"Know what I mean?"
"I do."
Her mind travels with him to the place he describes, she knows it all too well. His narrative plays, but her unique characters rule her mind.
She's taken back to that dark beginning when she lost everything, the grim shadow she dares not return to, a bright light appears from it.
"She was my first friend."
Andrea's cold and sick body, weakened by sickness appears, warmed by her sweetest laugh. Abruptly, she begins to see in colors that's she's never seen before, never noticed.
"Then she was more."
From the void, she pictures Rick's first friendly smile toward her at the prison… or was it beautiful even?
And suddenly her mind is not where it was before, the colors become more decipherable. It's Rick. It's always been him.
"If I could have one more chance to say goodbye, I'd tell her that finding her in all this, that was everything."
All of her mind was him.
And before she could realize she was wet, she was drowning.
She knew rick.
She.Knew.Rick.
She never knew she was in love.
In the smallest part of her mind, the loudest whisper calls, "I have to get back."
