Chapter 3: Home

Aragorn awoke just shortly after dawn broke in his bed in Rivendell. He smiled when he seen the two raven haired figures still sound asleep beside him. His heart felt lighter knowing that his daughter was home safe again. But part of him knew that she would be a fighter for the innocent and weak till the day she left Middle Earth.

Suddenly, movement from the other side of the bed caught his attention. He looked over to the love of his life blinking back into reality. Arwen smiled sleepily at him as she sat up and stretched.

"Morning, my love." He smiled, as she looked over at him. "Good morning to you too, Estel. Normally, I am the one who is up first to wake up in the morning." She teased, smiling at him. "Yes, well I was enjoying the peace and quiet before our little ranger awakens." Aragorn smiled, causing a soft chuckle from Arwen.

Suddenly, a small noise of protest and annoyance quieted the pair as they stared down at the sleeping figure beside them. The small figure began to contort her body away from the warmth of the sunlight as shown directly into her face.

"Rose, close the stinking window and go back to sleep…it's to early!" Estella grumbled, trying to hide from the light.

Aragorn and Arwen smirked, trying their hardest not to laugh at her annoyance because they both were thinking about each other when they were exhausted. Aragorn cracked first, causing Estella to snap her eyes wide open.

"What the…where are we?" Estella asked, still very much half asleep.

"Well, I see the sleeping warg has finally awoken." Aragorn teased, causing his daughter to give him a dirty look as she laid her head on her mother's shoulder. "Don't tease her Estel…she isn't fully awake yet." Arwen laughed, oblivious to her daughter sticking her tongue out at him. "Meleth-nin, she is awake enough to make faces at me, I do believe she can handle being teased." Aragorn smirked, looking at his daughter.

"I'll be sure to remember that in the future, O' grumpy one." Estella replied, making Arwen laugh loudly.

Suddenly, a soft knock at the door, causing the trio to look up. Aragorn sighed, getting out of the bed and walking across the cold floor and to the door. Out of the corner of his eye he seen his daughter stretch out and lay in his spot next to Arwen, her head in her mother's lap and her feet where he had just been sitting. Aragorn laughed softly, reaching for the door knob.

When he opened the door, he seen that Elrond was standing there with a rather amused when he seen both Aragorn and Estella's wild hair.

"Good morning Estel…I see that you all are still abed at this hour." Elrond smirked, looking at the trio.

"We just woke up a few moments ago…ada." Arwen smiled as the young peredhil made a sound of protest. "I see someone is no longer a morning person." Elrond teased, as his granddaughter glared in response.

"To me this is not morning…this is the middle of the night." Estella said, making him chuckle.

Meanwhile, the others were just waking up when they realized that they were no longer in the academy, but a beautiful city with waterfalls everywhere.

Lissa, Rose, Mia and Jill were instantly amazed to see the beauty of the world around them. Rose was also annoyed to know that the world was definitely awake when she seen everyone moving around at the crack of dawn.

"Ug…while I am glad to be a human schedule, I do not want to up at the butt crack of dawn." Rose groaned as Lissa gasped.

"Rose…look…I'm in the sun!" Lissa squealed as she danced in the sunlight, making Mia and her sister laugh. "Yay! That means you could protect yourself from the sun!" Rose teased, laying in the warm sun covered spot on her bed.

Jill and Mia joined the Dragomir princess in the joy. They could be in the light and not worry about the sun harming them.

Suddenly a knock at the door caused the girls to suddenly stop their dancing and break out into a fit of laughter. Rose sighed and walked to the door and opened it. Behind the door was Abe and Janine, looking rather amused. Rose's jaw just about hit the floor when she seen them holding hands and her mother wearing a beautiful floor length gown and her long red hair down, except for two small braids that wrapped around the back of her head.

"Whoa…I do not know what is weirder…you two holding hands openly or you wearing a dress." Rose said, making her mother blush and Abe chuckle. "Good morning to you too, kiz." Abe smirked, but not letting go of Janine's hand.

"Hey Guardian Hathaway, Abe…look we can stand in the sun!" Jill exclaimed, causing the three moiri girls to burst in the another round of laughter and giggling.

Janine looked over at Rose for an explanation, but she had none. Abe chuckled, knowing that the girls had never been allowed in the sun without some sort of protection.

"Well, they say that sunlight puts people in a good mood." Abe said, causing Rose to snort. "Too much of a good mood…where are the guys?" Rose asked, as a new figure stood in the door way.

"Still sleeping…I'm surprised you're not, Roza." Dimitri said, making Rose smile and the other giggle and laugh. "I would be comrade…but one, the sun is directly in my eyes due to where my bed is located and two…who can sleep the gigglers three." Rose replied, pointing the Mia, Jill and Lissa.

"Fair enough…where is Estella?" Dimitri asked, noticing that there was a girl missing. "I don't know…I bet she is probably with either her mother or father this morning" Janine said, smiling softly.

"Good…after yesterday she needed to be around them…she needed it." Dimitri said, looking at the adults. "Yes she did, the worst fear for any parent is not being able to protect their child from anything or anyone who wishes to harm them." Abe said, looking directly at Rose when he said that.

Meanwhile, while Elrond, Aragorn and Arwen talked, Estella fell back asleep after laying her head on Arwen's lap. The elf lord smiled when he noticed the ring on her left hand was glowing softly.

"I see that she is peaceful again." Elrond smiled, noticing that his granddaughter was sleeping again. "Aye…I was worried about how she would adjust to being back in here in Adra." Aragorn replied, looking at the miniature raven haired beauty laying in his lover's lap. "As did I…she did not seem to realize where she was when she first woke up…I think it may have been because she had fell asleep while in the school." Arwen added, smiling as she gently brushed the wild curls from her face.

