Okay, so it's been a while. Sorry. This chapter was going to be a little longer but I got bored so I stopped. Hopefully it doesn't suck too bad. At any rate, read and tell me what you think. (:

Disclaimer: If I was Stephanie Meyer, I would have friends that didn't talk about me behind my back and piss me off to the EXTREME.

There are a few things in here that I don't own either. Like, Porsches, McDonalds, LG Shines (except, technically I own one, since it is my phone, but I'm not like the you know, creator), and anything else I forgot.

Shopping with Alice--

Edward's POV (Again.)

It was decided that Alice and I would pick Bella up at nine on Saturday, so we wouldn't have a problem with traffic as we traveled into Seattle.

I walked up her front porch stairs and knocked on the door—Alice had made me retrieve her, because she had to perfect her hair or something. The doorknob rattled and Bella appeared, looking simple and cute in her dark wash jeans and deep blue t shirt. She was on the phone.

"They're here. I've got to go." She motioned for me to hold on, and she fetched her purse off the table. "Have fun at your wedding. I love you too, Emm. Bye." She hung up and grinned. "Let's get this party started."

I laughed. "I thought you hated shopping?"

"I do."

We climbed into Alice's yellow Porsche; Bella up front and me, the lone ranger, in the back. My sister was bouncing with excitement and she had the radio turned up so loud it was hard to think. Bella didn't seem to mind though. She jumped right into the lyrics of "Poppin' Champagne" by All Time Low and danced with her friend. It was a good thing we were still in Bella's driveway or we would've crashed by now.

The ride into Seattle was filled with laughter, conversation and singing, by all three of us. Yes, sometimes even I can't resist the musical temptations of Shinedown, even though I'm a die-hard Debussy fan. Finally the city appeared and Alice made a bee-line for the mall.

The first store we went into was a dress boutique, filled with prices pieces of nonexistent fabric. It was at the top of Alice's list—go figure. She and Bella perused the racks while I waited at the magazine stand, avoiding the lustful eyes of the cashier. It hadn't been ten minutes when my sister was pulling me towards the dressing room; she had at least ten dresses in her arms. So did Bella. The poor girl gave me a distressed look. I smiled reassuringly.

"Sit," Alice barked. I obeyed.

They each came out and showed me their finds, twirling and posing. Alice confidently modeled the skimpiest of dresses. Bella, however, stuck to simple, more modest ones. She looked absolutely beautiful in all of them, but there was a slight air of insecurity. I couldn't help but gawk at the last one she tried on. It was strapless, exposing her elegantly pale shoulders. The midnight blue fabric stopped just above her knees; I couldn't keep my eyes off her. My gaze made her uncomfortable, and she quickly ran back into her stall. I cleared my throat and shook my head.

"I loved that one, Bella!" Alice cried. "Buy it, please?"

Bella chuckled slightly. "I don't think so. It was a bit too…revealing for my liking."

"You didn't look like a skank, right, Edward?"

"No," I whispered. "She looked quite nice."

Alice squealed. "See! If Edward liked it, I bet Emmett would too."

Bella came out of her stall and hung all her dresses on the rack labeled, "Returns."

"Thanks, Alice."

"Where to now?" I asked after Alice paid for her stuff. I noticed she managed to sneak Bella's dress in there somehow. I swear that girl's a con artist.

"Shoes!" Alice screamed. Bella and I winced at her enthusiasm. I hated shoe shopping with my sister. She always took forever. Poor Bella.

Alice linked arms with us both and skipped off towards the nearest shoe store. It was huge and filled top to bottom with all kinds of footwear imaginable. Oh boy! Alice immediately took off; she was out of sight within seconds. Bella and I walked up and down aisles, making fun of all the weird shoes we saw. Some were really chunky, like they'd be awkward to walk in. Others looked like there would be nothing on the face of the planet that would match them. Some were just plain ugly.

We turned a corner, headed to another aisle, when Bella promptly ran into someone carrying a stack of at least twelve shoe boxes. They all toppled over and brought—

"Alice?"

