Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Too many stories to write. Thank everyone for reviewing. Love you guys.
Hermione rubbed Draco's back while he vomited into a trash bin. He was having a bad case of morning sickness. Anna was brewing him a potion to help settle his stomach.
"Here it is," said Anna. She brought the tray with a bowl of soup and a glass of water.
Hermione took the tray and was going to give it to Draco but Anna stopped her.
"No, Hermione. It's for you. I have a feeling that if he drinks this it might not work." explained Anna.
"Right," Hermione said as she thought it over. Anna's logic made sense. The woman who made the curse desired to punish her husband. If so, potions to relief the symptoms wouldn't work if the husband drank them. Hermione picked up the spoon and sipped the soup.
Draco put the trash bin down and wiped his mouth with a cloth. "I don't feel like vomiting anymore."
"Good. Hermione eat more." said Anna.
Hermione drank the rest of the soup while Anna handed Draco the glass of water to rinse his mouth. Draco was panting and sweating by the end of the ordeal but he admitted to feeling loads better.
"I hate this." complained Draco as Hermione and Anna wiped large amount of sweat from his face. He looked to Anna. "Can't you find us a cure, yet?"
"I am looking into it. Don't worry." said Anna.
"Anna will find it." Hermione reassured him. As a healer, she knew what to expect but it appeared the curse amplified his symptoms. She stroked his hair to relax him. He need to relax. Her parents were due to arrive any day and they have to act like everything was normal. Draco didn't want anyone to know of his predicament. He was embarrassed but it might be hard to hid due to his obvious symptoms.
After telling Draco and Hemrione to rest, Anna excused herself to check on Lucius and Narcissa. Narcissa was already dressed properly. She was waiting in her bedroom and asked to be allowed to go to the playroom. After Anna gave her permission, Narcissa thanked her and went there. Lucius on the other hand was up a tree in the backyard.
"What are you doing up there, young man?" Anna asked, looking up at him.
"I'm not going back in that house." he said stubbornly. "That couple is ill. I don't want to catch whatever they've got."
"You won't catch it if you be a good boy and not misbehave." said Anna.
Lucius laughed. "What do I look like? Just because I am a child, doesn't mean I'll believe everything you tell me."
Anna bit her tongue to prevent herself from laughing at that statement. When she saw her friends children act this way, it was completely adorable. Lucius was an adult who believed he was a child again. It was hilarious in its own right.
"I am living here now. This is my new home. Nothing you do or say will make me go down." announced Lucius.
"Really?" challenged Anna.
Lucius crossed his arms over his chest to show that he was serious. "Really."
Anna glanced at the sky and saw dark clouds rolling towards them. A rainstorm was coming. When the rain comes, let's see how long he stays in his new home. She could wait for hunger to set in first but she had a better idea.
"Enjoy." said Anna. She walked back into the house.
Narcissa was playing with a toys in the playroom when Anna found her.
"Would you like to play outside?" Anna asked Narcissa.
Narcissa stopped playing and longingly looked out the window. She lowed her head and didn't answer.
Anna smiled at the poor girl. Narcissa was raised with strict parents who gave her restrictions and rules to follow.
Anna revealed a broom she was holding behind her back. "Come, Narcissa. I'll teach you how to ride a broom."
Narcissa's eyes light up and then dropped. "My mummy said my small body will be swept by the wind and I'll fly off into some strange land. She'll miss me."
"Your mummy said that because she cares a lot for you. What does your daddy say?"
"My daddy said I'm not allowed to have a broom until I'm thirteen. I suppose by then, my body will grow and I won't be swept by the wind. Mummy won't have to miss me." said Narcissa.
"How about this? I'll stay close to you. If there is a hint of strong wind I will bring you back in the house."
Narcissa thought over Anna's offer. "You promise?"
"I promise."
"Then, yes."
Anna took Narcissa's hand and lead her outside. She stopped near Lucius' tree. As she had predicted he was curiously watching them. When she brought the broom to his view, she heard the rustling of leaves. It was when she knew she had his full interest. She placed the broom on the ground and showed Narcissa how to summon the broom and then how to fly. She held the handle of the broom as she lead Narcissa around the yard. Narcissa was six feet above the ground but to her young mind she felt like it was sixty feet high. A part of her was scared of falling or being pulled away by the wind but having Anna very close made her felt safe.
"I want to fly too! Me too!" said Lucius. He climbed out of his tree and was running toward Anna and Narcissa.
Anna could conjure another broom but she wanted Lucius and Narcissa to spent time together. She looked to Narcissa. "What do you say? Would you like to share your broom?"
"I suppose." said Narcissa, who was used to sharing her possessions with her sisters.
"Is there only one broom? I want my own! I want my own broom!" said Lucius.
"There is only one. You have to share it or you can't fly at all." said Anna.
Lucius thought it over and reluctantly agreed. Anna lowered the broom and helped Narcissa down. Lucius mounted the broom. He waved Anna away, claiming he knew how to fly on his own. Anna let him have his way. She and Narcissa watched him from the ground. She used her powers to direct the broom back to her when he wandered to far.
