(The next day) 6 days before the crash

"Well Mr. Dreyar it seems like we've managed to build a case for you, but you will be called up to the stand to testify what happened." Porlyusica said placing her notes and folders back into her briefcase.

"Okay anything to get me out of this hellhole." Laxus said running his hands through his hair.

"The trial will be in 6 days, i'll contact you if anything changes until then we'll just have to hope and pray that everything works out for the better." She said giving laxus a hopeful look.

"Yeah and umm thanks." He mumbled.

She nodded and headed out the door getting ready to contact Juvia's lawyer Mr. Doranbolt. She pulled out her phone dialing the number that she was handed earlier through the court trip she made to get some files on Laxus.

"Hello?" A man answered sounding like he had been interrupted from something really important.

"Yes, this is Ms. Porlyusica and i'm working the case of Laxus Dreyar against your client Juvia Vastia." She replied.

"Oh, well I guess we have a lot to discuss." He said sounding a bit more professional then he had a few seconds ago.

"Yes we do." She agreed.

"Well does your client want to plead guilty on second degree murder or is he going to stand trial?"

"Stand trial."

A scoff could be heard on the other end followed by a sigh. "Well I must say this is a really big risk considering there's a lot of evidence against him and his criminal records leave much to be desired."

"I'm quite aware but I believe he has a chance." She said knowing how hard this case was going to be for her but also believing that this is the chance to make her come back.

It was silent for a few seconds before he spoke again. "How about I make you a deal? He confesses to 2nd degree manslaughter and he only serves 5 to 10 years in prison with no parole?" He persuaded hoping that the woman would have enough common sense not to go up against him.

"I'll talk to my client on that one but Laxus Dreyar is a man that does not go down easily Mr. Doranbolt and niether am I." She spoke her confidence radiating.

"Well if you and your client change your mind you know where to call me. But if Laxus is charged with 2nd degree murder he will face death by lethal injection, or life in prison." He said his tone obsolete and void of any emotion.

"When was this put into action?" She spoke stunned at this new information.

"Oh so I guess your unaware?" He said sounding surprised as well.

"Unaware of what?" She questioned wondering just what this man is saying.

"Well Juvia claims that this was premeditated but evidence can't really prove that he meant to kill Lyon but Juvia does have evidence that he has been in an act similar to the situation."

"How so?" Porlyusica urged the man to spit out whatever he was going to say.

"Well Laxus has been charged with attempted murder of his wife Lucy Heartfillia."

"His wife?" She spoke startled by this accusation.

"Yes, Juvia claims that Laxus has tried to kill her more than once, and medical records have reported lucy being sent to the hospital multiple of times. And some with serious injuries."

Porlyusica shook her head at this news realizing that Juvia must realy want vengeance against her client to stoop to such levels.

" I asure you that Lucy will testify against this accusation" She replied.

"Well..she has 6 days otherwise the trial will continue on and let me tell you..the jury really doesn't like men who abuse their wives."

Gajeel's p.o.v

"Are you sure that was levy on the phone?" Natsu said pratically shaking with anger at this point.

"Yeah i'm positive that it was her, besides she was supposed to take me to rehab and she never showed." Gajeel said having a real bad feeling to everything that was happening.

"Well we gotta find em." Natsu said getting up his fist flaring with flames.

"Hey cool it flame brain we don't even know where they are." Gajeel countered annoyed with how he didn't take time to think things through.

"Well we're not gonna get any closer by just sitting here!" Natsu yelled.

"Oii natsu gajeel's right." Happy said.

"HEY WHO SIDE ARE YOU ON!?" Natsu yelled.

Happy held his ears wishing that he would think clearly for once.

"There's no sides but I think I know someone who knows where lucy is." Gajeel said.

"Who?"

"Laxus."

"But he's locked up."

"I know but he spent a lot of time around levy, cana, and lucy he's bound to know something!" Gajeel growled hoping that what he was saying would be true.
"Fine let's go pay laxus a visit."

Erza P.o.v

Erza awoke to the sound of car horns beeping from outisde and immediately wished she hadn't drunk two bottles of whiskey because her hang over felt like death itself.

"Uhggg." Erza grunted.

She slowly gathered her thoughts and checked her cell phone to see she had 3 missed calls from her doctor.

Erza rolled her eyes as she tossed her phone across the room.

"Great another worthless day." She stood up clutching her head.

Before a knock was heard at the door.

Erza groaned as she slowly made her way to the door and opened it.

And who stood there shocked her to her core.

"Hello Erza."
