Hi guys, Dia here and I'm sorry for being so late, well due to stupid homework and school, yeah school, it's a devil. I'm sure not everyone hates school, some might even love it, but it's your opinions after all! I was actually planning to continue this Summer, but I found out I have plans…. yeah. So here is the next chapter and I want to thank Clockwork Marionette for giving me such good ideas and again, I'm super sorry for being so late!
Chapter 2 - Accident
Len's POV
I watch as Rin tie a knob with the thick rope onto her bedpost and throw the rope out the window, okay, mom is seriously going to kill me, but I'm going to die of boredom if I don't get out of here soon. I watch as Rin walk over to the window and grab on tight to the thick brown rope, three stories tall, that's the floor we're at now.
"I'm so killing you if I got a bruise." Rin snickered and picked her leg up to go over the window and slide down the thick rope, I could hear the rope pulling Rin's bed until there was a light thud signaling she landed safely on the grass.
Running over to the window I saw Rin sitting on the ground glaring at me, then she cupped her hands to her mouth ready to yell at me.
"Hey! How long are you going to stare at me banana head?!" I chuckled slightly and shook my head holding up the rope and look around my surroundings. This is seriously hard for me. I lift my leg and put it over the window then lifting my other leg. Holding tight to the rope, I let my feet jump from the window sill and let gravity bring me down to the softness of the grass.
"See, it wasn't that hard right?" Rin laughed and hold me up brushing the pieces of grass and dirt off my jeans. The more she touched my legs the hotter my cheeks are, why is this happening to me?!
"Um, you know Rin, you don't have to this." I said laughing nervously and back away from her to brush the grass off my jeans. Rin sighed and stood up giving me a weak smile before holding out her hand wanting me to follow her.
"I know I don't have to do this, but I'm your sister after all." She said her smile no fading and hug me tight in her embrace, my smile fade away from her words, sister, this is what she only see me as?
"Not my real sister." I grumpled and buried my head into her soft blonde hair that's gleaming in the sunlight. Rin sighed again and cupped her hands around my face before opening her little pink lips.
"Oh come on Lenny, it's been six years already, can't you accept the fact that I'm responsible of your life?" Rin pouted and ruffle my hair making me giggle and hug her a little tighter.
"I never see you as my protector, nor will I ever see you as one." I pulled away and give her a big smile of mine, although I know she'll probably not even listen to me, why bother? Of course, I care for her don't I? I watch as Rin get up and check her surroundings before pulling me up with her.
"Come on, we have to get going. Don't want mom to find out would we?" She smiled questioning me and I nod my head slightly. Sure I can't have her, but I could at least enjoy this last time I get to see trees. I drag Rin's hand while I run out the front yard seeing her trip over a piece of rock. Giggling at Rin's clumsiness, I wonder how much longer we could be able to do this, not for long I guess.
It didn't take us long to reach a wide stream, I'm not even sure how we even reach to this part of the city. It's really rare to find a stream in a busy city filled with pollution and building everyday. I took in the beautiful image of the stream, the beautiful silky blue water that seems to be floating on top of rocks. Tiny birds chirping along with the calming lullaby of the water hitting the smooth rocks.
"Breath taking is it?" A sweet voice added behind me making me nod my head. This place is truly beautiful, I wonder how come no one ever found out about this place before, but I would rather not. I don't want this beautiful piece of land to be ruined by greedy company owners. I want to protect this land, with Rin.
"It's incredible that it still existed, even with all these companies searching for new lands to build their disgusting properties." I said walking over to the stream putting my hand into the cool water. Weird, the lake seems to be pretty deep even though it seems to be pretty shallow.
"Len." I heard Rin start speaking making me turn around and look at my crush encouraging her to speak. " Promise me you would protect this land no matter what." I looked at her with shock but she only gave me that same old smile that I love, protect this land huh? I like the idea.
"I promise Rin, I promise." I said softly to her taking her hands in mine while bringing my forehead close to hers. I wish we could stay in this moment forever, but life would always get in my way. I heard a sneer behind us making my snap my head behind me to find a certain redhead and a bunch of other boys with him. Akaito.
"Well well, what do we got here?" The redhead laughed making me glare at him. I look behind him to see all the other boys have turned their attention to me with a smirk on their faces. I don't think we can get out of this easily now.
"Nothing that you should care about." I spat back at him and stood up tall on my feet. Akaito is a few inches taller than me but it still seems like he's a giant compared to me who is the tiny bean.
I watch as Akaito glare back at me and grabbed the collar of my shirt causing me to choke a little. "Len!" Rin called and tried to push Akaito away but I stop her. This time I want to deal with this giant myself.
"What is this? Little Lenny finally grew up? Oh I don't need a babysitter!" Akaito said making his voice pitched up at the last sentence making my whole face grow red. I push his body away and punch him in the chest making Rin gasp. Akaito smirked and took a few steps back.
"Interesting. I see the little bean finally decided to grow up huh?" Akaito sneer raising up two fingers gesturing one of the guys to come forward. Another boy with spiky brown hair and a few streaks of white hair walked up to Akaito nodding his head. This guy looks muscular, way too muscular for an average 10 year old.
"Don't mess with my brother." I heard Rin growled and walked in front of me protecting me. No, not this time Rin, this time, I'm cleaning up my own mess. I held Rin back and walk up to the big guy in front of me.
"Come at me." That's the only thing I remember before I felt a punch come into my face and the rest is black and unclear. It's so cold, my clothes were wet, and my mind is dizzy. Help….
Rin's POV
My mind went blank when I see the muscular boy punch Len in the face and stomach before throwing him into the lake. No… NO! That's it, that was the last straw.
"Len!" I cried pushing the muscular boy away trying to pull Len up from the lake. I heard snickers behind me to see Akaito giving me his annoying smirk. Oh I want to destroy his face so bad that his mother can't even recognize him.
"Boo hoo hoo, a weak little girl crying over a dead body. Grow up!" He roared giving a signal to his nasty group to leave but I stop them. I walked over slowly and grabbed Akaito's shirt collar before giving him a hard punch in the face. Oh, this is just getting interesting.
10 minutes later… (sorry, I'm not good at writing fight scenes)
I watch as all the boys scuttle away leaving me lying on the ground with a few scars and a trickle of blood running down my mouth. My body is sore, I felt tears clouding my vision from the bright sun. I just want to rest now, I want to keep away from this nightmare, until I thought of Len.
Quickly, I got on my knees and crawl over to the motionless body of my favorite boy in the stream. I pull his body out of the water completely, am I too late? Please, I'm not too late. "Len, please… wake up." I begged feeling tears trickling down my cheek as I shook Len trying to wake him up. It was no use, what can I possibly do?
No, wait. The hospital! Yes, how could I be so stupid?! I hold Len in bridal style converting my body heat to him hoping it will help. I ran all the way to the nearest hospital pleading I would get on time. Sure mom and dad would find out… but I couldn't care anymore. I won't care anymore.
'Anything for you Len. I don't care if I'm hurt, I don't care if I'm disowned. As long as you're safe.' I said to myself.
Hi guys! Again I'm sorry to be so late, and if you're wondering "Why doesn't Rin give Len CPR?! He could be saved!" Well you see, I think Rin is still too young to learn about CPR, so I have to make her clueless. Sorry guys! I have to hurt Len now! But it's alright, he's not going to die, yet. Or is he?
