It had taken me all day to catch Rider without him being surrounded by an entourage of students. Whether it was a bunch of girls jealous about his looks or a bunch of guys drooling over his feminine appearance; even I had to admit that Rider made me blush a little when we first met. However how attractive he was wasn't what was on my mind, ever since I saw him at the beginning of the day it had been driving me crazy trying to figure out what he was doing at my school.

As the sun had set, I found him on the roof gazing at the sunset as if he were a child seeing his first sunset in the world. As he had known I would find him there he turned and ran into me in a delighted hug.

"With all the students that were crowding you today I was beginning to think we weren't going to be able to talk." I said keeping the calmest tone I could. There was something about Rider that made me be unable to stay mad at him. Maybe it was why Kyou likes him so much as his Servant.

"I'm just glad I get to see you Saiya, It is just a huge bummer that we aren't in the same class." He said as he looked into my eyes and gave me a sweet smile. I winced as I almost withdrew the question I was about to ask him. However I wasn't about to let his handsome face and adorably pretty eyes dissuade me today.

"So where is Kyou? Did he send you here?" I quickly asked before I decided I'd regret it. It was when Rider's face slowly sank as his eyes trembled like he was going to start crying. Seeing the sorrow and loneliness in his eyes broke my heart, In that moment I had the urge to hold him as if he were my child.

"I don't know where Kyou is, he just gave me this school uniform and forged my enrollment papers and told me to come to your school and help protect you while watching over the place." He said as he looked away, bravely quickly trying to wipe away the tears before they came.

"That was last night, I haven't heard from him since…" He said in a whimper. I couldn't believe my ears, why would Kyou drop off the grid without letting the other Red Masters know about it? And why leave Rider out in the cold like that? It just didn't make any sense. It was then I heard Rider begin to cry and I quickly pulled him into my warmest embrace.

"I'm sure he is fine Rider, Kyou seems like the person who would stay out of trouble, especially in the Holy Grail War." I said trying to console him. Although what I had just said left me concerned as well, what happened to Kyou? Does he know something the rest of us don't? And if he did, was it really that bad in order for him to go into hiding?

It was then I realized that Rider was staring in my eyes. As I looked back into his he leaned in close. His soft hand resting on my cheek as I felt my face turning red; "what the hell was he trying to do?!" I wondered. It made me think that Rider had gotten into watching some cheesy romance anime and he thought trying it out on the prettiest girl he knew. It was then I realized where my train of thought was heading and I quickly mentally slapped myself.

"Saiya…I want to ask you something…" He said in a soft whisper that made me think he was about to get on one knee and propose to me. I was surprised I was still able to maintain my composure from freaking out to the moment. It was a struggle even to form a response as I was almost expecting him to kiss me.

"Y-Yeah Rider…? What is it…?" I stammered wishing he'd just get it over with before I passed out. It was his next response and our sudden audience that made me nearly throw him off the roof.

"Can I stay with you…? With Kyou gone I sort of don't have anywhere to stay." He said as he gave a pitiful whimper. It was then that I was speechless. He seriously did all that just to ask if he could stay at my house?! No normal guy does that! I felt so embarrassed thinking he was going to kiss me that I thought I'd explode.

"Well what do we have here?" a voice said as I heard the clicking of a cell phone camera. As I turned I saw Akari and Rika waiting for me; Akari with a mischievous grin on her face and Rika with a surprised blush on her cheeks although I could see the giggle she was trying to suppress.

I quickly pushed Rider away in a fit to explain myself. "I swear it is NOT what it looks like!" I said as my flushed face felt as if it was coming to a boil. That was when I saw Akari holding the cell phone with a picture of me and Rider on it. Akari chuckled her grin having not left her face as she told me.

"I think I'll hold onto this little juicy romantic moment for memory's sake." She said as she tried to suppress her own laughter. I wondered quickly if Akari and Rika had heard our conversation and began to nervously sweat. As I was about to open my mouth to explain Rider quickly ran over to them with a delighted smile and sparkle in his eyes.

