Chapter 3:

A torrent of water streamed from the ombre-haired dragon slayer's mouth towards Juvia Vastia. Before it could make contact, a shield of ice was formed in front of the rain woman. Both Gray and Lyon had formed it. As the shattered pieces of ice fell to the ground, Tempest began to laugh.

"How?" Gray asked her Juvia's sister.

"I'm second generation of course. About a year before Juvia left, I lost all my magic. There was an attack on our house. It was a dark guild. I wasn't strong enough to fight back. The loss devastated me. So dad came up with a way for me to get magic back." Tempest held her hands out straight from her shoulders, and water from the pool began to swirl around her.

"It's not the same, of course. She isn't made of water like Juvia is. But the magic is more powerful. Juvia helped her learn to control it some before she joined Phantom Lord." Juvia smiled at her sister. "Juvia's sister has gotten a lot stronger!"

Tempest released her magic and the water went back into the pool. Gray was shocked. He had expected a much larger fight. Maybe this girl wasn't as bad as he was thinking. She must just leave terrible first impressions. That was when gray noticed what was resting on the right side of her lower waist, partially covered by her bikini bottom.

A navy blue Fairy Tail guild mark. Though the bottom inch was covered, there was no mistaking it. She had already joined the guild? Seriously, what was Makarov thinking? Gray clenched his jaw. With the excitement over, everyone began to head inside. Tempest sidled over to Gray. She clasped her hands behind her back, leaned toward him and smiled.

"You know, I should probably pay for that broken window. Want to take a job with me?" Tempest asked hopefully. Gray was the only guild member she had really talked to, so she was hoping to be friends.

"Sorry, I already have a team. Ask someone else." Gray left her behind as he went to finish his now cold coffee and nurse his hangover. Tempest gritted her teeth and clenched her fists. Taking a deep breath she marched inside and to the request board. With her hands clasped behind her back, she read the papers posted. She could feel people watching her, but whenever she looked, everyone had their heads turned. She could feel tears in her eyes. Wasn't Fairy Tail supposed to be full of friendly people? She must have made everyone really hate her yesterday. The guild hall's doors opened, and Laxus and the Thunder Legion walked in. Freid and Bixlow made their way to the bar, and Evergreen went to sit with Elfman. Laxus however walked straight up to the request board. Laxus grabbed a paper, without looking. His eyes were on Tempest the whole time.

"Get dressed. You have 20 minutes." Laxus stated, before walking to Mira to handle the paperwork.
