Day three.
Natsu woke up finding little wet patches on his pillow. He must have been crying in his sleep. He looked around his messy house to try and find the blue puff ball, but he was nowhere to be seen unless he was buried under all the mess but that was unlikely. The young teen couldn't stop thinking of what Lucy said yesterday.
"And then when I look at you..." she froze and looked up. The blonde mage stood up and walked off to a space in the room. "I look at you and think 'wow what a great guy I wish I was his friend' and it hurts me inside to know that you are my friend but I know nothing about you or who you are. To me you're like a STRANGER and I'm all ways having to keep my guard up."
He left after hearing what else she had to say, he just couldn't bare the pain off his best friend whom he loves to bits call him a stranger. That night the words stranger kept repeating over and over in his mind as he slept. He didn't know why he was so affected by what she said but it hurt him deep inside his chest. It hurt him so much he couldn't bare the pain any longer so he left. Even thought it hurt him every day to see her adoring face and see in her eyes that she was either sacred of him or had no clue who he was.
That fire mage had been regretting everything since he asked Lucy to join him on the mission.
(Flash back)
"Hey Luce, let's do this mission" the idiot ran up towards the blonde who was drinking her strawberry milkshake sitting at the bar whilst chatting to levy about a new book she had been reading.
"What is it now Natsu?" she huffed whilst turning round to face the eager mage.
"I'll catch ya later Lu-Chan" Levy said as she waved good bye.
"Okay." The blonde smiled back.
"Lushi, let's do this mission." Said the blue blob, which was on top of the pinkies head. Lucy grabbed the Flyer from their hands.
It said,
WANTED.
Dark mage captured who erased a whole town near the western wood.
REWARD. 100,000 JEWELS.
Once the mage had read the letter she seemed shocked.
"Why should we do this?! Shouldn't this be an S class mission?"
"Why should it be an S class?" Natsu said as he tilted his head in confusion.
"It said this guy erased a WHOLE TOWN!" she said pointing at the words on the flyer whilst showing the boys.
"Lushi please, Carla said I couldn't do it and if I could then she would go fishing with me." The exceed jumped off the pink idiots head and floated down into the blondes arms.
"But I don't think we can do this?" Lucy started to question the mission that she was being asked to go upon.
"C'mon Luce, For Happy's sake and the fact that this could increase our chances of being S class wizards." He said that last bit quietly so know one other than Lucy and Happy could hear. The blonde thought long and hard about it. She looked over to the blue puff ball, who gave her kitty cat eyes with little sparkles in them.
"Fine" she sighed as she gave in to their charm.
"YES!" Natsu and Happy said in union.
"But only for happy and not the other reason." She said quietly so no one could hear her other than the two idiots' in front of her.
Lucy jumped of her seat placed the money for the milkshake on the counter and left through the doors followed by a very happy exceed and a stupid dragon slayer.
At the train station Lucy, Happy and Natsu were waiting for their train to arrive.
"Can't we just walk there?" Natsu groaned.
"No and beside's this way will be quicker." The blonde said back getting tiered of his complaining.
"Yeah, that way I can prove to Carla that I'm strong and brave then she will go fishing with me." He flew up in the air exaggerating the last part by throwing his arms in the air then floating back down and landing on Lucy's head. The celestial mage just giggled at the cat.
The train arrived which caused Natsu to groan like a baby.
On the train Lucy was staring at the blue cat that was doing a one. man? Conga.
"We are do-ing a mis-sion. Carla will go- fishing with MEEEEE!" he kept repeating the same thing over again. Once he had finished his little conga he slumped down into his seat and closed his eyes mumbling his little conga. Lucy couldn't help but giggle at the love struck cat.
"Lu-cy sa-ve m-e" Lucy looked to the man next to her who was holding his stomach and groaning in pain.
"If it helps you can use my lap as a pillow." Natsu dropped on to her lap which cause her to jump and the heavy landing he had. She gazed out the window whilst letting her fingers run through his pink locks. She head the mage moan once or twice and feel his head nudge towards her more.
"I guess you like that then" Lucy said giggling to herself.
"What am I going to do with you?"

He realised he had to show her and tell her the reason she was like this or he would never live with him self.