"Her brother was sparring with Glorfindel this morning in the training fields…it was actually amusing to watch…the big brother questioning the man his sister intends to marry." Elrond said, quietly enough for Estella not to hear. "Oh valar…who won that match." Arwen asked, remembering when the twins did the same to Aragorn. "Glorfindel…though her brother did keep his own against him…they were both equally matched." Elrond said, smiling, softly. "That is good…at least he did not have spar against two Glorfindels." Aragorn said, remembering getting ganged up on by his two adopted brothers.

"The badass Russian god was dethroned by my fiancé…I think hell just froze over." Estella mumbled, slowly opening her eyes.

"What?" Aragorn laughed, staring down at her. "The dhampir students at the academy call Dimka a badass Russian god behind his back as a nickname because the way he fights and kills stigoi is stone cold…zero mistakes…he is basically a legend among guardians, just like Rose's mom is." Estella replied, smiling at her father.

Elrond chuckled, now understanding what she meant. It also explained how her brother was able to still stand when Glorfindel threw a kick to his stomach. However, he was going to not tell Estella that detail.

"I see…so are you ready to join the world of the living and join us for breakfast?" Elrond asked, smiling at her. "I would say yes, but I am not going down to the dining hall dressed in this…probably would not be the best thing." Estella replied, looking at the elf lord. "Well, then why don't you leave your parents to get dressed for the day…in their own rooms," Elrond said, staring at Arwen, in particular who began to blush, "And you come with me…I have a surprise for you, katinar-nin." "What?" Estella asked, smiling at him. "You'll see." Elrond said, smiling at her annoyance. "Alright…see you later nana and ada." Estella replied, giving them each a quick hug.

"Yes you will, little one…now go." Arwen smiled, looking at her.

Estella stood from the bed, stretching for the first time and making her back and knees crack. Aragorn and Elrond cringed, having done that many times when waking up from being stiff from battle.

When the pair left the room and closed the door, Estella laughed when she heard her mother squeal with laughter and her father chuckle. She shook her head, trying her hardest not to laugh when she heard Elrond sigh.

The pair walked down the hall until they came to a cream colored door and stopped. Elrond pulled a brass key from his robes and unlocked the door.

"Now…I want you to close your eyes before we go into the room…I will lead you but I do not want you to see the room until you are inside." Elrond said, looking at her. "Okay…" Estella said, looking at him a little unsure. "Trust me." Elrond smiled, as she closed her eyes, "And no peaking, young lady. "I'm not…pinky promise." Estella said, smiling.

Elrond gently took her hand, leading her across the floor, softly shutting the door behind them. He carefully walked her to the middle of the room and let go of her hand. The elf lord was anxious to see her reaction.

"Alright…you may open them now." Elrond said, smiling at her.

Estella gasped, looking around the stunning bedroom for the first time. All around them was a beautiful shade of purple with metallic silver leaves and vines all around the room. The bed was a huge canopy bed with heavy satin curtains that were tied back. The bed spread was soft silver and gold colors, filled with the softest feathers for the blanket and pillows. On the other side of the room was another door way that lead into the bathroom with caused Estella to gasp when she saw the huge hot water bathing pool in the middle of the room and another door that lead into the closet.

"Oh my freaking gosh!" Estella gasped, looking around the room filled with clothing of every kind. There were racks of gowns for every occasion; formal, everyday wear and even for events like coronations. On the other side, there was shelves full of jewels of every kind, making Estella light up. Necklaces, rings, earrings, circlets and tiaras. Elrond chuckled, smiling softly at her joy.

"I love it!" Estella squealed, throwing her arms around the elf lord's neck. "I am glad you like it, penenth." Elrond smiled, returning the embrace. "This is the best…how…did you always know that I was coming home?" Estella asked, stepping back to look at him. "Aye…you forget who you have inherited the gift of foresight from." Elrond smiled.

Estella laughed, her voice making a smile form on her grandfather's face. She loved the room and she was so thankful for everything in it.

"Alright…now you need to get ready for the day and I need to show the others where they can find themselves some clothes and make sure your uncles are not eating all the food before the others have a chance to eat." Elrond smiled, "Oh and I hope you realize that your birthday is only a month away." Elrond said, making Estella chuckle. "Out of curiosity…how much time will pass between now and the time we get back to the academy." Estella asked. "It will hopefully be a month…you and the others will get out of doing your practice trials…but you will definitely be there to take your final exams. Erestor has agreed to teach all of your academic work." Elrond said, making Estella sigh, "What, don't tell me you disapprove?" "Erestor teaching…no…having to do calculus homework…absolutely…I hate math." Estella said, making Elrond chuckle loudly. "Well, between you and I…so do I…but you have to be able to add and subtract when making healing teas…if you put too much of one thing…you could kill someone by mistake." Elrond said. "I know…that is easy…but as a guardian…I don't get to do much adding and subtracting." Estella replied, smiling. "Aye…being a guard you do not get to do much of anything." Elrond smiling.

He smiled down at her and sighed. He could not believe how much his granddaughter grown since he last seen her. If he were to leave Middle Earth that day, he would be able to do so knowing that his granddaughter was safe at home again. He leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.

"I love you, so much, little one." Elrond said, smiling down at her. "I love you too daerada." Estella replied.

AN: alright so, one down and another six more to go…lol. I hope that you all will like this chapter. The only character that I own is Estella. Please remember to review.
