Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Groaning, you arched your back as you rolled over in bed. Whispering, "Five more minutes..." and reaching out for your clock, you fumbled for the snooze button momentarily before the alarm went silent. Sighing happily, you turned and shifted, nuzzling into the body next to you. Mmmmm... So warm- WAIT. An arm draped loosely around you and your eyes flew open. To your utter horror, you came face to face with sleepy, red eyes and a slow, sexy smile. "Good morning doll face."
The window glass shuddered in it's frame at the volume of your scream. Jerking away unsteadily, the sheets caught your foot and you fell off the bed, and you knocked the breath out of yourself as your back slammed against the floor. Gasping you rolled around desperately on the cold, hard wood, trying to breathe. "You okay down there baby?" You pulled yourself up onto your knees, breathing deeply. "NO! You- wheeze- idiot, I am not okay! -Gasp- Get your sorry ASS out of my room before I kick it out!" He chuckled and flopped back down onto the pillows. "Actually, I don't think I will... Your bed is way more comfortable than the other one." You felt a deep blush cover your face and you rose to your feet. "Allen, GET. OUT. OF. MY. ROOM." Looking into your eyes teasingly, he mussed his hair with his fingers before throwing the sheets off and sitting up. You ground your teeth. "You slept in my bed without wearing CLOTHES?!" He laughed, "Don't be ridiculous, I'm wearing boxers, aren't I?"
That's it! You lunged for your beside table and grabbed the lamp. Allen jumped to his feet warily as you yanked the plug from the wall. "Hey now, easy..." He raised his hands into the air, feigning surrender as you brandished your lamp like a club. "GET. OUT." Allen waited momentarily before his face morphed into a challenging grin and his hands dropped ever so slightly. "I'm calling' your bluff baby cakes."
Ha ha. Idiot.
-Later-
Allen sat mopily at the kitchen table, pouting into his cereal. He flinched slightly as his face started to throb again. He scowled, reaching up to to touch the darkening, swollen, bruise around his eye, and twisted in his chair as he heard soft footsteps padding down the stairs. Your eyes focused on him for only a second before looking away casually. "Did you get all your school stuff Allen?" He grunted and kicked the backpack resting at his feet beside the table before turning back to his cereal. You pulled a granola bar out of the box in a low kitchen cupboard and tore the package open. Leaning comfortably against the counter, you pulled it apart, munching silently, as Allen picked up his bowl and downed the remnants of his cereal. His stood up and set his dishes in the sink. Quietly he turned to stare at you, arms crossed over his chest. You stopped eating mid bite. "What?" Allen tilted his head to the side and snorted through his nose. "I still can't believe that 'Quiet little (f/N) had the BALLS to hit me with a fuckin lamp." Shrugging, you moved forward after stuffing the rest of the granola bar into your mouth and pushed Allen aside to throw your wrapper away underneath the sink. "You asked for it."
Allen's eyes widened slightly before he burst into loud laughter. "Baby, I've asked for a lot of things in my life, but that doesn't mean that anyone actually had the nerve to do anything about it." He flashed his missing canine in a wicked looking grin. "It was kinda hot, actually." You felt the flush burn across your checks and you huffed indignity. Just as you were about to tell him off again, an impatient sounding knock on the front door interrupted you. You looked at Allen, confused. He shrugged. "Hey, your house, I don't got a clue." You thought about it for a minute before it hit you. "Alfred!" Allen's face darkened immediately. Turning quickly, you hurried into the living room to open the door. A strong hand wrapped around your wrist and yanked you back before you could get there. "Why is he here, (Y/N)?" His hand tightened slightly but you twisted and pulled out of his grasp. "I forgot to tell him that I was walking with someone today, I'm sorry, I'll just tell him- WAIT! ALLEN!" He gripped your shoulders firmly and swung you around. Before you could stop him, he whipped the front door open and came face to face with a very surprised looking Alfred.
