Underneath the surface, Jasper spent most of her time there. There was no light, no sound. Screaming and shouting, straining to drag herself back to the surface and to freedom. Nothing came of it, ever. It was an endless battle, one in which there was no true victory. Even if she did manage to resurface, Jasper was always forced back down. Alone with only her thoughts and her shame to keep her company.
