"Ruto, how did you manage to pull this one off?" asked Tsunade as she entered the checkup room and saw the unconscious girl lying on the bed.
"Uuum...he said hi and smiled under his mask...that was all he did kaa-san…" said Shizune with a sigh as she put her little brother on the ground.
The buxom blonde sighed and said, "Ruto, go help Kashi in the garden, ok?"
"Hai!" said the tiny boy before he walked off.
"Where are Kimimaro, Haruko and Haku?" asked Shizune.
"Garden. Same as Kashi," said Tsunade, "Now let's try and help this little ojou-chan."
"Ruto, if you want to help me, sit still," said Kakashi sternly as his little brother tried to walk away again.
"Don't bother trying Kashi-san. The boy has entirely too much energy to sit still," said Haruko with a knowing smile.
"At least yours minds you," said Kakashi with a sigh.
"Not really… it's not really voluntary. He knows that if he wants to learn jutsus, he has to listen," said Haruko with a smile, "Ne Haku?"
"Hai, kaa-chan!" said the effeminate boy with a smile.
"Wait… we're down a kid aren't we…?" asked Kakashi when he looked around for Kimimaro, "He was here a minute ago…"
"Oh no….Kashi-san, can you try and find him while i watch Ruto and Haku?" asked Haruko as she took Ruto's hand.
"Got it. Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" said Kakashi after he bit his thumb and slammed his palm to the ground.
"Oh. It's been a while Kakashi," said Pakkun as he shook out his fur.
"Sorry about that Pakkun. I need to find someone," said Kakashi.
"Ok. Well give me something so i can get his scent," said Pakkun as he scratched his ear.
"Right," said Kakashi before he entered the house. He returned a few minutes later holding one of Kimimaro's shirts.
Pakkun stuck his snout into the shirt and took a few deep sniffs before he nodded before he rushed off in a direction,
Kakashi followed the ninken closely, worried for his adopted little brother's safety.
Pakkun's strides began to shorten after awhile before he said, "Kakashi, it's gone."
"You lost the trail?" asked Kakashi worriedly.
"Un. The trail up and vanished like it was washed away."
"Oh no…. Kumo hired Kiri-nin this time…" said Kakashi as he grabbed the ninken and started rushing back to his home.
A tall muscular man carrying a large sword stood in the woods near a large mansion inhabited by only 7 people and seemed to have many visitors. He was only interested in one. His Kumo employers had paid him well to retrieve the Hyuuga girl, but he somehow been found by some fluke mistake by a boy with the marks of the Kaguya clan and he'd had to handle that before he tried to go after the girl.
From his current perch, he saw a woman with long black hair, her kid who looked to be a girl with a weird face mask, and a little blond in a mask similar to the girl's who quickly entered the house after a masked man with silver hair had run off with a ninken. Obviously to try and find the missing boy.
But none of them mattered to Momochi Zabuza. None of them were his target. He'd have to wait to snatch her away from her guards.
"All done sweetheart," said Shizune with a smile, "You are perfectly ok."
Hinata nodded softly and looked down at her clasped hands.
"Come on. It's almost lunchtime. I'm sure that Ruto wants to see his new friend again. And you can meet his older brothers and cousin," said Tsunade as she helped the girl down off the check up table.
"H-h-hai…" said Hinata, her cheeks pink.
"There's no need to be so shy baby," said Tsunade, "We don't bite. At least not cute little girls."
Hinata giggled, but her lavender-white eyes were still locked on her hands.
Shizune sighed but said, "Kaa-san, i think it'll take some convincing for her to trust us but we have a whole week to try so…"
"True," said Tsunade with a shrug, "Come on Hinata-chan. I bet you're hungry."
The trio of females left the exam room and headed for the kitchen so they could make some food for the family.
Haruko looked up when Tsunade, Shizune and a small girl entered the kitchen.
"Oh, Haruko. Where are Kashi and Kimimaro? Weren't you all outside?" asked Shizune as she set Hinata on a stool.
"Uum… Kimimaro wandered off and never came back. Kashi went to go look for him," said Haruko, "He should be back soon."
"I'll go try and help him," said Shizune, "Haruko, can you make lunch?"
"Sure," said the Hyouton woman as she went to the pantry.
The med-nin nodded and walked out of the house and began to track Kakashi.
Zabuza smirked under his bandages. One less guard. Now to get rid of the blonde chick and he could snatch the Hyuuga girl with ease. Maybe the Kaguya brat had been a blessing in disguise.
Kakashi saw Shizune and said, "Turn around! Kiri-nin are here! I think they took Kimimaro!"
"Oh no…" said Shizune, "They're after Hinata!"
"Kuso...We walked into a trap," said Kakashi, "Pakkun, you can leave now!"
"Ok Kakashi," said Pakkun before he vanished.
"Go ahead. I'll try and find the Kiri-nin," said Kakashi, falling into his ANBU training.
"Ok. Be safe," said Shizune as she lingered for a brief moment before she shunshin'd back to the mansion.
Kakashi sighed but stopped and began to look around for any trace of enemy nin.
The woman with short black hair appeared outside the mansion and quickly entered.
"Fuck… i can't dawdle anymore. I need to get the girl," said Zabuza as he began to make hand seals, "Kirigakure no Jutsu!"
A dense fog bank rolled in and blocked everything and started to work its way into the home. The Demon of the Mist leapt into the fog and silently entered the home.
"Tch. I hate Kiri-nin," said Tsunade, "Shizune. Get ready."
"Hai, Kaa-san," said Shizune as she drew senbon from her sleeves.
"I'm not a ninja, but i can definitely help you. A Suiton user is no match for Hyouton," said Haruko stubbornly, "I won't let a child who's under my watch get hurt."
Hinata blinked then looked at Haku and Ruto in confusion.
"Then take them and hide them in the basement. Lock the doors and let no one in until we give you the signal, ok?" said Tsunade.
"Of course Tsunade-san. Ruto-kun, Haku, Hinata-chan, come on," said Haruko.
The two masked boys followed her but paused when they noticed Hinata staying put.
"Som'in wong?" asked Ruto curiously.
"N-n-no…" said Hinata as she carefully got her stool to follow the trio.
"Lets hope it's not one of the Kiri no Shinobigatana Shichinin Shū," muttered Tsunade, "Because this mist could definitely be the work of-"
"Momochi Zabuza. Demon hidden in Mist and master of the Silent Kill," finished Shizune.
