InuYasha

Lost Angel Found

Chapter Six

"I want you to be careful in the feudal era. According to Kagome, it's a dangerous place." mama replied worriedly.

"I will be auntie. If I can get through the well, I'll be sure to hold on to Shippo so I don't float away. We better go, I'm sure the others are wondering where he is." Ami answered and dropped in to the well. As the little girl disappeared, purple and red lights appeared.

"Guess it's my turn. Thank you for everything lady Higurashi." Shippo replied.

"You're welcome dear." mama replied as Shippo jumped in. The lights quickly surrounded him as he disappeared. Within a few minutes, he reappeared in the well and landed on Ami's left shoulder. Good thing he did, the little girl was starting to float again.

"Well let's get up there and to the village. I'm sure InuYasha's going to pound me for making everybody worry." Shippo griped.

"You mean he hits you!?" Ami replied, shocked as she started to climb with the little kitsune on her shoulder.

"Yeah, on the head. I guess I deserve it sometimes." Shippo replied.

"Nobody deserves to be hit Shippo. I was on the receiving end of them more than I can count." Ami replied, frowning. She didn't think her hanyou friend would do that sort of thing.

In the village

"Where did that runt get off to!?" InuYasha growled in annoyance.

"Take it easy InuYasha. He probably went out to use the bushes, or something." Kagome replied, trying to reassure her friend.

"Then he should have...wait, I smell him..." InuYasha started as he sniffed the air. "By the well, with...Ami? What gives? Climb on Kagome, we'll get there quicker." As soon as the school was on his back his back, he took off out of the village. With Shippo and Ami.

"Oh no, InuYasha's coming, and Kagome's coming too. What are we going to do." Shippo fretted.

"You're that worried about getting in to trouble Shippo!? Well hang on, I'll take care of this." Ami replied, a little mischief in her voice. She sped up and ran in to the bushes. Crouching down, she gave Shippo the signal to be quiet. As soon as InuYasha ran by, Ami stood up and took off for the village again.

"Where did they go. I know I smelled them here." InuYasha groused. He sniffed the air and a look of surprise came over him.

"What is it InuYasha?" Kagome asked, wondering what had him so confused.

"It's definitely Shippo and Ami and they're heading towards the village. How the heck did I miss them!?" InuYasha grumbled before running back the way they came. Just as the young hanyou did this, Ami and Shippo had just entered the edge of the village and headed to Kaede's hut.

"I can't believe we made it back to the village before InuYasha and Kagome. You sure can run fast Ami." Shippo replied as they got close to Kaede's hut. They almost it made it when InuYasha suddenly jumped in front of them.

"I don't know how the two of you got passed us but you have some explaining to do Shippo." InuYasha demanded and started to reach for the little kitsune, but Ami took a step back and glared at InuYasha.

"I want to know that to Shippo. And what are you doing here Ami? How did you get through the well? You do know that mama's going to be worried about you." Kagome replied crossly. By this time, the others had come out of the hut, wondering what was going on.

"I just wanted to see if I could bring Ami back and help her out. I borrowed one of your shards Kagome. I'm sorry if I worried you." Shippo replied timidly as Kagome took the shard.

"I think we should all continue this conversation inside." Kaede advised, sensing things were about to become a little tense. When they were all sitting down inside; except Ami and Shippo.

"Ami, I want some answers to my questions. Right now!" Kagome demanded.

"Let's see, the answers are; standing, I jumped in and auntie knows I'm here and it's fine with her." Ami replied, with a little sass. Shippo couldn't help but let out a quiet snicker.

"Don't get smart with me Ami! You're not telling the truth. I'm taking you home right now." Kagome replied, standing up. Just as she grabbed Ami's hand, the little girl's powers decided to act up again. This time it was with fire. Ami felt the fire coming and tried to yank her hand away, but wasn't quick enough. It quickly ignited and started to burn Kagome's hand.

"Oww, Ami, what did you do tha for?! You are not supposed to be here and I'm going to get things straight!" Ami yelled. Her anger took ahold of her and she kept yelling until Ami had enough.

"Kagome, shut up already!" Ami roared, becoming angry herself. Kagome looked at her little cousin in shock. She never thought Ami would yell at anyone like that.

"Thank you! As I was going to tell you. To try and make this as short as possible, my powers started to go crazy at school yesterday, The principal saw phoned auntie to come and get me when he saw what happened. She and I both decided that I should come here as this is time period for getting help. As far as Shippo coming to our time, it was a good thing that he did. I needed him to hold me down." Ami answered, taking a breath.

"What do you mean Ami? Why does Shippo have to hold you down?" Sango asked. Ami looked at Shippo, who understood the silent message and hopped off.

"This is why." Ami replied as she started to float upward. Shippo immediately jumped in to her arms again, and Ami came back down.

"Well that explains everything! You should have told me sooner, I would have understood." Kagome replied.

"How, I couldn't get a word in edge wise! And sorry about your hand. I didn't do that on purpose." Ami huffed.

"Okay Ami. I understand now and I'm sorry too. I guess I should go home and see if I can get you a proper weight belt. I need to stalk up on things anyways." Kagome sighed.

"If I may ask Ami, what's happened with your mother?" InuYasha asked.

"She's dead. And before you ask, I killed her. I know it was wrong but she deserved it, after all she's done." Ami answered, scowling.

"Ami, I know she was bad, but you didn't have to kill her. The police would have taken care of her." Kagome replied in shock.

"Does this answer your question." Ami growled as she yanked down her jeans. Everyone gasped in shock as they saw the still angry looking scars and patches on her little bottom.

"She turned the stove element on to high, yanked down my shorts and set me down on it when it was red hot. I screamed bloody murder, grabbed the butcher knife lying on the counter nearby and plunged it in to her heart. After all she's done to me..." Ami growled out, pulling her jeans back up, she answered everybody unspoken question.

Needless to say, everyone was speechless. How could a mother do such an awful thing to a child?! They realized that Ami's mind had snapped and did this crime. No one could actually blame her; after what Kagome had told them. At least Ami knew it was wrong to kill. They made up their minds to help the poor child in any way they could.

AN: Okay, that's what I've got for this chapter. Like I've said before, I would love to hear your ideas of what you would like to read, and I'll do my best to incorporate them in to the story.