"I saw Draco yesterday. He was pale. You and Hermione were taking care of him." Narcissa said.
"He is resting from a common illness. He will be fine soon." said Anna.
"That's good."
"Would you like to visit him?"
"I suppose."
"Do you want to make him a present?"
"I suppose."
Anna walked toward Lucius. "Lucius, time to come down. It's going to rain."
Lucius at the dark clouds coming their way. "They are far away."
"I'll let you play outside again after it dries. Aren't you hungry?"
He was.
"I'll make you snacks to eat and let you color. Come."
Lucius directed the broom down. Anna took the broom from him. She took his and Narcissa's hand. Together they went inside.
"Draco, my parents are here." said Hermione.
Draco stirred from his sleep. He pushed himself to sit up.
"You stay here. I'll go greet them."
"But I want to go too."
"No, you need your rest." she kissed his head and gently lay him back down. "I'mm come back after I am done talking to them."
Draco nodded and fell back asleep. A few minutes later, he woke back up again after hearing a knock on the door.
"Come in." he said. He sat up to see who came.
Anna opened the door. She walked inside with Narcissa and Lucius following behind her. They were holding large parchment in their hands.
"Narcissa and Lucius made you a present." said Anna. She ushered the two toward his bed.
Narcissa stopped at the side of his bed and presented him a picture she drew. "This is us in front of the house." she pointed at stick figures in front of a rectangle and a triangle on top. Two had yellow hair, one had black hair, one with brown hair and another with red hair.
Draco accepted the offering. He was delighted his mother made it for him. "It's beautiful, Narcissa. Thank you." He looked to his father. "And what have you got there?"
Lucius turned the drawing around to show three figures. One had yellow hair, the other hair black hair, and one had red hair. They appeared to be riding on brooms.
"Oh...is that me riding a broom?" asked Draco.
"This isn't you. It's me. This is me on my broom." said Lucius. He pointed to the yellow haired one. Then, he pointed to the black haired one. "This is Narcissa on her broom." He pointed at a red haired one. "This is Anna on her broom." He looked to Anna. "We should have our own brooms." he said, if the drawing was not clear enough.
"Your presentation is direct and vivid. I will take it into consideration." Anna told him.
"It's lovely, thank you." said Draco.
Lucius looked to Draco and snorted. "What are you talking about? I'm not giving it to you. This is mine."
Draco's face fell. "Sorry. I thought...never mind."
Lucius folded the drawing to put it in his pocket. He pulled something else out of his pocket. "I made this for you."
Draco's face light up. He was anticipating to know what it was. Lucius unfold the parchment. It was a rectangle with two lumpy circles inside. One was yellow and the other was brown. "This is you." he pointed at the yellow one. "This is Hermione." he pointed at the brown one. "You are both in bed because you are ill."
"You drew what they are doing right now?" asked Narcissa.
"It's all they do." Lucius said simply.
"I like the realistic qualities." said Draco.
Lucius held his head up proudly. "Thank you." He pointed at two lines drawn on the right with triangles at the bottom. "When you get better, you and Hermione you can have brooms too." He added the brooms in his second presentation encase the first one didn't pursue them that he had to have his own broom. He handed Draco the drawing.
"Thank you both. I love my gifts." said Draco. He blinked back tears.
"Draco needs his rest. Time to go."said Anna as she ushered them out.
Narcissa and Lucius waved bye to Draco as they left his bedroom. Draco was admiring the drawing when Hermione came into the room. He showed off gifts to her.
Hermione studied the Narcissa's drawing. "I see this is you and Lucius. This is me. That's Narcissa. This is Anna. Is this suppose to be Ron or Harry?" she asked, pointing to a another stick figure.
Draco looked at it. "I didn't notice that one before."
"It's adorable whoever its suppose to be." she said. She looked At Lucius' drawing. "Is this suppose to be?"
"Us in bed. You missed an very impressive presentation my father showed us." he said proudly.
"What was it about?"
"He was proposing we all have brooms."
She smiled. "Sounds fun. Let's frame them and hang them on the wall." she said. She conjured fames, put the drawings inside, and hang them on the wall. "I told my parents the news. They are happy for us. They have patients to see to but promise to visit as much as possible."
"That's good," said Draco. He knew it meant a lot to Hermione.
"Mr. and Mrs. Weasley sent an owl. They said they will come down to see us as soon as things are settled with Bill, Fleur, and Victoire."
Draco didn't mind if people are just visiting them. He wouldn't like it very much if the Weasley tried to move in with them like they did to Bill and Fleur. He would rather have little people know about his condition.
Hermione joined Draco on the bed. "What are you thinking?"
"I hope this ends soon." he told her.
"Well, we've got approximately..." Hermione counted her fingers. "hm...ten months."
"Don't joke!" Draco whined. He pulled Hermione to him and kissed her. "You're evil, you know that."
"Who? Me?" Hermione said innocently.
Draco kissed her again.
