A/N:*rises from the ashes of school work*

I'M ALIIIIIIVVVEEEE!

So how are you all? I'm sorry that I've been MIA, but i recently recovered from a really bad cold and school work along with volunteer work has been eating up my time; I haven't had the proper time to sit down and type, edit, and publish a proper story.

Anyway, on with the story!

Disclaimer: I don't own NCIS:LA or Deanerys from Game of Thrones

Leaving Nell had been proven to be a difficult one.

Eric worried about leaving her and not being with her especially in her state of pregnancy. They were at their apartment, Nell helping Eric pack and her saying 'it's fine' when he would tell her to sit down.

The case required the team and Eric to leave to Mongolia to a city called Nalaikh. They were dealing with a California- Native mobster named Joseph Andrews who had managed to hack the CIA and Pentagon. He had fled to Mongolia after he and a few of his accomplices had stolen codes for nuclear weapons and is now suspected of staying in the main capitol of Ulaanbaatar. Hetty had explained that Eric was needed there because cracking these form of encryptions required him to actually play Brian Norbon, an accomplice that was supposed to be arriving to greet and aid the final parts of an attack the suspect was planning.

Eric sighed and caught Nell's wrist as she was turning towards the closet. " Nell, please sit down. You told me yourself that you don't feel well."

"That was an hour ago." Eric gave her a look. She had been having some pretty bad pelvic pain, making her stay in bed a little later earlier in the day and it still hurt; she was just putting on a brave face. She eventually complied and lied down on the bed as she watched Eric pack the remaining things into his suitcase.

"I still think you shouldn't have yelled at Hetty and Granger, Nell." Eric chided as he zipped up his luggage and put it by the bedroom door. She looked absolutely offended, sitting up but yelping as a shock of pain went up her body. Eric practically ran to her side, repeatedly asking if she was alright. She smiled and told him she was fine.

"I have every right to yell at them. There are others that they could send but they chose you," she played with his fingers, " and I don't want you to leave; I'll be lonely."

He climbed into bed and lied beside her. " What makes you think I'm going to leave you alone? I would be stupid to even consider such a thing. I asked Rose to stay with you while I'm gone and she said that she'd love to."

"But it's not you."

"And the team isn't you either, Nellie." He sat up in front of her and cradled her left hand, tracing the lines on her palm. " You know I'm going to miss you." He kissed her palm.

"Me too."

The next day, they arrived to a local private airport near the valley. The team had said there goodbyes to Hetty and gave comforting promises to Nell as they all hugged her goodbye, assuring her that they'll keep Eric safe.

The hormones hit her when Eric gave his goodbye.

"You better call me everyday, Beale."She had tears in her eyes.

Eric gave a rueful smile "I will."

"And text me, Skype me-" Nell was cut off by Eric's lips brushing against hers. He pulled back just a fraction, his forehead against hers." I'll send carrier pigeons if I have to." Nell couldn't help a watery chuckle, glad that he was at least trying to make this easier. He got on his knees and kissed her abdomen before standing tall again and kissing Nell one last, long full time.

He pulled away," I love you Ununoctium."

"Love you more Wolfram."

*Two weeks later: 22 Weeks of pregnancy*

"I told you we're not naming her Deanerys."

"Why not?

"Because I don't want her to sound out her name to everyone she meets!" Nell glared as she put down her tablet to fully look at Eric through the web camera. Eric pouted and whined. "Oh come on! Do you know how cool it be if she were named after the dragon queen?!"

"We're not naming her that."

He caved." Fine." Nell put her tablet down and found her chair, nearly collapsing in it with a huff. She cringed, adjusting the seat so the back would lean a little back. Eric smiled in pity, feeling awful that he cant be there physically to help her through the pain. He had been gone for more than two weeks, and the first few days were difficult. He would check up on her often and even phone Rose on how Nell was doing.

"How have you been feeling?" Nell cracked an eye open, looking at the screen." Some days, the pain is pretty bad. Remember when you texted me on thursday? I didn't even leave the bed. Rose made me stay home because she knew that i wouldn't last the day at work," she closed her eyes as she felt another wave hit her, "It feels okay right now but it still hurts."