"She doesn't need a ride today. Leave." Alfred's cerulean blue eyes darkened to a brilliant navy and his stance shifted defensively. "Where is (Y/n)?" He craned his neck and tried to look into the house, but Allen blocked his view completely. Clenching his fist into the wood of the doorway, he barred Alfred from shoving past him like his eyes said he wanted to. "She's here, but she doesn't need you. I'm taking her to school so get lost." Alfred straightened and his eyes narrowed. "I want to see her. Now." You took a deep breath and stepped forward, ducking your head so Alfred could see you standing behind Allen. "Hey Alfred, I'm so sorry I didn't text you last night to tell you Allen was taking me to school today. I know this is kind of out of your way..." Alfred's eyes narrowed to slits. "Last night?"
Allen's head tilted and his lips curled into a smirk. "Yeah, I spent the night and told her I could give her a ride." Alfred's lips curled away from his teeth. "Spent the NIGHT?" You sighed and elbowed past Allen, "Yeah this idiot," you jerked your thumb in Allen's direction, "got kicked out of his house. He needed a place to stay so I said yes." Alfred looked hurt. "It's just one night, Al. Don't worry about it." Allen's inhale turned into a hiss at the sound of Alfred's nickname, but you honestly couldn't care less. "So, Allen and I are walking to school together today. Okay?" Alfred shook his head. "I'm not okay-" Allen stepped forward and interrupted him. "That sucks. She doesn't need permission from you to go to school with her boyfriend. Got that?" Your mouth dropped open. "Wait-!" Alfred and Allen stood face to face, noses almost touching. "Alfred-!" He held up a hand, stopping you from speaking as the two of them faced off. You inhaled nervously. Oh God, PLEASE don't fight..." After a moment, Alfred broke the silence. "See to it that she gets there, Allen." Allen's smile twisted perversely. "Oh trust me, I Will." Alfred snorted with disgust and turned to look at you. "Alfred it's not-" "No, it's fine. We'll talk later, (Y/n)." His angry eyes looked to Allen once more before he smiled slightly at you and, with a backwards wave, walked down the sidewalk, hopped into his car, started her up, and drove away.
Allen muttered under his breath,"Like hell he will..." You whirled on him. "Allen, what the hell was that?!" He shrugged. "I thought he should know that you're not interested." You sputtered furiously. "If I had wanted him to know that I WOULD HAVE TOLD HIM MYSELF!" His lips curved down into a pout. "So you are interested?" You blushed. "Yes- NO- I DON'T KNOW!" He grinned. "Perfect." You continued to yell at him as he slipped past you into the house to grab both your bags and his jacket. "Allen, ALLEN! Are you listening to me?!" He whistled as he pulled the front door closed behind him and tossed you your bag. "C'mon, doll. We're gonna be late." You sighed irritably, "Okay fine. But we ARE going to talk about this later. You're still in trouble you son of a-" Allen grabbed your wrist and dragged you across the sidewalk and over to your garage. "HEY, let go! That hurts!" He looked at you with surprise before letting go and with a muttered apology, ducked under the branches overhanging the small, single car garage. "Allen, what are you-" You froze as he came back into view pushing something you had always been warned about beside him.
"You have a motorcycle?" He smiled broadly, "Yeah, are you surprised?" Thinking about it for a moment, you found that you were not. "No, not really." He smiled widened. Pushing the bike onto your driveway, he dug a helmet out of a back compartment and handed it to you. You hesitated as he swung his leg over the bike. "Um, are you sure you don't just want to... walk maybe?" Allen looked straight into your eyes and a slow, disbelieving look crossed his face. "Are you scared, baby doll?" Shaking your head furiously, you put the helmet on and stepped up to the large, very dangerous, machine. "No..." His smile returned. "Good. I'd hate to scare you." Snorting you threw your leg over the back of the bike and settled into the seat behind him. Slowly, you wrapped your arms around his chest lightly. He turned his head and looked at you out of the corner of his eye. "Don't worry babe, I'll drive safe." He started the bike up, gunning it at the same time, and it roared like a hunting panther. He looked back at you again. "Hold on tight."
Your arms clenched around his stomach with vice like strength and you buried your covered face into the back of his neck as the motorcycle took off and made a sharp right out of your driveway. You felt Allen's rumbling laughter shake his entire frame as the bike whipped down the backstreets before hitting the main roads. OHGODOHGODOHGOD. Alfred, what I wouldn't give to be in your nice, safe, protected car right now! You dug your fingers into Allen's jacket as the bike sped around one particularly steep corner. Oh God, PLEASE let this end soon!
