Chapter 4
(This chapter is a little OOC, but I wanted to show you all a bit of the way she could work with the others, to solidify her place you know?)
Tempest trudged along behind Laxus. They had taken a magic mobile to a small village, met with the client, and were now walking through a decaying forest to some abandoned shrine. They came up to the river mentioned in the directions, and Laxus looked back at Tempest.
"Do you need to stop and eat lunch?" Laxus asked. He clearly did not want to be on this mission. Tempest figured it was probably a test of some sort, but she was grateful for the company all the same. She motioned to the river, and walked to the edge. She leaned down, and when her lips touched the water, she began to consume it. When she had her belly full, she could feel her power surge.
"I'm ready when you are." Tempest smiled, and the continued on to the shrine.
The shrine was inside a little temple. All the walls were crumbling, and half of the roof had collapsed. They walked up to the entrance, and saw footprints in the dust. They must have been from the missing villager they were looking for. When Tempest went to step inside the building, Laxus threw an arm out to stop her.
"It's a trap." Laxus warned. And they were suddenly surrounded by a group of men with makeshift weapons.
"Hand over the relic, and nobody gets hurt." the man closest to Tempest called. He must be the leader. The numbers of men quickly multiplied, and Tempest just smirked.
"Hand over the villager, and we won't punish you too badly." Tempest replied, cracking her knuckles. Laxus had a few sparks flickering around him. He knew that any generation of dragon slayer would be able to handle this many bandits. But Gramps made him come; he should at least get to join in on the fun...
"Ha-ha, girl's asking for a whooping! Get her Rocky!" one of the other bandits called.
"Laxus… This is a test right? So I need to prove myself… I should give it a little extra effort?" Tempest turned and looked at the thunder dragon slayer. He had the smallest of grins. "Unison raid?"
"Unison raid." Laxus replied. It suddenly began to rain; huge storm clouds began to form overhead. The sky turned darker, and thunder clapped overhead. Lightning struck Laxus, and he and Tempest both began to consume their respective elements.
"Water Dragon Roar!"
"Thunder Dragon Roar!"
Now it was obviously overkill, even for a large group of bandits. As the two breath attacks came from the dragon slayers mouths and intertwined, the bandits began to run, but they were all trapped in the water and lightening vortex. When the attack was over, all the bandits lay twitching on the ground. Tempest made quick work of tying their hands together in a long line with the ropes she looted from them. Upon threat of further pummeling, Tempest found that the villager had been tied up in the basement storage of the temple. With the grateful villager in tow, and all the bandits walking behind them, Tempest proudly marched to back to the village with Laxus, and to her first payment.