My sister was sprawled on the floor next to Bella, the shoeboxes thrown around them. The two girls sat up, looked at each other, and burst into hysterical laughter. When they'd settled, Alice gathered all the pairs she'd picked out for Bella, who groaned after peeking at a pair of stilettos. She refused to even put the "death traps" on; Alice heard none of it.

"You'll do fine, Bella. They'll make your legs look sexy and long."

"And in the mean time, I'll break every bone in my body as well as those of innocent bystanders. But I guess since my legs will be sexy…"

It was my turn to laugh as Alice tackled her friend and sat on her legs. Despite her pixie size, she was strong. She forced Bella's flats off her feet and strapped on a pair of yellow stilettos, and hopped up.

Bella examined her feet before she stood up. She teetered on the skinny heel; I instinctively grabbed her waist to steady her. Her chocolate brown eyes widened up at me, and that cute blush popped out, vibrant as my red LG Shine. I couldn't help but stare into the rich pools of her eyes; there was something—I don't know what—holding me there.

Alice cleared her throat and I was brought back into reality. Alice grabbed Bella's hands and began walking her up and down the row, teaching her to "be confident, and let the shoes do the walking."

Let's just say you won't be finding Bella's picture next to "graceful" in the dictionary.

My sister tried her hardest to teach Bella how to walk in the heels; but even when she seemed like she was getting better, she'd fall. Eventually Alice gave up and led the way towards the check out.

Bella and I hung back. We didn't speak to each other; I think she was still in shock about me grabbing her. But I didn't do it on purpose! I couldn't just let her fall.

"What do you mean you can't find the other shoe?!" Alice barked.

The terrified sales boy stuttered, "S-sorry, ma'am, but it i-isn't back t-there…"

"You're wrong! Go look again!"

I rolled my eyes. Bella was trying not to laugh. I nudged her side. "Want to get out of here?"

She nodded and we ran out of the store.

"Finally!" I took a deep breath. My nose filled with the smell of lotion, French fries and leather.

"Now where are we supposed to go?" Bella asked.

"Hmm…" My stomach growled. "How about lunch?"

We headed in the direction of some Golden Arches, and soon my appetite was satisfied by greasy fries and a Big Mac.

"So tell me about you," I said, wiping my mouth.

Bella sipped on her Diet Coke. "What do you want to know?"

"Anything. Everything. It doesn't matter; I just want to enjoy this brief time without Alice."

She laughed. "Well, I'm an only child. My parents are divorced. My mother lives in Florida with my stepfather. I've lived in Forks my whole life, and chose to stay with Charlie when they split just so he wouldn't be alone." (I'm aware she didn't really live there her whole life, but in order for this Emmett thing to work she has to. Okay?)

She paused for a French fry. "Your turn."

"I was born in Chicago. I've moved around a lot because of my father. We adopted Alice when I was ten. It was hard at first; I wasn't used to sharing stuff. But I got over it."

Bella looked at me. "Is that all?"

"I'm pretty boring." I shrugged.

She shook her head. "Not boring, just…quiet."

I laughed. "It's your turn."

Our lunch went on pleasantly, each of us taking turns sharing random facts about ourselves. I found out that her favorite color was blue, she hated getting presents, and she was allergic to Play-Doh. She thinks bees are cute and she loves rereading books.

I was just about to tell her about my eleventh birthday party when I accidentally hit Alice in the face with a shovel, but I was interrupted by none other than the drama queen herself.

"There you are!" she panted. "I've been looking all over."

"Did you fix your shoe problem?" Bella asked.

Alice grinned evilly. "Oh yes. All it took was a little persuasion." She smacked her lips.

I rolled my eyes. "Can we leave now?"

There are pictures on my profile of the dress and the shoes. If you want to see what I had envisioned. So now, review, while I go read this good book called Born Confused by Tanuja Desai Hidier. (:

Oh, just for kicks, see if you can find the one thing in this chapter that I've done. I'll give you...a big shiny trophy, and some skittles.
