H-Hai."
With a shallow nod he gives Flare to Lucy and heads to the doors.
"Natsu wait! Where are you going!" Erza yells, running after Natsu.
She however jumps in fear when Natsu looks at her. He looked so angry and she could feel the killer intent raidiate off of him. His eyes looked diabolical and she could almost see happiness in his eyes. "N-N-Natsu?" She questions.
"Can I trust you.." He says.
"W-What?" She mumbles.
"Can. I. Trust you?" He repeats.
Erza is taken aback at the question. "Of course you can Natsu. What are you planning?" She says worriedly.
Natsu doesn't answer back, instead he looks at Gajeel. "Protect her..." He says in a monotone voice.
Gajeel gulps but nods. He knew what Natsu was going to do and he knew what's happen to him. This was one of the few times he's experienced fear.
Makarov steps foward. "Natsu... Child what happened to you." He questions worriedly.
Natsu doesen't relpy. He just continues to stare at Flare.
"Natsu please... Tell us what you're planning.. Were all scared Natsu.." Erza pleas on the brink of tears.
Howerver, what happens next caused Erza's as well as the entire guilds blood to run cold. With a sinister smile he answers. "I'm going to kill him..." A happiness dancing in his eyes.
*BOOM*
Raven Tail Guild Hall:
Ivan is currently in his bedroom looking at himself in the mirror. He had scratches all over his face and a black eye.
"Stupid bitch, should have just taken it like the dog she is." He then begins to chuckle. "She'll be dead anyway. I showed that whore what happens when you think you can fall in love and disobey me. Salamander will be next on my list." He says darkly.
*BOOM*
"WHAT THE HELL!" Ivan shouts as he's blined by dust, coughing heavily. "Who's there!" He demands. The eastern wall to his chambers has just been breached and a sudden heat rolls through his room.
He shivers when he hears a dark chuckle emmit from the room. He looks around and see's piercing red slits eye him from across his room.
"You..." The figure says darkly.
"W-W-Who are you!" Ivan yells in fear, backing himself into a wall. The person was strong. Stronger than anyone he's ever faced, stronger than his son and father. He saw his death written in the figures dark eyes and knew his end was near. Flare instantly coming to mind.
"I'm the one who's going to send you to hell." Natsu says with a doubled voice, his black eyes deepening.
"And she'll always get the best of me, The worst is yet to come"
