A/N: I'm updating! I'll try to update every Friday so you all can have some semblance of knowing that I will finish this, but I'm not promising anything. Life can get in the way sometimes, so we'll see what happens. Enjoy!

Two weeks later, Jess and Rory were getting ready to leave the house for their first Friday Night Dinner since the grandparents had been back. Jess was never happy about going, but this Friday he was very annoyed.

Jess sighed. "Do we really have to go?"

Rory rolled her eyes at Jess' reluctance. "Of course we do! Grandma and Grandpa have been gone for three months and this is the first Friday Night Dinner since they've been back. We're going."

"Aren't you worried they'll comment about your pregnancy?" Jess asked, in one last attempt to change Rory's mind.

Rory narrowed her eyes at him.

"Sorry, sorry," Jess quickly apologized, trying to avoid another mood swing. This was not something he needed or wanted tonight.

"Why are you so reluctant to go anyway?" Rory wondered. Jess never really wanted to go, but he never complained about it so much.

Jess shrugged. "I don't know. I guess maybe I'm worried they'll figure out we lied to them and then they will yell at you for lying and me for letting you and at Lorelai for not stopping us and it will be a huge disaster."

"Don't borrow trouble," Rory told Jess.

"You look fantastic!" Lorelai commented to her daughter outside the Gilmore mansion.

"I can't see my feet. I'm huge," Rory argued.

"You are not huge," Lorelai contradicted. "I was much bigger than that when I was in the middle of my fourth month."

"I'm at the end of my fourth month, Mom," Rory reminded her.

"In that case, you look wonderful!" Lorelai exclaimed.

"Is the baby kicking?" Emma asked.

Rory shook her head. "I haven't felt anything as of yet." She turned her head to her mom. "Don't you think Grandma and Grandpa are going to comment on the size of me when they think I'm only in my third month?"

"I don't think so," Lorelai said. "They know pregnant women are self-conscious about their size."

"Grams won't really care, Mommy," Aaron reminded her.

All the members of the family laughed as Lorelai rang the doorbell. "She might, Aaron, she just might."

A maid opened the door and directed them into the living room. Emily was sitting on the couch with a drink in her hand. She quickly jumped up when the family entered the room. "Richard," Emily called in the direction of the study. "They're here!"

Emily quickly hugged each of them in turn and stopped when she got to Rory. "Well, let me look at you. You know, I think you're going to have twins."

Rory and Lorelai traded looks. That was Emily's subtle way of saying, My goodness, you've gained a lot of weight for only being three months. Rory also looked at Jess and smiled at his pained expression. He was so sure Emily was going to figure out the lie and then kill him.

Rory slightly jumped when she felt Emily's hands on her stomach. "Grandma, what are you doing?"

"Just seeing if I feel anything," Emily told her rather nonchalantly.

"I haven't even felt any movement yet," Rory told her grandmother. "I'll let you know when I do though."

At that moment Richard came into the room. He hugged Lorelai, Emma and Aaron and shook hands with Jess. He came over to hug Rory too and after he did, he placed his hands on her stomach. "Has the baby moved any yet?"

Rory struggled to not roll her eyes. "No, Grandpa, not that I can tell."

Richard still kept his hands on her stomach a bit longer and Rory also struggled to not move away or move his hands herself. She had never been one to want to touch pregnant stomachs. She never even touched her mom's and had no desire to, even when the baby's were kicking. If Emily and Richard were going to touch her stomach every week, these Friday Night Dinners were going to get old very fast.

As per usual, they all met up at Luke's after leaving the Gilmore's. Jess, Rory and Lorelai sat on one side of the table and Emma and Aaron sat on the other side. "What is it with pregnant woman and people touching them!" Rory exclaimed.

"Dirty!" Lorelai and Emma cried, laughing.

Rory rolled her eyes. "You guys know what I mean."

"You don't want anyone to touch your stomach?" Aaron asked.

"Well, I wouldn't care if you guys wanted to," Rory admitted. "I'm just a bit uncomfortable with Grandma and Grandpa doing it. I'll also be incredibly uncomfortable with random people walking up to me and asking if they can touch my stomach. I also don't really want my friends to do it either. Just the immediate family."

Suddenly Rory gasped.

"What's wrong?" Lorelai asked.

"I felt a kick," Rory said in awe. She picked up Jess' hand and placed it on her stomach right over where she felt the first kick. Soon after, there was another kick. Jess seemed to be in awe as well.

"Can I feel?" Emma asked timidly.

Rory nodded. "Come here."

Emma walked over and jumped up on Lorelai's lap. Rory directed her on where to place her hand. As soon as Emma felt a kick she squealed and pulled her hand back. "It feels so weird."

Rory laughed. "Yeah, try having it inside you."

"Not for a very, very long time," Luke said forcefully walking over to their table.

Lorelai laughed and rolled her eyes. She thought it was hilarious that Luke was trying to clarify such a statement, when it wasn't even possible at this point. "I hardly think Rory meant now, Hon."

"Definitely not now!" Rory agreed. "I think the baby's calmed down though. I don't feel as much movement as I did a few minutes ago. Sorry Mom, Dad, maybe the next time the baby kicks you can feel it."

"Oh trust me, there will be plenty of other times," Lorelai said with a small laugh.

They all began to eat their food. Well, Lorelai, Rory and Emma did. The boys hadn't ordered anything since they just came from dinner at the Gilmore's, but the girls were definitely Gilmore women and could eat at anytime.

Jess placed his hand back on Rory's stomach gently. "I can't believe our baby is moving."

Rory, Lorelai and Emma exchanged looks. "Awwww," all three said in unison.

"You're such a softy," Rory cooed sweetly.

"Aw, jeez," Jess groaned. Rory smiled to herself though, noticing he didn't move his hand away.

It is sooner, right? I hope you liked it. Let me know what you think in a review please?
