Episode 12: God!
The six arrived at the Tokyo station by train at 6am with their luggage and backpack to meet up with Luvia before they left in the Shinkansen. A beautiful girl with straight long red hair stood on the platform in a light-blue dress.
"Hey Luvia" Yuta waved to the girl.
"Hey Dark Flame Master. Oh I'm sorry, I mean Togashi," the girl waved back, "Hey everyone!"
"But still who would've thought that the Black Phantom was such a cute girl"
Luvia looked away with a flustered face, "Togashi you're making me blush"
"Togashi, what do you think you're doing flirting with Luvia in front of Rikka?" Nibutani asked with an annoyed toned in her voice.
"N-No! You got it all wrong I'm really just saying it with any other intentions!" Yuuta explained as he shook his hands and head.
The Shinkansen left for on a three hour trip to Osaka. Yuuta sat on the three-seater between Rikka who took the window seat and Luvia, Kumin with Nibutani and Shichimiya with Dekomori on the two seaters.
"Yuuta, I need to replenish my power" Rikka said as she shook his shoulder.
"Alright, stop shaking me" Yuuta reach for his backpack and opened it for a packet of potato chips.
Rikka snatched the potato chips off Yuuta, he watched as she began to feast upon them. Something suddenly landed on his shoulder; he looked to his right to see Luvia asleep on his shoulder. Rikka took notice of Luvia, she put away her packet of chips and laid her head onto Yuuta's left shoulder.
Yuuta sighed and closed his eyes for the rest of the trip.
"Togashi… Togashi…!" Yuuta opened his tired eyes to see Luvia in front of him, "We're almost at Osaka, come on get ready, I'm gonna go to the restroom before we get off"
"Sure"
He turned to the side to see Rikka still asleep like a princess. She's pretty cute when she asleep like this… Yuuta brushed her hair to the side while he slowly removed her eye patch as well revealing her beautiful golden eye. He moved in and kissed her open forehead.
Her eyes suddenly opened, "Y-Y-Yuuta? W-What are you doing?" she began to blush.
"A-Ah n-nothing at all… really…" he averted his eyes away from her with his face entirely red.
"Yuuta…" Rikka turned his face towards her, "Yuuta…"
"Rikka you-"
They moved their faces closer and closer together.
A voice suddenly came from the walkway, "Togashi, you ready now?"
The two immediately repelled like two magnets and looked in opposite directions.
"Sorry did I interrupt something?" Luvia asked.
"No!" the two replied in unison.
They got off the Shinkansen and dropped off their luggage in their hotel room. Nibutani led the group to the Tenjinbashi-suji arcade before they had lunch and returned to shopping. Time flew by as each of them enjoyed their moments of shopping, night soon came.
In the hotel room where Yuuta was separated from the girls by the room separator, the girls gossiped all night once again leaving Yuuta restless as he covered his head with his pillow trying to block out the noise.
They woke up early on the next morning; Yuuta was left with huge eye bags due to the non-stop gossip of the girls.
On this second day, they all decided to go on a trip to as many temples as they could, but half way through the trip Luvia collapsed…
Yuuta and the others rushed her to the hospital immediately.
"This is sooner than she said it would be" Yuuta mumbled to himself.
"What just happened?" Nibutani asked in confusion.
"I believe I must tell the rest of you the truth" Yuuta announced.
"The truth?" the others repeated.
"Luvia actually has a heart condition; she was going to suggest us to come to Osaka for the trip but Rikka saved her the trouble. Her surgery was supposed to be on the second last day of the trip"
"Luvia… please pull through…" Nibutani began to prey while the others followed her lead. Even Kumin placed her pillow away and started to pray.
Come on Luvia, you're the Black Phantom, the person that defeated me, Dark Flame Master. You gotta pull through. You're gonna make memories with Rikka and the others right? Come on!
Two hours later, the surgeon came out of the operation room.
"Is Luvia alright? She's fine right? The operation was a success right?" Yuuta asked, his eyes at the verge of tears.
The surgeon closed his eyes and slowly shook his head side to side, "I'm sorry, we tried our very best but…" the surgeon looked to away from the group, "We've already contacted her guardians, you may want to see her one last time"
Twenty minutes later, they reunited with Luvia who now slept silently on the metallic table. Sorrow filled the room, every eye shed their tears.
"Why? Why leave us now? We were supposed to be out making memories!" Nibutani covered her wet eyes.
They continued to mourn when suddenly; a bright light filled the room. A figure of light appeared before them.
"What's going on?" Yuuta asked as he recovered from the sudden light.
"I am the God of Dimension 0 or you can call me God" the bright figure introduced himself.
"God? And what do you want with us? After what you did to Luvia!" Nibutani began to vent her anger out on the figure that called himself God.
"That was not my doing, that was the God of Dimension 8808 in other word the God of your Dimension" the figure replied.
"Still what do you want with us?" Yuuta asked once again.
"I want to make you a deal. I want you all to join the defensive line of Dimension 0, to battle our foe, the Void. And in return I shall ask your God to return your friend to you"
"In that case, I accept" Yuuta declared with little hesitation, "What about you guys?"
"Need you ask? If we can bring Luvia back I'm in"
"I shall follow where ever the Hero goes"
"Dark Flame Master definitely requires the help of the Wicked Eye"
"If Master's going then I'm going"
Kumin who still is in shock just nodded as an answer.
Yuuta turned back to the figure, "Now I just want to know one more thing, how are we going to fight? The only thing we're good at is delusions"
"We will provide you with a device that will grant you the ability to make your delusions come true. Your objective will be to hold the Void back until we can summon our strongest warriors once more"
"Strongest warriors?"
"Yes, Meliodas, Akame, Bell, Eren and Kirito the one that defeated my guardian Zero. I believe you've already met Kirito before"
"What? Impossible"
"Let me ask you this, do you remember what happened during any one of your Qualifier matches"
"Yeah, first match we won, second we won, third we… what happened on the third match? We won by default was it?"
"Exactly, during that match, your team fought Kirito, but he returned to my Dimension in the end therefore you match was a default win"
"But why do I have no memories of that battle?"
"That's because memories of other Dimensions are wiped in short amounts time"
"Now I understand…"
"I will now open you a portal to my Dimension where you will be reunited with your friend"
The figure pointed at the open space of the room and summoned a portal.
We still have many questions but as long as Luvia returns to us, I'll fight whatever we have to fight…
