Chapter 26
Prince Hans and the exiled Duke presided over their army. After some time spent training, the criminals seemed to complement the Southern Isles army quite well. Hans was absolutely sure that he could take down Arendelle and he spared no expense to ensure that he did. The boats where almost at the castle's doorstep when The Duke started to have second thoughts.
"Your grace are you sure that we are ready to take on queen Elsa's army?" asked The Duke
"I am positive that we can and will obliterate them." Said Hans without taking his eyes of the map he was reading.
"But your rat he told you that Elsa is aware and planning for our arrival." Said the duke
"He told me himself that she does not know how many men we are taking or when we will attack. We have the element of surprise therefor we have the upper hand."
Back at Arendelle Queen Elsa and James where reviewing battle strategies and making sure every person was safe within the ice walls that she had created. They were pretty deep into the conversations when Johannes barged into the room.
"Queen, they're here" he said while shaking like a leaf
James and Elsa immediately sprang into action
"James go make sure every man is on his post, Johannes go make sure Anna and Rosalie are safe and please tell Kristoff to make sure Sven and Olaf are safe."
"What are you going to do?" asked James
"I am going to make sure the ice walls are safe." Said a determined Elsa
"Please be careful." Said James
"I will love." Replied the queen she gave him a quick kiss before she left.
Johannes hurried to Anna's room where a confused Kristoff opened the door.
"What's going on?" He asked slightly annoyed at the fact that he woke the baby
"The war is about to commence I have orders from the queen to keep Anna and the baby safe. She requested that you find Olaf and Sven." He said
Kristoff's eyes widened and he closed the door for a moment .Anna stood there holding Rosalie and trying not to lose her calm.
"It's going to be alright, I will get Sven and Olaf ." He said while hugging his family.
"Hurry back." Whispered Anna.
As Soon as Elsa was done checking the walls she gave the signal to ring the bells in order to warn the villagers of the oncoming attack. Everybody dropped what they were doing and rushed to their houses where they would be ready in the event of a home invasion. Once everybody was out of the way Elsa rode back to castle where she found James.
"Everything is in order all of the men are ready for battle." He said
"That's grate, Anna and the baby are with Johannes and Kristoff will join us as soon as he finds Sven and Olaf."
After what seemed like an eternity Kristoff managed to find Olaf and Sven. He rushed them upstairs to Anna's room as fast as he could.
"Your back." Said a relieved Anna.
"I brought you Sven and Olaf but I have to go and fight now." Said Kristoff while trying to not sound worried.
"Please be carefull." Said Anna with tears in her eyes. Kristoff wiped away her tears and gave her a kiss.
"Sven buddy take care of Anna and the baby, you to Olaf"
Sven gave him a lick and Olaf assured him that they would be fine.
Johannes who had stepped out of the room to give them some privacy was now back with another message.
"Sir Kristoff they are approaching I believe Queen Elsa is waiting for you."
Kristoff said one last good bye before hurrying off to the war.
