Chapter 5
(I realize now, that I was a little unclear last chapter. Tempest caused the storm, that produced the lightening that stuck Laxus. She didn't control the lightening, Laxus drew it to himself, like a lightening rod.) {sorry guys. You know how when u have something important u put it somewhere you wont forget, and then you cant find it... imagine doing that with a flash drive... when you're moving houses... yeah...just found it}
When Laxus and Tempest made it back to the guild, word had already spread about their mission. They were immediately greeted by the Thunder Legion, who congratulated Tempest. She made her way to the bar, and sat on a stool near the end. Lucy made her way up, to sit next to the dragon slayer.
"Everyone is impressed by your teamwork with Laxus. He finally has a dragon slayer team mate! Natsu, Wendy, and Gajeel always work together, and Laxus usually worked alone, it must be nice for him!" Lucy exclaimed.
"Well Laxus has been S-class for quite some time. And should he need assistance he always had the Thunder Legion. He probably just likes working alone. It was probably him just letting off some steam. Its not the big deal everyone is making of it... especially Freed. I'm afraid he's gonna think I'm trying to steal Laxus from him..." Tempest said nonchalantly. Across the guild hall, Freed sneezed while glaring daggers at the newest guild member.
After securing a room in Fairy Hills, Tempest decided to take a quick swim in the ocean behind the guild. When she got to the beach however she was not alone. Gray was about 20 feet down the beach, practicing his magic. Tempest shook her head. Two strides from the ocean, and he wasn't enjoying the water. This was shameful. Tempest ran into the water, and dove under. The cool ocean water was refreshing and teeming with life. Tempest swam down to the bottom and sat on the sand, using rocks to hold herself down. She looked around at all the fish and sea life. When she could no longer hold her breath, she opened her mouth and began to consume the water. After swallowing, Tempest began to swim to the surface, swirling water around herself. By the time she made it to the surface, she was in the center of a sphere of water. The sphere of water sat atop the surface, and Tempest was above sea level. Gray was still training on the beach, not even looking at the ocean... Tempest would change this. She burst the sphere as if it were glass. Every "shard" turned into a whip, racing toward the ice mage on the beach. The first whip shattered the sword he had created, the second, he turned to ice. And the battle was on.
