Silence seemed to fill the room as i was trying to find a way to explain just what was going on these past few years. But i soon realized that even i didn't know what was going on. I mean i never really paid attention to all the chaos that was happening to not only me but my friends. I mean for mavis sake i didn't know gajeel had an alcohol problem. I didn't know how depressed levy was. I didn't know cana was prostituting. I still don't know where gray is or how juvia is doing or if laxus is really going to go to jail. And what is going on with erza?

I sighed looking up to my salmoned hair friend who was looking at me worriedly.

"Natsu if you haven't noticed a lot has been happening while you were gone." I began.

"Let me just start by telling you that Lyon has died." I could feel the tension building up in the room as i waited for his reaction.

"What?" He whispered.

"It was an accident an-"

"What happened lucy?" He cut me off his voice vague.

"Well Lyon and Gray got into an argument and Lyon tried to stab Gray so Laxus pulled out the gun that was supposed to be in this library and well..he shot lyon."

It was times like these where i seriously wish that i could just melt into the floor away from all the sadness and dissapointment.

Heat was pratically radiating off of him as his anger and regret slowly began to sink in.

"Natsu.." Happy cried.

"That Bastard.." Natsu growled.

"Natsu don't..it was an accident..but there's a lot more to tell you."

Natsu stiffened as his expression turned to one of confusion.

"Lucy?"

"This might take a while natsu.."

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

"Are you okay?" Natsu finally replied after standing there in utter silence for the pass ten minutes.

I had told him everything from the very beginning and to how my marriage was falling apart from the seams.

"Yes, i'm fine..i just don't know what's going to happen natsu." My voice began to waver as I sat down on the couch looking out of the library window to the street outside.

Everything seemed so calm out there..pure as if nothing could hurt them. But we all knew that this image was just a facade. And that nothing was going to undo what had already been done.

"Lucy.." Happy moaned worriedly.

"Lucy, whatever happens i'm going to be here with you." He spoke with a certain tone that made lucy feel a little bit better.

"Thank you..Natsu." I smiled thankful that natsu didn't completely blow up and try to kill my husband.

"No problem, hey how's juvia?" He asked ignoring happy that flew back on to his shoulder.

"I don't know..every since Laxus shot Lyon she hasn't talked to me...and since Lyon's dead..." My voice trailed off as i let the silence fill in my words.

Natsu nodded in understandment before a sigh made its way out of his lips.

"Well how are we going to get laxus out of this situation? As well as Cana and everyone else?"

"I don't know i mean-"

Before i could finish my words a frantic levy came bursting into the room.

"Natsu, Lucy! Laxus is outside being arrested!" The purple haired girl cried motioning for us to follow.

A million thoughts seemed to plague my mind and not a single one provided me with any hope.

We all raced down stairs and outside and to my dismay levy was right there he was pinned up against a police car, handcuffed looking pissed off.

"Laxus!" I yelled running in his direction only to be grabbed by police.

"What are you doing? Let me go!" I yelled, struggling to get out of the mans grip but to no avail as he pinned me down to the ground.

"Hey get off of her!" Natsu yelled trying to punch the man.

"Are you assaulting a police officer?" The man growled catching natsu's fist before it came in contact with his face.

"No! He isn't, Isn't that right natsu?" My voice was strained from the mans knee on my back but i knew if i didn't speak up and be the voice of reason laxus wasn't going to be the only one going to prison that night.

"Lucy." His eyes showing that same determination that always made her feel calm beamed.

"It's okay natsu just back away." I whispered.

Natsu nodded and slowly backed away.

"Laxus!" I shouted again in his direction.

"Lucy get a lawyer!" He yelled still being pinned by the other police officer.

"Ok don't worry you'll be ok!" I tried my best to smile but under the circumstances came out crooked.

His eyebrows furrowed before he gave a nod and was shoved into the car.

The police officer sighed in relief before getting off of me.

Levy and Gajeel ran over asking if i was okay in which i nodded before looking over to see laxus and the police ride down the street until i could no longer see anything but the gray clouds.

"Don't worry laxus i promise i'll get you back..somehow."

"You can take your break now Erza." A woman in her late fifthies spoke while scribbling down some information on one of the new patients they had received.

"Ok." The scarlet haired woman replied quickly leaving out the back door and into the alley.

Images of that night continued to fill her thoughts as she tried to shake them out.

Why had she done it?

And with laxus of all people. . Maybe it was because she knew her and jellal would never work or maybe it ran deeper. Maybe it's because she had been in countless break ups and found out they all used her for one thing.

Sex.

Erza scoffed taking out a cigarette and fighting with the lighter until it finally sparked.

She lit the cigarette and took a couple of deep puffs before exhaling.

She knew what she had did was wrong and that lucy probably wanted to kill her.

But from the way laxus looked it didn't seem like they had been on good speaking terms anyway.

So was it really my fault that lucy can't keep a man?

Erza laughed at the irony of that statement before a few violent coughs escaped her.

Erza could feel her lungs tighten and her air supply cut short as she continued to cough in her hands.

The coughing stopped and relief washed over her until she felt some water between her fingers.

Erza examined her hands to see that it wasn't water.

But blood.

-Flashback-

"Erza you cannot continue smoking." The doctor spoke showing her an X-ray of her lungs.

"How bad is this doctor?" She spoke her voice shaky and filled with complete and utter terror.

She had gone to the doctor because she noticed she had been coughing a lot and that she felt dizzy almost all the time.

She thought she had the flu but never did she expect anything as serious as this.

"Erza you have 9 months to live but if you continue smoking i'd say you have around 4."

-End of Flashback-

That was 3 months ago and instead of quitting smoking i decicided to increase it.

Nobody would miss me if i died.

I will die alone anyway so what's the point of preserving any life that is left in me?

The red head bitterly thought as she took another puff.

Cana's p.o.v

I sat in the car contemplating just how i was going to get myself out of this predicament.

There was no way i was going to kill anybody.

But then again what other choice did i really have?

I looked over to the gun that was sitting in the passenger seat mocking me.

I quickly turned away ashamed that i had actually did this to myself and that there was no one else to take the blame.

Lucy..what am i going to do?