He nodded in understanding, then smiled a little broader. "And how's my little girl doing?"

"Aren't you just adorable… Well, doctor says she's doing fine. She's pretty small-" Eric cut her off .

"No surprise there; I was pretty small."

"You? I don't believe considering your height." Nell sounded astonished. He said no and let her continue. "She's one hell of a kicker. I swear its all good and calm one minute and WHAM! If she doesn't do karate or soccer, i will be extremely surprised because dear god she's got a mean kick." She couldn't help but giggle at Eric's mortified look." I don't think so! She's going to learn how to surf."

"And what if she doesn't want to learn to surf? Are you gonna hate her if she decides to play other sports?"

"I wont hate her. Its just that surfing is the on-"

She finished his sentence. "Only sport you can actually do?"

"Yeah…Won't make me seem like such a lousy dad, ya' know?" Nell gave him a sympathetic look." Beale, you wont be a lousy dad." He looked grateful at her encouraging words. Silence came over the two and Nell's head was starting to lean a little forward. Eric was glad that Hetty had walked in because Nell was on the verge of falling out of her seat. She looked frightened when Hetty nudged her arm gently but calmed down as she came to her senses.

Hetty looked up to the screen." How are we doing over there Mr. Beale?" Eric waved back." Everyone here is doing good Hetty." Hetty took a more business like stance.

"Anything else to report?"

"Well, Norbon hasn't arrived yet; apparently, they had to delay his flight because there was already suspicion and didn't want to risk it. He should be arriving by tomorrow though. The team- Well, let Callen explain." Eric called the agent over to the laptop and greeted the two women on the other side of the screen.

"Hey Hetty, Hey Nell." Both greeted him, Nell blushing when he said she was glowing; he then looked to Hetty and began to explain." We plan on keeping the Norbon with us and Eric will be going to the location that Norbon and Andrews were planning on meeting. Eric will be staying in the main part of Ulaanbaatar in this hotel he booked just in case andrews doesn't completely trust Eric. From there, Eric will be contacting us and you guys as well." Callen reached for something on the desk." Eric has this earpiece and the team and I will have them as well. If anything, we will be looking to Nell for additional information to help him get through this part of the mission."

"Well, this has been very thought out , I applaud that." Callen and Hetty said a few more things regarding precise locations and bid Hetty and Nell a goodbye and Hetty did as well to Callen,Eric and Nell.

Hetty peaked in one last time into OPs." Oh, Miss Jones I forgot to remind you; you're free to leave if you wish." Nell nodded to Hetty as she walked away. Eric smirked at Nell when she left. "Wow, special treatment. Getting to eat up in OPs AND leave early." She mocked glared at the screen." I wouldn't leave early," she grimaced as she felt a low pain," But i think I am going to leave…some Advil and a cup of sleeping tea may help."

"Is Rose going to take you?" He questioned. Nell couldn't help but scoff," She goes everywhere with me. If I go somewhere with out her, she'll hunt me down…It's nice though. She's a good friend like Kens," She packed her messenger bag and slung it on her shoulder before turning to the screen again," Tell Kensi I said hey."

"Will do," he fidgeted," Keep me posted on my baby girl? And you too?"

Nell rolled her eyes," I text you every minute; But sure, will do Beale." He looked please with her promise.

Nell sighed sadly," I love you. Stay safe?"

"Will do, Nellie. Love you too."

A/N: I'm so sorry that this is such a short chapter! It's just that I feel that I should give some background to Eric's role in the mission so that at least I've set the scene for the following chapters for the mission and Nell's condition. The whole pelvic pain thing is a real thing and there is a name for it but I can't remember it. It normally develops during the third trimester but in some cases can happen earlier in pregnancies.

So yes my darlings. Thank you to those who had been PMing me and asking how I was doing. That was very sweet of all of you and thanks for the reviews in the previous chapter.I will try extra hard to produce the next chapter as early as I can.

Take care wherever you may be in this suddenly chilly world!

Have a lovely evening/ day,

~Scrappy
