Randy's POV

I paced my room impatiently. I was meeting Theresa in a half hour. Was I nervous? No, not at all. I mean, who wouldn't be nervous to spend some time with your crush who probably doesn't like you back, especially after you only discovered your feelings for them DAYS ago and have no idea what to do, say, or even think?

Okay, maybe I was.

I was acting like a shoob, but what could I do? It wasn't even a date, yet I was beyond nervous.

I tried to relax, but that wasn't working.

"For the love of shoobmanity, answer me Cunningham!" Howard shouted at me over the phone. Oh yeah. I was talking to him.

"Um, what did you say?" I asked. He groaned.

"Cunningham! You have to act cool! It's not... Not a..." He trailed off.

"Not a what?" I asked.

"It's not a date! There. Feel better?" Date. Wonk. I forgot that word could be in play.

"You know, I forgot about that until you DECIDED TO BRING IT UP!" I shouted, my voice rising.

"Do you want my help or not? Cause I'll hang up on you, leaving you to figure out what to do all by yourself." He said firmly.

I groaned again. Why was this so hard?

"Yes! I want your help!"

"Good. Now, pretend like you're just hanging out with her. It's nothing big. Just hanging out."

"Yeah. Hanging out. Just hanging out." I repeated.

"And you also might want to leave if you want to get there on time to meet her."

"Right! Thanks buddy. I'll let you know how it goes later." I said before hanging up. I grabbed my bag and ran down the stairs and into the garage. I grabbed my bike and opened the garage I wheeled my bike out and mounted it, ready to leave the neighborhood.

Later, at the Game Hole...

I parked my bike next to the building and smoothed out my hair. I walked to the door and opened it, looking around for Theresa.

"Hello there Randy." Greg said, coming in front of me. I smiled.

"Where's Howard?" He asked.

"Sick." I answered, stepping aside. "Hey, uh, I gotta go look for someone. I'll see you around, okay?" Greg nodded and I hurried off, looking for Theresa.

I first went to the Food Hole, but didn't see her there. I kept looking by every game for her. Call me desperate, but I was hoping that she didn't bail.

After an unsuccessful look, I slumped down next to Dance Dance Revolution.

"Great. She ditched me." I mumbled. The Nomicon glowed for my bag.

"I know. Getting your hopes up can bring a ninja down." I said quietly.

"Hey Randy. I've been looking for you." I looked up and saw Theresa. I smiled.

"Oh! Um, yeah. I've been looking for you too." I said sheepishly, wanting to laugh at the Nomicon.

There was a moment of awkward silence before I remembered that I was on the ground. I stood up and wiped off some dust.

"So... Wanna try and beat me at Dance Dance Revolution?" I asked. Theresa grinned.

"You're on." I took a coin out of my pocket and slid it in to the slot.

"We shall begin, m'lady." I joked, hopping on to the platform. Theresa followed me and the game began.

Time skip...

Theresa and I walked out of the Game Hole around six ish. The sun was starting to set.

"Six straight hours of playing games, and the only one you beat me at was Dance Dance Revolution." Theresa said, crossing her arms with a smug look on her face.

"Hey! I was going easy!" I claimed. She smiled.

"Mhm." I grinned.

"I want a rematch sometime this week." I said.

"I'm okay with beating you again." She replied. I crossed my arms and pouted.

"Meanie." I mumbled. Theresa giggled, making me smile.

We kept walking and talking until I approached her house.

"Thank you for this." she said, climbing her porch. I followed.

"No problem." I said, putting my hands in my pockets. She turned to me and kissed my cheel. She faced the door, her face pink.

"Thanks again." She opened the door and entered, leaving me dumbfounded. I touched my cheek where she kissed me, my face turning pink. The door opened again and Theresa poked her head out.

"Watch your step." She said. I nodded and the door shut.

I turned and started down, but tripped and face- planted. I groaned in pain.

Theresa watched Randy get up and walk away from the window. A smile made her way to her face. She reached up and touched the ear piece that she had. She never turned it on.

With a sigh, she pulled out a tape recorder. Randy's voice and eyes, plus his form, matched the Ninja's.

Theresa let it drop to the ground. She lifted her foot and hesitated.

Finally, without a second thought, she crushed the evidence of Randy being the Ninja...

And the evidence that Randy said he liked her.
