12:00 noon (thursday) 1 week from the crash

"Are you sure that's what she said?" Cana spoke shifting around in her seat.

"Yes! I can't believe she'd do this to me!" Lucy cried tossing the phone across the it to hit the wall with a loud bang following behind it.

Levy frowned closing her laptop.

"Well it's definitely understandable considering the circumstances." Levy spoke looking over at lucy who could only nod in agreement.

"Yeah but she knows laxus never meant to kill anyone." The woman replied getting up and washing out what was left of her orange juice.

The room remained silent before a ring went off.

"Oh that's for me." Cana nervously replied before getting up and leaving the room.

"What was that about?" Levy whispered.

Lucy shrugged her shoulders drying off the glass and placing it back in the cubbard.

"Levy what do you think about all of this?" Lucy finally spoke wondering what was going on in her head.

Levy sighed sitting back a little in her chair.

"I don't know lucy, i just hope everything works out in the end." She replied shooting the blonde a little smile.

Lucy returned the smile knowing that levy probably wanted to say a whole lot more. But figured it'd be best just to drop the subject for now.

Cana soon appeared back from her conversation looking as if she had seen a ghost.

"Hey you alright?" Levy spoke eyeing cana's sudden lack of color.

Cana didn't reply instead she plopped down on the couch as if she was in a trance.

"Cana?" Lucy whispered.

The woman didn't budge, which lucy found to be extremely weird. Why was she acting so strange all of a sudden? If anyone should be acting strange it should be her. Considering she pratically just lied to her lawyer about being pregnant and the fact that her husband is going to be trialed for murder.

"Cana?" Lucy spoke again walking over to the girl.

"Hey what's-" She was suddenly knocked back into a wall.

"Cana!" Levy screamed running over to where lucy had slammed into the wall.

Lucy steadily picked herself up placing her hands on the wall for support.

"What the hell was that for?" Lucy growled.

Cana didn't reply instead took something out of her purse.

Lucy squinted to see what the object was but realized it to late as it was suddenly raised right between her eyes.

"Oh my mavis, cana what are you doing!?" Levy shrieked backing away from lucy a little.

"I don't want to do this." Cana finally replied the gun shaking in her hands. But her grip still firm.

"What are you talking about?" Lucy stuttered trying to reach in her back pocket for her keys.

Cana instantly picked up what she was trying to do. "Don't even think about reaching for your keys." Cana spoke her eyes narrowing.

Lucy dropped her hand back towards her side waiting for whatever she was about to do.

"If i don't you take for ransom.." Cana's voice trailed off.

Lucy watched as cana started to shake even more.

"If i don't take youfor ransom they'll kill Mira and Lisanna." Cana suddenly growled out.

"What?" Levy intervened.

"Zeref has mira and lisanna and if i don't take them for ranson zeref will kill them." Cana repeated.

Lucy eyes widened at the sudden revelation. So this is what was wrong with her. But how did zeref get his filthy hands on mira and lisanna? I mean the last time she had seen them was at the hospital after laxus had nearly killed her. And now they were suddenly being held hostage?

"Cana you don't have to do this, we can just get natsu and gajeel and we can work all of this out with zeref." She tried to explain.

"She's right!" Levy frantically agreed slowly reaching for her phone in her back pocket unbeknownst to cana.

"No she's wrong!" Cana spat.

"Just-just give me the money and i'll let you all go, considering laxus isn't here i'll just rob you and tell zeref your dead." Cana smiled relieved she didn't have to kill anybody.

"No! Cana you know good and well i can't give you any money, how will i bail laxus out of prison?" Lucy frowned.

"Your husband, your problem." Cana shrugged.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Levy's p.o.v

Lucy was working as a great distraction. As she continued to mumble about her finacial issues i dialed home and to my luck gajeel answered.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Gajeels p.o.v

I was lying on the couch after packing almost everything in my closet.

I can't believe i agreed to go to rehab but if i had even the slightest chance of saving my relationship with the shrimp I realized that i had to do something and fast.

I looked through the brochure of the rehabilation facility and scoffed at how nice they made it look. Clean bedrooms with a window views and activities such as painting, piano playing, book clubs, cooking classes and even swimming lessons.

But i know that it's just the opposite, watch how i get there and be greeted by dim lights a piano with a missing key and a window view of a trashy alley with a man taking a leak on the grafittied wall.

Yup that sounds more like it.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by the shrimp calling me.

"Hey, where are you your supposed to be picking me up." I growled.

"Gajeel." She whispered her voice shaky.

Oh Mavis, what now?

"Levy? What's up." I asked, trying not to sound worried.

"Cana is trying to rob us and potentially kill us." She whispered again sounding really worried.

"What?" My eyes widened.

Cana? Wasn't she supposed to be tending some bar or getting drunk some where?

"No time to explain jus-" Levy's voice was cut off and nothing but the dial tone rung.

"Sh*t.."

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Okay i'm not lying when i say it took everything i had to write this chapter. But i'm really trying. Anyway thanks for the support and PLEASE review and comment on what you think should happen with this whole scenario.
