{Third Person P.O.V}
Things hadn't been the same since that day, Kerai had started treating the people she was once friends with as complete strangers. For the first few days, they tried making her remember what she had forgotten. But it never got far, every time she tried to remember she would get a sever headache. Soon they all gave up, and when they did small memories came back.
Currently Kerai was standing in the middle of the training area, mindlessly looking up at the sky. Her violet eyes scanned the open sky as if searching for answers to her many questions. Just behind her was Levi, he watched her carefully. Because she had no recollection of him, Kerai had begun to avoid Levi. Only talking to him as often as co-captains had to, nothing more nothing less.
"What's next, captain?" One of the young cadets approached Kerai and asked.
She directed her gaze to the young man. "Uh...eight laps around H.Q." She spoke with an uncertain tone.
"Yes, sir." With that the cadet returned to the others and then started their laps.
Kerai watched them till they were out of sight, then her attention was drawn back to the sky. After a while she let her gaze drop down to her hands. The fingers of her right hand traced over her left hand, lingering over the ring on her third finger. She knew it held great value but as to what she was unaware of. Without a word to anyone, she turned and headed inside. Levi watched her till she was out of sight, as much as he wished to follow her he remained.
A few hours later, Levi made his way inside H.Q. and, out of habit, to Kerai's office. Inside Kerai was napping at her desk with a couple of albums strewn across her desk. He smiled at the sleeping girl and quietly approached her. The album she had open was turned to a page that the two had put together after a year or so of being together. Levi picked up the album and leafed through it. He smiled to himself as he glanced over the pictures.

She always did have a knack for photography...wonder when she had the time to take so many pictures... I thought as I glanced over at Kerai's sleeping form.
I couldn't help but let a sad sigh escape from my lips, I missed the way we used to be. Yeah we argued, cursed each other, but at the end of the day it was just because we loved one another. To have her not remember any of that tore me apart. I want so badly, to just sit down and fucking tell her every damn thing that's happened. But I know it probably won't do anything. Kerai moved in her sleep, her arms contracting then relaxing. Her beautiful violet eyes slowly opened, expressing how tired she must be.
"L-Levi?" She asked as she rubbed her eyes and sat up. "What are you doing in here?"
"I just came to check on you." I answered and sat the book down. "How are you feeling?"
Kerai stretched her arms as a small pout form on her lips. "Confused." She replied.
"About what?" I ask and sit in the chair in front of her desk.
"Everything...I feel like I'm forgetting something...but I have no idea what it is. It feels like I'm breaking a habit but which one?" She replied. "...I hate having so many questions and no answers."
I wanted so damn bad to tell her everything but instead I reached out and gently held one of her hands. "Don't worry...you'll have the answers soon enough."
Any other time I had tried to touch her, she pulled away. This time she simply looked at our hands. I could barely see a faint blush dust her porcelain face. Despite this growing pain in my chest, I do my best to smile at her. Kerai locks gazes with mine, as if searching for something.
"Levi?"
"Yeah, Kerai?"
She pauses for a minute to gather her words. "What are you to me?" She asked.
"What do you mean?" I try to get some clarification.
"I mean...there are a lot of pictures with me...and you are always looking out for me...I get the feeling that you were important to me, but I can't place why." She explains.
I sigh and shake my head. "If I'd tell you, you wouldn't believe me."
"Maybe." She agreed. "But I still want to know."
I looked back to her and noticed a familiar determination in her eyes. "Kerai, you and I have been married for eight years. We are co-captains for the special ops unit. The reason you can't remember certain things is because you suffered a major blow from the female titan. You only got hurt because I wasn't strong enough to protect you like I promised. I'm glad you are okay, but I hate seeing you so confused and not being able to say a damn thing to help it." I spill out.

{Kerai's P.O.V}
Levi's words...they...they make my head hurt... I place my free hand to the side of my head. They don't sound right...but at the same time they do...I remember the female titan's attack...vaguely...but I remember it... What seemed to be old memories, flashed inside my head. Many of them were too fuzzy to really know what they were. But the definite ones...were ones with Levi.
"I'm sorry, Kerai. Is your head hurting you?" Levi asked and gently placed his free hand over my hand on my head.
"I-it's fine...just...trying to remember." I say to reassure him.
He gently brushed my hair and smiled. "Even if you are remembering, I fucking hate seeing you in pain."
"It's not your fault...it's that damn titan's." I say, getting a soft chuckle from Levi.
"If it's any consolation, we did capture them." Levi murmured.
"Y-you caught the female titan? Isn't that thing huge?" I ask, more confused than anything.
"Yeah, but it turns out the female titan is another titan-shifter. Like Jaeger and you." Levi explained.
Another titan shifter...Jaeger...he was one of the new recruits, right? What would happen...if... "Levi?"
"Yeah?"
"Can we go see the female titan?" I ask him.
"Why would you want to go see that fuck?" He asked in response.
"It may seem crazy...but I think if I see them, it could trigger memories." I explain to him.
Levi looked at me like I was crazy and maybe I was, but you never know until you try. "We don't have any other ideas, so why the hell not?" He agreed.
With that, Levi and I headed out of the office. I followed closely behind him as he lead to the underground cells of the Survey Corps. I had personally maybe been down here one time before, but that was to get something. The walls, floors and ceilings were all cobble broken every so often by metal cell bars. This was made to make any captured criminal or disrespectful cadet break and get in line. Towards the very back of the hall was a giant crystal like ball, strapped to the wall. The closer the got, the more my head began to throb. I ignored the feeling and continued to get closer. As we stood in front of the crystal like object, I noticed the girl inside. I vaguely recalling seeing the girl while visiting Keith and the training squads. The pounding in my head grew more violent the longer I looked at the girl. She does look like the female titan...exactly like that titan...the one that erased special ops...the one... Before my thoughts could progress any farther, the pounding became too much. My thoughts jumbled together and my body went numb. Though I tried to remain upright, I crumpled to the floor and lost consciousness.
When I woke up again, my head was still pounding but it was numb. I noticed that I wasn't in the cell area, but in a familiar office. I looked around the room till my eyes landed on Levi. He was sitting at his desk, reading a book. I quietly sat up and stretched my arms and legs. Apparently the small action caught Levi's attention, evident by him closing the book and turning to me. His normal cold grey eyes appeared soft and he quietly made his way over to me. Levi squatted down in front of me and gently brushed some of my hair back.
"Are you okay?" He asked quietly.
"I'm getting better." I say and slightly smile.
"That's good." He murmured.
His fingers continued to run through my hair, sending a warm feeling through me. Out of, what felt like a habit, I gently grabbed his hand and leaned my head into his hand. Most of my memories weren't back, but this just felt right. Levi was someone I could trust, which meant I could trust his words. He brought his head close to mine and rested his forehead to mine. A smile tugged at my lips and easily slipped into place.
"I may not remember everything," I started, speaking quietly. "But if you're with me, I think they'll either come back or you can enlighten me."
Levi smiled softly. "I'm not going anywhere any time soon."
With that he gently placed a kiss to my lips and held me tight, I love you...Levi...
