sorry about the wait.~*

Tempest clutched the wound on her side as she ran, thinking about how she ended up in this mess.

When Tempest and Laxus had departed the train, the sun was setting. Laxus wanted to go to the hotel, but Tempest had insisted they meet the client.

They met with Mr. Mitsuri in a townhouse near the city's center. He looked well- off, but personality wise... He was a Slime Ball. The first thing he did was rub his mustache, and kissed Tempest's hand. She was disgusted from that point on. She let Laxus do the talking, as she took in the surroundings. On the table in the corner, there was an envelope with a strange wax seal, but from her seat on the couch she couldn't see it. It was probably from the town's mayor. The room was pretty barren of anything aside from furniture. The client's assistant caught her searching gaze, and pocketed the envelope on the table.

After leaving the townhouse, Laxus lead the way toward the hotel, but the directions they had been given were... difficult to understand. They kept ending up on a path in the woods. After the 3rd attempt, Laxus decided to follow the path. An eerie feeling settled into their stomachs. They were obviously being led to a trap. What was this mission really about. It was supposed to be a delivery.

About 5 minutes down the path, once they could no longer see the lights of the city, they heard a noise from the left. Tempest tried to turn, but it felt like she was tied with rope. Laxus had apparently been in the same boat, because he spewed a few curse words. People began to emerge and surround them. A dark guild. And one of them used a paralysis spell.

"Run" Laxus had said. The guild laughed, but Tempest knew he was talking to her. She braced herself for whatever he was about to do, struggling against the magic they were under. She toned everything out but Laxus trusting him completely in that moment,

"Lightening Dragon Roar!" Laxus yelled. Once his lightening began, she felt the magic binds give slightly. The user hadn't been hit, but he was distracted, enough for Tempest to move her arms.

"Water Dragon: Wing Attack" Tempest yelled, moving her arms to direct the water. It worked, she was free from the spell, and she took off. About 10 yards away, she hesitated. She looked back to see if Laxus had escaped the binds.

"Pierce." a high pitched females voice called. Tempest screamed as a earthen rod punctured her side. The rod turned back to dirt as the annoying woman began to form another spell. Tempest took off running again.

Tempest guessed she was being followed by 3 of the dark guild members.

"Focus Tempest." she told herself. A loud crack of lightening struck somewhere to her right. That must be Laxus. Now to loose the mages attacking her. Tempest took a risk, stopping and turning around.

"Water Dragon Secret Art: Drowning Sphere!" Tempest thrust her arms out to the sides and as water began to swarm around her and the enemy drew near, she rapidly moved them to cross in front of her. Her arms were in the shape of an X. palms facing each other. This was the first time she had tried this move before in a fight. Sweat dripping from her brow, Tempest's water encased the 3 mages in a large sphere of water. They began to clutch their mouths and throats, unable to breath. Tempest rotated her palms inward, until her palms faced up. The sphere's outed edge began to shrink, and the sphere imploded. When the spray of water cleared away, the dark guild members lay still on the ground. Tempest didn't check to see if they were dead or just unconscious, she took off toward Laxus. She had another dangerous idea.