"You must me Saiya's friends! I'm so glad to meet you both! My name is Kazuke Asajima! What's yours?!" He asked as he curtsied introducing himself. Akari and Rika seemed caught off guard by this abrupt introduction as they each introduced themselves promptly. I sighed with relief as I silently thanked Rider for breaking up what would have been an embarrassing moment for me.

The situation sort of broke down into small idle chit chat as Rider filled their heads with how he liked the school, his compliments on their looks, their compliments on his looks, and how he was glad that we were friends and such. As we left the school I noticed a long dark limo out in front sitting there in the road as if it was waiting for me. I clenched onto my bag tightly ready for trouble until I saw the side window of the limousine go down. It was then that I saw Alice waving me over. I looked at the others as Akari and Rika were looking at me confused.

"You guys go on ahead without me okay? And show Kazuke where my house is at, I'll be home soon." I said giving them my best reassuring smile. The both of them slowly nodded as they began walking ahead. Rider was looking at me with worry written all over his face as he followed after them.

As I stepped closer to Alice's limousine the door opened. "Oh don't be shy Saiya get in, with all this fighting going on we haven't had much of a chance to talk as friends!" Alice said with a suspicious cheer in her voice. As I stepped into the vehicle I was in awe of the interior that I saw. The inside was lush with soft leather seating, a fluffy carpeted floor that almost made me want to take my shoes and socks off just to see how soft it felt on my feet.

It was then I saw Alice smiling at me as she wore a beautiful blue blouse over a pair of leather pants and what I assumed to be really expensive shoes. She gave me a suspicious smirk as her servant Caster obediently sat at her side giving me a warm motherly smile.

"I must say dear Saiya that uniform looks fantastic on that body you have." Alice purred making me wince with revulsion. Klaus's words still rang fresh in my mind of what Alice had done to him and so any meeting with this woman made my blood boil.

"Thank you Alice." I said accepting her rather creepily suspicious compliment. I was sure that Alice was one of those people that when they started giving compliments; the person that received it always got a knife to the throat. Resisting the urge to look around for that knife I asked.

"What was it you needed to speak with me about Alice? Has something gone wrong with the war?" I asked, to which she heartily laughed as if I told a joke.

"Wrong? No Saiya dear not in the slightest! In fact I received the best news of all!" she said happily as she leaned in close before I could ask what the news was.

"My dearest Caster and Assassin have tracked down Berserker of Black and his Master on the move on the very edge of town. I've dispatched Vladimir and Maria to go after him and I was wondering if you and Saber would rendezvous with them tonight." She said as a twisted smile had creased her lips. Honestly I didn't think I could be anymore disgusted with that woman than I was in that one moment. Her own Servant had more refinement than her! Before I realized it the limousine had been moving, I guessed as a show of good faith in the mock friendship Alice was putting forth to me. She must have figured giving me a ride home was a good way to start earning my trust.

It seemed like hours as I thought about it and then looked at her. "Alright we'll meet up with them tonight. I'll be sure to take his Master alive and bring him back to you." I said as I gave Alice the most venomous glare I could manage. She raised an eyebrow knowing she had not mentioned anything about taking anyone alive and wondered how I knew the target's importance.

"In any case…there is the matter of Kyou going missing." She said as her smile ceased into a cold frown. This had caught my attention. Not only did she seem genuinely disappointed at one of the Masters be missing in action it seemed as though she had no involvement in it. "So not even she knows…" I thought as I stared at her.

It seemed like an eternity before the limousine stopped in front of my home. "We will deal with that case later, if Rider is alive then that means so is he, for now just take care of Berserker of Black and his Master, understand?" I nodded and opened the door. As I left I turned towards Caster.

"I hope the rest of your evening goes well for you Caster." I said demonstrating the most respectful bow I knew. Caster only smiled hiding her mouth behind her kimono sleeve sincerely seeing me off with a little wave. I felt satisfied as I felt Alice tremble offended by my rudeness to her as I walked home with a smile on my face.
